In Episode 30 of Ellected, host Sarah Elder-Chamanara talks with Ontario Liberal political candidate Katie Gibbs about a series of tweets she sent out during the June election sharing the most commonly asked question she received on the doors - "how old are you?"

Katie and Sarah talk about the questions women in politics are asked and why, along with more about Katie's experience of running, including receiving an endorsement from climate change advocate and environmentalist Catherine McKenna, and more. 

More about Katie Gibbs:
Katie Gibbs is a scientist, organizer and advocate for science and evidence-based policies. While completing her PhD at the University of Ottawa researching threats to endangered species, she was one of the lead organizers of the ‘Death of Evidence’ rally - one of the largest science rallies in Canadian history. Katie cofounded Evidence for Democracy and now serves as its Executive Director. She has a diverse background organizing and managing various social and political campaigns at the local and national level. Katie is frequently asked to comment on science policy issues and has been quoted and published in numerous media outlets, including the CBC, The Hill Times, the Globe and Mail and the National Post. Katie most recently ran for the Ontario Liberal Party in June 2022 finishing second with almost 23% of the vote.
