Speaker 1

Welcome to the Hope Unlocked podcast . I'm Kristen Kurtz , your host . I pray this episode is like a holy IV of hope for your soul . Please help me welcome my sweet friend , tammy Weeks , to the show . I am so excited for her to share today . We literally recently connected through the Facebook , which I've said before . Sometimes people don't like social media , but there are so many good things happening within , so many connections being made . I'm just excited for her to share her story , what she's doing . As some of you may know , this season is season two . I'm interviewing those who are a launching pioneer . She's a pioneer that's launching out and has launched out . I really want to highlight women who are really doing different things and bringing his kingdom here to the world . Her ministry has hoping it too . When I heard that , I was like oh , let's talk . Would you be open to sharing more about yourself , and then we'll get into it .

Speaker 2

Amen , kristen . Yes , it's such an honor to be here as an additional voice of hope . I'm so thankful for the voice of hope that you have . The message of hope is so needed . Life is not always easy . It has its challenges . Things come our way that are unexpected . Sometimes there are delays that feel like denials , there are disappointments along the way , and keeping hope alive I think it's something that seems like what you do best and so I just love that .

Speaker 2

I did recently start a nonprofit called Elevate Hope . It's elevate-hopeorg Just brand new baby birthed it , but really based on a prophetic word from the Lord I had from several people who did not know me over several different times just confirming to bring hope to those less fortunate . So I know I work in an area where there's a lot of poverty . I work in an inner city school as a school counselor and it's been a God assignment there for the last four years because I've had my eyes open to poverty here in America . I've been on the mission field and seen it in other nations . But seeing the poverty here in America and the families and what poverty and what sin and what cycles six cycles and sad cycles have done to families , the brokenness is really . I think God's even used to prepare my heart so that I would have the right heart to lead an organization that's really going to help schools and communities and bring some this minister , to those groups and people groups and those less fortunate . So I'm excited about what God's going to do through elevate-hope .

Speaker 2

It was interesting because as soon as I really said yes and I filed and I have really , I think I have a testimony , kristen , a lot like you , you said God has just shown you how to do things that you did not know how to do I literally filed . I had no idea , no help , no , really , I was like , okay , god , I finally sat down , I had it all done in less than three hours and I was approved in seven days . It was exactly seven days January the fifth . I filed , january the 12th . The letter was dated that I was accepted and I heard it could be 90 days or could be rejected and have to refile a more expensive form . To me it was just like , okay , god , that's incredible , I'm in shock . And so I say all that to give hope to other women , and I'm not saying say all that to give hope to other women as you move forward , even not knowing why . Not knowing that , I mean when God , just there's just a lot .

Speaker 2

You're really going on a word . Sometimes you get that word from the word . Sometimes you get that word dropping your spirit and time of prayer . Sometimes you get that word from somebody else . God even uses prophecy into plant dreams and vision , I think , if he needs to . But and sometimes we get words for dreams and visions ourselves , but going on the word , and I would just say in the season , like you just said , where pioneers it's just really one stepping stone at a time and then it's just and you look back and see this how you ended up on a unique path , in a unique position . You talked about , when you and I were talking before this , where you're out of the box , where God has had his own unique way with you , like the unique vessel that's been on that potter's wheel , because you said , yes , just maybe little things , unique things , different things , but you talked about breaking off that , breaking out of the box and just being .

Speaker 2

I think sometimes you know God's trying to get an independent spirit out of us , but in a way he's wanting us to be independent in him . Does that make sense to where we're not owned by anyone . We're part of something great , but we're not man pleasers , we're not people , but we're not , we're not , we're not . There are no strengths attached to the opinions of man , so to speak , and he is free to mold us and make us and shape us . And that's fearful .

Speaker 2

Sometimes , that can be scary , because you know dancing to the rhythm of people around you . There's a little bit of comfort in that . You know what to do , you know what to expect , you know there's a exchange there . But when we break out and say , okay , no , I'm going to be his instrument alone , I don't need the applause of man , I'm going to . You know , not number followers , I'm not going to , I'm just going to be willing to do it differently , to look different , to sound different , to be even odd or peculiar , unique , then we can actually be formed into who he created us to be and that becomes free , like you talked about . You know that heart can be free , we can be free , you know , and that's anyway . That's a little rant there . But , kristen , you're amazing . I love everything that you're doing .

Speaker 1

Well , I love everything you're doing and I don't even know you that well yet I love how you said . You know it's an inner inner , like for me , it's like an inner dependent , like it's inner dependent on you know that vertical relationship with him , but to you know , still be among other people , connect with other people , because that's what the body is all about . We need each other and what I'm seeing a lot of , especially the last few years , there is , there is a reason to be hidden for a season .

Speaker 1

You know Elijah was in hidden places for a season I often think of . You know , like the butterfly was kind of the I guess you could say the little animal that was the new wings coaching . Like I think of the cocoon , and when we go through that massive transformation process , maybe you could speak to that a little bit . But you know the cocoon , it houses the caterpillar that was ground , it was a ground dweller like it , it was kind of ugly and you know it slithered along and then it was brought into this cocoon and it was woven and it's this hard shell , it's protective , and the whole thing becomes liquefied . Can you imagine how crazy and painful that would be ?

Speaker 1

I don't know about you , but I've walked through those liquefying seasons and then to come out in the right timing to be able to fly and to soar and to be light , you know , and to be in the air and all the things . So could you speak to maybe a season in your life where you went through that process ? Because I truly believe that anybody who is in this position has probably gone through that breaking , like you said , has gone through , you know , reformation , a transformation , all the things . So what does that look like for you ? Because another , you know . Another aspect of this podcast is voices of hope from the valley . Many of us have walked through the fire and we're coming out with keys to help bring breakthrough to other women who maybe are in a season of that , you know , either going into breaking , coming out into breakthrough . What does that look like for you ?

Speaker 2

I would say that I'm in another cycle of that right now . About four years ago God took me through that . I actually wrote a devotional . It's called Back to the Garden and it's on Amazon Back to the Garden and it's five financials by TS Weeks and God really gave me the analogy of walking with him , like he was just taking . He took me as this battered by life warrior woman , so to speak , and I say warrior because you know survivor , you know battle-worn , and took me in the process of going back to the garden and the devotional it really chronicled that of 360 days of just being still and receiving and being made whole .

Speaker 2

A restoration comes through the rest , like when we talked about earlier learning to rest , a lot of women in society and whole , you know , they just don't . Rest is not glorified I should say it's not really but just striving and just a lot of unhealthy patterns . I had gone through it . So I just developed unhealthy patterns and it was a beautiful really , a washing of my feet with his love and the whole devotion is just a love devotion and that's how we really made whole . You know , the Bible says he quiets us with his love , he satisfies us with his love , he quiets our soul , heals us , so it was a really deeper revelation of his love . That's what . And so now I'm in another cycle where I believe that I'm being like that . You know , you talked about the well being pulled back like that . The arrow has to be pulled back . I heard somebody say that the day pulled back before it's released and that pulling back can be unpleasant .

Speaker 2

Sometimes you talked about that caterpillar . I've imagined a pitcher in just liquid , where we become nothing so he can become everything . We decrease so he can increase , and it's just a place really where he took me . So to take away the shame , you know , to take away guilt and shame , just allowing him to speak truth daily and journaling , so healing . It is so healing to where I am just receiving from him and writing down what he speaks to my heart . So I guess , being a butterfly , such a great analogy . I love that , going from the caterpillar who was crawling , you know , didn't even realize really , probably because you know the great thing about God is the caterpillar cannot change itself into a butterfly , there's no way . It's really just that lump of clay . I keep going back to the potter's wheel . You know , I cannot do anything in and of myself , the only thing that I can do , that I can do to myself is to stay in his hands , to stay close to his heart , to behold his beauty .

Speaker 2

And as we behold his beauty , the beauty of Jesus , we are changed and it doesn't even make sense . But the work I had to do was being still the work that I had to do to receive the wholeness and to receive the whole thing , continue to walk in wholeness because life is life . Right , to continue to pursue wholeness is to pursue stillness , to pursue rest and a quiet soul . So I hope I touched on that , like you want to be too , kristen . Do you want me to touch on that ? I hope I did .

Speaker 1

Yeah .

Speaker 1

I mean it's really like one of the things that you know I'm thinking that somebody might be going . Well , how do you be still ? How do you rest ? Because I went through it myself in 2017 . I heard my spirit , like I heard his still small voice for the first time . I heard be still and know that I am God and you are not , and I was like ooh dang . So for me it was a . It was quite a process of learning to be still , kind of like what we talked about before we got started here .

Speaker 1

So what did that look like for you ? Like how I ?

Speaker 2

love that I'm going to be practical .

Speaker 2

I'm going to tell you exactly how God , god and I did this dance , because I call it a dance , love dance

Intimacy and Connection With God

Speaker 2

. I would wake up early in the morning and I would just um a sat in a recliner in my bedroom and I was such nice and I could hear birds outside and I just , the Lord took me and uses our imagination as such a gift . It's a gift to you . He's given us a connect with him and he just took me literally to a garden and he and I . Every morning he would , he would meet me in that garden and he just started speaking to me . I was just quiet , I wouldn't say anything , I wasn't praying , I was just listening to me and he just started speaking and I started writing . Even he even used a carry job song , called back to the garden . I didn't know she had that and when I first heard it I was blown away because , um , it sounded the birds , the beginning of her song , exactly like the birds , and that's the title it gave me for the devotional back to the garden . I mean , just but literally , it was the same birds that I would hear , and just to learn the stillness he would just take me , he would allow myself to just receive . You know , receive , receive , receive and just be . And then I would just start , I just would start writing . I would even get on the floor and sometimes weep and spend a lot of time on the floor and just letting him love on me , being still on my bedroom floor and just , and he would wrap his arm around me , he would speak truth to me , um , about me . That would set me free and have me weeping with such love , but it would bring me such freedom at the same time . But it was over one month and it happened , I think during the shutdown it began and locked down , um , it really um , and I'm so thankful for that . But it was just me finally , um , getting still , and I'm just so thankful for that .

Speaker 2

And literally I never , I won't forget but going to um , a sin church , a sin church in Georgia , and I visited , uh , maybe a year ago , a year and a half ago , and um , at the church , your Brian Gehran church , and when you went at the church , on the big screen they pulled up a picture of a , of a field , of a garden . I say garden , it's like a field , and I promise you it was amazing . It was exactly the same field that had walked him with , with Jesus , over and over and and dance with him in that field and sat by the river , though I say the river , though the water in the , you know , in that field , and it was just . I was like , oh , my goodness , it blew me away . How I , you know , just validated everything I had been experiencing with Jesus , so intimacy with the Lord . You know , I have a note card by my bed that says enjoy God daily and I just wrote on the top of it after hearing a message . I wrote make Jesus feel special today , make Jesus feel so my goals . To enjoy God every day , to make Jesus feel amazing , to make Jesus feel special . And I know that sounds like well , how does that help you personally ? But because it it gives me joy and it brings life to me and it's and it just makes me remind me not to get religious man , because religion stifles love and love and that means it stifles growth , because love keeps us growing . God's love for us , jesus , the love of Jesus loving him and loving us . So just to keep my relationship fresh , but to be broken . Now he's been .

Speaker 2

I just finished reading a book about pride , a book on humility , and it's about this , just cut me so deep

The Power of Stepping Out

Speaker 2

. I was just Santa . I'm still being mortified by all this pride in me and this flesh and these things and so , but I know that it's painful . I say painful , it's a good kind of pain because there's so much purpose . It's not the pain that we go through without purpose , it's pain , it's purpose , purposeful pain . I'm just so excited because I'm just going to be that much more fragrant for him in the future , going forward and more effective . So I don't know , that's a lot . I said a lot , I know .

Speaker 1

What is the name of that book that you just read ?

Speaker 2

I just read Humility by CJ Mahoney . Cj Mahoney , I make sure that's the right author and crime and life changing book . I'm going to read it as often I just may start it again . I was thinking today , very soon , I just finished it . Humility by CJ Mahoney . It's just incredible . Yeah , cj Mahoney , m-a-h-a-n-e-y , it's called Humility , true Greatness , cj Mahoney . But it will wreck you . It's . But if you're ready to be wrecked , I would tell people if you're ready to go , if you're ready to be wrecked and deal . It's amazing , it's incredible .

Speaker 1

I'm actually reading the Release of the Spirit by Watchman Nee right now , another one that talks about the breaking .

Speaker 2

Really , I'm writing it down right now the release of the spirit we're going to use some keys here today .

Speaker 1

Listeners , again , these are definitely books that you know , as we're , you know . I feel like I'm going through myself another process of you know , we're always in process . I sometimes yearn for like , can I just be like done , I mean , that's just . That's just me saying like honestly , like gosh this , you know , am I there , yet you know it's it's , it's the flesh , like , am I there yet ? Like when we're on a , on a vacation ?

Speaker 2

as a child like are you there yet ?

Speaker 1

Are we there yet ? Are we going to be there ? And I think , as especially since 2017 , when I finally said , he kind of showed me this vision of like my hands being open , open open to leave and open to receive . So being open to leave things behind that no longer serve me in the next season , but also , you know , to . You know , lighten the load on your hands , making room for what he wants to give and for you to receive , because I'm not sure about you , but I tend to be one who likes to give , so it's been hard to receive at times . Is that something that you ? You know I can , I know you're a helper as well , so what does that look like for you in your life ?

Speaker 2

I would say receive thing is I liked ? Yes , I like to . By nature I'm a Martha , so , yes , having to learn to be a Mary and value sitting at his feet , rethinking , relearning a mindset that really doesn't value sitting and sitting at the feet of Jesus , and that even you know . Religious and I don't mean anything negative , I'm not saying by religious , anything negative about conversation except that you know the relationship is more important than the responsibility and the duty to keep in the relationship . The main thing . I think that's what you just said . What was your question ?

Speaker 2

Again , I got distracted Because you said something I wanted to hit on and I forgot what you said . What I liked that you just said was incredible . You said that open hand is . I love that there's . You're letting go and making room at the same time and you know God has been speaking to me about stepping out of the boat and I'm telling you I know you're a little tiny bit of your story and how that you did that and , of course , not all the details that went behind that , but that's the big thing how you left corporate America and that doesn't mean that's not everybody stepping out of the boat , but letting go of things that no longer serve us . I love that . That is scary . I mean when you said that I was like almost a little and not scary . But you know what I mean ? I'm a still like a and in my spirit , you know , in my stomach a little , not big . Yeah , go ahead .

Speaker 1

I mean it's , it's a whole , it's a whole thing .

Speaker 2

Like a whole thing there .

Speaker 1

I mean I have a whole . If anybody wants to go here , I do share a very surface level I would say I'm saying quote unquote surface level of my experience of being , I say , freed and delivered from corporate . I did that episode back in October on my podcast . So if anybody wants to go listen to that , you know it's interesting because I was thinking I was actually going to do a Facebook live today about just even the word to save .

Speaker 1

We as people humans really relish in being safe and safety . So when we are called by the Lord to step out of the boat or step into something that doesn't , in the world's eye , looks safe or smart or you know what I'm saying it can be very , very challenging . And that's where what I love about the season is is the launching pioneers , is the pioneers are willing to be front runners , to be trailblazers to when he says go , there might be , you know , in the flesh , some trepidation at first , like , okay , like doesn't . You know I did accounting . Let's just say I have a very free spirited but I'm also very analytical by nature . So it's a very interesting dynamic that happens within me . So there's the first . You know you might have this initial shock and trying to map it out and try to figure it out . When I hear people say I have to figure this out , that's when we're trying to take over . But then there's this point where we have that inner dependence with the Lord and we know his voice and we are willing to go .

Speaker 1

Just like Abraham did , just like the disciples did , I , I clung to their stories when Jesus said follow me . They didn't . They just I mean , I don't know how much time it was , but when I'm reading it doesn't seem like much time . They were like okay , I'm going with you . I don't know where I'm going , but I'm going and I got excited about that . And I , I feel like this is part of why I want to share . You know your story in a deeper level , of what you're doing , because I can imagine that they're maybe with some interpretation , but on the flip side of it , you were willing to go . And on the other side of that , when I , when I hear women say yes or myself , I remember that our yes has generational implications . It's beyond us . There's a ripple effect that then turns into a tidal wave . So the the idea of saying no to him , I , I , I , I , I , I , I , I , I , I , I , I , I , I , I , I , I . I am challenged with that now .

Speaker 2

I love that , you know , and sometimes saying yes looks like a step backwards , and that's , you know , in the natural . You know , sometimes saying yes doesn't look like a step forward and that may , I think , prevent some people from saying yes or obeying , because in the mind , like you said , it doesn't make sense , because it's not . It doesn't look like promotion , it doesn't look like elevation , it doesn't look like anything grandiose . It's simply because it's just something between you and the Lord that you're walking through and trusting Him with , and it's a lonely , isn't that a lonely ? Imagine Peter , when he stepped out of the boat , that first step , how lonely that I can imagine . It's a step only he could take alone . Nobody was lifting his leg up , you know , to help him step out of that boat . You know , actually it was probably .

Speaker 2

There were some critics , naysayers , you know , fearful people there for him that probably loved him . They were just fearful for him , worried about him . What's he doing ? He's going to die , but they didn't understand . In other words , they didn't understand . But God had put in Peter's heart to do that .

Speaker 2

I really believe I don't . I think that was Peter's call . I don't think it was for everybody in the boat . Does that make sense . I think it was a call that Peter heard and answered , and it had to be such a one-on-one thing . That's what I think the closer you get to his heart , the more you can hear the scary things or the things that don't make sense , and you know it's going to be okay , Because I mean you heard him say go on , you heard him say go , you heard him say follow me , and you know him , you know his love , and so it can be even exciting . I just don't think , you know , I think Peter was so excited in that moment . I mean how awesome is this ? You know how awesome , how awesome is that ? If I don't know , I just think it's incredible .

Speaker 1

I'm so visual and I'm getting such a beautiful picture right now . I'm like you know what's interesting is part of this walk and .

Speaker 1

I would be curious to know how this has been for you . But what I've been sharing with ladies lately who I tend to be connected with , women who are out there doing kind of the crazy things , the wild ones , I just have a heart for the ones that are unfettered and are ready to go , and what I've been reminding them is , you know , we have to have people in our corner . So I'm just imagining the other disciples in the boat , like reminding Peter of the , but God said , like I am that okay , but what did God say ?

Speaker 1

Rather than the people who . There's going to be a lot of people who are going to come to you with the but what if ? What's your plan B ? What if , what if , what if , like that is . That is a major reaction to stepping out of the boat with people who have not had that revelation yet . So I was actually seeing the disciples like cheering him , and that's where we need people in our corner who remind us of the . But God said so what does that look like for you as you've been stepping out and launching this nonprofit ?

Speaker 2

Yes , well , I've gone on the word of the Lord and it's interesting because I didn't know anyone that had a nonprofit personally . And then God brought a lady to work , to volunteer at the school who had a nonprofit , and after I'd gotten these words about nonprofit but you know , we're talking about processing , or so by the time you get a word from the Lord , having to it really become , you know , birthing it , birthing it , and so he'll put people around you . So , and of course my inner circle are all like yes , yes , yes , but I but interesting though I didn't tell anybody . I don't think I really I told my friend , the lady at work , that God brought to me an older lady . I told her what God has spoken to me . Of course one of my mentors who had a word for that knew , but I never told her that I was moving forward . I really kind of kind of like Mary pondered , she pondered those things in her heart . I kind of just it

Empowering Humanity and Restoring Hope

Speaker 2

took about a couple of years of ruminating and really getting more confirmation to other people , just it was just unbelievable . And then finally , just , and then I guess after I did it , I mean I honestly didn't even know what would be accepted , so I didn't tell anybody because I thought surely I did it myself . I don't know what I'm doing , but it was the Lord . He actually gave me the mission statement and I heard , you know , after I submitted the application , that so many are rejected because the mission statement and that there are there are examples and samples online . I didn't even know that I could have looked , but God gave me the mission statement . I just so really I kept it . Even after I applied . I just , I think I told my son , I think I told maybe my father , just family , and they were all , of course , supportive , like you said , the cheering , but I knew they would be , because I know that I was careful who I told , and I think you have to be really careful . I mean , I have found that out . So , even when I was writing my book you know I've written two books you just careful who you you tell those things to , and I think it's like Joseph . I mean what happened when he told right , we see how I know it ended up . You know God , you know it ended up being an awesome you know testimony part of the story . But I think Mary was wise in pondering those things .

Speaker 2

But having life coaches and wholeness people like you you need . You come to a point in time where I did have a life coach to walk me through the book . I would not have been able to finish the devotional If I had not had a coach years ago . She was just a friend of mine , I call her coach , but that really weakly held me accountable to continue on in that journey of journaling with the Lord and listening . But so she was . But God will send you .

Speaker 2

And the lady at work who had the 501c3 , she was thrilled , of course . She only wanted you know . She wasn't jealous , she was the older , mature lady . I wasn't insecure that I would have an on profit as well . Just yes , those cheerleaders are so important and I think we're getting healthy enough . Kristen is women that were able to cheer for each other more than we used to cheer for each other in the past . I wrote a book called so Long Cinderella and it's an inner healing book for women and it talks about , and there's a chapter where it talks about step sisters versus sisters and how in the body of Christ , for a long , long time we women , because of our own woundings , have been steps of treating each other such competition , such jealousy and security , but in the things there and now he's really bringing us into sisterhood whatever you want to call it , sisters and we can really be the cheering ones in the boat , and the cheering ones and not the ha ha , when someone falls like Peter did slip down , but we're actually there to get back up .

Speaker 2

You can keep going , keep going , keep going , it's okay . It's okay . We all slip , we all fall . You know that , sisterhood .

Speaker 1

Yes , amen , like I so see that and again , we need each other . There's so many who have become isolated and it is a tactic of the enemy to isolate If it's for a reason outside of you know , him calling you to kind of come away to maybe a more hidden time . You know , which I've definitely experienced , kind of that pullback season . I called it a pullback season . A little bit of 2022 for me was , you know , like that archer that's pulling back the arrow , like you've got a pullback so that you can focus on the target . Because , again , sometimes we can have too many things that we're targeting at right and he's like , okay , girl , like we're going to pull back so you can release intentionally on target .

Speaker 2

Yeah , and I've had to fight not to isolate in the past because that's that can be easier for some people to do than others . And I had to , really , even though I would go to church not really being fine just being there and it really not , it really began to that value community again , because I was so I had been hurt in community . We all have been . Okay , it's like you hurt anywhere on your job in community . You know what I'm saying . I'm really showing up again and believing that I had something to contribute and that just coming from that place , it's just been a process of God actually speaking to me saying , hey , I want you . There's healing in the body , there's healing in my body , there's healing in community . You have to .

Speaker 2

I believe , will never this is be whole I know you love the word whole without community , without each other . So that's just how we're the body . We need each other . I need you , kristen . Everybody listening that's gonna listen . I need you . You know we need one another . I can't , I just can't grow . I don't want to grow alone . I can't grow alone , you know .

Speaker 1

Well , would you be open to sharing your mission statement with us ? I'm just sitting on the edge of my seat waiting .

Speaker 2

Oh my goodness , I have it written . It's so ironic . I was going to put it on the website and I thought I'd taken a picture of it . I put it when I was in Atlanta , when I was working on the website this weekend . Let me see if I can remember it now Because , like I said , it didn't come from me , it was just unbelievable . It was , oh goodness , I thought I'd taken a picture of it on my phone to put on the website , but I didn't . I'm trying to pull it , pull it back up and I'm fine .

Speaker 1

And if you don't remember all of it , that's okay . I don't you have like some ? What is the encapsulation that you can just draw to share with us about ?

Speaker 2

it . Yes , well , what I put on the website is really empowering humanity and restoring hope , but that's not the mission statement that I put . It's the mission statement is extensive , it's on the paperwork and the 501c3 . But it's basically it's providing empowering humanity . You know , those disadvantaged people groups and bringing them , providing resources and hope for disadvantaged people groups . You know , spiritual resources , financial , the whole gamut . It was just an educational resources and so it encompassed that .

Speaker 2

I don't remember exactly , like I said , I would probably remember it if it came from my head , but it didn't . It came from a heart , the heart and God and spirit . I need to , I need to memorize it , but and I could probably if I wasn't on the spot but basically serving those , I want to say the disadvantaged people groups , you know , by providing resources and opportunities for spiritual , economical and financial . You know , growth and development , something like that along those lines . But I have no idea how God's going to use it in the future . I do know that I have some ideas , but you know , it's just I'm excited to see , to see what he does . I'm excited .

Speaker 1

Like you have it . It's foundation , like you're at the foundation . What do you need ? Like do you need others to come alongside you ? Are there resources ? I have somebody in mind that I know is going to enjoy listening to this , but right right , but you know , if somebody is listening like , how can they potentially help ? Is this going to be a , you know , US initiative ? Is it a world initiative , Like it is , it is world .

Speaker 2

I was very honest in the application that it would include foreign as well , because my heart is also it's America , but also , you know , I wanted and I was honest and I thought that might get my application rejected but it didn't and so I just left it open to whatever I know . There's a project I've been working on personally for about 10 years , working with the School for Orphans in Kenya . It's very near and dear to my heart . That's an overseas project but again here in America , there just so much poverty , so close to all of us , so much brokenness and there's so much community revitalization as far as people , bringing hope to people , hope to single moms , you know , bringing hope to just those that have been beaten down by life and they really have no help and they have no hope other than Jesus . But people , you know Jesus through people .

Speaker 2

That's the 501c3 is not a ministry but it's , you know , and there are government grants out there . They're available . God may lead me to apply for some grants , do some projects . I don't know , but I do know that it's not a spiritual type of , but it's more of a Jesus through people type of really being a church . Does that make sense , kind of like really ministering to the needs that there are , needs that are not being met and people need Jesus . They need , they need his love , and expressed practically and so it's almost , I would say , admissions arm , but not really if you want to classify it as just outreach to yes , does that make sense , kristen ?

Speaker 1

Yeah , so if somebody is listening and they're being stirred , how could they ? Are you looking for more hands and feet to help ?

Speaker 2

Oh , yes , the website . They can reach out to me through the website if they wanted to elevate-hopeorg , and there's a way that you can leave me a message there . Reach out , tell me what you're interested , what pricked your heart , how you'd like to help , how you can help there . Of course , you can always if you're watching or listening through I'm not sure what message , but you can find me on Facebook send a message there . My email is my personal email right now . Well , actually I do have elevate-hope . It's the email's Tammy at elevate-hope . Oh , my goodness , how to act ? Anyway , I have an email . I have to get that back . I have to get that too . But you can go to the website , elevate-hopeorg , and you can reach me there . It'll come straight to that email .

Speaker 1

We'll put all the contact information in the show notes for the podcast as well , so I can definitely get ahold of you . So what are you most excited about this year in relation to elevate-hope being launched ?

Speaker 2

I am excited about the good that it's going to do . I'm just the joy that it's going to bring to hope , to lift up the lowly . I think is I'm excited about those who are going to be experience the love of Jesus , the miracles that are going to happen , people who have no hope . Financial miracles , spiritual miracles , you know , practical miracles bills being paid I know this sounds crazy , but cars being donated , the house being built for somebody , I know that sound and I'm not saying 2024 is the year for all that . But I just see orphanages being built . I see so much . There's no limit to what God , the love of God . So why would there be any limit to his love on display ?

Speaker 1

Well , I celebrate you and the fact that , similar to me with my podcast , apple had said it would take .

Speaker 1

I don't even know I think it said 30 days and it was up in less than two hours . So I know that when he's pushing through and it's like a quick delivery . So you've had a quick delivery and there's going to be so much deliverance that happens through what you're doing . I'm just so excited for you and the people that are going to come alongside you as well . I always like to you know he showed me that I do this for the one , and when I'm talking to gals who I have on here , I'm literally imagining one woman who is listening and I'm wondering do you have anything else that you would like to share with this one woman and would you be open to praying over her today ?

Speaker 2

I've got to do . Actually , this is the God thing , the scriptures as a 37 , three , and it says the children have come to birth , but there's no strength to bring them forth . So the children have come to birth . So I feel like you're that woman , that you're in your birthing . You feel like you have no strength and I believe that you have . You have dreams inside of you and I believe you've even come to that birthing moment , but you feel like you just you've tried to push through so much , you have pushed through so much and you feel like it's almost like the nurse or the doctor is going to just push one more time , come on one more time and you have it . You're like I can't , I can't , I'm tired , I'm worn out . This is taking everything , every bit of strength I have . I don't have any strength left . I can't , I can't give anymore . I cannot birth this thing . I can't produce , I can't give .

Speaker 2

And the Lord is saying to you today yes , that you can . He's saying to you . He's faithful to renew your strength . He's faithful . He says he says that you will mount up . I say of 4031 . Mount up . Those that wait on the Lord will mount up on wings like an eagle that you will run and not be weary , and walking up . And then God is restoring your strength . He's giving you when you think that you can . He's saying , yes , you can . You know , yes , you can , you can push one more time . You're going to give birth to this .

Speaker 2

Maybe you've lost hope because you've been pushing and haven't seen the crown , the baby , you haven't had the result that you wanted . And the Lord's like don't give up , don't quit , don't stop . You're right there , you're crowning moment , you're in your crowning season and God's going to give you that strength to push again , to keep going . You're going to birth that thing . It's going to come , hallelujah , it's going to .

Speaker 2

So I just ask you , father , god , right now , that moment , that woman , your daughter , receive the strength of heaven , the strength of heaven to keep going , not to stop , not to just lay there . You know when the potential is there . She's right on the brink of her promise being fulfilled . Lord , I just thank you for encouraging her , encouraging her hope , hope , hope . Everything he's put in you is going to be birthed . Everything , every dream , everything in due season . The Bible says if you faint not , so come on . You're not . We're speaking to you , christ , tonight or day . You're not feigning . You're not feigning , you're giving birth to the promise . Hallelujah , the provision's going to be there . Everything that you need , your strength . Right now . You've been encouraged and that hope is giving you strength to keep going . Amen , hallelujah .

Speaker 1

Feel the fire on that one . Jesus , I'm thirsty today too .

Speaker 2

Jesus Amen .

Speaker 1

Well , I am so thankful for , first of all , for our connection . Thank you , lord , and only he could

Gratitude for Connection and Hope

Speaker 1

orchestrate this , and I just asked for more connections for other women out there as well . I'm going to close today's podcast with our anchoring verse . It is May the God of Hope Fill you with All Joy and Peace and Believing , so that , by the power of the Holy Spirit , you may abound in hope , and that is Romans 15-13 . So thank you for being a brave voice who's setting others free , and I just can't wait to see and hear more about all he's doing through you , through Elevate Hope and everything else he's doing . Through you are a mighty , mighty warrior . So thank you again for being on with us today . I will be back with another episode next week . Thanks , lysbeck , thank you Kristen .

Speaker 2

Yes , thank you , amen , god bless you .

Speaker 1

Thank you .
