Lots of ground to cover today, but let’s be happy and celebrate the lovely change of weather with a free ticket giveaway, shall we?
Jerry Garcia’s titular masterful solo album of 1971, contained a sublime tune titled Bird Song. For a pair of free tickets to the good old HLT, to whom did that tune refer?

Feature briefs:
LOVE AGAIN. A young woman tries to cope with the trauma of her fiance’s death by sending texts to his old cell phone number and finds a connection with the man the number has been reassigned to. Stars Privanka Chopra-Jones, San Heughan and Celine Dion. Runs 104 minutes and is rated PG13 for reasons beyond my understanding. Maybe it’s Dion’s doin’, dunno.
ABOUT MY FATHER. When Sebastian tells his old-school Italian immigrant father Salvo that he plans on proposing to his all-American GF, Salvo insists on crashing a weekend with her tony* parents. From Lion’s Gate films, runs an hour and a half exactly, directed by Laura Terruso, stars Sebastian Maniscalco. Leslie Bibb and Kim Cattrall. Oh yeah, and Robert Di Nero. Bells ringing?
*Free ticket trivia number two: Up until today I have never used the adjective “tony” in any of the several thousand essays, stories, scripts, songs or business letters I have written. Not once. I have never even considered using it. It rings a seriously false tone in the way I “hear” words as I write them. Her tony parents? Spell check even auto corrects it to the proper noun usage with a capitol T. Anyway, here is the question: Name me the popular 60’s black and white TV sitcom that featured Tony Dow. You can call, e-mail, post to FB, or visit us with your answers. Offers expire on New Year’s Eve and Christmas Day, respectively.

**The Meet Up with The Dead is the June 22, 1991 show from Soldier Field in Chicago. This phenomenal concert features the latter-day lineup with Vince Welnick and Bruce Hornsby on keys. Running time is 3 hours + and will be a spectacle. I have ordered some special swag that will be on-sale for both shows with other food and drink specials to enhance the experience of watching the boys from 1991. Please tell your Deadhead (or Phish) friends, no matter the day, week or month (me: 8.31.70) they became fully indoctrinated into this incredible slice of iconic American rock and roll history, about these dates. If we fail on this one, we might not get another chance.
All for today folks. Thanks as always for
