What does ‘digital’ art look like today? Is immersive art still interesting? How has technology transformed our experience of arts and culture?

Technology has always been a crucial part of how humans live, work and create. So too, the history and the future of the arts is guided by the hand of technology.

Starting with the place of digital art in the traditional cannon, we will explore what the future of the arts is. We will consider the huge potential impacts of digital and immersive art to increase wellness, inclusivity and engage communities through the combined forces of human creativity and technology.

Are we on the correct path to unlocking the potential of technology and the arts? We unpack the importance of skilful curation, openness to experimentation, and public support for arts education and programs. Featuring speakers with varied expertise, we will deliberate what is on the digital horizon and how to get there.
