COMMENTARY. A round of applause for all your community support for our specials last week, OCEAN, presented by EMERGENCE FILMS, was a fanny or two away from a sell out and Friday night’s LIVE COMEDY, offered some much needed hilarity. As a direct result of the robust head-counts both are now quarterly specials, with the next EMERGENCE FILMS special, BREAKING WAVES, on Oct 16, and LIVE COMEDY on Dec 5. Yesterday’s WE THE PEOPLE RIDE might have been the most dramatically poignant and powerful event in my tenure. Please check it out here and get involved with the solution now! Hoo-rah!
DOWNTON ABBEY. Basking in the glory of six successful seasons and a pair of episodic features, DA, actually Highclere Castle in Newbury, roughly 100K west of London, remains staggeringly popular. It’s weekend debut here was excellent and everyone seemed pleased with the plight of the Crowleys. I will simply say that it is not my cup of Earl Grey, and all the lumps in Oxford can’t sweeten my distaste for “Royalty”. Over egg the pudding, if you ask me.
FRANCIS NASH. The legendary Island rockers, Minor, Dave and Mike, take it to 11 with an explosive set crafted on blues based Rock ’n Roll. Put on your dancing’ shoes and join together with the band, and at the outrageous price of only $20. Tix here.
GIRL CLIMBER. Equal parts gripping survival story and intimate portrait, GIRL CLIMBER isn't just about breaking records, it's about breaking barriers. Emily Harrington starts in this rock-solid (9.5 at IMDB) afternoon feature. Convince your friends to join you and come be inspired.
ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER. Paul Thomas Anderson takes no cinematic prisoners. Punch Drunk on Boogie Nights There Will be Blood on your Licorice Pizza. We’ve been running the trailer for a couple of weeks, and from that alone I can tell you, that this IS my cup of tea. Viva la revolution!
OTHER SIDE. A terminally ill woman's groundbreaking legal battle opens doors for out-of-state residents seeking Vermont's medical aid in dying, as she navigates her own end-of-life journey. With guest speakers for Q&A.
All for today folks, thanks again for your support. It is no slight cliche to say that we couldn’t do this without you.
Ciao,
Kevin
