This week's round-up, hosted by Nick Castillo, features student-led and Homecoming Weekend 2024 events on campus between October 14 and October 20.

Hey again, Nick Castillo here. Welcome to your weekly roundup on the Perseverantia Podcast Network at Fitchburg State University. Let's get into it.

NICK (host):
Starting off with some club meetings. The Student Nurses Association will meet on Monday, October 14th at 4pm in Thompson 214. The Writing Club will be meeting on Wednesdays at 3:30pm in the Miller Hall Oval Room. The Criminal Justice Club will be holding their general meeting on Thursday, October 17th at 5pm.
Now on to some events: The Center for Diversity and Inclusiveness will be holding a meet and greet on Tuesday, October 15th at 4pm in Hammond G04. Come by for some good music, food, and community. Alpha Sigma Tau will be holding their Run in Her Shoes event on Wednesday, October 15th at 5pm on the main quad.
The Gay Straight Alliance alongside LGBTQ Plus History Month, Leading for Change, and the Fitchburg Activities Board will be holding a Taco Tuesday on a Thursday with Drag Queen and RuPaul's Drag Race contestant Jessica Wilde. This will be Thursday, October 17th at 7pm.

And then we're in Homecoming Weekend. On Friday, October 18th there will be a pep rally on the main quad at 2pm.
[ more homecoming themed sound effects – a whistle, cheers, sports event sounds – dropping intermittently through the announcement ]
And then starting at 3pm will be the Homecoming Carnival in the Ross Lot. From 4 to 6 pm, men's soccer will be playing at Elliott Field. On Saturday, October 19th, Tailgate Civic Center lot will be at 10 am, and the homecoming football game's at 12 pm.
NICK (host):
At 5 pm, there will be a Falcon Field hockey game, and at 7 pm, the semi formal casino night begins. Moving on ahead to the game, on Sunday, October 20th, the Athletics Hall of Fame brunch starts at 10am.
