On this episode of the Sentient Savage Podcast Seth drops in with Sociologist, Skateboarder and Social Change maker Dr. Indigo Willing.
As a Vietnamese war orphan and adoptee growing up in the 70's and 80's Indigo learnt the importance of finding people with shared experiences of the world. Throughout her life she has made it her mission to create spaces for people to connect, share, learn and grow with one another.
Over her life and career Indigo has been instrumental in establishing the Adopted Vietnamese International (AVI) network, co-founding Consent is Rad, We Skate QLD, SSHRED, and the Asian Australian Films, Forum, and Network. She has also recently published a book with co-author Anthony Pappalardo titled 'Skateboarding, Power and Change'.
This episode is a beautiful exploration of what it means to be a human and the sometimes challenging and complex experiences that follow.
