Our guest today is DRUMMER and the Executive Director of the KIRKLAND PERFORMING ARTS CENTER, Jeff Lockhart. And also please allow me to expound on the total time, energy and phychological commitment necessary to excel at each of these full time positions. Simultaneously. It’s like having to work two FT jobs, with the possible exception being that one is designed to be a creative endeavor for fun and the other a most serious responsibility for commerce. Mixing the two can be a challenge. With that as intro, I do need to apologize for the sound of this cast with the rather lame excuse that we had a less-than-perfect wi-fi signal that I didn’t find out about until we had finished. So it is heavily compressed and augmented with several EQ effects. But I think Jeff’s comments and opinions are more than worthy of a listen. Especially, this gem:

With that as a juicy lede, let’s segue into the promotional segment of the ‘cast and provide the primary task with this announcement on the event:

We are also, in conjunction with the event, staging a raffle for, natch, fresh, factory sealed vinyl copies of ABBEY ROAD & DARK SIDE OF THE MOON. Made possible by Raymond and Luke over at BACKSTREET BEAT who donated said rare vinyl to the HLT cause! These classic LPs are on display on the grand piano in the lobby with tickets at $5/ea. We will raffle them off at halftime of the big event of May 22. A special few VIP tickets are available only by calling 206.451.4336. These are our equivalent of Back-Stage Passes at the Gorge, or the KPC!
