We know you are suffering
This… dread… this electric unease you feel
Arises from the depths of your physical body
As your body arose from the dust of the earth
As the earth… from the fires of eternity
It is… natural…
But it is not inevitable
Nor is it suggestive of a defect
You are not broken
There is nothing to fix
You do not have a fatal flaw
On the contrary,
You are deeply connected to this life
You have… the eyes of a prophet
You fear for humanity
You have… the soul of a poet
You understand pain in clear & vivid terms
You have… the heart of a warrior
You desire the action of a worthy fight
You have… the hands of a healer
You long to mend the wounds of the world
But first, my dear physician, you must heal thyself.

For this moment is an eternal moment

In this three-dimensional existence,

Now find the horizontal shapes

The mantle above the fire
Outside… see the tree line, a row of clouds,
Or if you’re far enough away…
Mother nature’s horizon itself
The last dimension we will notice now… is depth
Diagonals and distances and vanishing points…
Delight your inner artist
See them now
Marvel at the focus shifts of your eyes
From an object near, to an object far
And back again…
Focal fluctuations and Pulls of perception
The envy of even the most sophisticated of cinema cameras
Your life, here and now, is… as… a movie
An immersive experience, to be sure
But only a flicker of light and imagination
A magic trick to fool the senses
A confluence of innumerable events
Plotted long ago by the great director
Conspired to bring you to this scene, now
Where you find yourself troubled
Facing another challenge
Another obstacle to overcome
But, dear one, you know how the story ends
It is not a tragedy, nor a comedy
Nor romance, nor farce
It is a coming-of-age tale
Of a soul of infinite potential,
A spark of the divine flame,
Burning brightly for a time on this earth,
Alighting others into consciousness,
And then… flickering out
Into a sacred, celestial darkness
To become one with the great soul
To become one with all the stars and all the galaxies
To become… light itself… universal consciousness
Knowing all there is
Knowing the eternal essence of each moment
Knowing no pain or suffering
Knowing only love
Love beyond all earthly conception

You are that love now
You are universal consciousness… presently
You are here on this earth
