The VO Median is a podcast created by Xavier Torres, a former five diamond butler, turned digital marketing enthusiast and now aspiring bilingual voice talent.
Xavier’s motivation is driven in great part not only to help, educate and inspire others looking for a career change into the business, craft and industry of voiceover, but also as means to keep himself accountable by showing up and telling his side of the story from his perspective at the median part of his life.
Initially a solo project, Xavier hopes to expand the show into regular interview episodes where both English and Spanish voice artists and voiceover entrepreneurs are all welcome to share their own experiences for the benefit of beginner and veteran voice artists alike.

Hey there, fellow aspiring voice artists and TVOM enthusiasts! It's your slightly weathered guide, Xavier Torres, back in the saddle again with another installment of The VO Median: A Midlifer's Journey Into The Craft Of Voiceover. Six months of radio silence and here we are, dusting off the cobwebs, shaking off the rust, and resurrecting this little podcast from its unintended hiatus. It's been a hot minute since we last spoke, hasn't it?
This episode is a bit different, for sure. To begin with, and for the first time, you will notice I am adressing you personally here in the description. And let me tell you, folks, there is rhyme and reason for that. You see, this one's a bit of a landmark moment for me: Episode 30 is here!!
I tried to kick things back into gear with a grand, inspirational comeback episode - you know, personal introspections, confessions aplenty, even threw in some uplifting background music for good measure. But guess what? It just didn't sit right. It felt like I was trying to be someone I'm not, some sort of motivational guru. Nope, that's just not my style.
So, I hit the reset button. Scrap the script, toss out the inspirational quotes, and let's get real for a moment. This episode is all about raw, unfiltered authenticity. It's just me, Xavier Torres, laying it all out on the table. I'm diving into why I took that extended siesta, the hurdles I faced, and why I'm here dusting off the mic once again.
