The VO Median is a podcast created by Xavier Torres, a former five diamond butler, turned digital marketing enthusiast and now aspiring bilingual voice talent.
Xavier’s motivation is driven in great part not only to help, educate and inspire others looking for a career change into the business, craft and industry of voiceover, but also as means to keep himself accountable by showing up and telling his side of the story from his perspective at the median part of his life.
Initially a solo project, Xavier hopes to expand the show into regular interview episodes where both English and Spanish voice artists and voiceover entrepreneurs are all welcome to share their own experiences for the benefit of beginner and veteran voice artists alike.

Think of a sailboat in the middle of the ocean. The compass keeps its course right and true. Until a powerful storm appears on the horizon. It's a big storm, no doubt. But the able captain knows that by adding the slightest change of direction on his navigating charts, he can stay clear of that storm and others to come.
It’s those small (even apparently meaningless) changes that can make all the difference.
In this episode, Xavier shares how one very unassuming change of one word impacted his life, setting a series of events that lead him to eventually leave the hospitality industry and begin his journey as an aspiring digital entrepreneur, and now certified voice talent.
