Aloha and welcome to the sobriety rocks podcast, I’m your host, Kirk Waterman. Today we talk about Pushing Your Boundaries to the Limit!

Lu Wei said, “Positive energy knows no boundaries. If everyone were to spread positive energy, the world would be a much better place.”

When I was a kid, I pushed the boundaries of life to the max. But somewhere along the line, fear crept in, and I slowly stopped pushing my life to the edge of wonder.

Then, for a time, drugs and alcohol removed my fear and allowed me to push life to the limit again. But as my addictions grew, I began to either push way past the limit, or not even bother going for it.

Then, in the blink of an eye, I was brought to the rooms of recovery. Here I met people who had been just like me, but had found their stride, and were once again pushing past the imaginary boundaries they had established for themselves.

I was hesitant at first, but once I jumped all in, I too, slowly began to push past the boundaries I had established in my addiction. As I got healthier, unnecessary boundaries disappeared, I walked through irrational fears, pushed past my self-imposed limitations, and built a wonderful life.

All these years later I see that pushing the boundaries of my life is an act of self-growth and personal development. Sure, it involves taking risks, trying new things, and stepping out of my comfort zone. But, when I push my own boundaries, I challenge myself to be better, do better, and live better.

Wherever you are on your path, I hope you’re pushing the boundaries of life. If you’re not, join us. We’ll help you push life to the limit, so you too can make your dreams come true.

Today we close with a meditation for strength. So please, get comfortable, close your eyes, take a few slow, deep breaths, and join me.
