camilla the momzilla
hey y'all. my name is Camilla and i am the face of MOMZILLA. I am a mom of 3 beautiful children, the wife of a plumber with some musical talent you could say, a wedding and birth videographer, a family photographer, and a mom who has struggled with post partum depression and anxiety. I started this podcast with the intention of bringing all moms together, sharing our stories, bc we all have them, and really helping moms not feel alone. Over the last 5 years of motherhood, I have embarked on a journey of transparency, vulnerability, optimizing mental and physical health, and setting up my self and my children for a healthy, successful future. I am also a Christian who is completely thankful for my Lord and Savior and striving to be more comfortable with talking about my faith with others but I am no where near perfect, just yearning to be the best person, mother, wife, daughter, and friend I can be. I would be honored to have you come on this journey of motherhood with me as I learn new things from every guest appearance, have conversations that you may or may not normally have, and learning the best ways to eliminate toxins in our every day lives whether in our home or what we put into our bodies. I know these topics can be intimidating. BUT we can do this together. We will take this day by day, step by step, one thing at a time and if you are a mom or a future mom looking to do the same, then this is the podcast for you. Welcome to season 2 of Camilla the MOMZILLA.

ELLEN | PELVIC FLOOR THERAPY
My pelvic floor therapist's website says it best; “there is a good chance that you have already been told that pelvic floor issues are “normal,” “part of getting older” or “just how your body is after childbirth.” We are here to tell you that there is help and hope. At Moses & Johnson (MOJO) Therapy Associates, we treat the issues that are talked about the least but often impact our daily lives the most.”
I have the wonderful and beautiful Ellen, a PFT and new mommy, on to talk all about pelvic floor, who is it for (aka everyone), what areas of life it can help you with such as fertility, pregnancy, post partum, sexual intercourse, PAIN, etc. We dive into many things, like our own stories + how specifically it has helped us, all the muscles in your pelvic floor, Ellen talks about the benefits of dry needling, we talk about potty training, why it hurts to have sex and what we can do to fix that, ending period cramps, pros and cons of kegels, how PFT is more than helping with the physical stuff…mental health too. Pelvic floor issues are common, not normal, and it's time we all know about it, it's time we give people in pain hope, it's time to change these certain hardships we face.
I truly cannot thank Ellen enough for coming on and sharing the important things about PFT. We both believe it should be a requirement after delivery and Ellen shares a little about how MOJO’s research could help make that a possibility. BIG DEAL. I can’t wait to have Ellen back and possibly some other PFTs to come on and share more about this.
