They locked Paul and Silas up, beat them first, and never even bothered to investigate the charges. That kind of pressure exposes what’s really inside you, and Acts 16 doesn’t let us look away. I’m Catherine Brown, and todays episode tracks the turning points where obedience looks like a detour, faith looks like worship, and a “suddenly” changes everything.
We talk about why Paul brings Timothy along and why peacekeeping is not the same as compromise. We also slow down at the moments where the Holy Spirit flat-out says no, shutting down plans to preach in certain places. If you’ve ever felt blocked, delayed, or redirected, we dig into how discernment works and why listening matters more than momentum. From Philippi’s riverside prayer to Lydia’s open heart, we see how God uses location, timing, and community to build real spiritual growth.
Then the story gets intense: deliverance from a spirit of divination triggers backlash, arrest, and injustice driven by money. The midnight praise in prison leads to an earthquake, open doors, and loose chains, but the real breakthrough is what happens next. They stay, they save the jailer from despair, and their witness leads to the question, “What must I do to be saved?” We close with favor, boldness, and the courage to name wrong while still walking out in peace. Subscribe, share this with someone who needs hope, and leave a review with your biggest takeaway from Acts 16.
A journey through spiritual refinement, identity, healing, and growth, learning how pressure produces purpose and reveals the diamond within.

Welcome And Ministry Purpose
SPEAKER_01Those of you that don't know who I am, my name is Catherine Brown, and I am senior pastor of this great branch of Zion. Exposed like change ministries. We are exposing the enemy. Yes.
SPEAKER_00So lives can genuinely and truly be changed to the glory of God. Hallelujah. We take none of his glory on ourselves. Amen. Because we nothing good. You heard what I'm saying? Hallelujah. Amen. We are, you know, our hearts are steadfast on the Lord. Amen. And, you know, in order to make an impact, in order to be affected, it must be about him. Hallelujah. Amen. Realizing in, you know, in this level of effectiveness, like you're the student too. Hallelujah. Even though he's called you to lead a group of people, to lead a branch, lead a ministry, lead a business, lead whatever. Look, you're the student too. Hallelujah. Amen. So I count it as a privilege and an honor to be able to do this. Hallelujah. Amen and amen. I have another page. Learning to live in truth. Went from being its own page to where it originated. Hallelujah. Really originated out of this great ministry here. I know that if if I wasn't associated, if this sh if this ministry never came about, I don't believe that I would have uh done learning to live truth live in truth at all. Hallelujah. Because like in at the end of the day, we just do the norm. Learning to live in truth is not the norm because you are on an intentional basis renewing your mind. Hallelujah. So we have a few in the room now. We want to say hello to Sister Jackie, Sister Becky. Uh, we are so glad to have you in the room one more time. Thank you, thank you, thank you for being here. Amen. Greatly appreciated. If y'all do me a favor, share it. Like the post. Share the post. Amen. On your page. You never know who on your page. Might need a word on tonight. You never know. I want to encourage you to do that. Hallelujah. And even better, you can tag some paper, some people that might be busy right now. But if you tag them at night, you'll go on. Hallelujah. Amen. You never know. You never know. We got this right here time to pray. So let's go. Father, thank you so much for this day. Thank you so much for what it's been. Now, God, as we come before you, Lord, ready to get into your word, God.
Share The Stream And Pray
SPEAKER_00I just pray that you go before us, uh, remain behind us, and cover each side of us. I pray that our eyes will be open, our ear, our eyes will be open, our ears will be able to hear, and our heart is ready to receive. I pray in the name of Jesus for a word, God, that can bless us inward out. I pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ all around the world. Lord, we pray for those who are suffering in this hour, in this season of their life, God. I pray, God, that whatever your will is that it will be fulfilled, what you're trying to accomplish will be accomplished. God, we lift this up to you. Lord, I lift it up to you, God. Make it clear and make it plain. Hallelujah, that it speaks to me first and is able to overflow to the body. Lord, use me, use us to your glory. God, we bless your name as we bless your people. We turn this time over to you, that you'll have your way in it. We pray it, we ask it. In Jesus Christ's name, we do pray. Amen. Amen and hallelujah. Valita is here. Hello, and hello again. Thank you so much for being here. I certainly appreciate y'all. Um in the highest. Hallelujah. Okay, so we are going to go on forward a little bit further. We left off on yesterday. Barnabas and Paul have had a disagreement. And because of the disagreement, they thought it best that they go their separate ways. Um, we hope that that doesn't separate them in such a way. You hear what I'm saying? I think it's a devastating thing when people who have a common goal and you know they are striving for the same thing, but something gets in the middle of it, and then they never speak again. Hallelujah. That's not good. Amen. That is not a good thing, amen. And so, you know, I just would encourage that even when you fall out, you come back.
Handling Conflict Without Burning Bridges
SPEAKER_00Amen. Come back to one another and keep it together. Hallelujah. I'm getting ready to start. I'm trying to pause here just for a minute to make sure it's a couple that I know who would typically be here. Hallelujah. I'm gonna take a sip of my tea. I got some tea, y'all. Yeah, I'm used to drinking coffee, but I got tea today. Trying to do better.
SPEAKER_01I really am trying to do better. I got a mint, the mint melody.
SPEAKER_00Hallelujah. It's hot too. Alright, we gotta see. Miss Becky says, Sister Catherine, your Bible study has helped me grow in my faith to a bigger diamond. Girl, you better talk about it. Praise Jesus for bringing Valita and I together so I can grow more in my faith. Praise the Lord and hallelujah. It is such a blessing to be of an influence, to be a help in the body. Amen. To God be the glory. We give God all the glory. Hallelujah. As you continue to grow. You know, uh, it's a beautiful thing when we know we're not alone. Hallelujah. That we are growing, we can see it, we know it. Hallelujah. When we don't understand the thing, we can go to our brothers and sisters and ask them for help. It's powerful. Hallelujah. So I love it, I love it, I love it. Amen and amen. So we are in chapter 16, verse 1. I hope y'all got your Bibles and we are ready to go. Says, then came he to Derby and Lysteria, and behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jew, Jewish, says, and believed, but his father was a Greek, which all was well known, which was well reported by the brethren that were at Listeria and Iconium. He says, Him would Paul have to go forth with him, and took and circumcised
Timothy Joins Paul To Keep Peace
SPEAKER_00him because of the Jews which were in those quarters, for they knew all that his father was a Greek. Hallelujah. And so uh we pause there for a second. Let me put this on silence thing will be dinging in our ears like crazy. Alright. So when we see these verses, let me read this. Paul and Silas began to retrace the first missionary journey by re-entering Galatea. At Lysteria, Paul invited a young disciple named Timothy to join him. Paul circumcised Timothy, not because he was uh caving into the pressure from believers of the sect of the Pharisees, but rather to show respect for Jewish law and identity given the uncircumcised. It would seem to be to many Jews that he had rejected not just Mosaic law, but also Jewish ethnicity. Paul's continuing mentorship of Timothy throughout his ministry resulted in, among other things, the writing of two testament letters for his instruction. Uh, and talks about 1 Timothy and 2 Timothy. At the end of the day, what Paul here and what he's doing, he's keeping the peace. Hallelujah. Simple terms, he's keeping the peace. Hallelujah, because you know, the law was everything, and the whole lot, you know, the people, it was quite an adjustment for them to do it Jesus' way. Hallelujah. And like literally, their lives were in danger for serving Jesus. Hallelujah. And that's one thing that we should all know that, you know, sometimes God will allow us to go with the flow, so to speak. Um, in in terms of, I wouldn't say get along, get get along. What is that thing you say, that expression? Um do, I forget what it is, something about getting along. Not necessarily that, but keeping the peace. Hallelujah. Hello, Miss Carletta. God bless you. Thank you for being here. Amen. It it's more than it. Hello, Alan. Um, more than anything, as I said, it's keeping the peace. Hallelujah. And again, as the commentary said, it wasn't that he was caving. He didn't want no drama for this young man who had God had um had brought along his side. Hallelujah. Amen. I hope that that makes sense for those that are just coming into the room. We are in Acts 16, verse 4. Let's read. He said, and as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to keep that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem. And so were the churches established in the faith and increased in number daily. So they're going about planning, you know, doing the things, following the decrees, and all of those things, keeping the order, keeping the peace. Hallelujah. Verse 5, and he says, So were the churches established in the faith and increased in number daily. So we got a growing active church, okay? Verse 6, he says, now when they had gone throughout Pergia and the region of Galatea and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia, he says, After they were come to my Asia, no, my no my Shia, my Shia, they essayed to go into Oh Lord, y'all. By Thionia. By thien. Oh, by thy thyena. I pronounced it. I'm not saying it completely, but I'm close.
When The Spirit Says Not Yet
SPEAKER_00Close enough. He said, but the spirit suffered them not. Let me read verse 7. He says, Paul and his companions passed through the region of Galatea, probably visiting Iconia, uh, any car, any art, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost told them in that moment. No, no, not now. Look, they said from evangelizing Asia. They were also prevented by the Spirit. So that gives us a heady-handed. The Spirit will tell us, no, don't do that. The Spirit, this is why we are reflexible to his voice. So we can bend when he says bend. So we can move to the left, to the right when he says to move to the left or to the right. Hallelujah. The spirit will speak. Come on, somebody, write it in the comment. The spirit is speaking. The spirit will speak. Hallelujah. He said, from turning north into Bithonia. Luke did not indicate why the Spirit constrained Paul's friends or by what method. He made known the restrictions. The reader is left with questions. But see verse 9 and the note, and also see the note in chapter 15, verse 32. Hallelujah. So I'm reading the commentary along. Those who don't know it, I'm reading the King James Version. For me, that is the clearest, I guess most understandable for me. But you use whatever version you need. Hallelujah. Um, verse 9, y'all. No, verse 8. And they're passing by. Oh God, these names just like uh let's see. My shia. My shia came down to Treos. No, Treos. Troos. Troas. And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. There stood a man of Macedonia and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia and help us. So Paul is seeing a vision. And the vision, he's being instructed to go into this particular city and help them. And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavored to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them. And I can just imagine that the disciples are kind of just kind of anxious, right? Because they're going into these cities, the cities they've already
The Macedonia Vision And Next Step
SPEAKER_00been in, on top of that. But God is not allowing them to preach the word. He's not allowing them to evangelize. And I'm sure he's kind of there. When are we? When are we? You know, when you get you when you're excited, you're amped up, you know, because you got something. Hallelujah. You want to keep going, keep going. But the spirit don't allow you. Nope. Nope. And you're just like, what's going on? You know what I mean? Kind of like, what is going on? What's happening? I you know, I wanna, I wanna do this, I wanna invest. Look, these people need this. Why? And and the spirit won't let you. Hallelujah. I don't know if anybody else has ever experienced that, but I just say to you, follow the spirit. Hallelujah. Amen. There is a reason why he's telling you, no, not yet. Not right now. And so they get this opportunity to go to Macedonia. And Paul is like, let's go. We ain't thinking twice about it. Hallelujah. Let's go. Hallelujah, Miss Linda. Hello, and hello again. We are in chapter 16. And I am at verse 11. Verse 11. Chapter 16, verse 11. Hallelujah. Alright, y'all. So I hope everybody's keeping up. Chapter 16, verse 11. He says, therefore, losing, therefore, losing from Troas, we came with a straight course to y'all, these words, Lord, that versus. Y'all praise me. I'm gonna get it out though. Okay. Sam O Zamophara. Zamo Fora. And the next day, uh Neopolis. Neopolis. Neapolis. And from thence to Philippi, which in the chief city of that part of Macedonia and a colony, and we were in the city abiding certain days. Some would say, why is all of these names important? Hallelujah. You're certainly welcome, madam. Why are all these names important? Because location, proximity is important to the Lord. Amen. Amen. And you know, he don't always highlight everything as far as you know, location. But I believe that when we see a lot of locations, it's divine and it's on purpose. Hello, Miss Brenda. Hello, hello, hello. Um, verse 13, he says, on the Sabbath we went out of the city by a riverside where prayer was wont to be made. And we sat down and spake unto the women which resorted thither. Philippi apparently did not have a synagogue. Since only women are mentioned at this prayer gathering, the establishment establishment of a synagogue required at least ten Jewish men. I did not know that. Paul and his companions met with this group on the Sabbath, following the pattern of evangelization.
Prayer By The River With Lydia
SPEAKER_00He had practiced on his first mission. Hallelujah. Amen. Verse 14. She attended unto the things which was woman attention. So what was doing? She's watching them, watching all these things, right? Verse 15, and when she was baptized, in her household, she was told us saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful in the Lord, come into my house and above there, and she constrained us. Verse 16, and it came to pass as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her master. Much gained by Susan. The same followed Paul and us and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which show us the way of salvation. And this she did, she and this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the Spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour. I'm gonna pause here for a second. Now, as the disciples are moving about, it's almost like they're they it's almost as if they've become magnets because they've been there before. So these people they recognize them, they know who they are, and they become like Jesus, like like magnets to uh to the people. Hallelujah. And they're beginning to follow them around in those things. And now this woman has come, but she's possessed. Hallelujah. She's possessed by a devil, and Paul recognizes the devil, and he's going on, and like this woman is like walking behind them as
Deliverance That Triggers Backlash
SPEAKER_00if everything is cool. And Paul says, wait a minute, I can't take it no more. I cannot take it no more. He said, and it was it was bothering him so much that it was making him angry. And so he commanded the unclean spirit, the devil, to come out of her right in that moment, and it did. So verse 19, he said, and when her master saw that the hope of their gains were gone, because they were using this woman to their selfish benefit, hallelujah. They were using her strat her strategic strategies to get selfish gain. Now that they see that this woman ain't doing that no more, hallelujah, they caught her. The Bible says they caught her, Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers. Hallelujah. Now look, Paul and Silas were arrested for cutting off revenue from this girl fortune telling, not for a religious violation. So this is why they were arrested. Because of Paul and Silas commanding the spirit out, they got upset. Put them in jail. Put them in jail. Hello, Mother Brown. Hello, hello. Amen. Put them in jail. Not because they didn't really did anything wrong, but they didn't cut off our fortune. I'm telling you, the love of money. Hallelujah, Jesus. Come on, come and keep on going. He says, Verse 20, and he brought them to the magistrate, saying, These men being Jews do exceedingly trouble our city. They're coming in there and they're causing problems. Put them in jail. Look. And teach customs which are not lawful for us to receive, neither to observe, being Romans. Why? Because they weren't benefiting from the people. Hallelujah. Amen. This is why Jesus got so upset when he walked into the and walked into uh into the uh uh uh into uh where they were you know robbing, they were really robbing the people, making them pay all of these all of these uh taxes and all of these things. And he got in, he walked in there, he was angry. He was angry, like, you're not gonna turn my father's house into a den of thieves. Hallelujah. And then you turn it around and call it, this is the law. This no, you're robbing these people blind, and because they are committed to the law, they cannot see what you're doing. They feel like this is I have to do this thing. Look, we live with that in this in our day now. People are being robbed in higher places, robbed by by people in higher places, and the people that quote they kind of sit low. I'm missing it. Hallelujah. We have a voice, but we don't use it, amen. Paul and Sallas are using that voice, amen. We have the power to command evil to go back to hell where it came from. We have the authority to do that, but we don't. We submit to the law. That's what they did. Don't we do that? Hallelujah. Same things are still happening today. They call truth, truth, hate speech. Absolutely true, they do. Because they want what? Right to they call right wrong, and they call wrong right, but they expect God to be in the midst of wrong. They expect God to approve wrong. Hallelujah. And what do they say? Oh God, if it get if it's against God, let's just put God out. Come on, man. Hallelujah. That's what they tried to do to Jesus. Put him out. He is speaking, he's speaking a language we don't like. He's speaking a language that's as that's that's causing a ruckus from what the norm is. Hallelujah. Amen. Put him out so we can continue with our day. Come on, somebody. Hallelujah. This is what is happening in this moment. Y'all come on walk with me a little further. Look at verse 22. He says, and the multitude rose up together against them, and the magistrates rent off their clothes and commanded to beat them. And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailer to keep them safely, who having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison and made their feet fast to the stops. He says, and at midnight, Paul and Silas praised and prayed and sang praises unto God, and the prisoners heard them. Hallelujah. Look, in 24 it said the magistrated, the magistrates acted rushly under the influence of the mob. Paul and Silas were stripped, beaten, and thrown into jail before the charges against them were ever investigated. Hallelujah. They were just put in in prison to shut them up. Hallelujah. But how many of us know that they can throw you in prison and take the key? Hallelujah. They can cast you
Praise In Prison And Sudden Freedom
SPEAKER_00out, they can shut the door in your faith, but they can't stop your praise. Come on. Come on, somebody. Hallelujah. They cannot stop what's going on in the inside. Hallelujah. Your faith. Your faith. Amen. Hallelujah. He does not take it in vain that you trust him. Hallelujah. Amen. He sees how much you love him. Hallelujah. He sees the cost that you pay every time you say the name of Jesus. He sees that he knows all things, hallelujah. I'm a firm believer. If God is for you, he's more than the whole world against you. Come on, somebody. Come on, somebody. That's a word. Hallelujah. That's a word. All by itself. Come on. Hallelujah. Amen. My faith can never be stopped. Hallelujah. But here's the thing. They're going to try to stop it. Amen. Hallelujah. They see this. This is why it's got to be personal. Come on, somebody. Look, it can't be built on things. It can't be built on people. Amen. This is why your personal relationship matters more than anything. Hallelujah. Amen. Amen. Your personal relationship. Paul and Silas, they began to pray and sing unto God. Amen. Hallelujah. They was unjustly put in jail. And what is their response? They didn't fight. They didn't resist. They didn't scream and holler. They just began to sing praises unto the Lord. Hallelujah. And they began to talk to him about it. Come on, hallelujah. Mother Brown said you can mess with me, but you can't kill me. I belong to Jesus Christ. Hallelujah. There's a verse in the Bible say he can take your body. He cannot touch your soul. Come on. Come on. Somebody, y'all talk to me. Hallelujah. Look, verse 26, he says, suddenly. Come on now. Somebody put it in the chat. Said, suddenly. Does anybody believe that there's a suddenly coming into your life? Come on, somebody. Hallelujah. I decree and I declare there is a suddenly it coming into your life. Look, the Bible says, and suddenly there was a great earthquake. Hallelujah. The earthquake is a symbol of a shaking. Oh and somebody. Look, here's the reality. Look, when something is shaking from an earthquake, it don't stay still. Come on, somebody. Foundations are rocked and shaking. Hallelujah. He said, he says, and suddenly there was a great, hello apostles, good to see you late. No, you're right on time. Look, he said, and suddenly, somebody said, suddenly, there was a great earthquake. So that the foundations of the prison were shaken. Hallelujah. Come on, somebody. He said, and immediately. He didn't wait. He didn't wait until the morning. Hallelujah. He didn't wait till later on. He says, immediately. This is what it means. Look, when the suddenly happened, that means immediately something else is happening. It's like a chain reaction. Come on. One thing to the next. Somebody better talk to me. Hallelujah. Look, immediately all the doors were open. Not just one. Not the one that, not just the one that they were in. Hallelujah. All the doors was open and everyone's bands were loose. The shackles fell off. Hallelujah. Anything that was holding them couldn't hold them any longer. Oh my God. Oh my God. Come on, somebody. Can somebody receive that on tonight? The thing that was holding you still, I can't hold you no longer. The doors are open. The windows of heaven have flown up. Hallelujah. Suddenly. Somebody needs to receive it on tonight. I receive it in the name of Jesus. My suddenly. My suddenly. Come on, somebody. Look. Saying the keeper of the prison awakened, awakening out of his sleep. And seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. This was their opportunity to hit the door and run. Hallelujah. Look. The keeper said, Oh no, it's about to be over with. I might as well go on and go on and take my own life. Somebody said, but God. Come on, somebody. But God. Hallelujah. I love it, Daniel. That's right. Somebody needs to talk to me. Hallelujah. Look. He said. He said, but Paul cried with a loud voice. Do not do that. Do not take thyself no harm, for we are all here. We ain't gone nowhere. Hallelujah. The Lord has opened the doors. He's opened up the flood gates of heaven for us. Amen. But we're not running away from the will of God. Come on, somebody. Hallelujah. Sometimes when we flee to the safest route, we don't go toward the breakthrough. We're going away from it. Come on, somebody. Hallelujah. Paul and Silas didn't go nowhere. Amen. They knew that something divine had just happened. They knew that the Lord had just shown up on the scene of their emergency. Come on, Top. Look, I'm trying to keep my composure. Jesus. Come on. They knew that the Lord had showed up on the scene of their emergency. Are you expecting God to show up on the scene of your emergency? Hallelujah. Amen. God ain't never late. He's always on time. Amen. Problem is we ain't expecting them to show up, Jesus. I feel like shouting the Lord have mercy and running all across this floor. Do you hear what I'm saying? Hallelujah. I need y'all to talk to me. Come on, Daniel. Tell him. I need y'all to talk to me. Hallelujah, Jesus.
SPEAKER_02Trying to keep it together.
SPEAKER_00Look. Look, look, look, come on back. He said, he said. Then he called for a light. Amen. 29. Then he called for a light and sprang in and came trembling and fell down before Paul and silence. Hallelujah. Look. He heard him. Can you imagine? Oh God, it's about to be over. I'm about. Paul hollers. Don't do it. We're here. It's dark. Wait, did he just say we still here? Wait a minute. All these doors is open. They still here. Flips all the light. Oh my God. It had to be God. He falls down on his knees. Hallelujah. And he said, and he brought them out and said, sirs, what must I do to be saved? Hallelujah. He knew this ain't nothing but a God moon. Hallelujah. Because anybody else would have hit the dough, Jack. Hallelujah. The fact that you could have left, but you stayed, hallelujah. That speaks volumes, amen, to the ones that's watching you. Hallelujah. Somebody gotta know tonight, amen, that somebody is watching your reaction to the circumstances of your life right now. Somebody is watching, hallelujah, and they're watching how you're going to respond. Are you gonna respond like somebody that is trusting in the Lord? Or are you gonna respond as somebody
What Must I Do To Be Saved
SPEAKER_00that is desperate for a way out? Spirit moves all. You don't know what I'm saying. Hallelujah. Amen. Mother Brown said, But God, shake it up, shake it up, shake it up. I receive it. Hallelujah. Miss Becky, she said, suddenly. And said praise causes God to move and I like. And when God moves, everything around you begins to shake.
unknownMy God, my God.
SPEAKER_00Chains began to fall and doors fly open. Come on, somebody, yes, and yes, somebody is always watching. Do you hear what I'm saying? I'm so conscious of that. I have to catch myself all the time. Thinking to myself, wait. Uh-uh. Don't respond in your flesh. Sometimes I gotta be quiet. Walk around a minute to shake it off. Shake it off. Hallelujah. He hear me. There's a shift in the atmosphere. You better say it, Miss Linda. Hallelujah. There is a shift. It's happening. Hallelujah. I know it's happening in my living room. Is it happening at your kitchen table? Hallelujah. Is it happening while you sit on your sofa? Is it happening as you walk through your house? Hallelujah. Where is it happening for you? Hallelujah. But you ought to feel the shift. Somebody saying, I feel the shift. If you feel the shift, put it in the chat. I feel the shift. Hallelujah.
SPEAKER_02Hallelujah.
SPEAKER_00God, we humbly say thank you, God. Hallelujah. God, thank you, Jesus. Hallelujah. God, we lift our hands to you, God. We say thank you for shaking the prison cell. Hallelujah. That all the doors have flown open. Hallelujah. God, we thank you for it. Hallelujah, God. Thank you for the suddenly. Thank you, God, for the immediate lead, God. Thank you for making a way out of no way, God. Thank you for being bigger than everything. Thank you, God. God, we say thank you, Jesus. I say thank you, Lord. Hallelujah, God. Thank you, God. Thank you, God. Look, I'm trying to finish it up, y'all. Jesus. Hallelujah. Jackie feel it. Come on, somebody. Who else feel it? Alan feel it? Come on. Freedom in the atmosphere. I love it. Who else feels it? Becky feel it. Hallelujah. We feel it. Lord, we feel it. Thank you, Jesus. Hallelujah. Look at 31. He said, and they said, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Because he asked, What do I gotta do to be saved? What do I gotta do to respond like you responded? Hallelujah. What do I gotta do? Because this is this ain't real. And whatever I gotta do, I want to do it. He says, They said, believe on Lord on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, not just you and your house. He says, and they spake unto him the word of the Lord and to all that were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their straights, and he was baptized, and she said, He and all his straightway. And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house. And when it was the day, the magistrate said the surjects saying, Let those men go. Somebody say favor. Not only does God open the door, not only does he shake a foundation free. Hallelujah. Because that that foundation was way wasn't built on something solid. Come on, somebody. Hallelujah. He he shakes it free. He opens the door. Hallelujah. Then he tops it off like icing on a cake. Favor. Somebody said, favor. This is the favor
Favor, Boldness, And Public Truth
SPEAKER_00of the Lord. This prison keeper. This uh jailer, hallelujah, he's converted. He takes them out of the prison, takes them to his home, he feeds them, he takes care of their wounds. Like a good father takes care of their children. Hallelujah. Look, God used this jailer. He stepped in. Come on, somebody, somebody need to put, he stepped in. Hallelujah. He stepped into this situation. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Not only did the disciples and the apostles get a breakthrough, but this young man, he gets a breakthrough. Hallelujah. I feel the chills. Come on, somebody, hallelujah. Look, favor. I want somebody to receive that tonight. Hallelujah. Everything is going to begin, hallelujah, to just work in your favor. Hallelujah. Everything is gonna work out. Hallelujah. Even when the enemy thinks he got you. And on every side, God is going to work it out. Where somebody, he's going to use somebody to help you along the way. Amen. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Somebody gotta say, hallelujah. That's the highest praise. Hallelujah. Come on. Hallelujah. Favor. You can't buy it. Do you hear what I'm saying?
unknownJesus.
SPEAKER_00This young man, he realized in this moment that God had saved his, not just his life, but he saved his soul. Amen. Hallelujah. Amen. To God be the glory. When you realize that God has not just saved your life, but he saved your soul. It is like we become in so eternally grateful that it ain't nothing that we are unwilling to do to please God. Hallelujah. Amen. He done pulled, he done risk his job, pulled them out of prison, took care of them. Then he comes the next day and says, Let the men go. Hallelujah. Let them go. And the keeper of the prison told this saying to Paul, the magistrates have sent to let you go. Now therefore depart and go in peace. Hallelujah. Go in peace. Jesus, come on, somebody. Look, we say it in our after our service all the time. Go in peace. He said, But Paul said unto them, they have beaten us openly, uncondemned. Paul, he got a little hair on his chest. He said, wait a minute, wait a minute. They're telling us to go on like everything is all good. Everything is nice and fancy. He said, but wait a minute. They put us in this prison and he didn't even have a reason for it. Hallelujah. He says, being Romans and have cast us into the prison. And now do they thrust us out privately? They're trying to sweep it up under the rug. He says, no. He says, let's just be honest about it. He says, let them come themselves and fetch us out. Tell them to come on. Come on down here to the prison and let us out. Hallelujah. Amen. You put us in prison without a reason. Come face us like men. Hallelujah. Paul is something's happening right now. Look, somebody say boldness. Amen. Paul has got a level of boldness that he's operating in to let them know right is right and wrong is wrong. Sometimes it ain't about you being right, but it's about you uh you making sure that they understand, I know what you did. Hallelujah. Sometimes, sometimes we gotta make a statement by saying, I know what you did. And so does God. Hallelujah. Look, he says, and the surgeons told these words unto the master states, and they feared. That was the reality. They were afraid of these men. Because of what happened, they were afraid of them. He said, and when they heard that they were Romans, not just because of what happened, but because of their roots. Hallelujah. Because Paul, he he grew up with the law, he practiced the law before he became a believer in Christ. So he said, Oh my god. Oh, I've a violate, I've violated this man. And he's one of us. Oh man, what are we gonna do now? He says, and it came and besought them and brought them out and desired them to depart out of the city. And they went out of the prison and entered into the house of Lydia, and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them and departed. Hallelujah. Amen. They quietly let them go. Hallelujah. It doesn't say that Paul put it, doesn't let us know what happened when he got in their presence. But can you imagine? I'm sure it was a whole conversation. Hallelujah. Whereas Paul, I'm sure it just seems confrontational to the to the point and to the degree. It says, You owe us an apology. Because you didn't, you treated us unfairly for no reason. And the only reason that you feel bad about it is because we're from the same breed. Hallelujah. That's the only reason that ain't right. Hallelujah. Amen. We know there's a time to be quiet and there's a time to talk. There's a time. Hallelujah. And you never know at the end of the outcome, God's gonna use something that you gotta say. I I just see right now how there was there was an injustice, and he's using my brother to stand up in such a way that says, y'all are not right for what y'all and I'm just doing to me and my family, but what you're doing to people in general. Hallelujah. God is using him, amen, to stand up to people that think they're bigger than you. Hallelujah. God is gonna use you to speak to people who think they're bigger than you and everybody else. Hallelujah. Favor, baby, favor, boldness. What's your takeaway? Jesus, that was a word, right? Hallelujah. While you're getting your takeaway, amen. I'm gonna pray. Then I'm gonna come back and read any comments I didn't already read. Hallelujah. So, Father, we thank you again for your grace and your mercy. Thank you, God, for your spirit, just being in the midst of our conversation, our teaching tonight, God. Thank you, God, for just what you've done. Some of us have been set free from a momentary prison. Hallelujah. Thank you, God, for opening up the doors. Thank you, God, for the suddenly. Thank you, God, again for immediately answering

God will make a way out of nowhere. Like at the end of the day, when trouble is coming, trouble has hit your doorstep, and you know you haven't done anything outside of do the will of the Lord. Amen. That when you just continue to trust them, even in the midst of the trouble, continuing to trust them, he is going to make the way. He's gonna do what only he could do. This story lets us know that this, what happened, he could only allow it. Hallelujah. And their response was it wasn't. Let's get out of here. They knew that God was in the midst of doing something. Hallelujah. And so, you know, when we're walking through and trouble is happening in our life, we ought to know. Look, it ain't necessarily because you did anything wrong. Amen. He can just, he, look, he had to tear down. He had to tear down before he can build up. Do you hear me? Hallelujah. He had to tear it apart. He had to get it before the new building can go up. He got to get rid of the old one. Hallelujah. Amen. This look, God was, he was doing a whole lot of things in this story. He he touched a man who was just simply obeying, doing his job, fulfilling his job title. Amen. And all of a sudden, the lights have come on. Hallelujah. Wait a minute. I need this God that they got. Amen. Hallelujah. The fact that they've been thrown in prison and they're singing and they're praising God. Hallelujah. They're praying and talking to the Lord. And all of the prisoners, prisoners couldn't hear them. I'm coming to your lands. One second. They could hear it. So they so the jailer knew what they were doing. Hallelujah. Hey man, somebody is always watching us. Hallelujah. Daniel said, shine your light bright for Jesus. Even in the darkness, light will shine through his through. Okay, oh wait. Daniel's takeaway, y'all. Let me read. Let me say it again. So I say it right. Daniel's takeaway. Shine your light bright for Jesus. Even in the darkness, light will shine. Ooh. That's good. That's all I can say. I'm done. Amen. I'm full. I hope everybody else is full. Y'all come on back tomorrow. We're gonna go through 17, see how far it takes us. Same time, same place, 6:30.
