Estela and I (Barbara) are sister in laws who share a major love for true crime and coffee, as many other people! We thought to ourselves “Why not just record our crime talks while drinking coffee?!” so here we are. We hope you enjoy this lighthearted podcast and bear with us while we iron out some details. Thank you and gracias! Barbara and Estela.
Cafecito & Crime
Episode 156. The Tragic Murder of Arlis Perry
In the fall of 1974, 19-year-old Arlis Perry moved to California with her new husband, Bruce Perry, where he was attending Standard University. A few weeks later, on the night of October 12, the couple argued, prompting Arlis to go to nearby Stanford Memorial Church to pray. When she didn't come home, Bruce contacted the police, and she was later found brutally murdered inside the church. It took many decades to finally identify her killer, and while that was accomplished, he was never brought to justice. Join us for today's case to find out what happened to Arlis. So grab your cafecito, and let's get started.
