TisTalk – What’s on

W/C 25th March 2024

This week, in the lead up to Easter, there is a good range of activities going on in Tisbury

 

On Tuesday the CARER CAFE is in Beatons Tearooms from 10:30am-12 noon. This is a relaxed, friendly gathering for chats, cake and a cuppa for anyone interested in popping along. 

In the evening, the TISBURY FLOWER GROUP is in the Hinton Hall at 7pm. Guest speaker Nick Gilbert from Gilbert’s Nursery in Sherfield English will be discussing the ‘Gilbert’s Dahlia Year’. Nick will also bring along some tubers that will be available to buy.

Also on Tuesday, Fonthill Park Cricket Club have WINTER NET PRACTICE at the Nadder Centre from 7:30 to 9pm. 

And as it’s the last Tuesday of the month, there will be GREEN DRINKS in The Boot Inn from 7:30pm and all are welcome.

 

On Wednesday, there is the POP-UP CAFÉ in the Hinton Hall from10am-12 noon

And TIS-TOTS are in the Methodist Hall from 10-11:30am

At Summerleaze, on Wednesday, the WORKSHOPS FOR ARTISTS are focusing on Monoprinting. For more information visit: www.josephinec.co.uk

 

On Thursday, Young Nature Watch are Star Gazing in Dinton Park at 7:45pm. Steve Tonkin, an expert in astronomy from Cranborne Chase National Landscape will be joining them.

 

On Easter Saturday, the Tisbury Gardening Club are holding its SPRING FLOWER SHOW in the Victoria Hall at 2:30pm.  There will be plenty of daffodils, large and small narcissi, and many other resplendent spring flowers on show.

Also on Saturday and again on Easter Sunday, the Tisbury Bowls and Croquet Club is holding 2 OPEN DAYS, with an invitation to try Croquet. Everything is provided, just turn up in flat shoes! They are located at the far end of Tisbury Football Club pitch and will be running from 11am to 3pm.

And on Easter Sunday afternoon, there is a showing of the ROH, MADAM BUTTERFLY in the Victoria Hall at 4:30 for 5pm. Tickets are £15 for adults and £8 for under 18s.
