HLT#156 - RACHEL, SIENNA, LAURA & DAVID ATTENBOROUGH

Kevin Lynch Season 4 Episode 156

My illustrious guests today, Rachel Noll James, Sienna Beckman and Laura Francis have assembled a magnificent multi-media event that will entertain and inform anyone who has ever wondered just how important our oceans, rivers and seas are to our literal existence. Rachel and Sienna are, of course, the driving force behind the success of Emergence Films and Laura has spent her career in Oceanography, having most recently created Sea Forward, supporting innovative and effective solutions in the ocean space with a focus on sustainable aquaculture, science-based monitoring tools, circular economy, biodiversity, climate, and regenerative nature-based solutions. This impressive trio stopped over at the HLT yesterday to share the many details on their collaboration with Sir David Attenborough and his latest, and sadly, last, epic documentary, OCEAN. Here is a sneak preview of the event:

THURSDAY, SEPT 11

5pm - Ocean Pavilion at The Marketplace. Ocean themed food and drinks, exhibits by local oceaneographic businesses, and live music from the incomparable Steve Hall.
7pm -  FREE screening of David Attenborough’s final doc OCEAN.
8:40pm -  Panel Discussion and Q&A with Rachel, Sienna and Laura as well as Marine Blue founder Joshua Berger and Becky Peabody founder of Puget Sound Restoration Fund

RSVP is recommended at Eventbrite to insure your seat as this one will be packed for the free screening. For additional information call the Historic Lynwood Theatre hotline at 206.451.4336.

See you here on the 11th!

Kevin
