* I do not have confirmation on June 27. Meaning, that depending on how Chuck does over the weekend - I am writing this on Saturday morning - we have three options: 1) Keep it another week and hope that word of mouth travels with God Speed, 2) End LoC and start MATERIALISTS, or 3) Stack them. Stacking is playing both films on the same day, one as a matinee and the other in prime time. A fourth option actually exists, but has 99% odds against happening. That would be disappearing both and try something completely new. My preference here - and I just sent a note to our booking agent asking for the studios permission to do so - is option #3. I will know Monday. For the sake of this podcast I am going to play like number 3 will get a green light. But before the commentary….. Big, Huge, Massive congrats to Jonny Levi and Steve Stole for their courageous documentary filmmaking and hosting of their films over the weekend. Jonny’s LATTER DAY GLORY and Steve’s ANOTHER MAN’S TREASURE were well crafted well-received. Thanks and congrats to them and to you who shared both story telling adventures. 

LIFE of CHUCK. Taken almost verbatim from the Steven King Novella, Mike Flanagan has walked this one off like a Grand Salami from Cal Raleigh. And if you are wondering about my top ten dancing movies (films with a dazzling soft-shoe scene) I am out of space here, but I channel Ray Fosse in the audio ‘cast. What are yours? I truly hope that we get the eyeballs to keep this gem for another seven days.

RAINIER: A BEER ODYSEEY screens again (the first was on NYE) on Tuesday, July 1 @ 7. Two hours of frothy advertising genius shot from 1974 - 2022. The golden age of Seattle’s Rainier Beeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrr. Tix o/s now. Better get 6.

GO FUND ME. The campaign is officially under way. The video snipe is up and running, the brochures are folded and the site ready for your participation. This is a fund-raiser where your donation of 1K secures your place in HLT history. You buy the seat, we do the install that includes your name plate on the seat-back. We are limiting the number to 200 because I want to open up some space near the stage for a dance floor/mosh pit. Won’t that be hip? 

Lastly today, we have also launched the promo campaign for our Fall Music Series. Here is the link for tickets for the first act, LAUREL CANYON LEGACY, on Aug 30.
