DISCLOSURE DAY
The Maguffin is the Message. For the faithful that continue to follow the facts, the science, the logic and the universal physics that overwhelmingly point to the presence of other intelligent life forms, yes, among us, as in ‘we are not alone’, DISCLOSURE DAY might seem conspiratorially more Indy Jones, than ET. Obeying in advance the propaganda of a government led by power-hungry villains who would do anything to keep you separated from the truth, is tantamount to social treason. It is our fight. We have the obligation to demand by whatever means necessary, just one thing, be it objective, normative, subjective, and however complex, we demand the truth. Transparent, warts and all. From the DD opening sequence to the ultimate reveal, SS takes us on a wild and raucous, electrifying and heroic chase for the answer we all know is out there. DD is a pure thriller wrapped upped up with Spielbergian drama, pathos, humanity, empathy and humor. It is a wild ride that builds to a finale that I could watch a hundred times back to back. You have an obligation to yourself to see the final chapter of this 40-year cinematic quest. Do not hear the critics, listen to your heart. It will save you and maybe us all.

Wow. That is a ferry-boat load of special event programming, dontcha think? Please get your tickets early to insure your place for these special curated community experiences. And speaking of community experiences, BIG THANKS to everyone who came out for the opening of DISCLOSURE DAY, with Oscar winning Sound Designer and Islander GARY RYDSTROM last Thursday night. From my perspective, it was super validating to see the local artisans, filmmakers, editors, actors and cinema fans in general combine for a lively exchange of questions and their eloquent answers from Gary. Sharing the experience of watching Spielberg’s latest epic and then learning about its production (especially post) is the literal definition of why we do what we do. You want more of that? Please see the above SPECIAL EVENTS calendar. And get involved.
Should you have an idea, a special event concept, something experimental, something fun, or even something dangerous, call, email, or stop by to discuss. My favorite conversational opening is, “How ‘bout this?” You can e me at Kevin@Farawayentertainment.com or leave a message at 206.451.4336. Should you feel as I do about the state of the state, have a strong opinion about DISCLOSURE DAY, want to share some love for your favorite local filmmaker, or desire an answer to that burning question about building alien languages in post, fire away. Use the FB link provided at the bottom and let’s rev up the community discourse. You talk and I will listen. No spoiler there.
Ciao,
Kevin
