Send in your music story!

A new logo, a crowded week, and a sprint from the gym set the stage for a sharp left turn: what happens when a customer snaps their fingers like you’re the help? We unpack the small humiliations of service work, the weirdness of tip culture, and the simple grace of eye contact and patience. Then we pivot to pure joy: a full review of The Dome in Virginia Beach—parking that actually works, fast entry, immersive lighting on every level, and a surprise P.O.D. set that jolts the night. Daughtry’s new metal-forward sound crushes with a laser show that keeps the mind buzzing, while Seether’s set triggers some hard truths about cohesion and rehearsal. It’s a live music night that earns a nuanced verdict: overpriced food, excellent venue, and one act leveling up while another coasts on hits.

Of course, we couldn’t resist a rabbit hole. A rogue debate about Helen Keller’s achievements spirals into questions about evidence, pedagogy, and the myths we choose to believe. It’s messy, brash, and oddly revealing about how internet skepticism shapes our sense of the possible. That tension feeds back into our core theme: the social contract—how we treat workers, how we navigate crowded spaces, and how we argue in good faith.

We close by firing up the music bracket. Shakira advances with charisma. James Hetfield carries the flag for rock. Sabrina Carpenter makes the cut. Then the heavyweight bout: Alicia Keys vs Kelly Clarkson. Range, covers, and sheer versatility push Kelly through, setting up a finale that pits pop power against rock legacy. We’re saving the ultimate decision for the live crowd, but we want your vote too.

If you’re into concert reviews, backstage logistics, customer etiquette, and unfiltered debates that somehow land in laughter, you’ll feel right at home. Hit follow, share this with a music-loving friend, and tell us: who should win it all—Kelly Clarkson or James Hetfield?

SPEAKER_00

It's covered up by recording on my screen. Ah, that's a shame. I see the best part. I see the best part. It says bridge.

SPEAKER_05

Chris is my guy. It screams like professionalism. I like it. It looks like uh like you would go into like a business, you know?

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I'm a fan. It's cute.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. Um's it. Welcome to the show, everybody.

SPEAKER_09

Welcome.

SPEAKER_05

It's a big week for us. Number one, Taylor Swift's new album came out.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, that's the only news I brought today. Today, it's crazy. Have you guys listened to it?

SPEAKER_00

No.

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_00

Not a single. I never will.

SPEAKER_08

You thought Sabrina Carpenter was crazy.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, really? That that okay.

Taylor Swift Album Reactions

SPEAKER_09

Oh, it's it's a little raunchy.

SPEAKER_05

Interesting.

SPEAKER_09

And I love that for her. I do.

SPEAKER_05

Um now I gotta see the movie. Uh number two. We went and saw me and Lindsay. She's not in here right now. Went and saw Cether and Dotry. We're gonna talk about that in its entirety. Um, what else is there's there's all sorts of stuff going on this show?

SPEAKER_09

I like your new Caether hat.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I got that at the show.

SPEAKER_09

Pretty sick.

SPEAKER_05

Uh, it's got camo on the brim. Okay, yeah.

SPEAKER_09

White trash.

Seether And Daughtry Concert Tease

SPEAKER_05

I was gonna say it's the worst part of the hat.

SPEAKER_09

I literally landed Caether, so it's already white trash. Do you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_05

Dude, I and and when I was buying it, like I couldn't tell that it was camo on the top until they handed it to me.

SPEAKER_09

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

And I was like, I kind of hate that.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, yeah. No, it's it's fun.

SPEAKER_05

I grew up wearing a lot of camo. I was a big hunter, so anything in my adulthood that reminds me of having to go out in the woods, I hate it.

SPEAKER_09

No, that's fair. We were also just kind of white trash.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Oh, yeah. I mean being poor. You know, you have a lot of camouflage jackets. That's what you're wearing. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Well, high from society. Camo is like one of those, like, if you got some camo pants, they go with everything.

SPEAKER_09

So yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Um, but anyways, Taylor, you said you had a bone to pick with me.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Tell me, tell me.

SPEAKER_09

So okay. I went to the gym today. First of all, I made a new friend. If anyone cares, this is big news. No, so it's somebody that I work with. That would be so funny. Her name is Deborah.

SPEAKER_05

Did she go to the gym?

SPEAKER_09

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

She went to your gym.

Gym Rush And Show Time Crunch

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, so she goes to my gym and it's right by where we were.

SPEAKER_05

What's Jim's last name? Albert.

SPEAKER_09

Um, I think Sporta. I think it's Jim Sporta.

SPEAKER_05

Jim Sporta.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah. Um, sorry, my thing is on an unsteady table, so it's shaking. Anywho, so we went to the gym's on an unsteady table? Yeah. And when we went, I was like, okay, I have to be out of here by 6 30. And we didn't get there until like 5 20, 5 30. And she's like, okay, we're gonna try the gym. She was like, okay, we're gonna try to get out. And I said, okay, that's fine. And I was like, we can push it to 6 40. I live 10 minutes from the gym.

SPEAKER_05

I can I pause you for a second.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

I just wanna I just want to recap this story for the listeners. So you and your friend, not named Jim, not named, named named Deborah, Barbara, Susan.

SPEAKER_09

Deborah.

SPEAKER_05

There we go. I had a 50-50 shot. So you and Jimbra go to your workout gym together at 5:30 p.m. or a.m.

SPEAKER_09

What do you think? I'm gonna let you use context clues.

SPEAKER_05

Okay. Um, so you and Jimbra go to the gym. Yeah, and this is gym sportsra, right?

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

And this is prior to or after your position as a uh customer service representative at a local coffee shop. Don't even get me started where you hand out coffees.

SPEAKER_09

Don't even get me started. So it's um it was after. It was after, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_09

So so we went um at 5 30, and I was like, I had to be out by 6 30 so I could make it here on time, right? Like I was this is today.

SPEAKER_05

This is this is in real time. Okay. Not yesterday for everybody listening. This is this is happening right now. You're listening, you're listening on Monday, so it's actually technically Friday that this happened. So it is in the past, yeah. But just so you, the listener, are aware that Taylor and Jimbra went to the gym after Starbra to go and get a workout in at 5:30 and had to be home by 6:30 to be here on the show because we have a show at Friday at 7. Because we have a show at 7. We are all caught up. Taylor, please tell me this story. I am so ready to hear.

SPEAKER_09

Okay, you're gonna cause me to crash out. I love you so much. I'm gonna crash out. Um, yeah, so I was like, we can push it to 640. We had one more set. I was like, we can push it. I just need to be gone by 640. And she was like, absolutely, we'll make that happen. I'm rushing to get home. I'm beeping my horn, rushing to get home. Yeah, I beeped my horn to be here. I got here at 65. I said, beautiful. Dylan had already set everything up. I texted him, I said, I need you to get my computer, I need you to set everything up, my microphone, I need it all done by the time I get there. He said, say less. We'll get it done. Because I got kicked out because he's got a new game he's gotta go play.

SPEAKER_05

Ooh, what game?

SPEAKER_09

It's like Call of Duty.

SPEAKER_05

All Black Ops 7?

SPEAKER_09

Probably, I don't know. It's it's it's ruining my life. Anywho, so he has this game that he gotta go play. That's why I'm out here for everyone.

SPEAKER_05

Wait, is it Call of Duty or Borderlands?

SPEAKER_09

I don't know. I think it's Call of Duty. I can ask though.

SPEAKER_05

Um, anywho is it Earthworm Gym?

SPEAKER_09

We didn't start this show until 7-10.

SPEAKER_05

Uh yeah, I guess I guess. I guess it was 7-10. Yeah. Is this the bone to pick with me?

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, the one time that I'm like, this show is so important to me. I need to make sure that I show up and there's no excuses. I'm gonna get here. What are you? Anyhow.

SPEAKER_05

Um, you want to know what I was doing in the other room?

SPEAKER_09

Playing with your baby.

SPEAKER_05

I was anything else. I was feeding my family because I'm I'm a good person.

SPEAKER_09

You're the breadwinner.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. And the bread maker. Um and the breadmaker.

SPEAKER_09

And the bread maker. Can I also? I'm so sorry. I know we're gonna talk about it.

SPEAKER_05

Papa Jay actually made this bread.

SPEAKER_09

That's really funny.

SPEAKER_05

You get little Cedars.

SPEAKER_09

I know we're gonna talk about your Caesar concert, but uh, can I tell you guys what happened to me yesterday at my place of employment where I do customer service for people who like coffee?

SPEAKER_05

I would love to hear about the experience that you've had at your local coffee uh I need you to understand acquisition center.

SPEAKER_09

I could have gotten fired. Like to like yesterday, I was like, I could get fired. Picture me, back turned.

SPEAKER_05

So like I'm on the same page.

Customer Service Meltdowns

SPEAKER_09

Back is turned, I'm pouring something. I am visibly busy pouring something into a cup. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Uh yes, Chris. Yes, what you're pouring?

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, yeah, sure.

SPEAKER_00

Is it coffee?

SPEAKER_09

So you're actually wrong. Great question.

SPEAKER_05

Oh fuck, you you were so close, man. You had a shot.

SPEAKER_09

I was making whipped cream. So I was pouring all the th all the contents to make whipped cream into whipped cream.

SPEAKER_05

How do you how does one make whipped cream? Do you just pour cream in a thing and whip it? Whip it cream.

SPEAKER_09

Um so is this an actual question? Do you actually want me to tell you how we make whipped cream?

SPEAKER_05

Well, yeah, but I also want to make Evo references the whole time.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, yeah. Um, no, so it's we do five punts of vanilla and then we put heavy whipping cream into like a like a metal container, like a like a whipped cream container.

SPEAKER_10

And then we whip it into shape, yeah.

SPEAKER_09

Whip it into shape, and then we charge it. Shape it up with you charge it with with yeah, with the are these trade secrets you're giving away?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I think that's how everyone makes whipped cream corporate espionage, ancient Chinese secret, huh?

SPEAKER_09

So I literally was what is that from?

SPEAKER_05

Uh I know it from Wayne's World, but I think it was a commercial back in the day.

SPEAKER_09

Oh, no, no, you're so right. It's Wayne Wayne's World.

SPEAKER_05

So so more questions on whipped cream. Sorry.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, um, no, you're okay.

SPEAKER_05

So the the thing that you charge it with, um, is that also the same refrigerant that they use in your car?

SPEAKER_09

That goes to my car, yeah, yeah. That's how whenever you talked about charging my car, I was like, oh, I know what that means because we do that at my place of employment.

SPEAKER_05

Chris, Chris, do you think it's R410 or R32?

SPEAKER_00

I don't I don't know. I don't know refrigerant. I know R22 and stuff is pressing.

SPEAKER_09

R22 is precious right now. As I was in the middle of pouring something, this guy, I had seen him and his daughter walking up like they had just gone to the counter, and he went, was it was it Jim?

SPEAKER_00

Was it Jim again?

SPEAKER_09

It was probably Jim.

SPEAKER_00

Earthworm.

SPEAKER_05

Earthworm Jim gets you every time.

SPEAKER_09

Literally, he went, Hello.

SPEAKER_05

So wait, so so for the audio people, so Taylor snapping her fingers. So you mean to tell me an adult male snapped his fingers at you as if you were like the help?

SPEAKER_09

Serving him, yes, snapped his fingers at me and then discussed 2025, the year of our life. 2025. So then I turned around, I said, Yeah, what do you need? I need a hot coffee. Yeah, sure, bud. Check him out. And then he his daughter wanted him to leave a tip. I had turned back around to drop everything and get his coffee. So I'm getting his coffee. And his daughter said something about leaving a tip, and he was like, Do you know how long we were standing here? I'm not leaving a tip. So I turned around, I hand him his coffee, and I said, I am so sorry that you think 20 seconds is a long time. I will try better next time. Have a good day.

SPEAKER_00

And then you pulled out your sawed-off double barrel shotgun and you blew off his fingers. You could have literally fired for that.

SPEAKER_05

Dude, I the things that I would have done.

SPEAKER_09

Truly, I wanted to drop everything. I wanted to just turn around and drop everything in my hand and say, Yes, absolutely. How can I serve you? Please.

SPEAKER_05

I would have I would have stopped what I was doing and then went over to him and been like, Hey, how can I help you? And then as he spoke, I'd go, right in face. Is that annoying?

SPEAKER_09

Oh, it sent me over the edge.

SPEAKER_05

I would have called him oh never mind. I almost said something crazy, guys.

SPEAKER_09

Truly, if I if I didn't need the job, that would have I didn't realize how enraging that is.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_09

Oh, it was awful. I was worse than that. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

When you're when your significant other is talking and they're talking about something you you don't want to talk about, and you just boop them on the nose and you go, bad dog. Bad dog. Ask my wife. No. No.

SPEAKER_09

Curses 101 on how to get a divorce.

SPEAKER_05

I've been trying. It's not um you should have looked at him and been like, yo, they outlawed slavery a long time ago. I know you're holding on to that big old flag.

SPEAKER_09

It was wild. And then I had another lady come in and she ordered, first of all, I said, Hey, how like how are you doing? How's it going today? I need all right, sure. Yeah, don't mind the small talk. Never mind. All right. And I was inside, I wasn't at the drive-thru. So I get her order and it was kind of a big order. I said, Hey, can I go ahead and read this back to you? Read it all back. I said, Is everything like did everything come out correct? Ignored me on her phone, fully ignored me. And then took her card and started smacking the card reader. And I said, Oh, I'm so sorry. Let me let me get the photo.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, dude. I could not deal with what you deal with. Nope. You know, we're on we're on a PSA kick um as of last week. Let me give my PSA.

SPEAKER_08

PSA, please.

SPEAKER_05

If you drive to any establishment to get any sort of service-oriented anything, this includes McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, Starbucks, Duncan. I don't care where you're going. Nothing in your life can possibly be that bad or that important that you can't let these people do their fucking jobs, man.

PSA: Be Decent At The Counter

SPEAKER_09

Like, and also, like, I I get it. People are busy, the world is awful, whatever. Flash a smile. Like, you don't have to be on your phone when I'm giving you your things and I'm trying to have a human connection. Put your phone down.

SPEAKER_05

Nah, that's that's that's too much to ask. I'm not even asking that. Don't be just aggressive. Yeah.

SPEAKER_09

Like, why and I want to say there are so many nice people that come through the drive-thru. There are. Like, and and there's so many nice people that come in. So I hate like having those handful of bad experiences, but it's not even like they're just a little irritating. It's like, why are you acting like that? You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_05

Slapping your heart on a card reader when you know how a tap works, like literally, like fully, like, like she was mad that I didn't have it ready, like slapping it just to let me know. Oh, dude. No, I would I would be catching assault charges left and right. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_09

It was wild. I was like, well, and then every time I did it, I was like, I need this job, I need this job, I need this job. And then I continue doing what I was doing.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, crazy.

SPEAKER_00

Anywho, how has your week been, sir? It's been busy. It's been busy. It has been busy. This is the first time since oh god. It's been a couple days. I haven't seen my family. Like I woke my wife up night before last when I got home and was like, Hey, I got your food. You want to eat?

SPEAKER_09

They've been working you to the bone, dude.

SPEAKER_00

Oh no, I volunteered, so it's Oh what? Yeah, I volunteered for extra work.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, yeah, it's a whole thing we've got going on right now.

SPEAKER_09

Did you get paid for this extra work, right?

SPEAKER_05

Oh, yes, oh yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_09

Oh, okay, okay, okay, okay.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. For those who don't know, Chris is a prostitute.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah. And so he's volunteering his body.

SPEAKER_05

I work so hard.

SPEAKER_09

Stop at work.

SPEAKER_05

Well, for like 10 or 12 seconds and then it softens up.

SPEAKER_09

Not not 20 seconds, because that's too long.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. And five minutes of peddling. That's the best part.

The Dome Venue Review

SPEAKER_05

Um I went and saw this concert, guys. It was first off, it was incredible. The the dome was the venue. It's a brand new venue in Virginia Beach. It's it's an older venue that they remodeled and redid. Um, but the dome might be the best place to see a concert in Virginia. Like I really as of right now, it is my favorite place to see a concert in Virginia.

SPEAKER_09

Chris, is that a it's a what? I'm calling the police. I said, is that a weed?

SPEAKER_00

Oh no, that's V.

SPEAKER_09

Calling the Police.

SPEAKER_00

It's menthol, five percent.

SPEAKER_09

Chris doesn't get the joke.

SPEAKER_00

No, he wasn't a vine kid, buddy.

SPEAKER_09

He wasn't a vine kid. Oh, never mind. Sorry, continue.

SPEAKER_05

Um, yeah, he wasn't uh he wasn't that kind of guy.

SPEAKER_00

I sure hope it does. Um continue. So you saw the blue man group, the dome, the thunderdome.

SPEAKER_05

So the dome in Virginia Beach. So they remodeled this place. First off, it's attached to a parking garage. Um so you literally park and you're at the venue, which is huge for anybody that has ever been to Virginia or Virginia Beach. Knowing that you're beside where you parked is huge in Virginia Beach. Yeah. So we go into the parking garage. Parking was only$20. So it's it's also reasonably priced. Wow.

SPEAKER_08

For the whole end.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. They had um they had staffers, uh, flagged staffers in the parking garage to let you know that that area was completely full, so that you didn't have to waste your time going through and looking. They would just wave you on to the next level. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Okay.

SPEAKER_05

That's then we we get parked, we go downstairs, and there's a lady that's telling people where the concert is. Because once you get downstairs in the parking garage, you're like, Oh, I don't know which way the dome was, and then they're like, It's right there. Go that way.

SPEAKER_07

Wow. Dummy is in front of your face.

SPEAKER_05

So you you do that, right? You get in, you go down, you go into the dome. Uh, getting through is quick. They were very, very quick to get us through. As soon as we get in there, a giant bar, like directly as soon as you walk in, staffed with four or five people. So people are getting all their stuff quick. The drinks and food, horribly overpriced. I will say that.

SPEAKER_09

Checks out.

SPEAKER_05

Um, we got because we hadn't eaten, so we got uh two pizzas, two personal sized pizzas, one cheese, one pepperoni, one for me, one for her. And Lindsay got a white claw, and I got a non-alcoholic coke.

SPEAKER_09

So are you pregnant?

SPEAKER_05

Yes, both of you.

SPEAKER_09

Congratulations.

SPEAKER_05

Um so all of that came to$80. Oh, Lee Moly. Next time stop at McDonald's.

SPEAKER_07

So that's wild.

SPEAKER_05

The food and drinks were very overpriced. You you get that at venues, anyways, but even with that mindset, I thought it was overpriced. So just be aware, like that's my only gripe. But the venue is beautiful, it's it's an incredible place to see a show. Um, you walk inside, you go down like seven stairs, and then you're inside of the dome, and it is standing room only. Um, there were some seating in the back, but I don't know if those were like personal seats or what was going on back there. And then there's balconies. There's two balconies. So the dome is three levels. You could go to all three levels. Um, there are bars and bathrooms on every level. We only went to the first floor. Um, and then we were in the the pit basically. So it was standing standing room only. So you as soon as you got there, you could get as close as you wanted. So yeah. So for a hundred dollars is how much the tickets were. A hundred dollars.

SPEAKER_10

That's it.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, it was it, dude. The venue was priced great, the tickets were priced great, the food was outrageous. Um, they had a very nice merch area. Uh, the they don't control the price of the merch, but the merch was always overpriced. Like this hat was$35.

SPEAKER_00

Um, it's actually not bad. Not bad for a hat, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

For the for like the quality of hat that it is, it's really not that bad. Um and then the venue itself, like they have these these incredible lights across like both sides. So you're like you're staring at the stage to the left and to the right. There are just these beams of lights that change colors depending on what the artist, uh like their color scheme for the the stage is.

SPEAKER_10

Wow.

SPEAKER_05

Um and then Daughtry had like his own like laser light show that he put on during his set. Yeah. Uh all of that being said, POD was a surprise guest, so that was pretty incredible.

SPEAKER_07

I don't know what that is.

SPEAKER_05

Uh, you wouldn't know them. I'm sure Chris, I think you know, right? POD.

SPEAKER_00

It's it's another one of those things where if I heard a song, I'd be like, duh.

SPEAKER_05

Um Youth of the Nation was like their big song. Yeah. And then um the song Boom was another one. Uh Taylor, you would know that song.

SPEAKER_07

Sound to my heart, the cheek goes on. No, nope.

SPEAKER_05

No, this is yes. Boom. Here comes the boom. Here comes the yeah. Uh let me guess. Boom. Yes.

SPEAKER_09

Actually, it's quiet time.

SPEAKER_05

So the they were on. That was a surprise guess that I didn't know was going to be there. That was incredible. Super excited about that. Dotry comes out, plays all of his new stuff that I was unaware of. Um, he's a metal artist now, so he put on an incredible show with all of his new stuff. He played all of his old stuff as well towards the end. Uh, but but his new stuff was super good. It's like this modern electronic metal. Um so it was like it's different sounding enough that it was interesting. And um the the light show kind of just kept my brain super engaged. Like I was I was into this light show, dude.

SPEAKER_09

Early's ADHD loved that.

Surprise Set From P.O.D.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, dude, I was like, oh shit. Oh Cether came out and did their set, and they played all of the songs that you wanted to hear. They played um Broken, they played uh Fake It, they played Rimedy, they played Gasoline, um just any song that you think of that Caether has, they played it. So they were huh?

SPEAKER_09

Gasolina.

Daughtry’s New Metal Era

SPEAKER_05

Nope, not gasolina. Nope, nope, nope. Gasolina.

SPEAKER_03

I remember that gasolina.

SPEAKER_05

Love that song. Not not quite words, not quite that one. No, don't know a word.

SPEAKER_00

No, it was gas. Does it mean petrol?

SPEAKER_10

Got it!

SPEAKER_05

Um, no, it was it was a good time, man. See, they're I they were slightly disappointing. Um, they were very yeah, they were very sloppy, like they just weren't like cohesive, they weren't really like put together. Um, in between is this their first concert in a while? No, that's the crazy part. Oh, and they've also been like playing for 25 years, 30 years. So like you would just think they'd be a little more put together. Yeah, um, but like in between songs, they would just like start playing random shit, and like none of it went into the next song. They would just like almost like you know when like you pick up a guitar. Well, no, but like when I pick up a guitar and I like start messing around to like tune it and stuff, like they were doing that in between every song. That's wild, yeah. And then they would just start playing another song, and like it just it didn't flow well together at all. And at one point they started to play a song, and then the singer was like, No, we're not doing that one, and they did a different one, so it just felt like chaotic and and not like put together. Um and like I said, they were sloppy, like the the the songs were good, they were there, but you could tell like they just weren't well rehearsed. Yeah, um, they did Broken and did like the worst version of Broken I've ever heard. Like I've I've heard people in bars play this song better than they didn't. It was it was not good. Oh but it's like you still get to hear them do all of the songs that you wanted to hear, you know? So yeah, it it was it was a little disappointing on that part, but I'm really happy that I got to see them. And I'm I'm a fan of Daughtry now, man. I think Dottree's super, super good, super cool.

SPEAKER_07

You you weren't a fan before?

Seether Set: Hits And Misses

SPEAKER_05

Not really. No, yeah, all of his songs are about like going home and staying home and finding home and oh shit, yeah. That's what I want.

SPEAKER_09

I love being home, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Chris, you would love Dottree. But his new stuff is new.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, sort of, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

You know, he had that song that's like, Well, I'm going home. Yeah. That was him, and then he had uh wasn't really I don't know, yeah. Oh then he has some other songs.

SPEAKER_09

I don't think so.

SPEAKER_05

It was I don't that was him. I don't think you know who Dodtre is, Taylor.

SPEAKER_01

Um these places are getting old.

SPEAKER_09

Really?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, dude.

SPEAKER_09

I think you're lying.

SPEAKER_05

Yep, that's it. Home Dodge. There you go. Googled, done.

SPEAKER_09

I I definitely thought the same guy that sang life is a highway.

SPEAKER_05

What?

SPEAKER_09

Because in my head they're the same song. Like, I don't know.

SPEAKER_05

Which version of that are you? That's what I was just gonna ask. Tom Rascal. Tom Cochrane or Rascal Flats?

SPEAKER_00

Rascal Flats.

SPEAKER_05

Um Tom Cochrane's way better than Rascal Coffee.

SPEAKER_09

Sorry, that's so brave now.

SPEAKER_05

Shut your mouth.

SPEAKER_00

You like Rascal Flats better than Tom Cochrane? Dude, well, I kind of have to. I've watched the Cars movie like joke like 10,000 times. Like I'm programmed now. I like oh wow.

SPEAKER_09

Did you guys know that there's a a car's priest? So that means there's a car's Jesus, so that means there's a car's religion.

SPEAKER_05

Taylor, I think the whole universe is just like real people, but cars.

SPEAKER_07

But like cars.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

It's wild.

SPEAKER_05

You know, I bet those cars, uh Taylor, those cars are allowed to even have jobs. Isn't that something?

SPEAKER_09

That's wild. Um, do you know this? Do you know the scene when um the girls flash their headlights to Lightning McQueen?

SPEAKER_05

Yes, it's the best scene in the movie.

SPEAKER_09

It's their boobies.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, we know. We're well aware up top. I still giggle.

SPEAKER_09

Chris, do you think that Helen Keller is real? Or let me rephrase this.

SPEAKER_00

Do you have already heard this?

SPEAKER_09

Sorry, I know. We're still on Cedar. Keep going.

SPEAKER_05

No, no, no. Cedar's over. Anyways, the show is great. And I really recommend the dome. That's my thing. Is like if you get a chance, if you're listening, if you are in Virginia, go see a show at the dome. Like, even if you're unsure if you like, if you're like, I don't really see that music or I don't want to go, just fucking go. It's so good.

SPEAKER_09

Just do it.

SPEAKER_05

Anyways, Helen Keller.

SPEAKER_09

Helen Keller. Anyways, wonderful. Um, yeah, so do you think that Helen Keller did all the things that they claim that she did?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Why lie? Taylor, the media. You guys fall for it.

SPEAKER_03

There's so much evidence. There's so much evidence.

SPEAKER_09

No, no, we're getting into it.

SPEAKER_05

We're getting into it. Because I've been thinking about it. And I know it drives me insane.

SPEAKER_09

I know that Lindsay said that she taught her in her hand. Like I get that. But like if she wrote an A in her hand, how does she know that's an A? You can't verbally tell her she's deaf.

SPEAKER_00

To what degree was she deaf and or blind?

SPEAKER_09

Fully. Fully deaf, fully blind. That's what I'm saying.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, wasn't this back in the time of like oil lamps and stuff?

SPEAKER_06

No, she she died in like the crazy part, dude.

SPEAKER_05

That's the crazy part. This is why I argue this point. She died in 1968.

SPEAKER_00

What? It wasn't that long ago. Dude, I've seen like pictures where it looks like she's in like old time. Maybe they just dressed her out.

Helen Keller Debate Spirals

SPEAKER_05

They wanted like so she died in 1968 at the age of 87. So I don't know the math. Do the math on this.

SPEAKER_07

1920.

SPEAKER_05

Wait. No, that also doesn't add up, Taylor.

SPEAKER_00

No, she'd have been like 18. Yeah. So that would have been oil lamps and stuff. Maybe those are the pictures or drawings I've seen of her. So what year?

SPEAKER_09

What 1960?

SPEAKER_05

1968. So what year what year would she have been like five?

SPEAKER_09

1968 minus. How old was she?

SPEAKER_05

87.

SPEAKER_09

So I'm doing 1968 minus 87, right?

SPEAKER_05

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_09

1881. So there were.

SPEAKER_05

That's when she was born, 1881.

SPEAKER_09

So 1886.

SPEAKER_05

So 1886, she would have been like five years old.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Right? So she she wasn't born this way.

SPEAKER_09

It was an accident that at 19 months old. It was an illness.

SPEAKER_05

Or yeah, an illness, yeah.

SPEAKER_09

That she went fully deaf and fully blind at 19 months.

SPEAKER_05

Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.

SPEAKER_09

She doesn't know how to do things at 19 months. Dude, I'm gonna die on this hill. I think she was real, and I'm sure she did some things. I don't think she wrote a whole book. I I think that maybe she helped in some capacity.

SPEAKER_00

She did not write the book. It's like all these presidents and stuff who write books, they're not writing books.

SPEAKER_09

So that's what I'm saying. I I think that things have been exaggerated. Do you see what I'm saying? That they're like, oh my gosh, no, no plane.

SPEAKER_03

And I'm like how it works. That's how it works.

SPEAKER_09

I just don't believe that.

SPEAKER_03

There's so much evidence because there are so many pictures of Ellen Keller.

SPEAKER_09

But they were like she flew a plane, but all she really did was touch the little plane thing for 30 seconds. She didn't fly a plane.

SPEAKER_00

Because technically, for 30 seconds, she was flying the plane.

SPEAKER_09

Alright, Chris, listen. Technically, yeah, but like it's not a lie. Yeah, if you I guess if you go on a technicality, but when you're like, yeah, she was deaf and blind and she flew a plane.

SPEAKER_00

You know what I mean? It'd be different if they said she performed brain surgery. I'd be like, Oh dude, Taylor.

SPEAKER_05

Taylor, not only did she write a book, she wrote so many books.

SPEAKER_09

She didn't write nothing.

SPEAKER_03

There are so many books that she wrote.

SPEAKER_09

She is deaf and blind. She literally can't do that. Like, how did they teach her? I know that they're like, Yeah, we did it in the palm of her hand, but how does she know that this is an A?

SPEAKER_00

Have you not seen the people? Have you not seen the people with the disabilities who have like no arms and there's no legs, they're just feet coming out of their torso, and like they live on their own stories, and they live on their own. These people they wash dishes, they know I know that.

SPEAKER_09

That makes sense to me. What I'm saying is, I don't understand. I think Helen Keller could do things. That's not what I'm saying. I don't understand how they taught her to write or like readily braille. Like, how did they know that she understood that? Do you see what I'm saying? In the New Yorker, verbally tell them.

SPEAKER_05

Here's an entire article in The New Yorker explaining how she learned how to write Taylor.

SPEAKER_09

But I'm saying, like, I'm saying my brain doesn't comprehend that.

SPEAKER_05

Because your brain is wrong.

SPEAKER_09

If she's deaf and blind, and they claim she was they claim she was fully deaf, then I don't believe she's fully deaf or blind.

SPEAKER_05

I bet, I bet there's a video of her doing this stuff. Hold on.

SPEAKER_09

I'm just saying I don't believe that she was fully deaf then. Do you know how I mean? Like the blind, I I get, but how can you explain to her that this is an A other than just writing it in her hand?

SPEAKER_01

Here's a video from 1954 of Helen Keller speaking out against something.

SPEAKER_09

She can talk? Dude, I'm if you let's watch it. But do you want to talk about pulling it up right now? Do you understand what I'm saying, though? Like if she went deaf and blind at 19 months old, like think about your baby. Your baby knows how to say dog, mom, and dad. Or watch on a good day.

SPEAKER_05

Pulling it up right now.

SPEAKER_09

I just I don't believe that it's real. She's lying. She she was fibbing. She wanted to get out of preschool.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, I wasn't mistaken. I uh I actually played the Helen Keller experience uh game for the 360. I'll just win it to Harley. You ready for this? You ready?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I'm ready.

SPEAKER_05

This is Helen Keller right here.

SPEAKER_02

She does not see the room or the book that she's reading. She sees nothing. She does not hear the rustling of the curtains behind her. She hears nothing. She is deaf, deaf, and blind. If you enter her room, she will know it. Your lightest footfall will tell her you are coming. She will even tell her who you are if she knows you, if she knows her old friend, Polly Thompson. Polly has been with Helen Keller forty years. She's been Helen's only companion. Helen's eyes and ears are the world. She talks with Helen by a finger system that each letter has a sign. She's barely touching her hand. Reaching out beyond her dark and soundless night, Helen depends most on touch. Two other senses remain. There is taste and there is smell. Since the scent of objects and places and people tells Helen much that we learn with eyes and ears. But her hand is such link to the outer world, with College, with Anne, the pastime helper, with everyone she encounters.

SPEAKER_09

Okay, so Helen Keller's not speaking. There's no way that's it's not, she's not really like I just don't understand how they could teach her like words. I don't understand that.

SPEAKER_05

I just don't think you were smart enough to do it to it up too.

SPEAKER_09

I understand if you are blind, obviously you can understand words and they can teach you things because you can still hear. If you are deaf, I understand that you can still read because you have eyes, right? But like if like kids who have gone deaf, you've heard deaf people talk. Do you know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_00

Don't do yes, we've all heard. Yeah, don't do the impression. Don't do it.

SPEAKER_09

No, no, no, no.

SPEAKER_00

What are you doing, Taylor?

SPEAKER_09

Holy shit, dude. I just don't understand. It's not she's I think she's real, I just don't think she wrote a book.

unknown

Taylor, don't do it.

SPEAKER_09

I'm not doing it. I'm not gonna get canceled. I have to keep my job. I just don't know.

SPEAKER_05

They don't listen to the show, so I I think it's a good thing that you didn't, but I think we're we're okay.

SPEAKER_09

No, I it takes one customer.

SPEAKER_05

We're still working on getting this show on braille.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, okay.

SPEAKER_00

Right after this, we have to get back on topic. So my uncle told me the funniest story, right? So he goes to King's Dominion in high school for band, probably. I don't know, right? Okay, and so they go to King's Dominion. Nobody said it was, I guess there was a huge gathering of deaf people, and he didn't know it until they got on the ride, and everyone started yelling at the same time. Oh no, oh no, these high school kids, you know what I mean? Like yeah, fish bags. Oh no, he was just he was so freaked out. So that's fair. Yeah.

SPEAKER_09

Oh no, but like people also don't think that Stevie Wonder is blind. Like he's just thinking that.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, where are these people meeting that you're referring to?

SPEAKER_05

Taylor's house. It's just Taylor.

SPEAKER_00

Are you in a cult?

SPEAKER_09

No, I think that Stevie Wonder is blind. I think that Helen Keller is deaf and blind. I just don't think she wrote all of those. Anywho, I stand by that because I just I don't think it's true.

SPEAKER_00

Is anybody gonna bring up the fact that she's like a pretty old woman? I mean, like, she's pretty, she is, as an old woman, like us.

SPEAKER_04

Like, man, I agree. I agree.

SPEAKER_00

What are you saying? Helen Helen Keller could get it when she was younger. She's she, I mean, I don't know if she's Helen Keller is Chris's type. She would be a mom I'd like to finance a car with.

SPEAKER_09

Let's find out. Let's find out. How would she know what was happening? That would be a jarring experience.

SPEAKER_03

I don't know. But she could say, dude, we're so close. We're walking such an edge right now. You keep catching me off guard. I'm about to say some crazy shit.

SPEAKER_08

Helen Keller's on the next SVU episode.

SPEAKER_05

Just so everyone here knows, I had a fantastic joke just now and I didn't say it. I'm a good person. God damn it. I'm a good person.

SPEAKER_09

You are a good person.

SPEAKER_05

Also, yeah, Helen Keller was a pretty lady in her 20s. I agree with this statement. I fact checked it.

SPEAKER_09

Well, pull up a picture, don't be shy.

SPEAKER_05

Well, I don't know if you'll be able to really see it.

SPEAKER_09

I know she couldn't. Yo, what the fuck are we doing here, dude?

SPEAKER_07

What am I doing? It's true.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you everybody for listening to the Helen Keller episode.

SPEAKER_05

This is this is where it all ends, guys.

SPEAKER_09

Also, if you guys plan on commenting, I don't read the comments because my mental health can't handle that. Um I stand by what I say.

SPEAKER_00

Ann Taylor can't read.

SPEAKER_04

I can't read. Neither could she. Okay. Listen, guys. No, she could. That's the thing.

SPEAKER_09

That's what I'm saying.

SPEAKER_05

We have a musician bracket to get through.

SPEAKER_09

Oh, that's right. I forgot. We do things.

SPEAKER_05

Are we are we ready to finish this up? We we gotta get through um at least one round.

SPEAKER_09

Um Kelly Clarkson's ex-husband died.

SPEAKER_05

Jim?

SPEAKER_09

I mean, this happened a while ago, but fucking Jim, dude.

unknown

Fucking Jim.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, okay, okay. Are we ready? Oh, one second. News. Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Diddy. Oh, there's Diddy news? Yeah. He got he got uh he was found guilty and then sentencing uh four years and two months, which I hate. I'm reading all these articles and they're like 50 months, and I'm like, math, not my strong suit, just tell me four years and two months.

SPEAKER_01

So four years.

SPEAKER_00

That's it. Yeah, they dropped a lot of the major stuff. Um but the let's see. Well, I want to get the verbiage right. Uh Combs was found guilty of two counts of transporting individuals for prostitution.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, so that was it.

Music Bracket: Shakira, Usher, Metallica

SPEAKER_05

It's it's stuff like this that makes the criminal say, I could do that time. Especially if you have enough money.

SPEAKER_09

Everyone who testified against him is now in danger. Do you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_05

Like, absolutely. All of that for what?

SPEAKER_09

Especially like the the I mean like lowest end of the people who went in and were like, Yeah, he did these awful things to me and put me through these awful things, and that's all I'm gonna get enraged.

SPEAKER_05

Four years. That's wild. You know what's crazier than that? Look at how handsome uh Josh Turner is.

SPEAKER_09

Dude, that's crazy. I feel I feel like that might have been insensitive. I think you should apologize right now.

SPEAKER_06

You said never mind. We're not we're not back. What I said was truthful. She couldn't hear or see.

SPEAKER_05

Um, so just to recap, we're going over the musicians from the last episode.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, so if you guys don't know what we're doing that made it through the first round, yeah, and they're going against each other now, and we have to get through these rounds.

SPEAKER_05

Are we ready? Yeah, so it was Josh Turner versus Oh, wait, no, no, sorry, pink.

SPEAKER_08

You already messed up.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, yeah, sorry.

SPEAKER_08

It was Shakira versus Shakira.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, pink all the way.

SPEAKER_05

Uh yeah, I was gonna say this is where we get decisive or divisive.

SPEAKER_09

So are we just basing it off of looks or like talent and personality?

SPEAKER_05

What are you talking about, Taylor? You're crazy.

SPEAKER_09

Because I recently heard Pink has been going across my for you page, and I've been hearing clips of her just like singing, and I'm like, yeah, I'm a pink fan.

SPEAKER_05

Um Shakira's Shakira's a uh uh criminal, also.

SPEAKER_08

She is?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, you know you don't remember uh she got in trouble for her taxes in like Colombia or wherever she's from.

SPEAKER_09

Oh, I thought that was Martha Stewart or something.

SPEAKER_05

No, Martha also got in trouble, but I don't I don't think she's Colombian. I for what is she, Taylor? You tell me. Um she's a Pumpa Honduras, yeah, but like where is she from?

SPEAKER_08

Um I don't know, actually.

SPEAKER_05

Anyways, uh yeah, she got in trouble. She she's a criminal.

SPEAKER_09

Crazy. Now I know. Um all right, well, well Shakira wins then.

SPEAKER_05

If it's uh if it's it is it is two against one. Yeah, so Shakira moves. I'm not mad at that. Um then it was John Legend versus uh James Hetfield. Honestly, we can't Oh wait, no, no, I'm sorry. No, I'm sorry. It was James Hetfield messing up against Sabrina Carpenter against Sabrina Carpenter or no Usher, Usher, James Hetfield, James Hetfield versus Usher because Bruno Mars Dude, you're really bad at this. Yeah, I am bad at this. It was uh Bruno Mars versus and John Legend won.

SPEAKER_09

Okay, so we had the first two, and then it was pink, and then Shakira and Bruno Mars, and then Shakira won. So then we had pink and Shakira, and then it was supposed to be James Hetfield versus Usher.

SPEAKER_05

Because Usher beat Adele.

SPEAKER_08

Yes, yes, yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, so James Hetfield versus Usher. We're going to James Hetfield. I'm gonna go Usher. You're going Usher. What's your reason?

SPEAKER_09

You like his bot, huh?

SPEAKER_05

No, it's the Herpes. Herbie? I love that movie. Do you know the story about him and his herpes? No, I don't want to know. Oh well, I'm gonna tell you anyways. Uh because I know a lot about music and music news.

SPEAKER_10

And herpes.

SPEAKER_05

And herpes. Uh so Usher came under fire from a lady who claimed that he gave her herpes, knowing that he had herpes, and he didn't disclose it before having relations with her. But that's a claim. It was a claim that turned out to be completely true. There were several women that came forward and they were like, yes, he got us too. Well, so then he came out and and admitted that he he was aware that he had herpes. Like, I think he ended up paying out. I'm not positive on that, so don't quote me on it.

SPEAKER_08

That's definitely easier.

SPEAKER_05

It is, it is like it there was a whole thing about it.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, like you can go to jail.

SPEAKER_05

That was one of the that was one of the first times that somebody came out. Usher was one of the first ones to come out against the whole Diddy thing. So yeah. Anyways, um if you're trying to claim our vote, it's still Usher. This is where this is where Chris was like, Yeah, I was already sold, man.

SPEAKER_09

You didn't I was already sold, and you just are keep you keep selling the deal.

SPEAKER_05

You made the deal, man. Um, yeah, I gotta go James Hetfield on this one.

SPEAKER_09

I can't go James Heffield.

SPEAKER_05

I can't let Metallica die in this cesspool of pop artists. That yeah. Alright, so we've got Sabrina Carpenter versus Benson Boone. Was it Benson Boone?

SPEAKER_09

I think so.

SPEAKER_05

Yes, it was. It was it was Benson Boon.

SPEAKER_09

Sabrina Carpenter all the way. We don't even need to argue.

SPEAKER_05

Agreed. Oh, okay. Alright.

SPEAKER_09

You're going Benson Boone?

SPEAKER_05

No, I don't like either one of them. I was gonna let you guys decide.

SPEAKER_09

She looks so pretty here. This is such a good picture of her.

SPEAKER_05

She looks like Dolly Barton.

SPEAKER_09

Actually, I hope she's happy. Okay, Dolly Barton's stunning. She kind of looks like Taylor Swift.

SPEAKER_04

Why is he why are you like ready to fight today? Because I had an awful day of work. I'm coming in. So combative.

SPEAKER_09

Sabrina?

SPEAKER_05

No, you.

SPEAKER_09

No, you missed what Chris said. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I'm not sure I'm not good at keeping track.

SPEAKER_09

Or or hers are real though. Dolly's aren't.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. Anywho. Uh so we have Ryan Gosling versus Oh, wait, no, you guys went Alicia Keys, right? Yeah.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, of course.

SPEAKER_05

Sorry. Alicia Keys versus Ooh, Kelly Clarkson. This might be the this might be the toughest one, honestly. Yeah.

SPEAKER_09

Kelly Clarkson.

SPEAKER_05

I do agree, Kelly Clarkson.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, however, watching her come up, but like in in you know, seeing it live. Yeah, Alicia Keys was before my time, but I grew up with it, and I love Alicia Keys.

SPEAKER_05

I also love Alicia Keys. I think she has a fantastic voice. Yes. It's tough to put these two together in the same place.

SPEAKER_09

I think they are both unbelievably talented, but I think Kelly Clarkson's range of things that she can do is better than Alicia Keys.

SPEAKER_05

That is fair.

SPEAKER_09

I have not found a cover of Kelly Clarkson's that I did not like. Or dare I say was better than the original.

SPEAKER_05

Should I ask for a tiebreaker from the other room?

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, probably.

SPEAKER_00

Was it really a tie? There's three of us, but still ask.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, I think you might make it a tie.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I am undecided. Same here.

SPEAKER_09

I'm I'm gonna go Alicia Keys just because but your wife sent me a video of Tibby, we'll get out with a loud hands in the air like you just don't care.

SPEAKER_05

Um, see, so I was I was leaning um more towards Alicia Keys, but based off of pure talent, but like they're so they're so that's what I'm saying.

SPEAKER_09

And they're also both stunning.

SPEAKER_05

Do you know what I mean? Absolutely, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_09

Like I don't know, it is really hard. I do think that they are both so unbelievably talented, but I do think for me, Kelly Clarkson would take the cake on that one. Barely.

SPEAKER_05

I mean like barely the song Fallen by Alicia Keys.

SPEAKER_09

I would love to hear Kelly Clarkson and Alicia Keys do a duet.

SPEAKER_05

That should happen. I'm surprised that it hasn't.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, you know what's crazy, and I hate bringing light to this person, so like just keep that in mind. But no, Lizzo has a really great voice. Like, I forgot that she's like theatrically trained.

SPEAKER_05

In a minute, I'm gonna need a nemanima, I'm an emma.

SPEAKER_09

In a minute, I'm gonna need a nemanemon.

Alicia Keys vs Kelly Clarkson

SPEAKER_05

I think I think Lizzo is a minion.

SPEAKER_06

She is. She is. No, I I hate bringing like to her.

SPEAKER_05

Like the opposite of what? That's that's a that's a horrible joke. Um I don't I don't like Lizzo. I don't like Lizzo. I mean her voice isn't her voice is fine. Her voice is fine.

SPEAKER_09

No, I just forgot her her and Kelly Clarkson did a duet. And I was like, oh, I forgot that you're not like your voice isn't obnoxious all the time. Do you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_05

Right, right.

SPEAKER_09

I was like, oh, like you can sing.

SPEAKER_05

While we wait for the tiebreaker from the other room, we're gonna stare at Shagira. No, I mean we can, um, but no, let's go through because we we gotta get to the finals today. Yeah, uh, for those of you listening, we're gonna do the finals at the live show. This is a great time to promote it, right? We're gonna do the finals at the live show, uh, where you can come and see me and Chris hanging out at Frank's Monster Munchies on October the 8th. Um, oh, I'm just now realizing that this episode will come out after.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, so hopefully.

SPEAKER_05

Never mind.

SPEAKER_08

Never mind, boys and girls.

SPEAKER_05

Um, but still, it's fun to leave it in here, anyways. Yeah, we uh we're gonna be doing a live show on October 8th. Taylor, I hired a comedian.

SPEAKER_09

Is it you?

SPEAKER_05

There's gonna be a special guest.

SPEAKER_00

It's a comedian, like an actual one. Yeah, not just someone who's funny looking. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Not yeah, I'm confused. That's crazy. We're uh who, where, how, why?

unknown

When?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, October 8th.

SPEAKER_07

Uh yes, we have the answer to the win.

SPEAKER_05

When October 8th, where Frank Monster Mungies? How? Uh he's a friend of somebody at work. Why? Because I needed to bring out a special guest.

SPEAKER_00

This is America, that's why. Yeah, Murga.

SPEAKER_07

All right, so look at my guns.

SPEAKER_00

We can't put this on YouTube if she's just brandishing firearms.

SPEAKER_09

All right, so my second amendment.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, they heard we got Shakira versus James Hetfield.

SPEAKER_08

Yes, that's crazy.

SPEAKER_09

Dude, they're both so pretty.

SPEAKER_05

Uh Shakira. One of them is foreign, the other one looks like they would have issues with the fact that she's in this country.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

And the other one's James Hetfield.

SPEAKER_08

And the other one's James Hetfield.

SPEAKER_05

Um this is tough. Again, we can't decide. It's the only rock representation.

SPEAKER_09

You guys are deciding at no no no, the finals.

SPEAKER_05

The finals. That'll be the last two. We gotta get it down to two.

SPEAKER_09

Oh, sorry. Oh, James Hetfield.

SPEAKER_05

You think? What do you think, Chris? Yeah, Shakira. He said Shakira. Oh no.

SPEAKER_09

Oh no, Shakira, Shakira. Do not lie.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. Yeah, you picked a great picture, too. That's the that's the other issue.

SPEAKER_08

I tried.

SPEAKER_00

Should have picked something else.

SPEAKER_08

The rest of them weren't that great. She does not photograph the best.

SPEAKER_05

You know, I know he's not gonna make it to the end, and neither is she.

SPEAKER_08

So you're gonna go, Shakira.

SPEAKER_05

I'm going James Hetfield. Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, keep him alive.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. Um we've got Sabrina Carpenter versus Ryan Gosling.

SPEAKER_09

Um, no. The next one, I think.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, sorry. Oh.

SPEAKER_09

No, we didn't, we didn't decide between Yeah, you're right.

SPEAKER_05

I messed up somewhere.

SPEAKER_09

No, wait, go back. Just click out of it. So I think we're now deciding it'd be so much easier if you would have deleted these pictures. Do you know what I mean? Okay, so we had Shakira against James.

SPEAKER_05

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_09

These four are done. And then we had Sabrina, would be against either Alicia or Kelly, but we didn't agree upon one of those two.

SPEAKER_05

Right.

SPEAKER_09

So we have to agree, we have to figure out who wins between Alicia and Kelly Clarkson.

SPEAKER_01

Um I'm gonna I'm gonna say Kelly Clarkson. We're gonna go Kelly Clarkson. Yeah.

SPEAKER_09

Well, it's not the first show that she's won. I'm sure you have to do finals. I have my vote. So between Sabrina and Kelly Clarkson.

SPEAKER_05

Sabrina and Kelly Clarkson. Which is Okay, so that's gonna be interesting to hear your vote, Taylor.

SPEAKER_09

Oh, I already got it.

SPEAKER_05

Nope, cancel.

SPEAKER_09

I already got it.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_09

Kelly Clarkson, all the way.

SPEAKER_05

Kelly Clarkson?

SPEAKER_09

All the way. Kelly Clarkson takes the cake on this game.

Final Four And Live Show Note

SPEAKER_05

I was gonna say, so I didn't realize that it was gonna be uh this well, no, it wasn't click quick, but uh I didn't realize it was gonna be this round. Um, Kelly Clarkson versus James Hetfield. I feel like it's pretty obvious.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, James Hetfield, obviously. Usher, of course.

SPEAKER_05

Uh um, but we will leave it up to the audience.

SPEAKER_09

To the audience.

SPEAKER_05

Great job, guys.

SPEAKER_09

That was fun.

SPEAKER_05

All right. So it is officially time, Taylor.

SPEAKER_09

It's already been an hour. Oh guys, that was so much fun hanging out. That's crazy.

SPEAKER_05

No, it's wild.

SPEAKER_09

Well, wait, before we do that, I'm gonna ask both of you what should I get for dinner?

SPEAKER_05

Papa John's. No, little Caesars.

SPEAKER_09

No.

SPEAKER_05

What are the options? Jimmy.

SPEAKER_09

Um, I didn't have options. Freak fast delivery. I didn't have options, so that's why I was asking. I kind of want five guys, kind of want a burger bowl.

SPEAKER_05

I don't know what that has to do with getting dinner.

SPEAKER_09

I'm your sister. That's gross.

SPEAKER_05

I'm sorry. I did the joke for Chris. Chris and I both definitely thought the same thing.

SPEAKER_09

We did. That's what I'm saying. Did you see the video? Did I tell you about it?

SPEAKER_07

I'm so sorry. What? A video of five guys. Someone needs to check Chris's phone. Somebody get your man on a leash. It's just Hulk Hogan.

SPEAKER_05

I would love to pull up Chris's phone and it's just a folder of Hulk Hogan pictures.

SPEAKER_08

Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_05

That's funny. Yeah, I I haven't ate my food yet. It's out there. It's waiting for you.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_10

Well, I haven't eaten either. Yeah.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah. No, I'll I'll get off here then. Are we ready? Okay. All right, everybody. You don't have to rush it. Subscribe. And don't forget to hit that bell notification so we can be notified every time we post a new video.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Taylor, when's the last time you listened to an episode?

SPEAKER_07

I haven't.

SPEAKER_05

Chris, when's the last time you listened to an episode?

SPEAKER_07

Last week.

SPEAKER_05

An hour and a half ago. You want to know when I listen to an episode?

SPEAKER_09

I'm standing on business with that.

SPEAKER_05

I listened on Monday.

SPEAKER_09

When you get the app from the place of employment that I work and you start using it, is when I'll start listening to episodes.

SPEAKER_04

Ooh.

SPEAKER_05

Ooh. I don't miss that. Is that um is that an actual offer?

SPEAKER_09

Ah, then I have to listen to myself talk. I don't want to do that.

unknown

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_00

You sound great.

SPEAKER_09

Can I do aw, Chris? Stop. Chris is so nice. I'm really glad that we added him to this.

SPEAKER_05

Everyone says that you're their favorite voice on the show. That's not even a lie, Taylor.

SPEAKER_09

You're not lying.

SPEAKER_05

No, guys, people like the first time I heard it, it pissed me off so much. I was so angry.

SPEAKER_10

Really?

SPEAKER_05

Yes. Guys. Somebody was like, Your little sister Taylor, she's got like the perfect voice for radio. And I was like, Excuse me? Pardon me?

Closing Bits And Listener Reminders

SPEAKER_09

No, I whenever I am working the drive-thru, people think I'm AI. I've had like three people, they get up and they're like, Oh, we thought that you were like a computer. Like they had an AI-generice. I said, No, it's me, dog.

SPEAKER_01

It's the real deal, dude.

SPEAKER_09

Welcome to the coffee place. No, and then and then I was uh I was taking the people's order, and then I was like, hang on one second, someone came up to the like the box, and I was like, Hi, welcome to blah blah blah blah blah blah. And they went, hey, you did the thing, and I was like, I get paid to do it. It was crazy. Anywho, thanks. That makes my heart really happy. I so hate talking, I I just I hate hearing my own voice. I do. I think everyone does. Yeah, I will say I'm gonna be insufferable once I go and tell Dylan that people like to hear what I have to say.

SPEAKER_05

I didn't say that. I certainly like the sound of your voice. Not different.

SPEAKER_09

I do just yap to yap.

SPEAKER_05

Um no, it it uh it's something that you do get used to, I will say, if if you listen long enough. If you listen every week for 168, 69 weeks, yeah, you do get used to it.

SPEAKER_09

Well, if you start using that app, but you have to use it enough to get your free drink.

SPEAKER_05

Taylor, I will start using it every time that I go starting tomorrow.

SPEAKER_09

If you listen to the show, make make sure that you have them put money on it there so you get extra stars.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. 7-Eleven?

SPEAKER_09

Yes, yes, I do work at 7-Eleven, the established coffee place.

SPEAKER_05

All right, guys. It's it's been real. Peace. Peace. Peace. All right.
