Episode 47 is a conversation with former councillor for the Township of Esquimalt, Dr. Jane Vermeulen.

More about Dr. Jane Vermeulen:

Dr Jane Vermeulen is a veterinarian, former Councillor for the Township of Esquimalt (2018-2022), military spouse, mother and founder of Vets for Pets- Victoria. Jane has been involved in politics for over 20 years, starting as a "door knocker" for a federal candidate. She has worked on campaigns at the municipal, provincial and federal levels. She has also been active on her local Electoral District Associations and National Policy Committee.  Jane was the primary organizer for Women's Campaign School (2015, 2016) with the Canadian Women's Voters Congress and has seen several of the graduates successfully campaign to all levels of elected government, including leading a provincial party. 

In July 2022, Jane moved to South Carolina with her family to advance her career as a veterinarian and is now the Medical Director for the South Caroline Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Care.
