The story follows Rana, a detective in deep denial after the death of her husband, who finds herself pulled into a dangerous new partnership between her precinct and a tech company testing groundbreaking neuroscience. The idea behind The Mantis Project is chilling: after a person dies, there is still electrical activity in the human brain for an average of 36 hours. What starts as an ethical dilemma quickly becomes personal as Rana sees it as her only chance to finally catch the killer she has been hunting for over a decade.
