Meet Ryan Dusick:

In his childhood, dreams of pitching for the Dodgers and crafting adventure novels filled Ryan Dusick's imagination. Unfortunately, arm injuries dashed his baseball aspirations just as a newfound love for rock music ignited a fresh sense of purpose. In 1994, alongside Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden, and Adam Levine, he founded the band Kara's Flowers during his UCLA years, later evolving into the globally acclaimed Maroon 5 with the release of their hit record, "Songs About Jane." Despite achieving multiple Grammy Awards, chart-topping songs, and selling 20 million albums, Ryan faced personal and career turmoil as his journey in the limelight took an unexpected turn.

Amidst physical and mental health challenges, Ryan's turning point came in 2016 when he embarked on a transformative recovery journey. This led him to a new chapter marked by meaning, purpose, and fulfillment. Today, as a mental health professional at The Missing Peace Center for Anxiety in Agoura Hills, CA, Ryan is on a mission to spread the vital message that recovery is not only possible but can also lead to remarkable transformations.

In his compelling memoir, "Harder to Breathe," Ryan Dusick takes readers on a roller-coaster journey, detailing how reaching the pinnacle of success sent him spiraling to rock bottom. Through gripping narratives, the memoir chronicles his journey of letting go of the past, embracing a new future, and rediscovering life—one breath at a time.
