That is the schedule, them’s the facts, the meat and potatoes. Anything past that is gravy. In other words, once the main course has been devoured, we make our way to the real fun, the desert! I will humbly make the first toast today and invite you all to join us in the celebration of….Oppie. So here’s to Oppeheimer! Salute. If space and time permitted, we might end up hoisting our glasses for several rounds, spanning days, singing of its superlatives and accolades. We might even employ an adverb or two for emphasis. It is THAT good. You will have to listen to the ‘cast to learn what Brian Truitt of USA Today had to say about it (speaking of adverbs). I'll steer you to the audio adjunct because I now want to share with you (prep the superlatives) the most interesting bit of local trivial possible. But first the backstory.

You all should know by now that I take great delight, bordering on the obsessive, to find connections between our features and our lovely coordinates on the planet. You know, between Hollywood and The Island. And there are many. Several of whom have appeared on the extended podcasts. The inside joke here is that I was was asked last week what the connection with Oppenheimer and BI is and I brazenly commented to the regular who inquired that it was none other than me. Myself. Weakly owing to the fact that in my (copyright protected and filed in the Library of Congress) screenplay, Once an Enemy, also features several characters, sites, scenes and even conversations as does Mr. Nolan’s. That was the loose connection until now.

Because, in the most enjoyable and comical way I was informed yesterday that my understanding of the pipeline connectivity, was rusty, eroded and altogether broken. WHY? Well, how's this:: Did you know that the actor who plays J. Robert Oppenheimer’s brother Frank (a prominent role) grew up on Bainbridge Island and actually starred in the BPA’s production of the Wizard of Oz and The Secret Garden? No? Then let me introduce you to Dylan Arnold. If you find that as amazing as I do, just raise your hand. Further, if anyone knows him, or his current whereabouts (most likely LA) please send along contact info so I can invite him to be a guest on our podcast and talk about this magical Point A to Point B circumstance. Please.

All for today folks. Whew! Come see this movie. And Dylan play Frank. A free popcorn to anyone who brings this up while purchasing tickets.

See you at the HLT. It’s Magic Man.
