TisTalk Tisbury – What’s On

On Tuesday 16th, there is the TISBURY PARISH COUNCIL ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE MEETING in the Parish Reading Room at 6pm. 

This will be followed by the TISBURY PARISH COUNCIL MEETING at 7pm, at which the TPC 2024/25 budget and precept will be approved. All are welcome at both meetings.

 

On Wednesday 17th, the POP-UP CAFE is in the Hinton Hall from 10am - 12 noon, for a fun morning of tabletop games, conversation and home-made cake! 

 

Then, at 1:30pm the TISBUS OUTING is to the Victoria Hall to see the film ‘Finding your Feet’ starring Imelda Staunton, Celia Imrie and Timothy Spall. The film will be followed by afternoon tea. Tickets are £5. To book a space call 07500 802525.

 

In the evening, the HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY is holding a talk entitled ‘Your Seasonal Garden’ given by the team from Castle Gardens, Sherborne. This is in the Methodist Hall at 7pm for 7:30pm. Society membership is not needed, all are welcome.

 

 

On Saturday 20th, there is the COMMUNITEA CAFÉ BREAKFAST in the Methodist Church from 9:30 – 12 noon.

And the TISBURY COUNTRY MARKET will be in the Victoria Hall from 10-11am. This is the one market they are holding during January. From February, it will revert to the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month. 

 

 

On Sunday 21st, Seventh Arts are showing the FILM ‘Cezanne – A Portrait of Life’ in the Victoria Hall at 6:30pm for 7pm. This is a revealing film about a man dubbed ‘the father of us all’ by Matisse and Picasso. Tickets are £10.

 

And showing at MESSUMS is Eugenie Vronskaya’s EXHIBITION ‘Between the Seen and the Imagined’. For more information on this exhibition, visit the Messum’s website.
