Just when you thought we were done with the good, it goes to great, from red hot to white hot, from improbable to impossible. DUNE after OPPENHEIMER AND KILLER MOON? I’ll say it again, WHAT A LINEUP. And please check out that Saturday night at the ol’ ballpark (theatre). DUNE 2021 for two matinees, Josh Anderson’s pair of extreme ski shorts - followed by a Q&A with Josh & Co afterwards, and another BAINBRIDGE ISLAND FILM FESTIVAL screening of THE SWEET EAST, with introduction and Q&A with BIFF Show runner Charles Poekel immediately after the credit roll. And the hits just keep a comin’ because the following week we launch another stack of sweet takes with the OSCAR NOMINATED SHORTS, and, ZONE OF INTEREST. I humbly ask you what else can we do?
If you answer, you can get DUNE 2 on March 1, I will respond with a hearty I’m working on it. Which is 100% accurate and the absolute truth. Should you desire to verify this bold statement please feel free to contact the brass at FAE, I will even give you their phone numbers, because, as you guessed, this is a campaign, and I need your vote to make it happen. Further, nothing, NOTHING beats a steady stream of phone inquiries asking the same question about a film that might, or might NOT, be playing at your favorite downtown Lynwood one-screen, 88 year old, wood floor theatre. RIGHT? Here are the three that hold the keys (you can even call at night or on the weekends so you don’t have to actually talk TO them, but AT them) through the modern technological marvel known as the answering machine. I’ll even provide you with the script. Upon demand. 206.780.0766.
* Special one-day screening with filmmaker and guests for Q & A
** Second Saturday from BIFF. Intro by Charles Poekel.
All for today, see ya at the HLT,
Kevin
