A bungee jump with no cord, a “kids” video that feels coded for adults, & a horror movie built around a wish that destroys lives. That’s how we kick off Season Six, and the whiplash is the point: when systems fail, whether it’s safety rules, online platforms, or basic emotional judgment, the fallout is real. We talk through a tragic bungee jumping accident in Brazil and why it feels less like an accident & more like preventable negligence.

Then we pull up a viral internet clip that looks child-friendly on the surface but plays as highly suggestive within minutes. It sparks a blunt conversation about algorithm-driven kids content, what parents can realistically monitor, & why “millions of views” is not proof of harmlessness. If you care about online safety, parental controls, and what kids are actually seeing on autoplay, you’ll recognize the problem immediately.

From there we get into our Obsession movie review, breaking down the One Wish Willow concept, the performances, the creepy-funny tone, & why we land around a 7 to 7.5 rating despite the social media hype. We dig into character choices, loneliness, tunnel vision, and the brutal lesson underneath the supernatural plot: wanting something badly does not make you ready for it. We also share theories & clues, including the weird clock moment, the backwards book, and the cat thread people keep debating.

Cold Open And Awkward Setup

SPEAKER_00

Have you ever actually like flirted with Nikki?

SPEAKER_02

I'm gonna go get some shots.

SPEAKER_00

How can we if she means this much to you? And I know she does. To say, Nikki, I think we should grab a drink sometime. Nikki, wait, I was gonna ask you, um what? Ugh. I I lost my train of thought. I couldn't what else? Why one wish we'll love. You only get one wish. I wish Nikki Freeman loved me more than anyone in the entire world.

SPEAKER_02

I love you so so so so much. I love only the branch of a willow tree.

SPEAKER_03

Good God.

SPEAKER_01

It's weird how you two are dating a little bit. Like super dating.

SPEAKER_00

I think Mickey is going through something. So she's just stuck like this forever? As long as I live.

Season Return And New Format

SPEAKER_09

We're live for it. Yeah. Look at uh furious over there. He's not too happy right now. So what? He got your head done, brother. You don't look excited to be here, man. That's not funny. Just kidding. Here we go. All right. So in the middle, as always, guys, we got Julia. Yeah, welcome back, Julia. Thank you for coming back. We didn't scare you away. That's a good thing.

SPEAKER_03

No, no.

SPEAKER_09

And on the far right, as always, we got Furious. There we go. Yeah. We're back. Alright, guys. So we're back. Season six, finally. Um, what feels like a decade. No, it's not that long. But we're back. Um, we're gonna start off with doing something that we did a few years ago. We're bringing it back. I already spoke with these guys about it. We're gonna have a current event.

Brazil Bungee Jump Death Case

SPEAKER_09

We're gonna start with the current event, and then we're gonna get into today's topic. Which today's gonna be kind of a review episode. Yeah, not kind of, it's gonna be a review episode, but we're gonna be reviewing two things a movie, and then something else that's also kind of weird, like the movie that we just watched. Um, but anyway, before we get into that, today's current event, I want to go over something that happened, and I'm probably gonna get my dates wrong. I don't know exactly when it happened, I believe it happened earlier in June. So, there was a woman that falls to her death after being thrown from a bridge without without a bungee cord attached to her, and it happened in Brazil, apparently. Twenty-year-old were it was a twenty-year-old year old woman named and Sao and Sao Paulo, I probably said it wrong, Brazil, after being sent off a bridge for what was supposed to be a bungee jump, except her cord was never actually attached. What should have been a controlled jump turned into a fatal and an instant and moment was captured on video. Yeah, we're gonna put that on for you guys to see as well. Authorities initially brought it up, brought in six people for questioning, and have since arrested three of them in connection with her death. The incident is now being treated as a criminal case, which it should be, as investigators work to determine exactly how she was allowed to go over the edge without her equipment secured. As I was saying. All right, here we go. So yeah, he it's claiming that they're claiming that it might be criminal, which I feel like it might be too, because that's how do you accidentally that was my first question. How do you not know the quarter is not secured? You know what I mean? Did you see the video?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I saw the video on um on TikTok. Yeah. How do you I mean before even before launching her, there was something attached to her?

SPEAKER_09

And we're back. So that was the video. Um I don't know how you can screw that up. That didn't look like an accident to me either.

SPEAKER_05

Especially that I mean, I hope they weren't new. If they they do this, this is a tourist attraction, and then it's pretty screwed up, I know. I mean, I I try not to laugh, but they legit just took her off.

SPEAKER_09

Sorry, I know, just the way you I'm not I'm not laughing at her, I'm laughing at just your gestures. I don't know.

SPEAKER_05

That is I mean, I'm kind of glad they got charged with uh murder. Or that they got arrested, right?

SPEAKER_09

They they got arrested, three of them did. The three that actually tossed her over got arrested. And what about you though, over there furious? How do you feel about it?

SPEAKER_07

That Brazil thing. They should be arrested for, you know, just negligence. That's a good way to put it, because that's really what it was. Because I mean they probably just weren't paying um paying attention. And then, you know. They just forgot to tie it up. Yeah.

SPEAKER_09

The thing is though, and I think you're right, the only one that looked like he was concerned was the one in the back. Yeah, like if you're not sure. You're the one in the back.

SPEAKER_05

The rope is supposed to be like dangling over you, right?

SPEAKER_09

Or near you.

SPEAKER_05

Or like you should know where it's secured.

SPEAKER_09

Anyway, rest in peace to that woman. We're sorry that happened to you. I heard 21. 21 years old, guys, Brazilian woman. And the crazy part too is that I heard that she actually didn't die on impact, she died. Of an injury? Yeah. At the hospital. So she survived that fall, dude. That's why I was like, man, that makes it far, far fucking worse than what I originally anticipated it was, but you know, God be with her, her family. That's terrible. Without spending too much time on that dark topic.

Creepy Kids Content On YouTube

SPEAKER_09

I want to switch over to something that's not, I don't want to say it's lighter. It's just it's it's I laugh at it because I remember when I was showing it to he's seen it already. Furious has seen it. But we're gonna show you, we're gonna show uh Julia here for the first time. The first review that we're gonna do today, as we make this transition over, is about a video that we find I don't know if I'm gonna describe it as disturbing, because it is disturbing, but it's uh it's just alarming that this is uh I don't wanna say it's targeted at children, but it's definitely made as if it was for children. And that to me is kind of alarming enough, you know. We're actually gonna put this video up on the screen for you guys to see. And you're gonna see our reactions a bit live, okay? Here we go, okay? So you already laugh. She's kind of like, I already know where this is going. It's bad, but hey, we didn't make this video, okay? This is something that just exists on the internet for the sake of existing. I don't fucking know. Ready? Can everybody see it okay? Should play when you're ready.

SPEAKER_02

Uh uh-uh. What am I supposed to do with this? It's the size of my finger. Wow! I've got this huge fanta! You better see what I got. Woohoo! I'm so glad. Wow, Zach was so lucky. Well, you know what? I'm gonna enjoy this. Let me take care of my fanta. Jelly came out of it. I can't wait to taste it. I think I instantly swallowed the bottle. Uh Monica looks like you drank it all. Well, now it's my turn. I love Monica. This is so delicious and yum. Oh, there's still a little bit left at the bottom. I want to drink everything. Everything down to the last drop. My tongue is stuck. Oh no. Zack, Zack, I need some help. Oh, okay. Give me the bottle. I pulled it. Whoa! Hey, what are you doing? Get off me. Zack, what are you doing? That hurts. Oops, sorry, Wendy. You better take care of your fontack. Oh yeah. I'll be glad to. Where do I start? Let me try squeezing this bottle like this. Doesn't seem to be working. Poor Zach. He can't even try his font. What if all you want? Stop. I have an idea. Let's take the bottle and tilt it. Like this. Whoa! The chili's just pouring out. I'll grab some different zaps teas. Just a little bit more. Come on, almost. One powerful punch.

SPEAKER_09

Wait, wait, it's almost done.

SPEAKER_02

Great, it worked. Oh, Wendy. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that. Well, now it's time to eat. Oh, how delicious. Do you want to try it? Covered in sticky orange dude. These things are ridiculous. What are your thoughts on that?

SPEAKER_07

Highly suggestive.

SPEAKER_09

Bro, come on, y'all. Like Julia's face.

SPEAKER_05

That's horrible.

SPEAKER_09

Thank you. That's for kids.

SPEAKER_05

Because this is for children.

SPEAKER_09

That's for children.

SPEAKER_05

But they've been doing this for a long time now. I mean, if you think about it, like the Amanda show had very inappropriate things.

SPEAKER_09

That's true. But you saw that though, right?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. That's a good point.

SPEAKER_09

For sure. You see how her eyes were rolling back. She was in her tongue a lot. I was like, what is going on here? It's really wrong. The one in pink was really selling it. Like mass relight.

SPEAKER_05

Did you find that because like your girls like that?

SPEAKER_09

Yes, yes, it did actually. It's a true story.

SPEAKER_03

So it is sad.

SPEAKER_09

And I took away from my I took away from my oldest immediately because I was like, what the fuck is going on? I was hearing what she was saying. Yeah. And then I just looked. I glanced it at the when you know she's first dumping it in her mouth, the medium-sized one. It looked so wrong to me. Didn't it look wrong? You saw that, right?

SPEAKER_05

The little one look wrong.

SPEAKER_09

The little one looked wrong. The medium look wrong. They all look wrong. And then she goes out and lick it. I'm like, what the f I was like, what the hell are you watching? And I took it out of her hand. I was like, and then she didn't know. My my oldest didn't know. You know, but she's like, I'm sorry, Poppy. I was just watching. I was like, no, this, you're not gonna watch this. You're gonna watch something else. So I don't know. How do you look at that and not question like how the fuck? You know how many views that video had? How many? It has, I'll tell you right now. It has 29 million views. It was posted three years ago. Has 105,000 likes.

SPEAKER_05

That's clearly for an older audience. Thank you.

SPEAKER_09

That's that's exactly what Furious was saying, too. Like, there's no way that's just for kids.

SPEAKER_05

Like, no, it's for an older audience.

SPEAKER_04

Fuck no, dude.

SPEAKER_09

And that's only that was only two minutes into it. That was only two minutes and 22 seconds into it. 22 minutes.

SPEAKER_04

Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, we could have watched the whole thing, but I was like, nah. I don't think you guys want to sit there and watch everybody. The whole video is that bullshit. Basically, yeah. And if you fast forward, it doesn't get any better. So I'm just like, it's sad. More and more suggestive. And these are adults, these are not children that are doing the acts. You saw that on the screen. I showed them as well. I showed the audience as well. But those are clearly adults that are doing the actions. Like those kids, those are all legal adults doing that. So how do you do that and think that it oh, this is this is good. This is not bad. This is not gonna look wrong at all. Yeah, or maybe they just don't give a shit. But I just wanted to get your genuine reaction out of that. Because I saw that and I was like, dude, there's no way we can't talk about this on the podcast. Like it's thoughts. Anybody have thoughts they want to add to that? Because I think mine are pretty straightforward as far as that goes.

SPEAKER_05

Like that's I mean, like I said, it's that this has kind of been going on for a long time now.

SPEAKER_03

True.

SPEAKER_05

You know, even with the whole was it, um Zack Schneider? What's his name? The guy from Zach Schneider. From the um from Nickelodeon.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, um, Dan Schneider. Dan Schneider, there you go.

SPEAKER_05

So it's like it's like that. He was a pervert.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

He did a lot of inappropriate jokes that we didn't obviously understand when we were little, but when you're older, that documentary came out. I was like, oh yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_09

No, for sure. I agree.

SPEAKER_05

That's sad.

SPEAKER_09

It is sad. It's very sad. That's yeah. But anyway, guys, okay, let's uh let's uh now that we're past the awkwardness and weirdness of that video that I just showed out of nowhere that that uh Julia here did not know we were gonna go over.

Obsession First Reactions And Ratings

SPEAKER_09

Let's switch over. It's actually not, it's the opposite of nice, so let's just go with uh creepy, fucking eerie, awkward. I don't know what ways you can describe this movie. A hyped-up movie that's been talked about all over the place. So you guys have seen it everywhere. We're actually considered late at this point to fucking talking about it. Supernatural is probably the best way to describe it. Quote unquote horror movie, uh obsession. So, yes, we're talking about obsession today, guys. We watched it this morning. Early and caught an early showing of it, 9 55. Our theater only had like seven people, I think, in there total, maybe.

SPEAKER_04

If that did you see there was kids?

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, I did see that. Yeah, there was young kids. I thought that was a little weird. There was young kids in there. With their parents, they had parents with them, yes. But I thought it was strange that they were there too, yeah. I was kind of like, I don't know, understand the idea here, but okay, yeah, anyway, there's kids in there. So, yeah, obsession, man. Um, first thoughts. Um, we'll go down right to left. We'll start with uh Furious over there. Okay. What'd you think? And I was actually curious to really get your thoughts on this, sir, because I know you're a big fan of Hereditary, and some of the cast members were saying, and I quote, guys, I don't want to say it verbatim, I don't know word for word, but I heard some of them saying that they watched that movie in preparation before they started filming this one. I believe the main actress did, and so did the main, the lead.

unknown

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, to kind of like get because that's the I think it's the vibe they were kind of going for, but hereditary. I know you're a big fan of Hereditary, so your uh opinion on it mattered a lot to me. So what did you think?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, I think acting-wise, like the uh the girl. I mean, I I can see influences from hereditary, you know, the way that Tony Collette acted and the way that she acted, kind of like unhinged. It's kind of similar, you know, like knowing that connection, I can see that. Yeah. Um, other than that, as far as like like the story, I like the story. I mean, it wasn't like too like complicated. You know what I mean? It was pretty easy, straightforward, pretty like straightforward and shit like that. It just had a little twist, but but yeah, I I agree with it.

SPEAKER_09

You know, it was cool, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

With the yeah, with the influence.

SPEAKER_09

Okay, cool. Yeah. What about you, Julia? Were your uh what were your first thoughts on this?

SPEAKER_05

It was funny.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

I thought it was hilarious. Um creepy, obviously, but it was good. I people were calling it a 10 out of 10. It was I mean, I don't think it was a 10 out of 10, but it was a pretty good movie. I don't think so. It was entertaining, definitely.

SPEAKER_09

What would you rate? I was actually gonna ask you guys that and I kind of forgot to ask Furious that. What is your rating on it? And we'll go back to Furious in a second.

SPEAKER_07

I mean, I don't think any anything's perfect. I'll say I'll give it like a like a 7.5, and I think that that that's good, just because like films always gonna be like subjective, you know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_09

There's no such thing as a perfect film, right?

SPEAKER_07

0.5 because I mean I mean if if if we watch it again and again and again, we're gonna find little plot holes and little things like that.

SPEAKER_09

There's plot holes in everything, I agree.

SPEAKER_07

There's plot holes in life, all right? But as far as like as far as like first watch, I mean I liked it. You know, as far as like first watch, it was it wasn't it was it was entertaining, kept you uh engaged, you didn't really know what was gonna happen, you know, so it kept the suspense and all that stuff. But yeah, and I and I don't feel like anything was really like played out or like or like overdone in the movie, you know. It was very like consistent and it had a really good rhythm to it. It wasn't like it wasn't overdone or like over the top, like it was very um explosive, but it wasn't over the top, which is dope. Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

So yeah, I think I agree with you. It was I give it a seven, it was funny, entertaining. I jumped it was a jump scare twice for me.

SPEAKER_09

Um wait, it's just a solid seven or a seven point five.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, solid seven. I give it a solid seven.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Um but for it being like a I guess like a low budget film, meaning like they didn't spend a lot of money on it. It was the cast was fairly new. Um this director was first time making a movie, you know, and it blew up. So yeah, I think a solid seven, really good, really, really good. I can't wait to see the the girl who played Nikki. I can't wait to see her and other stuff. Cause she was really good at playing crazy. That laugh, the all of it.

SPEAKER_07

I mean was great. Yeah. No, it was. I I feel like to add, like, I feel like this is like an equivalent of like of like get out. It was in my opinion.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, because she was stuck inside of herself. Yeah. Couldn't really do anything. Somebody else was controlling her, yeah. But yeah, yeah Get out is still better though.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, but but even just like just like the whole like you know, YouTube to uh film type of type of like transition, because even with like even with Key and Peel. Key and Peel it was the same thing. So I think it was it's pretty dope for like like a first time, first or second time director.

SPEAKER_05

For sure.

SPEAKER_07

You know, like it was yeah, well good a good um execution.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, what about you? What about you, AJ? What did you think about obsession?

SPEAKER_09

Honestly, I I thought I thought it was good. I thought it was good. Um you guys kind of you guys kind of beat me in what my I was originally gonna say. I was like, man, I think I should have gone first. You were like, man, you should just borrowing our rating. No, I I legit thought. I thought it was good. Um honestly, if I had to rate it, I probably would rate it. I was gonna say I was originally gonna say seven, too, honestly, but I'd say I'm gonna go with 7.5 too. I almost gave it an eight, thinking about it again, but I was like, nah. I think a six, I think a six a 7.5 is is a fair rating. I agree with uh Furious to take on it. Yours is good too. Obviously, we're all around the same range. It's not really much of a difference if we're being honest here. So I I would say that is moving my rating just because it was everything I expected it to be. It wasn't trying to be more than what it was. It's very simple, like he said. My first my just my open thoughts on it. I thought it did good. I think that for what it was trying to accomplish, it accomplished its goal and makes you think and wonder, which is what I want to talk about with you guys. It was gonna be the next part of this during the review. I'm gonna ask you guys what you would have wished for. If you had that thing, would you have even made the wish? Would you have been like, man, fuck this and just leave it there? Or if you made a wish, what would it be? And you gotta make sure you're thorough with it because as we already witnessed here, these wishes are they come backhanded and they come with like a negative aspect that comes with the positive, right? So just to give you guys a scenario Let's say you say you've made a wish, right? In this case, Furious said he would do it for a billion dollars. I don't know if he's gonna use that wish right now, but he told me off the record billion bucks, like the guy did in the movie. Well, that billion dollars is not gonna come out of thin air. Even though it fell through your roof, it came out of somebody's bank account. Matter of fact, came out of a mobster's bank account, so now they're looking for their money.

SPEAKER_05

Because it was rolled up. Did you?

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, I did say I didn't notice.

SPEAKER_05

In the movie, yeah, it wasn't just like cash like raining. It was it was balled up and rubber band. Like someone had covered it. Yeah.

SPEAKER_09

You see my point? So that came out of somebody's account. Or maybe it came out of several accounts. Because you know what, mind you, this wish probably just borrowed it from somebody that already existed and just gave it to you. What he should have said was, I wish for a billion dollars that was my money already. And to the world, it's my money, it's not missing from anybody's account. You see what I'm saying? You gotta be super, super like clear to the wish what you want, right? Otherwise, it's gonna find a way to fuck you up.

SPEAKER_05

Like, yeah, but granted, he didn't take him seriously, that's why he said that.

SPEAKER_09

He was like, Oh, a billion dollars. Well, yeah, not and he's like, Oh, I got it. Yeah, fool, but someone's looking for that money. I promise you, somebody's looking for that shit. Of course, we didn't investigate that because that's the movie wasn't focused on him, but just scenario. But anyway, those are my first thoughts. Uh, I thought it was good. Um, is it a 10? No, like everybody was saying, is it like, oh my god, it's God's gift to horror or God's gift to the genre? People were overhyping it, in my opinion. I'm sorry. Like, if I have to be completely honest with you guys, I would say that it was overhyped. It's a good movie. Don't get me wrong, don't kill me in the comments now. Don't kill me saying that I'm like, oh, I'm going overboard with it, or I'm not being fair to the movie or to the filmmakers because they did a fantastic job. What I'm saying is, is it as good as everybody's making it out to be? No, not in my opinion. I don't think it's like, oh fuck, that's you gotta go see it.

SPEAKER_05

I mean, social media is always gonna overhype things. Yeah, but not like this though.

SPEAKER_09

Like, this is the best fucking horror movie since I've seen in a while. Even reviewers that are usually tough on movies, I haven't seen some of them. I like watching their stuff from time to time. And I was surprised that they were even writing it. Like, dude, this is a fucking good. I was like, okay, I'm I gotta go watch this shit. Because if these guys are even saying that, which don't get me wrong, it has its wild moments, it has its old shit, its creepy moments, but like you, I was laughing more than I was jumping out of the chair.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, no, same. Same, I was laughing way more. Um, it was funny, just because you know the craziness and stuff like that.

SPEAKER_09

So it was funny. Her reactions as well. So yeah, Furious, those are our initial thoughts on it. Well, I know you gave us yours, but to go a little more in depth, um, what did you guys what

Desperation, Loneliness, And Bad Choices

SPEAKER_09

did you like about the movie? What did you not like about the movie? We'll start with you. Furious.

SPEAKER_07

I mean, I like the I like the disturbing parts of it, you know? Yeah. What I didn't like about it, uh I don't like the I didn't like the fucking simp guy. I don't I I I like the lead role. I I like his character.

SPEAKER_05

Bear.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

The guy who played Bear.

SPEAKER_07

He wasn't much of a bear. You know what I'm saying? He was just very He wasn't much of a bear. Like, but the thing is, is like there's many examples of him in the real world, and it's it was just cringy to watch. It's like, bro, like I know someone like that, you know, or maybe he used to be like that. You know what I'm saying? It's just yeah, it's it was a very good uh very good depiction of how a very desperate guy can be.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

You know, when it comes to a woman that he's very fond of, and it's like, and he she's not showing any interest back whatsoever, you know. And he tries to, you know, cheat the system. No, I agree. And even though it was it was in vain, like he like he didn't know anything was gonna happen. No, he didn't. But the thing is, is like he was that desperate, like he was willing to fucking risk that shit, you know? Yeah, and I think he thought it was more bullshit than anything else. Oh, yeah. To be honest with you, you know? I mean, yeah, so I'll say that that's the one thing I didn't like about it, just like his because I like like I said, you know, like you you meet people like that, and it's it's crazy because like like trying to talk people out of shit like that, like you can't get through to them. No, you can't, you know what I'm saying? Like you're fucking stuck in that shit. So like seeing that I'm like, damn, like that that shit really happens out there. Like there's people out there that would fucking if that was a real thing, they would do that shit. You know? But then I do like how it, how I do like in a sense how he kind of gets not punished, but like humbled in a sense where it's like, okay, bro, like you asked for this shit now, hey, like now you gotta not like fucking now it. You know what I'm saying? Like you think that you wanna be be a fucking player, this and that. You gotta now. You know, obviously it's a it's a it's a it's a twisted version, but it just shows like just because just cause you want it doesn't mean that you that doesn't mean that you that think you should have it.

SPEAKER_08

No, I agree. You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_07

I agree. Everyone sometimes like sometimes people won't want what everyone else wants and shit, or whatever one else has, like like like his like his homie, he was really good with the with the ladies and stuff like that. He wanted that, but it's like bro, like that's not you. Uh uh or or at least for the for the time being, you know, you gotta work on some shit to if you can get up to that level, but it's like he was just he was trying to do too much. Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

You know, just too desperate. I agree. Yeah. So you hated Bear's character. I didn't like it. Just because like like dudes do get like that sometimes. You know what I'm saying? So so it really showed like, bro, like the lust of women, the lust of women and you know, women's affections and sex and all that stuff is a is a it can be a weakness, and of course, it just it just exemplified that.

SPEAKER_09

I think it's just that it's that, and it's also not just the weakness of men, but loneliness being alone. I fucked with you, like you know, movie started. He looked depressed, bro. It's just him and his fucking cat. Like, that sucks, man. But it's like and then they show the montage when they're having a good time together. It wasn't all horror. People did you know, we people forget to talk about that part of the movie. It shows what I'm assuming. Was that a couple days, you think, guys, or a couple weeks, maybe a month when maybe I gone by?

SPEAKER_05

It was a couple weeks. I mean, it seemed like a couple weeks, yeah.

SPEAKER_09

Right? They showed like a montage, so there was a lot of good times, and I'm sure he got to finally have sex with a woman of his dreams, and it was probably good, at least for him it was, through all that. So it wasn't horror the whole entire time, but I think that's that that little montage what I'm what I'm bringing up for is that I think that's what he wanted. Forever.

SPEAKER_05

That's exactly what he wanted, right? Exactly.

SPEAKER_09

So they showed that, they made sure to show that he got that, but then it was short-lived because then it is outshaded by what ended up being the case, you know.

SPEAKER_07

He wasn't ready for that shit. And that's like that's like that's like taking fucking natural though. You know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_09

Get that natural, like he could have had that with somebody that really wanted that with him, like with the girl. And not somebody that yeah, yeah, but he could have had that with her, yeah. She had a kid.

SPEAKER_05

Because she liked him. He was well kind of leaning towards her.

SPEAKER_09

Did you guys catch that? You kind of started to feel it, like, oh, you wanted to kiss me when it was your turn?

SPEAKER_05

He liked Nikki for sure, but it was more of an infatuation for him. He he liked the idea of her, how pretty she was, and obviously, you know, because she was, she is.

SPEAKER_03

She is pretty, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Very, very attractive woman. Um, I he was more the idea of her, I I think, because he was obsessed. He was yeah, he was obsessed because he didn't, he could have easily worked for it. I mean, look, instead of buying her, remember, he she was like, Oh, I just dropped my crystal down the drain. He went to that shop to buy her a crystal, but instead of buying her the crystal necklace, like initially he had planned, he bought the one wish willow. So it's like he that that's already where his mind is. Like he's like, I don't think I can get her. I want her so badly, but I don't think I can. Let me not let me just make this wish instead of actually working for it. You know, so I think for him it was more of a lot more of an infatuation than actually genuinely caring and about this person and and wanting to care for her. It was more like it was very selfish, I think.

SPEAKER_07

I agree. But he got he got humbled because he got humbled real quick. All that glitter isn't gold.

SPEAKER_05

So, you know, and it wasn't even her. He that's that's why it started going bad for him because he started pulling back, and obviously she's obsessed with him, you know, she's super in love with him. Um, and it wasn't going his way because it wasn't Nikki, and he he started to see that and he didn't like that. And even when he had the time, the chance to to to reverse it or whatever, he didn't want to fully reverse it. He was just like, No, I just want to alter it. Yeah, yeah. Like he's he's still like is it wrong for sure.

SPEAKER_07

Or at fault too. The only the only thing, the only nuance about that to me is like that's not how it is in the real world. No, no, no. No, no, no. You don't you don't get a wish that it's gonna make that shit happen. So I feel like in the real world, like you do have instances where dudes aren't like that they're they're given the chance to be up front or to be direct, you know. And at times, like because of of you know, like FOMO, you know, like you know, like the thick and fear of fear of missing out, yeah, they'll they'll acquiesce to just, you know, uh um what's it called? Omission. They won't say anything or they'll just you know be like aloof because to them they the opportunity may not may not come again. So I can see that, but the movie like had it in a very like black and white type of thing. Which is not how it is, yeah. It's not how it is. But but but it was a very I think it was a good uh example though. You know, like you know, like it's kind of like if you could have it your way, you know, and it goes wrong, this is how this is how it could go. Yeah, no, for sure.

SPEAKER_09

I agree. And I and I'll say like I think I think with with with the situation now say my thoughts, and then I'll ask uh Julia what she what you liked and didn't like about it. Um he might have had a chance with her. I know a lot of people could go straight to the fact that she didn't like him at all. Like I don't think that's the case. I think I think that she was obviously she was banging the the friend, even though he wasn't her friend. They're not really friends, that's not really his friend. Uh Bear's friend, Ian, or whatever. That guy really wasn't his friend. But anyway, she was you know hooking up with Ian guy. And then I guess with Bear, she saw that he was softer, that he listened to her when she talked. Like she even made the comment in the car and the way he was taking her home. That I feel like you're the only one that listens to me about this kind of thing. Like I can talk to you about it. That was your way in right there, bro. I think could have been, right? But then but then when she asked him to be straight up with her, that was your opportunity, not to be too cheesy about it, but to be like, Yeah, you know what? I actually rock with you. You're the only one that was nice to me. You're vibing with me, I was vibing with you. I wanted to see where it could go. I think if you deliver it like that and not like a creep, like he was kind of pouring his heart out too much. Some women like that. Remember how in the beginning he showed how he really felt that might win some women, but it might scare, it might terrify other ones, and that might be too much emotions at once, you know what I mean? For her types, and she's kind of like doesn't really come strike me as a type that likes that kind of ooey-gooey shit, go a little lighter, rougher, where they're almost like, you know what? Yeah, I actually do vibe with you. I wanted to see where this goes. You're attractive, I'm attractive. I I just think that he couldn't fucking read the room. Like honestly. That's too. But he but he doesn't have the confidence to even say what I just said. He straight up, yeah. I find you you're gorgeous to me. I think that we vibe, I have a good time talking with you. You enjoy talking to me. I want to see where that can go. He wouldn't even do that. And she asked him, remember, she first left the car. Are you do you like me? Like, bro, she's even said this is the time to tell me. Remember that? And she gave him a chance. And he was, and he what does he do? Instead, he lies to her. Uh yeah, as a friend, Nikki. I'm like, oh my god. And even then, but but even I wasn't shot, right?

SPEAKER_07

Even then, you gotta you gotta think about it, right? Okay, like, okay, from from from his from his like perspective, right? He was a virgin, right? He never had shit, right? Never. She's over here banging, banging God knows who, right? Whatever, right? So she's she's got like she has nothing to lose or shit by asking him that, right? He has no other experience. So for him, it's a first-time thing. So I can see why he would be apprehensive, right? Obviously, with his age, you you would you would suspect that he should just have the courage to just, you know, just tell her what it is. But it's like, I think when it comes to that, like that's that's one thing that people miss. Like, they think that that dudes got the same uh confidence levels. Not not confidence, that's not nearly confidence. They think that dudes have the same ability to just get to just make intimate moments like that, and they don't, like, especially him. Like, he that was his first time. He doesn't he doesn't he doesn't know what the fuck to do. I think maybe because we're experienced he gets put on the spot. Yeah. So it's like, I mean, his answer, like, I mean, like, if if he did share whatever he had to share with her, he could have still gotten a no. Obviously, you know, you know, you can shoot your shot, you make it or you miss it. But I think that um if he had just read the room, he wouldn't have even asked her that shit. He wouldn't, it wouldn't have even gotten to that point, you know, because it's like once you find out that that your friend's banging the girl that that you like, most dudes will lose, most dudes will fucking lose interest. Yeah. They're like, eh, I'm not sure.

SPEAKER_09

Which she kind of did. Uh just speak on that one thing, and the one I'd add that in real quick. Um he remember remember when Sarah tells him about them hooking up.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_09

That already kind of shifted him a little bit. I don't know if you guys noticed it. I noticed it. That's why later on, fast forward to this movie, and obviously, spoilers by now, you guys should know this. But there's a towards the end of the movie, he basically tells Ian that he knows about them by saying, just here's another one wish Willow, bro, just unwish the wish, say hey, before you snap it, say hey, I wish you know, I wish Bear never made the drink. Exactly. Then he goes, make the wish saying that I wish I never made the drink. Then you can have her. Then you can have her, dog. I don't give a shit. I think he meant that. That to me came off sincerely as fuck. Like, I don't want her at all, bro. You can keep her. Now that I know y'all were fucking, you can have her, bro. I don't want nothing to do with that now. It's too late. Yeah, too late. Of course. It's done. It's done, it's done at that point. But anyway, so what did you like about it? What you didn't like about it, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Uh what I didn't like about it was obviously Ian, the friend. Uh, I think if if Bear would have obviously, like you said, paid more attention and hadn't been such a I'm telling you, it was very, it was very one-sided. It was just his side. Like, I like her, I'm infatuated with her, I think she's amazing. I mean, he said I that's that she's all he thinks about. So that's already kind of borderline like he's infatuated, he has you know, because we some usually when you develop a crush, it's like you start imagining yourself. Yeah, you start imagining yourself with that person, then you make up scenarios that aren't real. So obviously he was completely overly infatuated and he couldn't see anything else. He couldn't see that Sarah that Sarah, he couldn't see that Sarah liked him. He couldn't see that his friend was obviously trying to get in the way of Bear really opening up and talking to Nikki because he was banging her for two years off and on. So his friend had an agenda too. So I didn't like that. I didn't like that Bear was well, he was dumb. Okay.

SPEAKER_09

What do you think Ian's agenda was?

SPEAKER_05

Huh?

SPEAKER_09

What do you think Ian's agenda was?

SPEAKER_05

Ian just wanted to, he liked her. He wanted to keep yeah, he wanted to keep banging her. He liked her. He probably the only way he could show it was by continuing to bang her off and on, you know. Um, but you could tell Ian was trying to get in the way of it. I mean, come on, like when they were in the bar, they were gonna do the trivia. Bear was looking at him like, hey, talk to Sarah so I could talk to Nikki. And then Ian straight up was like, no, like, not here, not right now. But when was later, you know? And then he's at the bar with Nikki and he comes and interrupts. So it's just like his friend, yeah, exactly. He wasn't reading the room, his friend was not a good friend, and Bear was just there was just one side, there was just one, like Nikki was the tunnel, was at the end of the tunnel, and that's all he saw. He just had tunnel vision. All he saw was just wanting to be with her. Yeah, um, so I didn't like that part, and like Ian, and I didn't like how ignorant Bear was. Um, what I did like very inexperienced, very shy, very cowardly, very cowardly. Because if you actually did care about the unattractive traits, yeah, you would have never made that wish if you actually really did care about it. You would have gotten her the crystal necklace like you initially had intended to get it.

SPEAKER_08

And win her the right way, bro.

SPEAKER_05

And then talk to her in the car. That was your in. And you know, yeah, she probably would have said, you know what, I only see you as a friend, or I don't, but that would have been his shot. That's what she would have said. It would have been a shit.

SPEAKER_07

That's what she would have said. I I think because Sarah liked him. Sarah liked him, and Sarah, Sarah looked good too.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, before her face got smashed. But I think Nikki was a little bit of a tease as well, too.

SPEAKER_09

Before her face got smashed with a brick. Sorry.

SPEAKER_05

I think Nikki was a little bit of a tease too, because why was her nickname freaky Nikki Nikki? Exactly. So I think Exactly.

SPEAKER_09

That's why she's like, Oh, I don't like it. You know why you kind of like that? You're freaky Nikki because you're in this freaky shit.

SPEAKER_05

So it's like she's kind of a tease. That's why she asked him that though.

SPEAKER_07

That's why she asked him if he liked her. Because to for him to fucking know that and he fucking calls her that. So, okay, so like you know my history, you want to fuck. That's why she asked him that. Because I think in that moment she was probably down to fuck somebody.

SPEAKER_09

Him, you know what I'm saying? She would have, she would have had sex. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

And for a while, you know what I'm saying? She probably saw, okay, like, you know, blah blah blah blah. And then he was just like, Ugh.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, he folded, like, instead of being uhstead of pulling the trigger, bro, he did the opposite thing, and I'm like, man, this is.

SPEAKER_07

And then when he did get it's not even her.

SPEAKER_05

No.

SPEAKER_07

That's fucking humiliating. That's humiliating as fuck, man.

SPEAKER_05

What I did like about it was just how um how she would uh like glimpses of her would come out. Like she that's her freaking out, being like What am I doing? You know, like when she was on top of him, like kissing him, then she snapped out of it, and like that was her. She tried telling him in his lunchbox, you know, not the cat, not the fit, not the cat on the sandwich, but there were two pictures. It said you, and then the second one was her and him, and then she had Ro, which was I think the real Nikki. She put not me. Like she's already trying to tell him. So I did like that they added that, that they added glimpses of her trying to come out of it, you know. But again, he was very selfish, very infatuated with the idea of her that you know, she's sleeping in the bed. The actual possessed one is asleep, and Nikki starts talking to him and like kill me. And then he's like, What's so bad about being with me? Like, he's already like, he still doesn't want to let her go. Like to give that up, even though it's not really her. He still doesn't want to give that up because he's so infatuated with her.

SPEAKER_07

But but you gotta look at it, look at it like this. Look how much, look how much power like that she has over dudes. Especially dudes that don't like have never had any experience. That's why it's gotta get experience and shit. You have to get like you can't not have no experience because you're gonna you'll be get taken for a fucking sucker. I hate to say it, but you're right.

SPEAKER_09

I mean, everybody that's that that will happen when you give it all to one person thinking that they're gonna give you the reciprocate. It most if you choose the right person, they will reciprocate it, right?

SPEAKER_07

Choose the wrong one, they're not gonna reciprocate it. Yeah, but okay, but but with that being said, do you think that the right person can be your first person? Uh it's possible. There's I'm not I'm not gonna say it's alright impossible.

SPEAKER_04

I don't think anything is impossible.

SPEAKER_07

High probability or low probability?

SPEAKER_04

It happens. I mean, there's those sites. That's not like low probability to do.

SPEAKER_09

It sounds like low probability. Yeah, I think so. It unfortunately is low probability, but it's it's very probable. Yeah, it's possible. It's just still.

SPEAKER_04

I mean, they have those high school sweethearts, so yeah. And they do happen.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, it's a low percentage, but it does happen. Yeah, so you can't just outright rule it out like no, that won't happen ever.

SPEAKER_05

I think it also takes both people being inexperienced. That's what it's like. High school sweethearts. She had a whole bunch of experience. He had not been. Oh, a lot of freak freaky niggas.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, so because when you hear that, the first thing you think of that's what you're gonna think exactly. You're not gonna think anything else. What the fuck? Oh, freaky. That's a play, that's a playful name. Nah, she's getting dicked down all the time, bro.

SPEAKER_07

Like, yeah, and you know, okay, I'm not I'm not I'm not talking down on any sluts either. Okay, I'm not I'm not saying it. You like sex, you like getting that. That's women. You know, yeah, it goes for both. But a nickname, you gotta make sure that, yeah, no, you can't do it.

SPEAKER_05

No, I'm just saying, because there's men, whore men and slutty men, and then there's slutty women and whore women. It is what it is.

SPEAKER_07

But you can't have one without without the other, you know what I'm saying? Like we're both, we're all in this together. That's true.

SPEAKER_05

You brought it up. I'm just saying it's big.

SPEAKER_07

I wasn't both. I wasn't, you know, d defending anything. I'm just saying, like, it's too detangle.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, it really does.

SPEAKER_09

And you know what? It's consensual easy for both parties. So if it isn't, that becomes grape, right? That's what they say.

SPEAKER_08

Freaky Nikki.

SPEAKER_09

Um, yeah, but man, okay, so that would you that's what you finished, right? What you didn't like? Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

What I didn't like and

Real-Life Parallels And Relationship Tangents

SPEAKER_05

what I did like about it.

SPEAKER_09

Okay, and for me, what I liked, I did like that it it didn't feel like a traditional, I guess, thriller horror movie. I I feel like the premise has been done before, but it hasn't. I can't think of anything that is similar to it, right? I know that other movies play with the idea of making a wish and then it going wrong. I've seen that before.

SPEAKER_05

This was more of a modern for sure. Modern take of it.

SPEAKER_09

It's more of a different take of it, yeah. It's been done before, but it's it's done at least this time in a refreshing manner, right?

SPEAKER_08

In the more I mean not, I think of it. Hold on.

SPEAKER_05

And it's actually it's very like crazy. Like she would she went like ballistic and it was really.

SPEAKER_09

But it wasn't her though. This is the fucking wish. This is the Willow branch doing this.

SPEAKER_07

Okay, it's actually the Willow Branch entity. Have you ever watched a movie called Fatal Attraction with Michael Douglas and Oh, yeah, that's similar.

SPEAKER_08

But not like this, though. This is crazier than that. Are you sure? I never watched it.

SPEAKER_05

Fatal attraction. Yeah, because what somebody pays her, right? No, okay. Am I thinking about the wrong one? Okay. What is that one about? I haven't seen that.

SPEAKER_07

In a in a fatal attraction. In fatal attraction, yeah, it's an older movie, Michael Douglas. Uh he's like some type of business guy or whatever. He's he's at this party for for his for his like company.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_07

With his wife, right, who's very bri who's who's very pretty, whatever, and he sees this this this woman there who's also very pretty, and she's all like looking at him and stuff. Like they have a very brief like conversation, nothing happens, whatever. Then they meet up later, and then they fucking hit it off, right? And then, of course, when they start off, everything's good, everything is fucking sparks flying, everything's all beautiful, and then things, of course, slowly start taking a turn for the worse. Of course. And she's batshit crazy. Oh, she's a crazy, okay. And he's trying to fucking, you know, but but when everything's good, he's fucking obsessed with her. You know what I'm saying? But once she starts showing her the other side, he's like, fuck, like, get away and shit. Okay. What did I get myself into? Yeah. You know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_05

So okay, so similarly, except he didn't make a wish, but it wasn't magical. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

It's like psychological.

SPEAKER_05

I gotta watch it. There's another one. It's not, it's not that. It's where this millionaire sees Demi more. And like, what's that one called?

SPEAKER_06

Disclosure?

SPEAKER_05

There you go.

SPEAKER_07

That was good too.

SPEAKER_05

I've been wanting to watch that one. I know completely off topic.

SPEAKER_07

No one wants it too. It's a good thing. She did break in that movie.

SPEAKER_05

He's a millionaire or billionaire. He sees her, but she's married. So then he makes a proposition and is like, hey, can I sleep with your wife for like what five million? My bad.

SPEAKER_07

I didn't watch this one. I didn't watch it. Oh, okay. My bad, so I got the wrong title.

SPEAKER_05

It's an older movie though, because Demi Moore is like super young and hot. And um you said five million?

SPEAKER_03

I don't know.

SPEAKER_05

It's something, it's it's a ridiculous amount of money. So then them as a couple, they go home and they start talking about it. They're like, man, this is a lot of money. Like, should we do it? Should we so they both agree. She sleeps with the millionaire, and then it the whole marriage ends up kind of slowly trickle like to the like it just starts going bad because now he's insecure. It I've been wanting to watch uh let me look this up.

SPEAKER_07

That's that's kind of like what like what happened with uh what's her name? Adam uh 22 and uh Lena Paul.

SPEAKER_08

Lena Paul? I mean Lena the Plug. Whatever her name is.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, the oh the Adam the how the boxer was like calling what are you talking about?

SPEAKER_07

Lena the plug and Adam 22. Adam 22. You know what those people porn star did?

SPEAKER_05

Oh, they were Lena the Plug and Adam 22? Yeah, she they really cut up. What was his name?

SPEAKER_09

No, I just made it up right now. I just made it up right now. No, but he's a cuck. That fool I mean, let his wife fuck other people. You know, they used to make porn together.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_09

And he would only he'd be the only one clapping girls' cheeks, and then she would only sleep with him. He would be the only guy.

SPEAKER_05

And then the roles reversed.

SPEAKER_09

Yes. And that's why for a while before he before he allowed her to do that, everybody looked at him as a king. Like, damn, before your girl lets you fuck all these ways. But then she slept with a black guy, right? Yeah, that was the first one that he allowed, and then that was all downhill from there.

SPEAKER_05

And then everybody made fun of him.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, because he is weird. Like, you don't just do that. I mean, honestly. She was already crazy enough to let him do what he was doing with all those women. That's their thing, right?

SPEAKER_03

That's their kink.

SPEAKER_09

That was their but then but then now now his wife's getting cracked by other dudes. You just never know. Flowered by everybody, bro. Who knows? I mean, that's gross. I personally wouldn't want her. Fuck you, keep her, bro. You can have her now. I don't want her back. It's disgusting, dude.

SPEAKER_07

But like he knew what he was getting into with that. He had to know, bro.

SPEAKER_05

They sold it to OnlyFans, right? Or something like that? Yeah, I believe so. That that video of the wife sleeping with the black guy. They sold it to OnlyFans, so they made a lot of money off of it. So I don't think she cares.

SPEAKER_09

They were trying to up the cloud. He probably doesn't. Yeah, I got paid. All of them and he's smashing too. He probably has no emotional any more attachment. He looks dirty.

SPEAKER_05

I mean, so does the wife, but he just looks extra dirty.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, they're both like anyway. Yeah, we're just we'll save that, we'll save those thoughts for another day, but I agree. I agree. He does look dirty. If you look at him, he looks like he's like an like he stinks like something, right? Like he reads the smoke or something. Or like hasn't showered in a while. He just looks like a smelly dude. I agree. Like you go nerdy. Uh anyway, dirty people look aren't always dirty, but anyway, that guy looks dirty. Anyway, let's move on back. Let's go back to the top.

SPEAKER_05

Well, we should talk about the theories.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, I'll just come 10 next.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, okay, cool.

SPEAKER_09

Alright, so that's pretty much it. I mean, what real quick though, what I didn't like about it was I I didn't like I didn't like his character, kind of like with Sal was saying. I didn't like Bear. I just wish he would have been different in different situations, but I am kind of proud of him for snapping out of it there at the end. He had to.

SPEAKER_05

The girl, Sarah died, and then Ian got popped in the head.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. I wasn't too too mad about that. I wasn't either. I was actually kind of happy. Fuck him, bro. He kept his guy. Ian, fuck his character.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, he had it coming. He did. I was so happy.

SPEAKER_07

He was like, boom, boom, right in the head. He should have dummed his ass. I think that he should have just fucking enjoyed enjoyed his wish and just left. Bro, he could have. Why the fuck would you go to that?

SPEAKER_09

Let me put it this way. You can hear Nikki going crazy inside. Yeah. If I heard that, I agree with Sal. I would have turned around.

SPEAKER_05

I have a billion dollars.

SPEAKER_09

You can go to a whole nother side of the country and find 10 Nikki's motherfucker. Like, way look, you know what I'm saying? Like, what are you doing going back over there? Or maybe he was trying to be a now, he was trying to be a good friend. Hey man, you put me onto some shit that actually worked. I want to give you some of this money. You never know. Because why was you rushing over there? Think about it, think about it. Well, because it definitely won't know now. He has a bull in his fucking bed and he's dead on the floor. So hey, you'll never know now. They're all dead. Matter of fact, and Nikki's probably doing time in jail for the rest of her life. No, the theory is, yeah, they're all dead except for Nikki, and she's doing time now.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, because her finger friends are on the gun. She's fucked.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, you can't explain that.

SPEAKER_05

She killed Sarah.

SPEAKER_09

Well, there's only one way. She would have to have to do that on Saturday. The only card she really have to play at that point is Freaky Nikki. It's just I feel so bad because the only one is Frankie Nikki.

SPEAKER_05

He took her life. Sorry, what? No, it's okay.

SPEAKER_09

I had to do the soundbite for that.

SPEAKER_05

He took her life. He took her, he ruined everything. He really ruined everything. All your friends are dead. She's snapped back out of it. She's going to be accused for these murders. Yeah, he ruined everything because he was a little bitch.

SPEAKER_09

The end of it was eerie. As far as like hearing the credits roll with her crying in the background. That's sad.

SPEAKER_07

Technically, though, technically though, he didn't like on purpose ruin it because he didn't because he didn't think that that the shit was going to work. He thought he thought that was a gimmick. Even though like the like the lady was like, oh, people like complaining about up, you know, about the wishes and shit. Probably because they didn't make good wishes. Right. But he asked about that skeptical at first, and then he's just like, man, fuck it. This is not gonna work. He fucking, he, he doesn't have any faith in it, right? It happens, it backfires. So now, I mean, yeah, it was from a from it had a had a bad origin, but like it's like he was trying to correct it the whole time. And it's just like he he realized his his mistake, but it's like it's you know, there's there's there's a cost of something.

SPEAKER_05

He realized his mistake, but he still wanted to keep her in love with him. Because like I said, he's makes it wrong. He was like, Let me ult can I alter the wish. He still wasn't willing to like take it away.

SPEAKER_07

Because he was whipped, yeah. Unengaged, unengaged, too.

SPEAKER_06

I know that is crazy. I guess the thing is you're willing to put up with to have it like that. That's what happens when you have no experience. Well, you're you're willing to accept that. I was just about to say willing to accept that shit. When you have experience, you know better.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, because remember she starts kissing him, like and she and he's like, Okay, I love you too. When he when she had clearly what did she do?

SPEAKER_08

Oh, the wish. She made the wish for it. No, no, no. No, no, no. This was way before the.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, when um I think when he she took the cat out and left it in the kitchen.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, oh, she made a sandwich and shit. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

No, that was before the sandwich. He was like, he was like, You can't do that. Like, that's oh, when he came home after he was drinking Catri came home and this was before he saw the the door was duct tape. This was before. Yeah. Remember, she's reading the book, that's backwards. It was that um, and then she starts kissing him to manipulate him, and then he's like, like he forgets about it. He's like, Oh, I love you.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

So he was all over the place.

SPEAKER_07

He was all over the phone. That was his first piece, you know.

SPEAKER_05

He was all over the place because in the beginning, obviously, the cat dies because the cat got into his medication. He puts the medication back in the cabinet, and there's a whole bunch of medication. So he was already like either like we talked about this off camera. Yeah, he was off. I think he was had a lot of depression, anxiety, all this other symptoms. He probably didn't sleep good. So he already wasn't a normal, um, mentally stable man.

SPEAKER_07

It just shows though, like how important it is for like people to be paired up in a sense, like with healthy partnerships. Because like if you're just isolated a hundred percent of the time, which he was, and and you want something like that, you'll go fucking crazy. You know, you'll fucking start like going in like basically in into madness in in a sense. Like you'll you're you're you're willing to do anything just to have some type of like connection, even if it's fake, you know, even if it's like manifesting.

SPEAKER_05

But I think that's what got him to that point too, to make that wish, because he was just like I'm infatuated with her, I want her, I'm desperate, I want that love, I want her love, I want her attention, I want her affection. Yeah. I don't know. But you know what?

SPEAKER_09

It's tired of being.

SPEAKER_05

Were you I'm sorry, were you done with your yeah?

SPEAKER_09

Oh yeah. I I I didn't I didn't hate him, like I said. I liked uh yeah, I was gonna say is that at the end of it, I liked what he finally did with snapping out of it because he didn't have a choice, like you guys said. But at least he he was trying to like be done with it, like fuck this shit. I don't want it anymore. And I think once he he put his big boy pants on, once he found out his friend was already cracking. So alright, cool. Uh you know what? I don't want her. And I think if Sarah would have stayed alive, he probably would have pursued that because he he started to look interested.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_09

And then her face got destroyed, and he was pissed about that because then he opened her acceptance letter. Found out she got accepted to a to a college finally. So there was a point of there was a part of their me, in my opinion, he was like, Alright, I'm completely done with now. This shit was a mistake, she never did it. She wasn't who I thought she was gonna be, or like I said, it was I was infatuated by, didn't turn out to be who I wanted to be with. So I was proud of him for changing his tone there, but it was way too late. Like you guys at that point, he was already fucked. So there's a lot of way out of there. Yep, it costs for everything you do, and that's definitely a tough lesson to learn for him, and then he learns the hard way.

SPEAKER_07

For real, that shit is it's it's fucked up, bro. Cause like you have to sit with that shit. Yep. And and and and the thing is, see, see, like, see, like, like that's a movie. At least for him, like, at least it's over. You know, he's dead, it's over. Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

In real life, kill himself.

SPEAKER_07

But in real life, you gotta live with the shit. Yeah, you gotta live with the shit. Like, damn, like this fucking bitch. You know what I'm saying? Or like, damn.

SPEAKER_05

No, I really messed up.

SPEAKER_06

Nah, for sure, dude.

SPEAKER_05

Because he did.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

And he didn't obviously know he was gonna mess up. That was gonna be like that.

SPEAKER_07

I agree. So he kind of gets, you know, he kind of gets a first, you know what I'm saying? Like firsty freebie, you know, like freebie, and then hey, it didn't, it didn't work out, but hey, we understand. He gets a fact. Exactly.

SPEAKER_08

No, I agree. But now now I wanted to look at it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but you know, you know, he got killed.

SPEAKER_07

It was his first time, though, so it's like you can't really be mad at him. True, you know. I don't like his character, but I'm not mad at him.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. I mean, why would you be mad?

SPEAKER_06

No, because why would you be mad at him? It's like that would actually be mad, but it's like fuck this guy.

SPEAKER_07

He knew my bear, you know what I'm saying? Like, I actually kind of understood him. I'm like, you know what? I get it.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, yeah. It's still cringy. No, it is, it is, but anyway, yeah. So that that's what I didn't like I did. I liked and didn't like. I don't think I went over what I didn't like, which Yeah, you did. I did, right?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, you didn't like Bear.

SPEAKER_09

Oh, that's right. And then I said what I did like about it that his character changed throughout the yeah. Um, everybody else, I I guess I at the end of the last thing I'll say is I do before we move on to our theories for the movie, I do feel bad for Nikki's character, though. She's definitely the victim. 100%, I think. At least as far as being controlled against your will. That's what makes her the victim.

SPEAKER_06

Metaphysically, yeah.

SPEAKER_09

In my opinion. But is she still a hoe? Yes. Yeah, she can't. A pretty one. And it's sad because I you know what I call a girl that's a hoe that's pretty like that? A waste. Who the fuck is gonna marry that, bro? Nobody. Oh, actually, somebody might be dumb enough too, but I'm just saying, usually when a girl's that used up, it's unfortunately distasteful. I'm serious.

SPEAKER_05

But he didn't know she was used.

SPEAKER_09

No, no, he didn't know that.

SPEAKER_07

I know, but I'm saying most guys that would find that out. It was unmassive turnoff. Who who do we know in our in our lives that that willingly take take those dips? Yeah, there's a couple of things. Come on, man.

SPEAKER_09

There's a couple, you're right. Good point. There's a couple of those, unfortunately. Yeah, we do know house always wins, bro. But I still call it a waste. If you're that pretty and you and you have that many bodies, you don't need to have that many bodies. I'm just saying. But that's just how I feel. That's freaking freaky Nikki. But alright, guys, uh, transitioning over to our theories.

Theories, Hidden Clues, And The Cat

SPEAKER_09

I'll start with Miss Julia here in the middle. She wrote hers down. So we'll go with yours first, and then we'll go on with uh mine and then with uh furious over there.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, well, this one wasn't really much uh it wasn't a theory, but it's just something that I observed in the movie. Um when she first kind of forces her her way in, like he makes the wish right away, and then she comes up and um she gets into his car and then they go to his house. Well, she's in his bed and uh like saying, like, can you stay with me? The time, the the clock right next to her said like 12.

SPEAKER_09

Oh yeah, the numerator.

SPEAKER_05

And then once she takes her, like she starts getting comfortable, takes her shirt off, and then he climbs into bed, the time on the clock changes and it says 1655. So I was like, okay, is this military time? What's going on? So I looked it up and 1655 in I guess in numerology, it's an angel number. It's a powerful spiritual message to embrace personal transitions, release outdated habits, and trust your intuition to manifest positive outcomes. Obviously, it wasn't a positive outcome, but it was, you know, a symbolism already, which is no, and it kind of symbolizes what Bear's idea or what his whole goal was.

SPEAKER_09

I think he was trying to manifest what you just read. Yeah, so I mean that's what I think he was trying to do.

SPEAKER_05

That's what was on the the clock, so it was like uh it was kind of just like a like a pretelling of the clock was in his room.

SPEAKER_09

No, I agree, it's pretelling.

SPEAKER_05

Um third, uh second, it was I don't know. It wasn't a theory, but it's just something I observed. You know, she was just pretending she was obviously playing the part, you know, because of his wish. Um there was a part where she was reading the book. She wasn't reading anything, she was just sitting on his couch and the book was backwards. I don't even think that the whatever had taken over the original Nikki. I don't even think it knew how to read. Because it wasn't reading, it was backwards. And the third one, this this is my theory. I don't know. Um in the movie, okay. In the movie, he calls you know the number on the back of the one wish willow. The voice, actually, to me, the one that answers him, kind of sounded like Bear, just wasn't so like you know, innocent and not as freaked out. He was more calm and neutral and kind of just like like even him answering. Yeah, like he when the when the other voice answered, it was kind of like annoyed that he's calling. Yeah, I I could be wrong, but to me it kind of sounded like it was Bear on the other line, too.

SPEAKER_09

No, I agree, and I and I think I think real quick, if you don't mind me chiming in, that might have been from the low budget situation.

SPEAKER_03

I didn't think about that.

SPEAKER_07

It was a low budget movie, so I actually looked it up, it was actually the uh director's voice.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, it was the director's voice. Okay.

SPEAKER_09

That's cool. He got involved. That's dope. All right, and he told her, he told him exactly he's like, Well, and he kind of like he almost sounded like he didn't sound professional at all. He was calling it.

SPEAKER_05

No, he sounded tired that he's calling, he's like, hey, yeah, like blend.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, yeah. Is this one with Willow? Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

He was like, Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

He was breathing too. And then the phone is like, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Well, those are mine. Do you have anyories? Or theories, or did you have any thoughts of what you noticed in the movie that were talking about?

SPEAKER_07

Well, I mean, like all the stuff that I noticed was just mostly mostly like the like the social cues and stuff like that, the stuff that like that the that the protagonist was like missing, you know, like just just stuff that like you should pick up on as a person. You know what I'm saying? But but but it's this stuff that people in the early stages of dating and all stuff, they just they just like they notice it, but they don't know what it is. You know what I'm saying? They're like, huh, something like something's awful, I don't know what it is because they've never seen it before, or they don't know what to actually like connect to. Hard to recognize you don't know. They don't know what to what to c um connect it to. Like, okay, like even when he heard about freaky Nikki, he didn't know why she was called that.

SPEAKER_05

He didn't question it, huh? No, he just know oh, he just was like, Oh, she doesn't like that dude. You know, she doesn't like she really gets bothered by that, but he never was like, Oh, well, yeah, but why do they call her freaky Nikki?

SPEAKER_07

You know what I'm saying? But other dudes would be like, bro, she's just you know, she gets around, she's a bop or whatever, you know? No. And so I think when it comes to that, like, and then um, what else? My theory uh on the willow thing, I think that was just, you know, just uh a plot device, you know? Plot device just used to propel the plot. Like it was uh something that he th he didn't think it was gonna work, but it worked, and that's what kind of gets everything started. You know what I'm saying? So I think that was pretty creative because they don't really they don't really explain it. No explain, which is which is good because I feel like if they explained it, now you have a whole nother movie that they gotta make to be like, oh, like who made the will who made the willow twig and shit, you know. So I like I like that it was just simple and just you know, they they like kept the mystery. Straightforward. And like even when when with that with that whole call too, when when like you hear her screaming, you know, it could be the one that's trapped in there, it could be just that you know, that there's nothing in there, you know. It could be just like like everything that's coming with that is is just chaos. You know what I'm saying? Like that could be like what is to be expected, but he just didn't catch on to any of those cues. He was just too infatuated out of touch, you know. Really?

SPEAKER_05

So Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. And honestly, honestly, I didn't really I didn't really like dislike his friend. I feel like his friend at first was trying to wake him up and he just wasn't getting it. He wasn't getting it. Like, like his his his friend was telling him how to, he's like, hey bro, like just tell her. Well, you know what I'm saying? Like he was like, you got you have you have the basically like like you have nothing to lose and shit.

SPEAKER_09

Exactly. And I think what I take from that too is that he probably I should probably I probably shouldn't say that she's easy, like she'll fuck anybody, just at least like you a little bit to do it. I think he was probably trying to let him know, like, bro, if you just push a little bit, you can probably get it. Yeah, you'll get where you, you know what I'm saying? You get what you're trying to get with her because he knows on and off for two years. Come on. So clearly he knows what works and what doesn't work with her. He's trying to tell his friend that in a spot away, his friend. Yeah, but I also I also if you want to, bro, but uh but then again, I don't think he ever thought it was gonna go where it ended up, and then that's how he got jealous when they were together for as long as they were. He's like, Man, fuck the fuck. You know, that's when he's like you said, he started to show his true colors more even.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I don't knock what you guys are saying for sure, but I think he also had his own motives because he he w was enjoying. I mean, they were off, they were hooking up off and on for two years. I think he for sure did have his motives of like, yeah, I like her, but I kind yeah, yeah, go for it, because obviously he's his friend. Yeah, yeah, talk to her, just do it. You have nothing but time. But also his friends had his motives because Sarah tells him in the car um that Ian thinks that Nikki is acting all super infatuated with Bear to get back at Ian.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, like she doesn't be known.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, Ian had told Sarah that, and Sarah tells Bear that in the car. That that Ian just thinks that Nikki's doing that to get back at him. Like to make him jealous.

SPEAKER_07

And they say that and they say that in front of Bear too.

SPEAKER_05

And Sarah tells that uh right before she dies, right before she gets killed.

SPEAKER_07

I think that was to that was probably to like just fuck with Bear.

SPEAKER_05

But you could also see Ian's face when they're like kissing in like the in at work, like in the little. Oh yeah, they show it very, very quickly. He's like staring, like you could tell he's like, like he's he's jealous, like he doesn't like that.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, when they're making out in the corner there, I remember you talking about, yeah. Well, I mean, I feel like when he sees it, he's like, he walks away.

SPEAKER_07

That's just kind of how it is. I feel like anyone who has been with somebody or would actually like fuck with them on the doesn't want to see that. You're gonna see someone like that, and you're like, ah, damn.

SPEAKER_05

But I definitely did think he had his own motives. Like he wasn't being a he wasn't a good friend. No, I don't think he was being a good friend to Bear. I think he was because he was warning him, like, hey, like, she's this way, yeah. Like, just you know, just go for it, but she is this way too. But he never told her.

SPEAKER_07

I feel like this if it's your homeboy and you let a woman get in between you, you're you're not a good friend. That's what I think. Yeah, like that's true too. But like, if you're not gonna be able to do it.

SPEAKER_05

But Bear didn't know that Ian liked her, like, kind of like that, and that would that they were having sex.

SPEAKER_07

To be fair, he didn't know he was very ignorant. But he would have picked up on it if he had some experience. That's what I'm saying.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, and if he wasn't so overly infatuated with her.

SPEAKER_09

Overly, yeah, she could do no wrong in his eyes. That's usually a problem. Yeah. Or red flag, you know what I mean? But yeah, man, that movie was was a trip when it comes to that stuff. That right there, there's so many, and then I guess there's another theory that I wanted to go over. Well, a theory that I want to go over. Supposedly people were saying, you know, because obviously he cooked the cat. Or she didn't, he didn't cook the cat, she cooked the cat. Supposedly, people people were saying online. I've noticed that they're saying that the spirit of the cat, that his cat had passed away, took over Nikki, and that was the entity that was running her. That's why she started doing those weird movements the way she was moving it, kind of moving like a cat. They said it was cat-like movements because of that, and then also how she was cold, how she couldn't read, how you pointed it out, how she mentioned or spoke about the cat. Like, supposedly that that's that's what the spirit was, which makes it fucking.

SPEAKER_05

She was hung up on that cat.

SPEAKER_09

She was, though.

SPEAKER_05

She she she takes the cat out of Does he bury the cat or throw it away again? I tried to throw it away. Yeah, she took it out of the trash can out of the trash can, makes it a cat and then does the little like whatever thing, and then she cooks the cat, and then she keeps talking about yeah, the cat is overly brought up.

SPEAKER_09

She said that no, because the first, yeah, the cat was made as a uh what they call that a memory, not a memory, a memorial. Remember that? She called it a memorial and then she cooked the cat the second time.

SPEAKER_07

I think the cat was just like a red herring on a second.

SPEAKER_09

It could be red heron, you're right. On the back of the and on the back of the red, uh red, wow, on the back of the um Woodwish Willow, it did say tabby cat above the phone number. I don't know why it said that on there, but it did. I didn't catch it. I gotta go back and watch it and pause it so I can read the fucking, you know, the I didn't see that part. It does say it. If you're if you ever if you ever watch it a third time, if you go watch it again, go go look in that when with the scene where he flips it over to look at the back, it'll say it right there. The camera even goes over it long enough for you to read it. It'll it says tabby cat. And then it has warning a warning line right there, yeah. So who knows? That's another theory. But I mean, I think we've been thorough with this. I mean, as far as obsession goes, um, you guys gave it your scores already, I gave it mine. I thought it was good, but I do I do really do believe it was overhyped. I think it was a good it was a good movie. Don't get it wrong. I think I do think it was a good movie. I just I just think it was a little overhyped.

Our One Wish Willow Choices

SPEAKER_05

AJ, if you had a one wish willow right in front of you right now, what would your one wish be?

SPEAKER_09

That was my next question for you guys. He beat me to it. We're gonna wrap it right now with this one. This is the last question of the episode, guys. So, if I had you asked me, right, Julia, so I'll answer it. I've put a lot of thought into this, okay? Because I already know I was gonna ask you guys about it. You just beat me to it. I think if I had a one wish willow in front of me, I wouldn't be stupid and crazy enough to wish for what what Bear wished for. I'm not first of all, I'm already happy. I got my girl, I got my kids. So them existing in the picture still, right?

SPEAKER_05

Mm-hmm. It's your one wish.

SPEAKER_09

I would wish that's I I would probably wish for I would wish for abundance wealth, but wealth that doesn't run out, but that is mine. When it appears, it wasn't just appearing out of the sky like it did to his friend. No, no, it's appearing as if to the world I earned it. Does that make sense? So even though I didn't earn it, the world believes that I did. That money doesn't belong to anyone else. I'd make sure I make that perfectly clear. It doesn't belong to anybody, it's my money. The way everybody sees is that I earned it correctly. The feds aren't gonna be on my ass. Like, does he wash this money? Because you know they're gonna be like, what the fuck? We didn't tax any of that. Fuck that. That money's gonna be already after tax. It's my shit. Uh no worry about. And I and I can live happily with my family the rest of my life with no problems. I can help you guys out financially because I'll have more than enough. A billion fucking dollars, bro. That's enough to help everybody and still get what I need for my family.

SPEAKER_05

So that would be your wish to have a big one.

SPEAKER_09

That would be my wish to have an abundance.

SPEAKER_05

Only a clean billion dollars.

SPEAKER_09

Yes, a clean billion dollars that no drug lord is looking for, that nobody can come out, didn't come out of multiple bank accounts. There's not gonna be anybody after me. I would make sure I make that perfectly clear to the fucking wish, to the willow, to the branch before I break it. I would make it 100% clear that's what I want. No strings attached, no deaths in my family because of the money, none of that. It was just mine earned. Okay.

SPEAKER_05

Crack.

SPEAKER_09

There's one of my.

SPEAKER_05

What about you?

SPEAKER_09

Me? Thinking about it?

SPEAKER_07

Hmm.

SPEAKER_09

I would live I would have to do so much good with that money, man.

SPEAKER_07

I wish for just uh a super uh extended lifespan without getting sick. That's a better wish. Damn, fuck my wish. Or fucking like or like or like or like a big thing. You were saying a billion dollars off camera, motherfucker. I was saying that, you know what I'm saying? But now I'm saying this, you know what I'm saying? But you know, that's a better wish, so I like yours better. A super extended life expectancy with with with without getting sick or like or like crazy aging, you know what I'm saying? And then there you go. And then you can make all the money with you net that you can with that, you know. That's true. Think about it. If you're alive for a freaking for a freaking thousand years and shit, you'll be rich in no time.

SPEAKER_05

That's true.

SPEAKER_07

That is true too. Pun intended.

SPEAKER_09

Okay. Now the question goes to you. Julia.

SPEAKER_05

I would wish for a photographic memory. Because that does exist.

SPEAKER_09

It does.

SPEAKER_05

But there are people that you you you read a page or whatever, and then boom, it's right there.

SPEAKER_09

Actually, I think that's a good idea.

SPEAKER_05

So I think, yeah, I would do that for intelligence. Uh I'd probably be making a lot of money because I, you know, go to school and I don't know. I don't know, probably get into tech or something, or be a really awesome surgeon or doctor. Yeah, I would wish for a photographic memory. I don't think that's gonna harm anybody.

SPEAKER_07

Hold on, hold on, hold on. So would you wish for for for a photographic memory or genius level intellect?

SPEAKER_05

No, just photographic memory. Because that's kind of that's genius level already.

SPEAKER_07

Is it though?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, you're reading you're reading a met uh a medical book or a pick. Oh, you mean like of anything, just basically. Yes, just photographic memory. That would be my wish.

SPEAKER_09

It's a good wish. That's a really good wish, actually. Um clap for me.

SPEAKER_05

Oh she restarted the system, bro.

SPEAKER_09

No, it's okay. I guess you had a video. No, no, no, no. You'll go give me your claps right now. Hold on, where's the fucking claps at?

SPEAKER_05

But you guys had a good one. I like that.

SPEAKER_09

There you go.

SPEAKER_05

I like that. So you'd be a vampire.

SPEAKER_09

There's your roses, all right? There's your clap.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_09

It's like longated. All right, cool. Yeah, no, I that's not a bad one. Um, yeah, yeah. So, I mean, do you would you stick with that though? If it really was in front of you, that's what you would do? Photograph what you're doing.

SPEAKER_05

That's my that's my MO. That's my not my MO, but that would be my ticket to start making a lot of money. True. I would have and just yeah. That would be my ticket. Because I don't mind working for it and I don't mind expanding my knowledge and like learning like with the super speed. Like, that's I'm cool with that.

SPEAKER_09

I think the reason why I would want the wealth now is just so I can enjoy my kids growing up.

SPEAKER_05

No, I get that, but I don't have kids, I ain't got nobody.

SPEAKER_09

That's true. So you got different knowledge. Damn.

SPEAKER_05

I got different priorities and that's true.

SPEAKER_09

No, for sure. Damn, girl, I hear you though. You're not wrong. But uh, it's like, you know, that's why that's why I think we all have good reasons for what we would do. And I do like how furious I like yours makes sense. That's a brilliant reason why you chose yours. And then you, I like how you didn't say immortality. Because that's good that you didn't put that, because that would suck, bro. You know what I'm saying? Like, I'm not saying it would suck, it would suck not to die, but in a way it kind of would. That is true, but then you're gonna watch them die, and then it'll just be a never-ending cycle, and that doesn't sound fun to me. Wrap-Up And Next Week Promise

SPEAKER_09

SPEAKER_04

Exactly. He's he's tired. No, I just I get it. When you're running low on sleep, but but yeah, but I still came through. Yeah, he did. You did, dog.

SPEAKER_09

You survived, and my boy made it through the movie too.

SPEAKER_04

He did.

SPEAKER_09
