TSF Is Back! The Storied Future Podcast Season 2

Chris Hare Season 2 Episode 0

The Storied Future Podcast gives high-performing CEOs a front-row seat to candid conversations with leaders who have put new narratives out into the world, and then used those narratives to shift the future.

If you want to create a future where you’re not only proud of what you’ve accomplished, but of how you accomplished it, how it changed you, and who you took with you, host Chris Hare and his guests will provide the insights and inspiration you need to get there.

Guests include Whitney Johnson, CEO of Disruption Advisors; Jim Citrin, Head of the CEO Practice at Spencer Stuart; Pete Sauerborn, Executive Chair of FTD; and Aaron Mitchell, architect of Netflix's 2% cash commitment to Black banks.

Chris Hare [00:00]:
Hi. I’m Chris Hare, and I want to invite you to check out Season 2 of The Storied Future Podcast. I started this show last year because I wanted to talk to leaders who had put narratives out into the world and then used those narratives to shift the future of their businesses. That’s exactly what happened, but what I could not have planned for was that leaders didn’t just want to talk about business transformation; they wanted to talk about personal transformation.

Heather Dowdy [00:25]:
And that's really the shift that has to take place in order for us to have change.

Bracken Darrell [00:31]:
You’re free of that past. It's gone, it's over. It disappeared behind you…You can only own what's now and into the future.

Chris Hare [00:38]:
My goal was to inspire change in others, but these stories and these extraordinary leaders? They changed me.

Whitney Johnson [00:45]:
The price of your new self is your old self, because you believe in that future self, that center of gravity that's going to pull you to who you want to be and who you, who you can be.

Chris Hare [00:54]:
This season, I’m embracing my new trajectory focused solely on serving CEOs by sharing insights and stories from their peers, from experts, and from changemakers, that they can use to transform themselves, their companies, and their industries.

Art delaCruz [01:09]:
One engine stalls. The second engine stalls… We hit the minimum altitude and we eject.

Chris Hare [01:14]:
Of course, you can be a highly effective leader without becoming a better human. But if you want to get to the finish line of your career and be proud, not only of what you’ve built, but of how you’ve built it, and who you’ve become in the process, I think you’ll find a lot of value in this show.

Mark Stouse [01:30]:
Chris knows how to ask questions that reveal answers. That is probably one of the most valuable skills in the world today.

Pete Sauerborn [01:40]:
That's what makes us human: to be able to envision a future that's different, put it into words, and share it.

Chris Hare [01:47]:
I hope you find these conversations as engaging and helpful as I have. Because the stories we tell have the power to transform us and the people who hear them.
