Pastor David Walker- "There Is More!"
Conversation Series - Ep21 - Richard McCaleb
Episode 21 | There is More with David Walker
In this heartfelt and wisdom-filled episode, David sits down with Richard McCaleb, a seasoned San Antonio real estate businessman whose life story is marked by resilience, humility, and unwavering faith.
Richard opens up about growing up in San Antonio as the youngest of four, discovering his passion for real estate in eighth grade, and navigating one of the worst economic crises in U.S. history — the savings and loan collapse of the late ‘80s. From interest rates as high as 19% to watching entire institutions disappear overnight, the hardship shaped the conservative, steady, and principled approach he carries into every business decision today.
He shares the early years of marriage to his wife Serena — including walking through the trauma of her father’s death — and how faith and perseverance became the foundation that strengthened their 38-year marriage and growing family. Richard also reflects on the powerful legacy of his parents, married 74 years, and a moment near the end of his mother’s life that brought deep emotional healing after decades of unspoken pain.
Today, Richard’s work in commercial real estate is built on simple values: relationships, integrity, hard work, and “chip shots” instead of risky swings. His latest RV park project has become more than a business deal — it’s now a place of ministry, where military veterans receive support, care, and even join weekly worship gatherings on site.
This episode is full of practical wisdom, powerful testimony, and reminders that God can use every season — even economic collapse, family tragedy, or business uncertainty — to shape us into who we’re called to be.
🎧 Watch now and be encouraged to trust God in both the highs and the lows — because there is more in your story than you think.
