It is my pleasure today to introduce two extremely talented and entraprenurial seniors at Bainbridge High School who are producing an event we’ll host here at The Historic Lynwood Theatre. Gigi Hendrickson and Maddy Brown on May 13th will present their annual fund-raiser for the University of Global Health Equity, a humanitarian group dedicated to improving the lives of this year’s beneficiary, the people of Rwanda.
Along the way we talk about their backgrounds, the inspiration for their work and the elements that go into the production of a fashion show. No easy chore. The CELEBRATION OF EDUCTION fashion show will take place on Saturday, May13 at 2pm on the stage, and indeed in the entire facility at the HLT. Concessions will be available as part of the effort to reach their goad of raising $10,000 over the course of the event, as well as a raffle and all the wearable art one can view without a frame or in a museum. The models this year will be a combination of BIHS students and faculty, male and female, what they are calling teachers on the runway. I, for one, am very much looking forward to watching their creative efforts unfold.
