Music's Biggest Moments in 2025!

It’s amazing how a show grows up. We started with wobbly mics and chaotic intros; now we’re three and a half years in, juggling season three plans, holiday chaos, and a creator workflow that actually works most days. The conversation opens with gratitude and candor—what lasting commitment feels like when the calendar fills with family visits, three different Christmas dinners, and a sleep schedule that doesn’t. We talk numbers without bragging and gear without gatekeeping, then admit the obvious: consistency is the hardest part.
The heart of the episode sits behind an espresso machine. A customer drops sexist remarks at 6:30 a.m., and we unpack why speaking up matters, how teams set boundaries, and what real allyship looks like in service work. Minutes later, a smoky haze: the refrigerated display case is literally cooking the sandwiches. Cue problem-solving under pressure, a call to the manager, and a lot of quick thinking. Then the season’s absurd punchline—syrup shortages, dark humor at the drive-thru, and a gut check to make sure people are actually okay. That’s the theme: laugh at the chaos, but see the human first.
We promise a music show and deliver: Wham’s Last Christmas nudges Mariah from the holiday throne, sparking a smart chat on charts, nostalgia, and what makes a song “seasonal canon.” We widen the lens with 2025 music moments, from high-profile space stunts to the Grand Ole Opry’s 100th birthday and industry reckonings that refuse to be PR-washed. No stan wars here—just a clear look at ownership, legacy, and accountability, and how those stories shape the way we listen.
For a warm reset, we pop into a 90s-themed coffee shop with a working tube TV and retro posters, because third places are where culture sticks. We wrap with the perennial debate: which films are “real” Christmas movies—Gremlins, Die Hard, claymation classics, Elf—and why personal rituals matter more than rules. If you’re into music culture, creator practice, and the strange comfort of holiday messiness, this one’s a cozy ride with sharp edges.

Milestone Banter And Show Longevity
SPEAKER_05I fucking walk. I'm the worst person to have a podcast. I do fairly. What's up, everybody? Welcome back to the Hookabridge Podcast. I am your host, Harley, joined by my co-host and little sister Taylor. Back at this yet again, another week.
SPEAKER_03Um another week, another dollar. You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_05This is this is episode 178. Somewhere around there.
SPEAKER_01It's a lot of episodes.
SPEAKER_05Between 177 and 178. Somewhere in there.
SPEAKER_03It's a lot of episodes.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03You know what's you know what's crazy is the podcast I watch daily. Not daily. That's a lie. Weekly? Well, once a month at this point now. Um, but they're it's a married couple, and it's a husband, and each one of them have their own podcast. So they are quite literally like recording content all week. I mean, like, like they have a full network, like it's their it's a job, though. So it's like no, it's just it's so crazy to me that like you know what I mean.
SPEAKER_05I mean, that's gonna be me here soon.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, full podcast job.
SPEAKER_05Well, because we're gonna be doing three shows a week.
SPEAKER_03That's what I'm saying. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah. And unfortunately, I'm on all three of them.
SPEAKER_03I'm only on one sometimes.
SPEAKER_05Um, so I just checked the math. 178 weeks is three and a half years. We've been at this for three and a half years, buddy.
SPEAKER_03Happy anniversary.
SPEAKER_05And technically, with all of the weeks that we've missed, we're probably closer to four.
SPEAKER_03Um, I will say, this podcast has lasted longer than any of my high school boyfriends.
SPEAKER_05This podcast lasted longer than my music career.
SPEAKER_03Oh yikes.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, that's alright though. Um this is, I mean, I will say, like, as far as like it, people who know me know that I have an issue, not an issue committing. That's not the right word. I don't have an issue with commitment. It's an issue with keeping up on said commitment. Yeah, like like doing it, saying it is not an issue for me. It's the action of yeah, doing it every single week. Um, so this is the longest running thing that I've done, and I I feel like the hard work is starting to pay off a little bit.
SPEAKER_03It is, and I'm proud of you, buddy. I am.
SPEAKER_05Um yeah, I mean, we have 206 people on YouTube that that love us. We have 478 people on Instagram that love us.
SPEAKER_01Woo woo woo woo woo.
SPEAKER_05And as far as the audio listeners, I I've lost track at this point.
SPEAKER_03Woo woo woo woo woo. Uh guys, you're you're in for uh for a treat. I've been up since 345 this morning.
SPEAKER_05Yo, same.
SPEAKER_03Let's go. No naps.
SPEAKER_05So the reason I brought up though how many episodes we've done is because the show is divided into seasons. So every year, like at the start of the new year, I do a new season. So there was season one, we're in season two, we're fixing to be into season three of the show.
SPEAKER_03Fixing is great.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, so as of as of January 1st, we'll be into season three, everybody, of the Hook and Bridge podcast.
SPEAKER_04Hook and Bridge, season three.
SPEAKER_05Sounds pretty good. Um 2026 is gonna be a big year. It's gonna be a big year.
SPEAKER_032026. It's crazy that that's only like not that far away. I'm actually gonna spiral if we talk about it.
SPEAKER_05I mean, this is our this is our Christmas episode.
SPEAKER_03May we quit this?
SPEAKER_05I know I didn't Christmas, happy holidays to those you love to you and those you love on this. I don't faithful Christmas night.
SPEAKER_03I don't have a Christmas outfit, but do you want to see an outfit that I bought for a Christmas dinner?
SPEAKER_05Uh sure.
SPEAKER_03Do you want a haul? Guys, do you want a haul?
Seasons, Schedule, And Holiday Plans
SPEAKER_05They probably don't, but welcome to Taylor's YouTube channel.
SPEAKER_03I was recording videos to send a McKenna, and then everything happened with my car, so that never happened. I got this sweater. It's a sweater vest.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_03Isn't that cute?
SPEAKER_05It looks like a sweater vest.
SPEAKER_03And then I got um, it was a packet too, but I got this white long sleeve to go under it. And it came with this brown one that I'll figure out what to do with.
SPEAKER_05There you go.
SPEAKER_03Because we have three three Christmas dinner situations happening.
SPEAKER_05Why?
SPEAKER_00That's um an outrageous amount.
SPEAKER_03Uh, so we have we're going over to Dylan's Ants tomorrow for not Christmas. Well, kind of Christmas. I actually don't know. We're just going for dinner, and I'm gonna meet some family I've never met. That's exciting. Um, so we're going over there, and then Christmas Eve we're hosting here. We're hosting that here, and then um Christmas Day, I believe that Dylan's other aunt wants to go to um dinner. That's too much. Three related Christmas related situations. I agree, it is a lot.
SPEAKER_05Our mother is coming into town for Christmas. I know to my home abode to she is to the big house. The new casa.
SPEAKER_03New casa. I hope she loves it. I hope you guys have so much fun.
SPEAKER_05Well, I mean, she helped us move, so she's already seen it. Yeah, but she hasn't she hasn't seen it completed.
SPEAKER_03Well, she hasn't seen it furnished. So that's so exciting.
SPEAKER_05She'll be here for a week.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, she's in West Virginia right now. I opened, we uh we did our gifts yesterday on FaceTime. Well, all of them except for mom's gift to Dylan. He refuses to open until Christmas. What a loser.
SPEAKER_05You wanna you wanna know what I got uh Schmiloh for Christmas?
SPEAKER_03Sure.
SPEAKER_05I got her Bluey the video game on Switch.
SPEAKER_03Fun. Do you want to know what I got Schmilo for Christmas?
SPEAKER_05Sure. A switch?
SPEAKER_03A switch.
SPEAKER_05The one that I got you.
SPEAKER_03Regift. Re-gift. Um, no, she she opened it, and that was that was a headache and a half. Can we talk about that? Let's talk about that.
SPEAKER_05Sure.
unknownTell me.
SPEAKER_03FaceTime mom. Mom's phone already isn't great. Okay, mom, if you're listening, get a new phone, please. I'm begging you. Phone's not great. She then is trying to trying to FaceTime and like show me everyone is going like this. Oh, which is fine so that they can see me. I get that. But like Shiloh was here opening her gifts, and mom's phone was pointed up here at the ceiling. And I kept saying, I can't see her. And then her wall are yapping. Shiloh's ripping open presents, and finally out, I can't see the child.
SPEAKER_06I can't see.
SPEAKER_03Oh, mom's trying to get it down. I said, Can you just set it on the floor? Because I know she's trying to get crouched down and do this whole thing. And I'm like, Can you please hand it to Shiloh? And Shiloh will know what to do. I'm begging.
SPEAKER_05I'm telling you what, switching to laptop life is the best thing.
SPEAKER_03It was driving me up a wall.
SPEAKER_05I love doing things from a laptop, dude. Uh I'm I'm close to just not needing a phone.
SPEAKER_03All together, I know. Yeah, I um I love doing things on my iPad, but she was just giving me problems today.
SPEAKER_05Dude, no one, if you're listening to this, no one should ever shop on Amazon on a phone. The the computer experience of shopping is so much better, dude. It's crazy.
SPEAKER_03It's easier to organize. Have you ever tried setting up a list through your phone?
SPEAKER_05So it's so easy on the on the computer, dude. Yeah, everything is right there. You get far more options on the screen. You can actually see the pictures, you don't have to zoom in on everything. Like it's so, it's so nice. It's so nice.
SPEAKER_03I love the quality of like your camera and everything. It looks like you're about to record a sick disc track. Like, it's so cool. I'm a big fan.
SPEAKER_05Best improvement. I mean, think of think of where the show has gone and the improvements that we've made, um, equipment-wise, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_03I concur.
SPEAKER_05Is it is it possible? I'm gonna do this real quick. This is a fun little Christmas experience. Um, I'm gonna pull up one of our old videos.
SPEAKER_03Oh no, yeah. Is it when I was depressed and skinny? Can you pull up one of those? I've said I've been looking probably about four years ago. That's crazy. You said that probably about four years ago.
SPEAKER_05You guys said that one. I was waiting. I was waiting. I was waiting.
SPEAKER_03No, I've I've been going through it. I was looking at old pictures and I was like, man. For those of you don't know, a few years ago I I struggled a lot and I was destroying my body, but I I was a I was a whopping 135.
SPEAKER_05Oh buddy. What? Oh man, that's crazy that that's your response.
SPEAKER_03What that was a whopping 135?
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Dude, and it was not healthy. It was crazy. Not really I'm not gonna get into it. I'm not gonna get into it. Um, but I might have been sad, but I looked great. Um good times.
SPEAKER_05I I'm not gonna get into my weight. This is our Christmas episode. I don't want people to be upset.
SPEAKER_03Merry Christmas.
SPEAKER_05All right, this is our first ever.
SPEAKER_03What did you ask Santa for?
SPEAKER_05Uh nothing.
SPEAKER_03You didn't make a list.
SPEAKER_05I did not ask anybody for anything this year.
SPEAKER_03Do you think um do you think you're on the naughty list or the nice list?
SPEAKER_05Naughty for sure.
SPEAKER_03I thought I was on the nice list, and then everything started happening with my car, and I don't actually know I don't know what list I got on, but I want to get off of it now. I don't like this ride anymore.
SPEAKER_05You know what it was?
SPEAKER_03It was bullying that girl at work until she quit.
SPEAKER_05That's funny.
SPEAKER_03That's what that's what happened. I'm seeing who else we can get to quit.
SPEAKER_05Let's check this out. So, this is our first ever posted video. This is what the show used to look like, guys.
SPEAKER_02That's crazy.
SPEAKER_05That was our original logo.
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna throw up.
SPEAKER_05That was our original logo. Yeah, this was our first ever posted video. Um, I'm gonna skip the intro because I don't want people to have to listen to that twice.
SPEAKER_06This episode goes live. Look at that live.
SPEAKER_03Look at us. I was so tan. That's Monday. America.
SPEAKER_05Look, there's Lindsay before the uh before the baby was born. VC or poured out. Yeah, she wasn't pregnant yet. We have the board a board of questions. We're going to play the what is that music game. Oh, we used to be so organized. I'm your host.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I know. Now look at us. My wife. I think denominator is to that.
SPEAKER_05Taylor.
SPEAKER_03Lindsay's not here anymore. Who's organized?
SPEAKER_05Agreed. Lindsay, you want to tell us about this game?
SPEAKER_03Uh, I guess.
SPEAKER_05Um, so this is the what is that music coming later in the show. We're also going to top 10. I mean, look at the quality difference.
SPEAKER_03We were just babies.
SPEAKER_05Oh, Taylor, you know this is being recorded video. I couldn't help it.
SPEAKER_03I swallowed my water wrong. I swallowed my water. Yeah, I swallowed my water wrong. You were bullying me from day one. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_05Uh so, anyways.
SPEAKER_03So look back, guys. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_05That's wild, dude. That's wild.
SPEAKER_03Wow. Oh my sorry, I didn't mean to bump the microphone.
SPEAKER_05No, you're cool. I'm gonna switch to this other layout. How do you how do you feel about this other layout?
SPEAKER_03I hate it.
SPEAKER_05Really?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_05What is it that you hate about it?
SPEAKER_03I don't know. It's too square, it doesn't show enough of our it's too like FaceTimey. Yeah, that's where it's at.
SPEAKER_05That's crazy.
SPEAKER_03I hate it. It makes me want to throw up. Oh, actually, you can see my basket of laundry. Fix it to the that's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_05That's what I'm saying, dude. This this is a better layout.
SPEAKER_03Go back, go back, go back.
SPEAKER_05Uh this is a better framing for for shorts.
SPEAKER_03No, yeah, that I agree with. That I agree with for the short.
SPEAKER_05How annoyed is everybody with my constant posting of short clips.
SPEAKER_03Could never be annoyed.
SPEAKER_05Really? It's annoying me. It's annoying me.
SPEAKER_03Oh, well then stops.
SPEAKER_05It's four times a day.
SPEAKER_03That's a lot. That's a lot of that's crazy. You haven't come up past you haven't come across my shorts. Well, actually, I haven't been in the YouTube world. Can we talk about that?
SPEAKER_05Oh, dude, it's on it's on YouTube, the Instagram, the Tiki Toggy.
SPEAKER_03You haven't come across my Instagram.
SPEAKER_05It's everything. That's that's wild.
SPEAKER_03That is wild. I literally, honestly, I feel like I haven't been on Instagram much either. I've been on TikTok a lot. I haven't found nothing.
SPEAKER_05If you're listening, go check out our Tiki Talkie. I it's there. That's all I'm gonna say. I don't use TikTok. I'm not good at it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's hard.
SPEAKER_05All I can tell you is that our stuff goes up there automatically. So the the thing is, is like I post it once. Is he asleep on the floor? Yeah, that's funny. Um, I post it once on uh I have a I have a program that makes the short clips and then it posts it to all of our stuff for us. So I don't I don't have to actually do it, I just gotta schedule it. But like it's on my YouTube. Let me tell you, every time I get on YouTube, it's like boom, boom, boom.
SPEAKER_03Boom, boom, boom, boom. It's giving you your own content. That's kind of crazy.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah, it's real annoying to hear my own voice that much.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_05But this is the Hook and Bridge podcast, guys. We are a music show. I know we're 15 minutes in, but I just wanted to remind you that we are a music show. I know, we're gonna get to your well.
SPEAKER_03I was gonna I was gonna say I do have a music themed thing. I did a thing.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, are you gonna tell me what it is or are we still waiting?
SPEAKER_03Oh, it's a surprise.
SPEAKER_05I was gonna talk about music news, but there's like nothing going on.
SPEAKER_03Dude, I know.
Posting Strategy, Short Clips, And Creator Tools
SPEAKER_05Mariah Carey unthawed, so that's good.
SPEAKER_03That's part of my thing. Because I have I actually can I can I I'm gonna say something music news related because it was on the actual news. Okay, Mariah Carey for the first time got bumped down to number two. Oh why literally I was in the kitchen and it literally came across the news station, which it's crazy. What it's crazy that that is newsworthy.
SPEAKER_05Who took the number one slot?
SPEAKER_03Uh it's Last Christmas, but I don't know if it's like Taylor's Swiss version of Last Christmas or somebody else's, but it just has a song Last Christmas. But I've only heard Taylor's song.
SPEAKER_05I'm covered in dog hair, guys.
SPEAKER_03I thought you were just you know okay, okay, okay. Um, anyways, yeah. Miss Mariah is in spot number two.
SPEAKER_05Let's look that up real quick. Let's find out who took number one. Who took Mariah Carries spot on was it on Billboard?
SPEAKER_03Yes, I believe so. I don't know, they didn't they didn't um specify.
SPEAKER_05It's Wham, the original version. So Wham's last Christmas in 2025, making the first time the holiday song topped the charts since 2020 launch. Um though Carrie's classic still dominates the US charts in the hot 100.
SPEAKER_03Isn't that crazy?
SPEAKER_05That is crazy.
SPEAKER_03Miss Girl got bummed down. Good. Someone needs to humble her.
SPEAKER_05Ah, dude, I unpopular opinion, full fully unpopular opinion right now, but like I'm not a Christmas music guy. I don't know what's going on with me. You remember when I used to love Christmas?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I used to love Christmas.
SPEAKER_05I fucking hate Christmas now.
SPEAKER_03Hmm. That's so sad.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I don't know what's happened to me over the past couple years, but it's been slowly dwindling. And this year, I'm like, I don't like Christmas.
SPEAKER_03Oh, that's so sad.
SPEAKER_05I don't I don't know why.
SPEAKER_03I love Christmas, but I feel like this year I have gone through a lot of life changes to where, like, what do you mean Christmas is next week? Like, I feel like I haven't been able to like appreciate the month. Because for those of you listening, I've been on the grind. I am at my place of employment all day, every day, all the time. Um, which I know most people are. Like, I know that. However, it's just like a lot. It's been taking over my life. Well, I've been able to like appreciate it, you know.
SPEAKER_05We have barely decorated anything. We did no outside decorations because there's no uh electricity, so I have no outlight, no, no outside decorations at all.
SPEAKER_03Well, I mean, yeah, but you guys, you're in the same boat where you've gone through so much change this year, you know.
SPEAKER_05Like, yeah, I guess I guess that is a big part of it. I'm just kind of like over everything, you know, over over life at the moment, dude.
SPEAKER_03Same.
SPEAKER_05Not even over life, just over getting things, if that makes sense.
SPEAKER_03That's fair. I had that same problem. I was like, I don't know what I want for like everyone kept asking me and I was like, I don't really want anything for Christmas.
SPEAKER_05Like, I don't I don't remember a weekend where I didn't have to go to a store.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, it's not even fun. I used to go for funsies as like not even retail therapy, just to go. I think we've had the talk where I would get really bad Sunday scaries before work. And so, like on my days off, I would take myself on outings and I would like go to a store, like some sort of department store, and literally just walk around. But I feel like I've been like it's the same department stores I'm going to, and I need like to venture out. Like I need a mall. Take me to a mall.
SPEAKER_05I'm gonna send I'm gonna send these pictures to our email real quick. But I I want to talk about um after I listen to your Starbucks story.
SPEAKER_03Um my place of employment.
SPEAKER_05Your place of employment, I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_03Where I am a barista.
SPEAKER_05I want to talk about this fun coffee shop that I found.
We Are A Music Show, Promise
SPEAKER_03Okay. Um, I actually have two Starbucks, or I'm sorry, I actually have two barista place of employment stories.
SPEAKER_05I'm ready. Hit me.
SPEAKER_03So the first one, listen to what happened yesterday. So this guy comes in. It's buddy, it is 6 30 in the morning. I got there at 6 15 at 6 30 in the morning. This guy comes in, orders his coffee, and goes, Yo, there's a lot of estrogen around here. Oh whoa, what six thirty in the morning, guys?
SPEAKER_05That's crazy. That's crazy to say at any point in time.
SPEAKER_03It's getting it, it gets so much worse. So I we're like, Oh, aha, yeah, we're women. Sorry for existing. Um, and then he goes, Yeah, there's just like so many women here. Uh huh. Uh-huh. Yeah. And keep in mind, like, we have our regulars who are a couple of guys, and they come in as soon as we open, like literally like 5 15 in the morning, and they come, they get their coffee, and this guy literally stays all day and just reads. Like, that is his life. He comes into Starbucks, he gets his black coffee, and he sits down and he reads. And I love that for him every day. Anyways, also, while this guy is saying that, we have a male barista who is in the store at the time that this is being said, and he's just like, I'm right here.
SPEAKER_05Anyway, that's nuts.
SPEAKER_03So then he goes, Yeah, I'm really glad I'm here to bring the testosterone.
SPEAKER_05Oh no, wrong answer, bud. Wrong answer.
SPEAKER_03It gets worse.
SPEAKER_05Shut up.
SPEAKER_03So we're like, again, what an odd thing to say. Okay. So we're like just kind of like ignoring him, and he just keeps going. And then he goes, Yeah, whoever your hiring manager is, they really need a penis because what is this? What 6 30 in the morning?
SPEAKER_05Okay, all right, all right, hold on. I want to take a just a wild crack at what this guy looks like. Tell me how close I get, okay? So this man that didn't he came in, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Okay, so I'm assuming that he does he have hair or no hair?
SPEAKER_03Hair.
SPEAKER_05Hair? Okay, so it's like business cut. It's like, no. Okay. Alright. Was he was he big buff? Was he like workout bro?
SPEAKER_03No, the workout bros are so nice.
SPEAKER_05No, don't tell me things.
SPEAKER_03No, they really are. They really are. They come in and they're so nice.
SPEAKER_05Did this guy look like me?
SPEAKER_03No, he was like not heavy, but he was like nor like dad bod build. Like he was, you know, normal. He had a cane. He walked with a cane that he actually needed.
SPEAKER_05What's my build? Am I dad bod build?
Mariah Vs Wham And Christmas Music Takes
SPEAKER_03Yeah. You look like the dad that that you look like the dad carried the baby. You you carried the baby.
SPEAKER_05I look like the dad that gave up. Cool.
SPEAKER_03The dad that stepped up, actually. Um, anyway, so no, and he has like he has hair.
SPEAKER_05The dad that stepped up, but he got winded.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's funny. Uh, but yeah, he walks with a limp.
SPEAKER_05Damn, that's dude, that's nuts.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so he said that, and I'm for those of you who know me, um, I don't know what's happened to me the past couple of years, but I just like don't keep my mouth shut now. Like it's simple, like certain things I'm like, yeah, but like with that, no, you're not that's a crazy thing to say. It's 6 30 in the morning. I have barely gotten my day started. That is crazy. I am 15 minutes into an eight-hour shift. Trying is how yeah, yeah. So, anyways, so I looked at the priest next to me and I said very loudly, wow, I absolutely love sexism at 6 30 in the morning. And the guy went, I was just saying, and then sat down. And I said, I looked at him, I said, Yeah, you should probably take a seat. And then I went back and I told my shift lead and I said, You would never guess what just happened. And then I said, I she was like, Do she was like, it is it like, do I need to say something? Is it making you guys uncomfortable? I said, Do you want me to say something, or do you want to say something? She said, because she was busy, she said, if you want to go say something, you know what I mean? But we're all women by all means. I said, Good, I already did. Women and STEM over here, women and STEM, women and meal men's fields making other people uncomfortable.
SPEAKER_05Dude, that's that's nuts.
SPEAKER_03It was crazy, and I was like, genuinely, that's insane. No, really, I and like I've been this happened yesterday, and I've been thinking about it since then. Because what is that? Don't act like don't ever act like that. And he was like in his 40s, like, he's old enough to know better. That's a wild thing to say. Yeah, what yeah, yeah, and like even the first part of being like I will give him like the oh, there's so much estrogen, whatever. I'll you're right. We're all women, you are right, but then you just kept going after we're also who just points that out in the middle of the street, like you, dude.
SPEAKER_05You're live Florida is different, Florida is different.
SPEAKER_03It was it was truly crazy, and I was like, that's insane. And I have I don't know what has happened, but I've reached a point where I'm like, I'm not keeping my mouth shut. I'm so sorry. If you're gonna be ignorant and disrespectful, I'm gonna make you uncomfortable because why are you acting like that?
SPEAKER_05You need to Yeah, I don't I don't want to be that guy, but if I could get like a tenth of that confidence, just a tenth, you know what I mean? Like I think I would be a better person.
SPEAKER_03Oh what for what I'm doing?
SPEAKER_05No, no, no for that guy. Just yeah, all of these stories. If I if I had a tenth of the confidence that these people have to just go into public and say these wild things, that's for real.
SPEAKER_03And then we um we were talking somehow. Sorry, this is really funny. Um, somehow we got on the subject of my star sign, like my zodiac sign, anyways, and the male barista was like, Oh, well, I need to know what your moon sign and your sun sign is. And I'm like, I am also feeling a lot of estrogen from this conversation. I don't know what that means.
SPEAKER_05I'm I'm a Saturn Pluto rising.
SPEAKER_03Literally, like, what what do you mean? I'm so sorry. Um, anyways, so he was But only when Mercury's in Gatorade or whatever, yeah, and and um renegade or something. What is it? Um yeah, no, so so he's talking about that, and then another Barista, she chimed in, and because we were also talking about cars. This it was a very odd conversation. Uh sorry, it's kind of everywhere.
SPEAKER_05But from retrograde to cars, I assume a click of a button, but I'm not sure. Retrograde to renegades?
SPEAKER_03Um, but we're her and I were talking about cars, and like if she because she also she's in the market for a new car, and she was like, Yeah, because she got like really screwed out of her first car, and they took advantage of her, and she was like, Well, how are you with like negotiating with men and all this other stuff? And I said, I yell at men. Like, I'm so sorry. And the male barista goes, She does, she has yelled at me more than once, actually. I say, Yeah, I he's the one I barked and growled at. For those listening.
SPEAKER_05So crazy. He he stood too close to me, and I went, I think our I think our next shirt should be for those listening.
SPEAKER_03For those listening. I agree. Or I bark.
SPEAKER_05Speaking of shirts, guys, go check out our merch line. Uh, I am currently wearing one of our hats.
SPEAKER_03I gotta remember.
SPEAKER_05Breaking bridge podcast hat.
SPEAKER_03I want the beanie so bad. I gotta remember.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, we got the beanies, we got hats, we got t-shirts, we got a fun t-shirt that says, Um, hold up, wait a minute. Uh, keep telling your story, Taylor.
SPEAKER_03Oh, so okay, so this is a story that happened this morning. Um, our store was literally almost in flames, like not figuratively, like literally almost in flames.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I know things are rough, but why'd you catch it on fire?
SPEAKER_03Well, no, so apparently it got stopped or something. I said, let it go, let it burn. Um, no, so we walked into the store and like something like it smelled off once we got back to the back. We were like, something is off. This is at 4 30 in the morning. Keep you keep in mind. And we're like, something smells off, and we're trying to figure it out. We we had turned the ovens on, we opened them up, we're looking, nothing like the ovens seemed okay. And we're like, we said, Well, maybe the night crew cleaned with something, and like it's making the place smell weird. We checked the the vertica, which is the thing we use to brew the coffee. Um, we are checking the ovens, we are checking the back, like our dishwasher situation. And we're you know, yapping, and I look over and I tell my shift, I said, I feel like it looks smoky in here. And she was like, No, she goes, Well, I think because it was like not smoky, but like weird and hazy. And she was like, I think it might just be the lights, and like it's just showing the dust, you know what I mean? Like the dust bunnies and everything. I was like, no, like it looks weird, like something seems off in this store. Like, you know what I mean? Like something seems a little funky. And I was like, Yeah, like it, I don't know, like it looks a little smoky. So anyway, so I go in the back, and the another Brees and I go in the back and we come back out, we're stocking things, and we're like, no, it's definitely smoky. Like instantly, like my contacts hurt, like you could there was a visual difference, and like it was getting worse. But we had checked, buddy, we checked everything. So then I looked at my shift and I said, What if there's a fire in the ceiling? Do you know, like what do you know what I mean? Yeah, what if something happened up there and she goes, That's an option? I said, Yes. I was like, and it's just like creeping and sweat, you know what I mean? Like, yeah, and she was like, What do I do? And I said, Well, I feel like one, the sprinklers would go off, you know what I'm saying? Like something like something would be maybe. Um, and also I feel like the smell would be worse. I don't know, the whole thing was weird, but then the smell was progressively getting worse. And I was like, Yeah, girl, like something, like we're trying to call the manager, like we're like, we don't know what to do, like something's going on.
SPEAKER_05Nobody, nobody called the fire department.
SPEAKER_03We were going to that also was like, well, we were like, let's be girls, let's investigate.
SPEAKER_05Everything's on fire. What do we do?
SPEAKER_03What do we do?
SPEAKER_05They call the manager.
Work Grind, Decorations, And Holiday Burnout
SPEAKER_03So, do you do you know the case that sits by the front register that has like the grill cheeses and like the baguettes and everything? Yeah, like we call it the RTD case, right? So RTD2, RTD2, ready to order. Anyway, so we uh are looking at it and we're trying to stock it. That's what was smoking. The sandwiches, the sandwiches were cooking. Um, no, we don't know what was wrong with it, but my shift looks at it and she's like the sandwiches, the not the same, not the chrome. Jesus. We're already out of all of our Christmas drinks. Imagine we are out of growth.
SPEAKER_05It's because you imagine your girl came and said I wanted it triple toasted. You're like, I got I got you.
SPEAKER_03It's two-day toasted, actually. No, it was crazy. Like the whole thing was smoking, so we started like gather the sandwiches, and we have to take them all the time.
SPEAKER_05Gathered the sandwiches?
SPEAKER_03Well, yeah, they were they were fine.
SPEAKER_05This whole story is an ocean nightmare.
SPEAKER_03We gather the sandwiches and we bring them all the way to the back, and we like clip that we put them in the back.
SPEAKER_05By the way, clip that.
SPEAKER_03Clip that, clip that. Um, and then she turns the RTD case off and Dexter, our manager, and said, Yo, girl, we got a problem. But this was literally almost in flames. Like, I don't know what the problem was, but it was it was a crazy morning. I did say I said, Do you need me to faint so we can just go home?
SPEAKER_06Do you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_03If I faint, the other girl has a headache. Like, let's just go home. Um, no, and then we had another guy. Sorry, I we haven't talked in so long. We had this other guy come through and he tried to order a sugar cookie line.
SPEAKER_06And you didn't have any, yeah.
SPEAKER_03We're out, we've been out for four weeks. There's a shortage, and we are now also out of gingerbread and chestnut praline. The only, the only flavor, the holiday flavor we have is chestnut brulee or caramel brulee, whatever it is.
SPEAKER_05Anywho, and nobody wants that.
SPEAKER_03Nobody wants that. So we're we're out of the sugar cookie latte, and he's on the speaker box. He goes, 'Yeah, can I get one?' And and she's like, 'I'm so sorry, we're out.' And he said under his breath, I don't think he knew that we could hear him. He goes, Oh, I might just have to go kill myself.
SPEAKER_05Yo, same though.
SPEAKER_03We all just looked at each other. We're like, Did you just say that? But it's so funny because it's such like a millennial Gen Z thing. You know what I mean? We're learning like that. We're it's so unserious.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, but somebody should have hopped on and been like, actually, though, like, here's the suicide hotline prevention number.
SPEAKER_03Are you okay? No, so he like gets up to the window, the barista opens it and she goes, Hey man, I'm sorry. Um, and she's like, Are you good? And he said, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And because I she was like, Yeah, we could we could hear you. Like, we she was like, We are giggling, but like, are you okay? And he goes, Yeah. He said, I got myself out of it on the way up here. But that's the one. And then he said, I promise you being out of sugar cookie is not going to be my 13th reason.
SPEAKER_05Story, story on the news the next day.
SPEAKER_03Suicide note found Starbucks is at fault.
Barista Tales: Sexism At 6:30 A.M.
SPEAKER_05So this is one of our fun shirts that we have. Uh it says for sure, dude, and then it has the hook and bridge podcast on it. Um, we also have uh hats and beanies and t-shirts and a polo, uh, notebooks, cell phone cases, stickers, uh aprons, pickleball paddles, and then Taylor's classic OMG I love green day shirt.
SPEAKER_03I do OMG I love green day.
SPEAKER_05So yeah.
SPEAKER_03Love.
SPEAKER_05We've got the merch. And it's and it's nice. I I really enjoy my head. It's nice. It turned out great.
SPEAKER_03I need to order a beanie. I literally keep forgetting. Like it's on my Google thing. Like our store is up, but I it's in the cart. I need to just go do it. I just keep forgetting.
SPEAKER_05Gotta do it. You gotta do it.
SPEAKER_03Gotta do it.
SPEAKER_05Are you ready to jump into this thing? I I'm I've been waiting waiting too much.
SPEAKER_03Are you gonna be so mad if I tell you I have one more Starbucks story?
SPEAKER_05Uh I mean, no.
SPEAKER_03We cannot do it. It's okay.
SPEAKER_05We could table it, we could table it, and you could tell just me later.
SPEAKER_03Okay, because it's really funny. Remind me to tell just you later.
SPEAKER_06This list, this list.
SPEAKER_05This list. Oh, music stuff. Did you make a list?
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_05Oh. Did you make whatever this is on Canva?
SPEAKER_03Um, no, I was logged out of our Canva, actually.
SPEAKER_05Oh, that's crazy.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and I wasn't fighting with it, so hang on, don't mind me, okay?
SPEAKER_00Alright.
SPEAKER_03Let me just try and am I gonna have to call reinforcements?
SPEAKER_00Do I have to do that? You know what's crazy?
SPEAKER_03For two people who have no rhythm, we uh we sing a bluey theme song pretty well. Bluey!
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I do all right on it.
SPEAKER_03What is that? What is happening? Oh, that's why.
SPEAKER_05Well, while Taylor's figuring that out, let me take a moment and tell you about our lovely sponsor, Dubby. Now, Dubby is an energy drink. Uh, they're a competitor with G-Fuel and Monster and all of those classic energy drinks that you know and love. However, Duby uses natural caffeine from coffee extract. So you get like the boost, the energy boost, without the jitters. Uh, it's called jitterless coffee or jitterless energy drink hydration, whatever they're calling it. Um, use our code hook and bridge at checkout to get between 15 and 30% off. And they have these cool shaker bottles that they made that are our color for our show. Uh and yeah, go check out Dubby. I I can't drink energy drinks, so I can't technically tell you about them as far as like the taste. But our co-host Chris has drank half of the container at this point of Dubby at my shop, and he loves it. Uh, he swears it's the best energy drink that he's had, and he comes in every morning and grabs some. So take it for what it's worth.
SPEAKER_03Debbie! How do I play this? Can you see it?
SPEAKER_05I can see it. Can you see it?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_052025 biggest music moments. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but I wanna how do I how do I make it? How do I where are you? How do I like play it? Hang on.
SPEAKER_05There you go.
SPEAKER_03Okay, now can I do it where I can see you too? I cannot. Okay.
SPEAKER_05Just know that I'm here in spirit.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so oh wait, wait, wait. Can we go back? Oh no, no, oh no. Okay, so so guys, I have created. I was thinking about this today after hearing Mariah Carey's situation, and I said, Wow, I wonder what the other biggest 2025 music moments are. And I'm not gonna lie, prepare yourself, they're not great. Okay, like there's a handful where you're like, oh my gosh. I also did one for each month because like there were a lot, but I figured, you know, let's sum it up in like uh, you know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, absolutely.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, but a lot of it was like new music coming out, you know what I mean? The boring stuff. I don't care about that.
SPEAKER_05Boring.
SPEAKER_03Boring. So, right here, these are some honorable mentions that didn't actually make it into the slideshow. Something about K-pop demon hunters.
SPEAKER_05Ugh. Yeah, they everybody loves K-pop demon hunters, it's everywhere. Uh, the kids are talking about it, the kids are talking about it, everybody loves it. Um, we the greatest show.
SPEAKER_03No show better. We have uh Beyoncé uh with Cowboy Cowboy Carter. Oh I think it's Cada. Uh Cowboy Cada. Um, for her Grammy or something. And then down here is just like a little fill in because I was losing my mind.
SPEAKER_05Anywho, so Beyonce didn't make the list.
SPEAKER_03No, but something else took her place. I don't remember what it was, but something else.
SPEAKER_05Actually, a lot of people take her place. Remember when she was at those Diddy parties, allegedly that I say?
SPEAKER_03Allegedly.
SPEAKER_05Allegedly.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, one big thing happened this year. Well, two big
SPEAKER_05Remember, remember when her and Jay-Z attended allegedly attended uh Diddy parties? Remember that everybody?
SPEAKER_03Remember? Starting with January. Starting off in a blaze of glory, you would say.
SPEAKER_05Billy and Billy.
SPEAKER_03Billy and Billy. The California Wildfires, guys. Um, awful thing that happened, obviously, but we got a pretty sick concert out of it.
SPEAKER_05One of the greatest uh compilations of musicians since LiveAid.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it was fantastic.
SPEAKER_05Anyway, and you got to see Billy and Billy on the same stage. Billy performing together. William Eyelash and Billy Joe.
SPEAKER_03Billy Joel, some would say.
SPEAKER_05Different guy. Oh, what if they got Billy Billy and Billy?
SPEAKER_03Dude, Edd Edd and Eddie.
SPEAKER_05Billy, Billy and Billy, dude. That book writes itself.
SPEAKER_03And here, February, we have Patrick Lamar doing the Super Bowl.
SPEAKER_05I did not realize that he did the Super Bowl that year.
SPEAKER_03Really? Dude, it was sick. Have you watched it?
SPEAKER_05I have not. No. Not really a football guy, to be honest with you.
SPEAKER_03No, I don't watch it for the football. I watch it for the half-type show. What?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, but they usually suck.
Smoke In The Store And Sandwich Triage
SPEAKER_03No, his was good. Anyway, so sorry. Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_05Kendrick Lamar.
SPEAKER_03Kendrick Lamar. So that was January, February.
SPEAKER_05Oh, wait, wait, go back. So that's the show where he yelled a minor, right? To the crowd. Yeah. And everybody was like, oh, Drake's hooked.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_05A minor. I'm on I'm on the same page. Oh, wow. Talk about women and STEM.
SPEAKER_03Women and STEM. Lady Gaga's solo album was released.
SPEAKER_05Don't ask for me. Frankly, I didn't care. Nobody cares about Lady Gaga. Katie Perry went to space, guys.
SPEAKER_03Katie Cat takes flight, guys.
SPEAKER_05In April.
SPEAKER_03Katie Cat. Katie Cat took flight. Um, she she flew up to space, she crashed to the ground, and then she got out. She kissed Mother Earth.
SPEAKER_05Remember when the oh, can I watch the are we allowed to watch that video of them screaming?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, can we also just watch her showing things to the camera in space? In space.
SPEAKER_05That's also funny. Um when you still see me. Yeah. Go to space. Screaming.
unknownUh.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03I don't think we can both share our screens, right?
SPEAKER_05Uh no, I'm gonna remove yours and add mine.
SPEAKER_03Dude, what? How do I get mine back up?
SPEAKER_05I can get it back up. Don't worry. Don't you worry your little head.
SPEAKER_03My little head is actually always worried.
SPEAKER_05Alright, are we ready, guys? Yeah. Make sure you can hear this. Can you hear it?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_04The drug parachutes just free falling right there until those drugs came out. And then next will be the main parachutes that get pulled out. It's a very soft, soft landing, despite the sporty uh perception. There it is.
SPEAKER_03Soft landing is crazy. Dude. I forgot. Forgot that happened. That's crazy. Oh wow, man. Imagine how terrifying that just free falling from the air.
SPEAKER_05It's so it's it's not how do I put this? How do I put this that it's gonna sound okay?
SPEAKER_03No, it's funny. You can say it.
SPEAKER_05It is funny, it is funny, but it's not it's not a dig on women, but it is hilarious to think of like there are videos of like trained astronauts coming back to Earth, and it'll be like the eagle has landed.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Or it'll be like we have uh entered Earth's atmosphere and we are preparing for our descent.
SPEAKER_03But really, didn't they didn't they just go as high as like like Houston?
SPEAKER_05Things are getting a little rocky up here. You know what I mean? No, they went to the higher than that.
SPEAKER_03But like No, that's my conspiracy theory. They didn't go to space.
SPEAKER_05But the idea that it warranted that level of dude, I'm sure estrogen.
SPEAKER_03Estrogen is crazy. No, I someone needed some testosterone on that on that chip. No, it's crazy though. Imagine free falling from space. Like, imagine the the tummy sickness.
SPEAKER_05Did you did you see did you see the videos speaking of Katy Perry showing things to the camera? Uh, did you see the AI videos where it was like her showing like a toaster, her showing like a vacuum, her showing like a sponge?
SPEAKER_03They're so funny, they're so funny. Oh, everyone's like so so serious about it, and she's like, Look at my flower.
SPEAKER_05It's so funny. Okay, all right. Continue. This makes me happy. Good job, Taylor.
SPEAKER_03Thank you.
SPEAKER_05Also, your slideshow, your slideshow presentation, impressive.
SPEAKER_03Thank you. You like it? I wanted to do more, but that's okay. Can you see it?
SPEAKER_05Yes, I see it. June, nothing.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, nothing happened in June.
SPEAKER_05Oh, so we get double dose of T Swift.
SPEAKER_03You get double dose of T Swift. T Swift may happen. No, buddy, this is so big. She bought her masters back. You might not like her, but you have to like that's a very empowering thing. Like, she she bought back her music. Alright.
SPEAKER_05This is this is where I keep my mouth shut.
SPEAKER_03Say all right.
SPEAKER_05Can we go back to the space shuttle?
SPEAKER_03Say all right.
SPEAKER_05Alright, alright, alright.
Shortages, Dark Humor, And Merch Plug
SPEAKER_03Thank you. I'm holstering my weapon. Anywho, yeah. Double T swizzle, because nothing happened in June. Nothing that I wouldn't put on here.
SPEAKER_05Fair enough.
SPEAKER_03Except for Juneteenth.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, that's crazy. How dare you, Taylor?
SPEAKER_03That wasn't music related. Oh July.
SPEAKER_05All of the worst things happened in this slide.
SPEAKER_03Why are you such a hater? Where's McKenna?
SPEAKER_05Oh sourne died in July. Yeah, and I August Taylor Swift gets proposed to by Travis Kelsey. By Travis Kelsey. So he can finally be a housewife.
SPEAKER_03So he can finally they're gonna have. I was telling Dylan this earlier, they're gonna have the biggest Neppo babies.
SPEAKER_05I just can't wait to see that Swift jersey.
SPEAKER_03I know, I'm waiting. And then September, Selena Gomez gets married, guys. And that's a really beautiful thing.
SPEAKER_05To that Benny guy, right?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03There's some there's some speculation though.
SPEAKER_05Oh, speculate.
SPEAKER_03Specul there's speculation. I haven't really looked into it because I don't, frankly, I don't care that much. I love Selena Gomez. I have since the beginning. I think she's a very sweet soul. I think she obviously, I'm sure you know all of her like issues with mental health, you know.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah. And bipolar lupus. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Like she she she she do be having a lot on her plate.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I don't have any issues with uh Sabrina or not Sabrina. What's her name?
SPEAKER_03Selena?
SPEAKER_05Selena. Selena, Sabrina.
SPEAKER_03Same difference. Um, but I guess people are speculating that Benny is not that great of a guy, that he love bombed her, and now that they're married, he's like kind of bad.
SPEAKER_05Really?
SPEAKER_03I don't know. I haven't looked into it. I just saw a couple like things about it, and I was like, I guess we'll see in a few years. You know what I mean? I ain't gonna speculate on someone's relationship. Who am I? Anywho, I was reading into Ozzy's death, and I read the saddest thing. Do you know what his last words were?
SPEAKER_05No.
SPEAKER_03Um what was it? Just just hold me and hug me tighter. That's what he said to Sharon as he was dying.
SPEAKER_05Really?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, his last words. Isn't that awful? I mean, awful and beautiful, but like, oh my gosh. Yeah, he had Parkinson's for those listening. Um it's also speculation on like how he died, but like he kind of himself. So that's so sad. And he knew he was going to. That's the crazy thing, too, is like in order to do that those that last tour, he had to fully go off.
SPEAKER_05He had to stop his medication, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and that caused it to deteriorate so much. That's crazy. Yep, legend is gone. Gone too soon.
SPEAKER_05For sure.
SPEAKER_03Too soon. Anywho, and better news. October, Diddy is found guilty.
SPEAKER_05Diddy did it.
SPEAKER_03Diddy did it. He only got four years, though. Well, four plus years. I don't know.
SPEAKER_05He got what it's 50 months. The documentary's fascinating. You guys gotta watch the we're watching it tonight. It's fascinating.
SPEAKER_0350 months is not enough months. I'm so sorry.
SPEAKER_05No, he got away with so many crimes.
SPEAKER_03And and I guess the judge said that too. Like, I was reading the thing, and the judge was like, This is not enough time. Like the judge wanted to give him more time, but was like, I can't. You know what I mean? Because so so much was swept.
SPEAKER_05There is a full video of him beating the shit out of this poor woman.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Like full. It's crazy, it's crazy.
SPEAKER_03That they had concrete evidence for?
SPEAKER_05No, no, he didn't get tried for that. I don't think. I don't think that was one of the ones they threw out.
SPEAKER_03Why?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah. Hold on, hold on. Okay. What was Diddy uh convicted of? Here we go. Two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. That's it.
SPEAKER_02That's it. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_05That's what I'm saying, dude. Acquitted Combs on more serious charges of racketeering conspiracy, two counts of sex trafficking, which would have resulted in a life sentence. They didn't even bring that up as one of the charges. He got no assault charges or anything on that. Full video evidence of this fucking guy wailing on her.
SPEAKER_03Is this evidence that came out after because got his hands on stuff?
SPEAKER_05Uh oh, he did, dude. He did. He did.
SPEAKER_03Um, but no videos of him grinning.
SPEAKER_05Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Talking about this documentary? It's so funny. Did you also know that he did an interview on ABC News because that's the only news channel they can watch in prison? So he did the interview about the documentary, so P. Diddy would see it.
SPEAKER_05That's funny.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. And do you want to hear something else crazy? Sorry, were you gonna say something?
Sponsor Read And 2025 Music Moments
SPEAKER_05No, it's just it's crazy that he got he got away with that. Like that's so alarming.
SPEAKER_03It's insane. Um, no, 50 Cent is so funny. I follow him on on Instagram now because of this. Like that this whole thing is so unsecured.
SPEAKER_05Like every interview, he's just um speaking of speaking of the the Diddy Found Guilty thing. Um today's a big day for the nation.
SPEAKER_03Did he die?
SPEAKER_05No, the Epstein files got released today.
SPEAKER_03Did they really?
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Gee, did they like, or are they are they actually released or I don't I don't know.
SPEAKER_05Everybody it it was court ordered, so everybody is like, hey, like we got, I think it's like hundreds of thousands of documents released. So like they're they're sorting through everything, and and you know, I'll look more into it for my own.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, you know, I'd like to look into it, but like I'm sure Dylan's gonna look into it too, and then one of you can relay the info to me because I can't read. Um, crazy. Do you know what else happened today? Apparently, Avatar 3 came out.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, who cares? I that's wild.
SPEAKER_03It took him 10 years to make the second one, and they popped out the third one.
SPEAKER_05The third one in like a year.
SPEAKER_03Um, anywho, no, so 50 Cent Um P Diddy sent him funeral flowers from prison, sent him a funeral arrangement of flowers. And yeah, as like a threat. And 50 Cent took a picture and posted it, and the he posted it on Instagram at the comments said, Yo, this is really gay. Why are you sending me flowers? You're a grown man. That's kind of gay. Oh anyways, because because 50 Cent's chilling. I mean, he can't, it's not like he can kill him off. You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_00I don't know, dude.
SPEAKER_03First of all, it's 50 Cent. You think that 50 Cent doesn't also have people? Do you know what I'm saying? Like the whole thing feels also if he if if 50 Cent is a goner, you don't think we're all gonna question that? Do you know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_05I do, but like you gotta watch the documentary. It's alarming.
SPEAKER_03No, I just thought it was so funny. He was like, yo, this is really gay, actually. It's really gay that you sent me flowers.
SPEAKER_05Um, on this also is the grand old Opry turned a hundred years old.
SPEAKER_03It is officially the oldest radio station.
SPEAKER_05Wow.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, on yeah, in November, my birthday. I share a birthday with the grand old Opry.
SPEAKER_05That's crazy.
SPEAKER_03Isn't that cool? Yeah, I thought that was really cool when I read that. I was like, wow, I love that.
SPEAKER_05And then lastly, Mariah Carey loses her number one spot in December.
SPEAKER_03Rightfully so. I love that.
SPEAKER_05Queen of Christmases no more.
SPEAKER_03Humble her. Anyways, that's my that's my uh that's my yearbook.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, no, you did a great job, buddy. I love this.
SPEAKER_03I was really excited. Um, again, I wanted to do more with the presentation, but I my iPad just stopped working.
SPEAKER_05We should start doing like a like a this day in music history or something, or like this month in music history.
SPEAKER_03If it's something that I can just Google like straight up, I'm fine with doing it. But it's when I have to dig deep where I'm like, I'm over it. That's not that's not just with music. I want everyone listening. That's I'm an awful person. It's kind of with everything.
SPEAKER_05I'm sorry to have an awful person.
SPEAKER_03I'm sorry, I've been awful person. Yeah, no. So but that's that's the music the past year.
SPEAKER_05Um, I want to show you while we have a little bit of time here. Yeah, this coffee shop that I went to.
SPEAKER_03Coffee shop, coffee shop.
SPEAKER_05So let's see. Uh oh, where is Shadow? Here we go.
SPEAKER_01This is what Shiloh got um Dylan. So smells like video game rage.
SPEAKER_05Alright, so here's the first picture.
SPEAKER_01Dude, that's sick.
SPEAKER_05It's a 90s-themed coffee shop.
SPEAKER_03Does that uh that TV work?
SPEAKER_05Yes, it was playing a Christmas movie when I got there.
SPEAKER_01Dude, I love that.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, they have a little TV there, um, like an old school TV. They've got a like a super 90s retro color scheme going on. Um let me show you some more pictures here. Let's go.
SPEAKER_03Did you guys have you guys uh shown Adam any Christmas movies this beautiful December?
SPEAKER_05Uh we've shown him uh the Mickey Christmas movie he likes.
SPEAKER_03Um he's a big fan of that one.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Um there was like a Christmas movie compilation on Disney Plus that we watched. Um, I think that's it so far.
SPEAKER_03We uh the only Christmas movie Dylan and I have seen collectively is The Griblins.
SPEAKER_05Oh, really?
SPEAKER_03And then I watched Santa Claus the other day. I forgot how much I loved that movie. That's a good movie with uh with what's his face?
SPEAKER_05Uh Tim Allen.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Yo, this is so fun.
SPEAKER_05It's right down the road from my house.
SPEAKER_04That's so fun.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I'm I'm taking Lindsay and Adam there tomorrow morning.
SPEAKER_04Aww.
SPEAKER_05I got when I was there, I got a frozen hot chocolate because it was like 70 out. Um, and it was it was solid. It was it was a hot chocolate that was frozen, you know? It was good. And then there's this last picture. They've got like all the movie posters.
SPEAKER_01That's awesome.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it's it's a really cool place, it's a really good spot. So, anyways, that's what we're gonna be doing in the morning.
SPEAKER_03That's so fun. I'm gonna be sleeping. Guess what Adam's gonna be doing?
SPEAKER_05Working?
SPEAKER_03My car.
SPEAKER_05Um, we're going and getting Adam's haircut tomorrow.
SPEAKER_03Are you excited? Are you gonna cry?
SPEAKER_05No, why would I cry?
Katy Perry Space Clips And Reactions
SPEAKER_03Oh, that's crazy. He's he's such a little baby. Are you gonna give him more of a comb over? Uh are you gonna make him look you should don't don't give him the spike. Don't make him look like a douchebag baby. Don't do that. I hate that. Don't he's a comb over, baby. He looks so cute and sweet with his comb over. You're gonna if Lindsay gives him spikes in his hair, he's gonna be he's gonna be so sassy. Are you kidding me? Haircut changes babies. He's gonna be so sassy. You think he gets in the trash can now? Wait until you you spike his hair.
SPEAKER_05I I don't know. That's that's Lindsay's department. I didn't I just said that we need to get it out of his eyes.
SPEAKER_03Also, it might just be a little trim then. It might just be like uh keep it long but trim it out of his eyeballs.
SPEAKER_05Maybe, I don't know. But it's$31.
SPEAKER_03Dude, get some kitchen scissors and do it yourself. What he doesn't care what it looks like.
SPEAKER_05This is a baby's first haircut package at a kid's like haircuttery place. Um, so they do a certificate of his first haircut, they keep a lock of his hair and give it to you, and then they take a picture and they print it off while they're while you're there for$31.
SPEAKER_03That's it.
SPEAKER_05Which I'll tell you what, I pay$50 to get my hair cut every time.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but like, yeah, they don't take my picture. Well, the last lady That's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_05Where's my picture?
SPEAKER_03The last lady took my picture, and mom thought it was for human trafficking. Mom was really worried there for a minute that I was gonna get trafficked.
SPEAKER_05That you were gonna get trafficked?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, because the lady liked how she cut my hair. She said, Can I take it for reminding me?
SPEAKER_05Did she know that you weighed 135 pounds?
SPEAKER_03Get out of here. Stay safe, eat cake. Anywho. Anywho. Um, no, that's so fun. Happening tomorrow, yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, you remember that you sent Lindsay uh like very recently that uh first episode of Bob's Burgers Dylan and we were cackling.
SPEAKER_03Man, I miss what Bob's burgers used to be.
SPEAKER_05Dude, I I love that clip so much.
SPEAKER_03It's my favorite episode, and in in the comments, one of them said, Pilot, by the way.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Like, and I do love I love Bob's Burgers now. You know what I mean? Like, I do love the show. It's probably dare I say my favorite Cartoon Network adult swim swim show.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it's a good show. I like that show a lot.
SPEAKER_03So funny. I think it honestly, I think it goes Rick and Morty, Bob's Burgers, then Family Guy.
SPEAKER_05See, I feel like I have like spurts. Like there for a minute, I was on an American dad kick. Lately, I've been watching Family Guy at night because I haven't seen Family Guy in a very long time. Um, yeah. Bob's Burgers was a kick for a while.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, Bob's Burgers is what we watch when we're going to bed, but we finished it again. So we have to go through and like unwatch it from our Hulu so we can restart it again. So we've been watching American Dad, and it's fine, it's fine. Um, Family Guy is really funny because I didn't realize how much we watched it when we were younger in our adolescent age. Yeah, I know the first three seasons, it's like I'm a sleeper agent, and I just heard my like activation phrase. Yeah, like they'll say something, and I whole episode I could just quote it. Like it's wild.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I I we watched a lot of family guy because we had the DVD. It was like one of the only DVDs that we had.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_05So there was a lot of Family Guy.
SPEAKER_03There was a lot of Family Guy, and there was a lot of Silent Hill. Yeah, we have a weird childhood.
SPEAKER_05Anywho, all right.
SPEAKER_03Um, did I oh sorry, go ahead.
SPEAKER_05Oh, go ahead. Go ahead.
SPEAKER_03Did I tell you that I told you about how Dylan's never seen Gremlins, right? This is what we'll end this on.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03And about how so for those listening, I took a picture of um Gizmo, and it was like a stuffed animal, and I sent it to him, and he said, Is that a laboo-boo?
unknownOh, yeah.
SPEAKER_03And I said, Don't ever do my boy Mogwai like that again. And he said, Huh? I was like, from the Gremlins, and he was like, I don't know what that is. And I said, That's crazy, that is what we are watching tonight. And we did, and it's a really great movie. So for those listening, it's a great movie. It's a good movie. Go watch it. It's a good movie.
SPEAKER_05Um, so this was our Christmas episode. Let's end it on let's end it on controversial Christmas movies.
SPEAKER_03Oh, controversial. Jack Frost. What is that?
SPEAKER_05It's a good movie, dude.
SPEAKER_03It made me cry. It was kind of traumatizing if you think about it.
SPEAKER_05No, I meant like like Gremlins is a Christmas movie.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Die Hard is a Christmas movie.
SPEAKER_03I've never seen Die Hard.
Taylor’s Slide: Swift, Losses, And Scandals
SPEAKER_05Um what was there? Was one that I argued that I was Nightmare Before Christmas. Yeah, that's one too. But no, there was a specific one that I was like, this is a Christmas movie. That everybody was like, that's not a Christmas movie.
SPEAKER_03Was it not Griblins? Because I know we had that conversation.
SPEAKER_05Maybe that was it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, yeah. Is it a Christmas movie? It was a Halloween movie.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it's a Christmas movie because the Mogwai is a Christmas gift. No, it literally opened on Christmas.
SPEAKER_03During Christmas. There is Christmas horde. I have to remember that. Um, Harry Potter one and two.
SPEAKER_05Yep. Christmas movies. Christmas movies. And three. One, two, and three. Because they're all Christmas movies. Yep. Um you know what's a bad Christmas movie? Uh the Christmas story.
SPEAKER_03Dude, I not a fan.
SPEAKER_05No.
SPEAKER_03Is Lindsay is Lindsay watching this?
SPEAKER_05Probably not.
SPEAKER_03No, right? Not a fan. I don't like the Christmas. There's a handful of like Christmas movies that are classics. I'ma say something crazy. I don't even have the urge to watch like The Polar Express. Like, yeah, it was cool when I watched it as a kid that one time, but I'm not like itching to watch it. I'm not like put it on.
SPEAKER_05I'll tell you what, the only Christmas movie that I get in a mood where I'm like, I want to watch it is um um what the heck is that movie? Santa Claus is coming to town, the claymation one.
SPEAKER_03The claymation. I showed that one to Adam last year. I was like, this is your dad's favorite Christmas movie. The only one that I get the urge to watch. Well, I mine are like such like elf ones. El Elf, that's a classic, of course. I I do like Elf.
SPEAKER_05Elf's one of those movies, though, that I can watch any time of year. I don't I mean, I know it's it's a Christmas movie. Yeah, it's a Christmas movie, but like it could be on in July. I don't care.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I'll watch it. Uh, yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus favorite, favorite Christmas movie.
SPEAKER_05Honestly, the Christmas shoes cannot.
SPEAKER_03I've only seen it the one time. We'll never watch it again. A beautiful movie. I think everyone should go watch it. Beautiful movie. Can't watch it. Um, no, I think we like the 30-minute like movies. Like last year, Dylan and I watched Rudolph. I love Rudolph, the claymation Rudolph. Honestly, we should watch that one too. Big fan of that one. Um, the one, do you know what one I'm talking about? With with a lemur and uh not lemur, hang on. Which it's like the newest Nico's daddy. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_05It's like the the reindeer that's like not a reindeer or whatever.
SPEAKER_03The the bastard reindeer, yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, you said bastard.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that's what it's called. When a baby is born out of wedlock. Do you not know that?
SPEAKER_05I do, but it's alarming to hear it out of your face.
SPEAKER_03Oh, sorry. That's what it that's a technical term.
SPEAKER_05It's crazy.
SPEAKER_03That's crazy. It's what it is, though.
SPEAKER_05What's a female dog?
SPEAKER_03Ah, you're not gonna get me. Not gonna get me.
SPEAKER_05Women in STEM.
SPEAKER_03Women in STEM. Uh I almost bought this pillow today from DJ Maxx. That's I'm literally just a girl. Um, no, I love that one though. I uh really love also the Elf on the Shelf movie. Sorry, I'm not a kid. It's it's good. I like the cartoon Christmas movies. I'm not a big fan of like the people, the real life Christmas movies, right? You know what I mean? Like they're just not as good, except for Santa Claus. I forgot how good that movie is. That one's a that one's a good one. That one's a classic. Um, yeah. Ah, I gotta go watch Christmas movies. That's next week, guys. Yeah, start watching the movies. I've only I've only seen two, so we have to get off here so I can watch the Christmas.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it's it's that time, guys. We did it. Merry Christmas, happy holidays to you and those you love on this faithful holiday season.
SPEAKER_01A good night.
