STEVE STOLEE is an Island Treasure. Literally and figuratively. His 2017 film ANOTHER MAN'S TREASURE documents the incredible story of our own ROTARY AUCTION. Since 1960 the ROTARY event has been a cultural, social and community experience that has raised millions of dollars, all returned to the community in the form of grants. A win/win if ever there was. Steve goes so far as to make the claim that it is the 'Biggest Rummage Sale in the World'. In our combined hubris we offer a cash and popcorn bounty to anyone, anywhere who can claim (and document) otherwise. As Steve says, 'Prove us wrong.'
ANOTHER MAN'S TREASURE screens twice in the run-up to this years ROTARY event, once on SUNDAY, JULY 5 @ Noon and again on MONDAY, JULY 6 @ 4:30. Your deeply discounted and value-added tickets can be digitally unearthed here. And of course Steve will be with us for both screenings to intro and host a Q&A afterwards.
