Called the ultimate “mob lawyer”, Mathew J. Mari has almost five decades on the front lines of courtroom battles and been a witness to history from his early days growing up on Mulberry Street and Knickerbocker Village on the Lower East Side of Manhattan to the present day. He was chief counsel in the first federal death penalty case (United States v. Pitera) tried in New York State and has extensive experience in federal RICO and conspiracy cases as well as in major state and federal narcotics cases. He has represented clients in famous cases such as “The Commission Case”, “The Bensonhurst Case,” and “The Wells Fargo Case”.
