Words From The Word Of God
A topical, and expositional study from the Word of God, in order to Glorify and Exalt our Great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; that we may reach the world with the Gospel, and grow in the Grace and knowledge of Him.. Grace and Peace to all, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.(Isaiah 52:7) "How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!"(Isaiah 55 10-11) 10) "For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:"11) "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."(John 3:16)“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”(John 14:1-7) 1)"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me."2)"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you."3)"And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."4)And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know."5)"Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?"6)"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."7)"If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him."(Romans 10 :9-10;13) 9)"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."10)"For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."13)"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

The Voice in the Wilderness: John the Baptist's Mission
John the Baptist emerges from the wilderness with a mission that transcends time—to prepare the way for Jesus Christ, the true King from glory. His powerful call to repentance wasn't merely an ancient message but a spiritual gateway that remains essential for every heart seeking transformation today.
The prophecies concerning John, spoken through Isaiah nearly 700 years before his birth, reveal God's perfect redemptive plan unfolding at the precise divine moment. All four gospel writers highlight this prophecy of "the voice crying in the wilderness," underscoring its central importance to understanding Christ's ministry and our approach to Him.
What makes John's ministry extraordinary isn't self-promotion but his unwavering focus on pointing others to Jesus. His iconic declaration—"Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world"—captures the essence of his purpose: to direct all attention to the Savior. When we consider that scholars estimate over a million people came to hear John's message without the benefit of modern communication tools, the power of his God-appointed mission becomes even more remarkable.
The concept of repentance lies at the heart of John's message. More than regret or sorrow, true repentance represents a complete turning away from sin and toward God—a clearing of the spiritual field of our hearts so the seeds of the gospel can take root and flourish. This transformation begins internally but manifests outwardly through changed actions.
For believers today, John's example challenges us to examine whether our lives effectively point others to Christ. Do our actions align with our words? Are there areas in our hearts that remain unsurrendered? Just as John prepared the way for Jesus in his time, we're called to prepare the way in our own hearts and in the lives of those around us.
Have you responded to this timeless invitation to turn to the true King? Whether taking your first step toward Christ or recommitting areas of your life to Him, John's mission continues to echo across the centuries, beckoning us to make room for the transformative power of Jesus in our hearts.
John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
If you haven't received Jesus Christ by Faith, as your personal Lord and Savior; I strongly encourage you to do so before it is eternally too late!!!

Hello and welcome to this another edition of Words from the Word of God. Thank you all so much for joining us today as we join together again to look into the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 3. In the last broadcast we looked at the first 12 verses, which we will look at those verses again today. Beginning in the last episode, we looked at John the Baptist and his message repent, ye, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand, and speaking about the true king, the one that would come after him, that was mightier than he, who would baptize with the Holy Spirit and would fire and repenting and preparing their hearts for the one who was coming, jesus Christ. But now we must look at his mission, and that was to point everyone, everyone then and here over 2,000 years later, to the one who was coming after him, the one that did come after him, the one that has come and died on Calvary's cross, the one that baptizes all the hearts of humanity with the Holy Spirit or with fire, and his name is Jesus Christ, the true king from glory. If you will begin to read with me here in the gospel of Matthew now, I want you to understand something we're going to kind of step outside the gospel of Matthew into some other scriptures today, allowing the word of God to build upon the word of God and support the word of God. I've always said scripture supports scripture and we must look at scripture to build the message. We cannot build it any other way, making sure that we stay upon the foundation of Jesus Christ and the word of God.
Speaker 1:So if you will begin reading with me here in Gospel of Matthew, chapter 3, again in verse 1, it says in those days came John the Baptist preaching in the wilderness of Judea and saying repent ye, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Then with verse 3, here he says I want you to pay particular attention. Here he says For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying the voice of one crying in the wilderness Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his path straight, his mission. The voice of one crying in the wilderness you, the way of the lord, make his path straight. And the same john had his raiment of camel's hair and a leather girdle about his loins and he, his meat was locust and wild honey then went out to him jerusalem, that's the whole body of the people of jerusalem and all judea and all the region round about the Jordan that's the Jordan River in context, is what the scripture is speaking of here, verse 6, and were baptized of him in the Jordan, confessing their sins.
Speaker 1:But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them O generation of vipers, who have warned you to flee from the wrath to come, bring forth, therefore, fruits, meat for repentance, and think not to say within yourselves we have Abraham to our father. For I say unto you that God is able, of these stones, to raise up children unto abraham. And now also, the axe is laid unto the root of the trees. Therefore, every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hung down and cast into the fire. And again, his mission is right here to me, defined here in verse 11 and verse 3. He says I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but he, he that cometh after me, is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear. He shall baptize you with holy, with the holy ghost, and with fire, whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly perch his floor and gather his wheat into the garner, but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. If you will look back with me in verse 3.
Speaker 1:This is a reference to Isaiah, as he says right there, matthew writing. He says For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah. This is Isaiah's Hebrew name in the Greek pronunciation Isaiah saying in the Greek pronunciation, isaiah saying the voice of one crying in the wilderness prepare you the way of the Lord, make his path straight. If you will look at with me in Isaiah, chapter 40, I want to read verses 3, 4 and 5. There, if you'll read with me, the word of God says the voice picking up in verse 3 of Isaiah, chapter 40, he says the voice of him that crieth in the wilderness prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted and every mountain and hill shall be made low and the crooked shall be made straight and rough places plain. Did you hear that? All flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it.
Speaker 1:I think it's very significant that we know that all four gospel writers refer to this scripture in Isaiah, matthew here in chapter 3, verse 1 through 3. Then, if you will look with me and mark chapter 1 there, verses 2 and 3. You don't have to turn there because I'm going to read them, but write them down and refer to them. Go back and listen to this broadcast again and follow the scriptures along and you see how the Lord reveals this to our heart. John the Baptist's mission, because I think it's significant that we understand. I want you to look there in Isaiah again. Read right there in verse 3 of Isaiah, he says the voice of him that crieth in the wilderness prepare ye the way of the Lord. Capital L, capital O, capital R, capital D.
Speaker 1:When you see that in the Old Testament that is referring to Jehovah, god, the one true God, the God of creation, elohim, but Jehovah who has become to man everything that man needs him to be. And we know that we are in need of a Savior, in great need of a Savior, and that is John's mission to bring forth and point every soul to the true King from glory, jesus Christ, jehovah, yahweh, yahshua, jesus is the Lord, is salvation. Jesus Christ, none other than the true king from glory. But let's look at Mark chapter 1, verses 2 and 3. It says face which shall prepare the way before thee, the voice of one crying in the wilderness prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his path straight. Then we look in the gospel of Luke, chapter three, verses two through six, and Luke, writing and recording, says Annas and Caiaphas being the high priest, the word of God came unto John, thinking of John the Baptist, the son of Zacharias, making sure we know who he's speaking of here in the word of God in the wilderness. And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sin. Baptism of repentance for the remission of sins, as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, saying the voice of one crying in the wilderness prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his path straight. Every valley and he includes verse 4 here every valley shall be filled and every mountain and hill shall be brought low and the crooked shall be made straight and the rough way shall be made smooth.
Speaker 1:John, chapter 1, verse 23 this is john the baptist answering those that had been sent from the pharisees to question him and his authority and who had sent him. They asked, asked him are you the Christ? He said no, they said are you Elijah? He said no. They said are you the prophet? He said no, but he did answer them and he said I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Isaiah, or Isaiah in the New Testament. So we see the significance of this verse. No wonder the significance is so important, because it's speaking of capital L, capital O, capital R, capital D.
Speaker 1:Jehovah, god drawing full attention to the one that John came to point us, to point all the hearts of men. Even in his day and even here, 2,000 years later, his mission is the same. It has not changed. It is to point everyone, every heart, to the true king from glory, and that is Jesus Christ, the Lord you know we have. I want to read in the gospel of Luke. Also, I want you to see his mission laid out in Luke, chapter 1, verse 76 through 80.
Speaker 1:Now this is Zacharias, his father, john the Baptist's father, speaking and prophesying. He said and thou child shalt be called the prophet of the highest, for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his way, to give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of sin, through the tender mercy of our God, whereby the day spring from on high, have visited us to give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace. And the child, speaking of John the Baptist. The child grew and waxed strong in the spirit and was in the deserts till the day of his showing unto Israel, which we have read about right here, as recorded in the gospel of Matthew, chapter three, in the last broadcast and in this message today, where we look at his message and we look at his mission. Then we read in John, the Gospel of John, chapter 1.
Speaker 1:I want to read verse 6 through 8, and then I want to jump over to verse 19 through 37. I know we're covering a lot of scripture and we may not have all the time in the world, as the Holy Spirit leads, to get through this message today, but I want you to, I encourage you and I implore you to follow along with us today and continue to go along with us. If we're not allowed to finish today, by the sake of time, join with us again in the next broadcast, as the Lord will, where we will finish this message out. But I want to read in the Gospel of John, chapter 6, verse 6, excuse me, chapter 1, verse 6 through 8. And then we want to read verse 19 through 37. This points to John's mission.
Speaker 1:Remember what we're talking about John the Baptist's mission. We've heard his message and it tells us his message as well. But it also signifies his mission, john the Baptist speaking of right here, starting in verse 6 of John, chapter 1, there was a man sent from God whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the light, capital L, speaking of Jesus Christ, that all men through him might believe. He was not that light, but was sent to bear witness of that light.
Speaker 1:Now, if you will look with me in verse 19, and this is the record of John, this is his testimony, john the Baptist, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him who art thou? And he confessed and denied not, but confessed I am not the Christ. And they asked him that we may give an answer to them. That has sent us. What sayest thou of thyself? Listen closely. He said I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness. Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Isaiah. And they which were sent were of the Pharisees, that religious, hypocritical crowd of that day who had added so much to God's word and made the worship of the Lord so burdensome to the people, the ones that John called a generation of vipers.
Speaker 1:But then we move on in verse 25 of John, chapter 1. And they asked him and said unto him why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet? John answered them, saying I baptize with water, but listen closely to what he says here. But there standeth among you one among you whom ye know not. He it is who, coming after me, is preferred before me, whose shoes, latchet, I am not worthy to unloose. These things were done in bethabara, beyond jordan, where john was baptizing the.
Speaker 1:The next day, john seeth Jesus coming unto him. Listen, folks, listen. This is his mission, right here, summed up. And he sees Jesus coming to him and saith, behold the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world. This is he of whom I said after me, cometh a man which is preferred before me, for he was before me and I knew him not, but that he should be made manifest to Israel. Therefore, am I come, baptizing with water, and John, by record saying I saw the spirit descending from heaven like a dove and it abode upon him, and I knew him not. But he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, upon whom thou shalt see the spirit descending and remaining on him, the same as he which baptized with the Holy Ghost. And I saw in bare record, listen closely John the Baptist's testimony and I saw in bare record that this is the Son of God. Again, the next day, after John stood and two of his disciples as they were standing with him, he said again Folks, throughout history, humanity, if you study the word of God through the Old Testament and the history humanity, if you study the word of God through the Old Testament and the history of humanity, the history of Israel, you will find that they have sought leaders, kings and saviors, individuals who promised peace, prosperity and purpose.
Speaker 1:We see this same format today. We see this pattern repeated. We're always seeking for somebody who to promise peace, prosperity and purpose. Yet earthly kings and rulers have often fallen short and their reigns fade like the mist in the air. Into this longing world, into the longing world.
Speaker 1:Over 2,000 years ago, in that atmosphere, stepped John the Baptist, a man divinely appointed and anointed to direct all people. You say well, how can you say all people? He came unto the Jews. Well, the message is resounding to us today. So it points us to the one true king from glory, jesus Christ, the eternal son of God. John's life, as we see in scripture and ministry, were extraordinary. Not because they pointed to himself Did you hear that? Not because they pointed to him himself, but because they unequivocally pointed to none other than the one and only Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God. Behold the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world.
Speaker 1:As we examine these scriptures that we've covered today, we must see how John's mission to prepare the way for Jesus serves as a call for us today to repent, to behold the Lamb of God in our hearts and to proclaim, once we do, to proclaim Jesus as the eternal King from glory, as our Lord and our Savior. As we look into these scriptures today, we first see the voice foretold, the prophecies of John the Baptist. We looked into Isaiah, chapter 40, verse 3 and 4. Let's read those again. The word of God says the voice of him that crieth in the wilderness prepare you the way of Jehovah, god the Lord, make straight in the desert, the highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted and every mountain and hill shall be made low and crook. The crooked shall be made straight and the rough places plain folks. Hundreds of years, hundreds of years before john's birth, the prophet almost 700 years before seven, some 700 years before the prophet Isaiah, and also if you read in Malachi, chapter 3, verse 1, you see it as well.
Speaker 1:But the gospel accounts refer to Isaiah's prophecy only. But they spoke of a voice, of that one that would cry out in the wilderness preparing the way for the Lord, jehovah, god. This was not a random occurrence, but a precise fulfillment of divine prophecy when Gabriel appeared unto Zechariah John the Baptist's father, in the temple you read about this in Luke, the Gospel of Luke, chapter 1, have very detailed revelation of this in Luke, chapter 1. He revealed the angel. Gabriel revealed that this long-awaited voice prophesied by Isaiah would come through his own son, and he was told to name his son John. Zechariah's spirit-filled prophecy, as we read there in Luke, chapter 1, verse 76 through 79, further clarifies John's mission. He says and thou, thou child, shalt be called the prophet of the highest, for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his way.
Speaker 1:John's purpose was clear. He was to prepare the hearts of the people for the arrival of the Messiah, the one and only Jesus Christ. This was his mission and it was foretold. But I want to tell you this, just as God and I want you to see this you know, in this we see God's sovereignty. In this we see God's perfect plan, but we also see God's omnipotence, because we see his perfect redemptive plan being played out before our eyes. But we also see God's omnipotence because we see his perfect redemptive plan being played out before our eyes. But we also see his perfect, divine timing, his divine redemptive plan and his divine timing. He is an on-time God. It didn't happen a moment too soon and it certainly didn't happen a moment too late. It happened just when he appointed it to happen, just when he appointed it to happen.
Speaker 1:If you read there in the Gospel of Luke, you'll read that John was not given to strong drink or wine, but was filled with the Holy Spirit and he came in the power and the anointing of Elijah. He was spirit-filled. He came not of his own power, not of his own strength, but one man filled with the Holy Spirit, pointing everyone who would listen, every ear that would hear, everyone that would be baptized of him through repentance would point them to Jesus Christ, the Lord. And might I say this, he's still pointing our hearts to him today. That was his mission and that was his message, and it's confirmed here in the Word of God. But just as God had a specific purpose for John, he also has a divine purpose for each of us.
Speaker 1:But I ask you this question today are you, are we preparing the way for Christ in our hearts and in our lives? And if we are, are we preparing that way for those around us? By the way we live? Are we pointing others to him through our actions more than our words? Because remember what the old saying goes, how it goes actions speak louder than words. We are the light to the world we are to be seen and not heard. We are the salt to the world we are to be seen and not heard. We are the salt of the earth we are to be tasted and not heard. You hear what I'm saying. You hear what I'm saying.
Speaker 1:Our actions speak louder than our words. We can speak a thousand words about Jesus and then one wrong move. Words about Jesus and then one wrong move, one wrong motive of the heart and destroy a testimony of a testimony of 20 to 30 years has been done that way because of sin and somebody's life who claimed to be born again and had a ministry. And they failed. And and we all do, the word of God tells us. The apostle Paul tells us in Romans, chapter three, verse 23,. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, so we will fall. That's why it's so good that we have the grace of God to pick us up and dust us off when we do. But we just need to be careful how we live our life and that our life and our actions match up with our words. And we need to stay in prayer and we need to stay in the word of God to make that happen, that we, like John the Baptist, can carry out the divine purpose that God has for our life. And that's the point.
Speaker 1:Others to Jesus Christ, the great Commission, go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature, baptizing them in the name singular of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. But are we, as our actions, matching up with our words? But not only do we see the voice foretold the prophecies of John the Baptist. But we see through these scriptures repentance, the gateway to the king. Matthew, chapter 3, verse 1 through 6.
Speaker 1:Let's read it again. The word of God says in those days came John the Baptist, preaching and the wilderness of Judea and saying repent ye, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand, for this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah saying and the same John had his raiment of camel's hair and a leather girdle about his loins and his meat was locust and wild honey. Girdle about his loins and his meat was locust and wild honey. Then went out to him jerusalem and all judea notice that all judea and all the region round about jordan, the jordan river, and were baptized of him in the jordan, confessing their sins. It is estimated by many scholars that over a million people came out to hear John's message and to be baptized. Can you imagine that we can't get that with social media today? We can't get two, three people, five people at one time to listen to the word of God. People are dropping off in church membership. They're leaving the churches by droves today, and we have social media, we have advertisement, tv advertisement, we have radio. We have all of these avenues to preach the gospel, yet we either fail to do so or people will not listen.
Speaker 1:John came out of the wilderness screaming to the top of his lungs repent ye, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand, and then baptizing them in the Jordan. John's message began with a powerful, uncompromising call repent ye, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand, we talked about in the last broadcast, but we also said about this in the last broadcast, and you need to understand this. Repentance is more than regret or sorrow for your wrongdoing. It is a complete turning away, complete heart change that leads to a change of action. Change of mind leads to a change of action, turning away from sin and turning toward God by placing your faith in Christ. John's baptism symbolized this spirit cleansing, preparing the people to receive the Savior Jesus Christ, to receive the Savior Jesus Christ. John's ministry reminds us that repentance is the gateway to encountering the King, for without repentance, the heart remains hardened and unprepared for the transformative power of Christ.
Speaker 1:Imagine with me, if you will, a field overgrown with weeds and littered with big stones and rocks. Before any fruitful planting can occur in that field, the ground must be cleared and the way must be cleared and the ground must be made ready for planting. In the same way, repentance clears the spiritual field of our hearts, making room for the seeds of the gospel message to take root. I want to ask you this question today Are there areas in your heart and in your life that need to be surrendered to the Lord? I'm speaking to born-again believers, those that claim to be born again, those that say they're born again of the Spirit Born from above, true born-again believers. Are there areas like in my heart and I'm speaking, speaking I'm preaching to me today just as much as I'm preaching to you there are areas in our lives that we need to be more surrendered to the Lord. There's areas in our heart and in our life that need to be cleared for the gospel message to take root and for the gospel message to go forth from our heart to shine as a light to the world around us.
Speaker 1:But I'm asking you, sinner friend, have you repented? Have you turned from that sinful world and turned from your sin and made the way clear, cleared all the weeds out of your heart, cleaned all the rocks out of your heart? That the seed of the gospel of Jesus Christ, when someone points you to him. It can take root in your heart. Have you made that room for him today in your heart? If not, I ask you and I invite you today to come to repentance and turn from your sins. Remember, remember true repentance is not merely an outward act or sorrow or an emotional experience, but it is more an inward transformation of your heart and this takes place by turning completely in your heart and in your mind. A change of your heart leads to the change of your mind and leads you away and turn away from that sin in the world that you're involved in right now and ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart, turning to God by placing all your trust, all your faith in Jesus Christ and his finished work on the cross.
Speaker 1:But I encourage, as we close here and I said we wouldn't get through the whole message today, so I encourage you to join us next time as we continue this message, as the Lord will. But I encourage you and I ask you this, and I encourage each one of us to do this today, right now, let's examine our hearts and respond to John's timeless call to turn to the true King from glory. Won't you do that today, my brothers and sisters in Christ, won't you do that today? My brothers and sisters in Christ, may we close out in a prayer today. And a sinner friend, if you have not received him, I ask you and I encourage you to acknowledge and admit that you are a sinner in need of God's grace. The word of God tells us, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God's grace. The word of God tells us, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Believe by placing your faith in Jesus Christ as the risen son of God, who died for your sins and rose again. John 3, 16 declares to the world for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. Confess. Confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior, surrendering your life to him. Sinner friend, I'm talking to you. I'm talking to you today. Romans 10, verse 9, tells us if you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. That's the word of God. That's not what Jeff Thomas is telling you. That's what the Lord is saying to your heart.
Speaker 1:Today there is a simple prayer that you can pray Now. I'm not saying this prayer alone. This has to come from your heart. You have to repent, you have to change your heart. You have to allow the Holy Spirit to change your heart. That changes your mind and leads you from that sin. A simple prayer cannot save you. You must make it a heart transformation by the power of the Holy Spirit that Jesus Christ will come into your heart. But if you truly mean it in your heart today, pray this prayer with me. Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner and I need your forgiveness. I believe that you've died for my sins and rose again to give me eternal life. Today I turn from my sin and I invite you into my life as my Lord and my Savior. Transform me and lead me to live for you and your glory, bringing glory and honor and praise to your name. In your holy name I pray Amen.
Speaker 1:Sinner friends, if you prayed this prayer and you've made the decision to follow Christ, rejoice, for you are now a part of his eternal kingdom. John the Baptist's mission was to prepare the way, and today the king himself has made the way for you. If you prayed this prayer, you really meant it in your heart, the Holy Spirit. You answered the call of the Holy Spirit to come to him today. Look to him, trust in him and walk in the new life he has given you.
Speaker 1:Brothers and sisters in Christ, I ask you to pray with me now.
Speaker 1:Father in heaven, in your holy name, lord Jesus, we come.
Speaker 1:Lord, examine our hearts. Lord, help us to confess our sins. You said if we sin, if we confess our sins, you are just, faithful and just to forgive us our sins. You said if we sin, if we confess our sins, you are just, faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Lord, whatever it is in our hearts is hindering us from pointing someone to you.
Speaker 1:Today, lord, I ask that you would just cleanse our hearts, cleanse it completely, remove all the wrong motives, remove any pride. Lord, keep us humble, lord, before you, for we are nothing without you. We have nothing apart from you. Lord, we thank you for your many blessings. We thank you for this message today, lord, I pray that some sinner somewhere in this world today, that one that's closest to hell, lord, we'll receive you as Lord and Savior today, before it's eternal too late. Lord, bless us as we go forth from this message, lord, and bless us as we enter into following up, according to your will, this message of John the Baptist's mission in the next broadcast. Carry us through and keep us safe to the next time we join together to share in words from the word of God. We thank you in Jesus' name, amen. Thank you all for joining us today and I look so forward to the next time we can join together and share words from the word of God. God bless.
