Workplace Learning with Dipanwita Das of Sorcero
Show Notes Chapter Markers

Our second podcast is a conversation with Dipanwita Das of Sorcero—an innovative company that brings the power of AI to workforce learning. As the Future of Work unfolds, we change jobs more often and need to bring ourselves quickly up to speed. Companies, in turn, need better ways to share knowledge across a faster-changing workforce. Sorcero uses AI to make knowledge-sharing within an organization a lot faster and more efficient, to get workers quick access to the right answers.

Sorcero also has a bigger long-term vision: to help us acquire new skills and build up our human capital throughout our careers. Traditional education and training models struggle to cope with the faster pace of technology disruption in the economy. Could AI help us assess our current set of skills and knowledge, identify what new skills we need and help us to acquire them? The team at Sorcero—taking its inspiration from Sci-Fi—thinks the answer is yes. Listen to the episode to find out.

This was an especially fun conversation, with references to SciFi and recorded from Dipanwita's D&D dungeon master's cave. AI/ML fans will learn, anyone who's had a training experience (good or bad) will be excited, but SciFi fans may be delighted.

Last note - we are trying out an alternative format this time - our discussion about the implications of Sorcero are at the end of the episode, kind of a part two, as opposed to on our M4Edge.com website. There are other interesting bits on the website, especially in our "off the edge" section, so please check it out. Let us know what you think about this format, the episode and your views on Sorcero.

Happy listening!
