Words From The Word Of God
A topical, and expositional study from the Word of God, in order to Glorify and Exalt our Great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; that we may reach the world with the Gospel, and grow in the Grace and knowledge of Him.. Grace and Peace to all, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.(Isaiah 52:7) "How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!"(Isaiah 55 10-11) 10) "For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:"11) "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."(John 3:16)“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”(John 14:1-7) 1)"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me."2)"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you."3)"And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."4)And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know."5)"Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?"6)"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."7)"If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him."(Romans 10 :9-10;13) 9)"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."10)"For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."13)"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Words From The Word Of God
What Nets Are Holding You Back From Following Jesus?
Jesus begins His public ministry in Galilee, fulfilling Isaiah's prophecy about light coming to those in darkness with a powerful message: "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
• Jesus intentionally began His ministry in Galilee, a region looked down upon by religious leaders
• The kingdom of heaven is not distant but immediately accessible to all who respond to Christ's call
• When Jesus says "Follow me and I will make you," He promises to transform ordinary lives
• The disciples' immediate response of leaving their nets demonstrates the compelling nature of Christ's call
• Jesus' healing miracles demonstrate His authority over physical and spiritual realms
• Physical healing is temporary, but spiritual healing from sin is eternal
• The greatest question we must answer carries eternal consequences: how will we respond to His call?
Repent, turn from the dark world and turn to God by placing your faith and trust in Jesus Christ and His finished work on Calvary's cross. Your soul is destined to spend eternity somewhere - the decision you make today determines where.
John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
If you haven't received Jesus Christ by Faith, as your personal Lord and Savior; I strongly encourage you to do so before it is eternally too late!!!

Hello and welcome to this another edition of Words from the Word of God. Thank you all so much for joining us today as we continue to look into the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 4. And this will be the last broadcast in this series from the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 4. Today we'll be looking again, dropping all the way back to verse 12, reading all the way through verse 25, and speaking to you for quite a few minutes on this topic. The kingdom of heaven is at hand. The kingdom of heaven is at hand. A call to the hearts of men. A call to the hearts of men as we stand at the edge of eternity. As we stand at the edge of eternity, the voice of Jesus still echoes across the ages. Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Speaker 1:This is not just a phrase from history that rings out from the halls of history. No, it is a living, divine call to every lost soul, to every weary heart, to every seeker of truth, and I mean truth. Truth is a hard word to find in this world today, in the dark world that we live in. Truth is hard to find, but we can always find it from the lips of our Savior. It is a message that he cries out and proclaims, that pierces the darkness of our world with divine, eternal light, eternal hope, eternal love and eternal purpose. You know, in this podcast ministry we have centered every message. We have centered every message, our every proclamation and our very purpose has been centered on one person and that is Jesus Christ, not merely as an ideal to admire, but as the living Savior of the world who calls all notice I said that all to repentance and faith. This is not a member, exclusive membership or call. No, it is a call that goes out to every lost heart in this world, every lost and wayward soul, every broken heart in this world, every soul searching for truth that they can live by, every soul that is in great need, the great need of a Savior, and his name is Jesus. From the wilderness of temptation to the shores of Galilee, we have sought to repeatedly shine the spotlight on him, recognizing that there is a greater, no greater subject, no deeper truth, no more urgent hope, no more urgent message than Jesus Christ himself. Every passage we explore, every word we share is rooted in this unwavering focus, for him alone is the light that dispels spiritual darkness, the king who ushers in the kingdom, the redeemer who gives eternal life.
Speaker 1:Today, as we delve back again into this passage of Matthew 4, verses 12-25, I urge you not only to open your ears to hear the message, but open your hearts. Pray that the Holy Spirit will open the eyes of your ears and your excuse me your minds and your heart to be receptive, to receive the eternal truth of Jesus Christ, the King who brings salvation to the lost, transformation to the broken and healing to all who come to him. The same Savior who called fishermen in Galilee calls you and I today. The kingdom is near and the King is here. And I ask you, as we begin today this eternal question and it is an eternal question because the answer carries eternal consequences how will you respond to him and his call today? How will you respond?
Speaker 1:Today we want to look at three significant truths from the scripture. We want to look at the person of the kingdom, the eternal king, jesus Christ. We want to look at the purpose of the kingdom changed hearts through repentance and faith in Christ. We want to look at the purpose of the kingdom changed hearts through repentance and faith in Christ. And we want to look at the power of the kingdom healing sin and demonstrating divine authority and if we begin to look at these today, I ask you to read with me the gospel of Matthew, chapter 4, verse 12 through 25. And this begins as we read says Now, when Jesus had heard that john, speaking of john the baptist, was cast into prison, he departed into galilee and, leaving nazareth, he came and dwelt in capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of zebulon and neftalum, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of by Isaiah the prophet, saying the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, galilee of the Gentiles, the people which sat in darkness saw great light and to them, which sat in the region and shadowed with death, light is sprung up.
Speaker 1:From that time, jesus began to preach and to say Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, simon called Peter, and Andrew, his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishers. And he saith unto them Follow me and I will make you fishers of men. Follow me and I will make you Amen. What a blessed statement that is from the lips of our Savior Follow me and I will make you. And they straightway left their nets and followed him. And going on from thence he saw other two brethren, james, the brother of Zebedee, and John, his brother, in the ship, with Zebedee, their father, mending their nets, and he called them and they immediately immediately, that means at once they left the ship and their father and followed him and Jesus went about all Galilee.
Speaker 1:I love this verse right here, for it tells us the purpose, his purpose teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. And his fame went throughout all Syria and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with diverse diseases. That means various kinds of diseases and torments. Notice, these are separated here into three things torments and those which were possessed with devils and those which were lunatic, those which were insane and those that were lunatic, those which were insane and those that had palsy. And he healed them. And there followed him a great multitude of people from Galilee and from Decapolis and from Jerusalem and from Judea and from beyond Jordan. May the Lord bless the reading of his word to our hearts today.
Speaker 1:Today we want to look at first the person of the kingdom, the eternal king, jesus Christ. Read with me again, if you will, verse 12 through 17. Now, when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee. His ministry, his earthly ministry, began here and, leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast of the borders of Zebulun and Nephthilim, that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken of by Isaiah the prophet. That's Isaiah. This is the Greek pronunciation of his Hebrew name. Isaiah the prophet, saying the land of Zebulun and the land of Nephthilim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles. Thank God for that, that he came into the Galilee of the Gentiles. He came into the Gentiles and here we are. If you've been born again, here we are, saved, over 2,000 years later, listening to his glorious word and listening to the story of our Savior.
Speaker 1:The people verse 16, the people which sat in darkness saw great light, and to them, which sat in the region of the shadow of death, light has sprung up. From that time, jesus began to preach and to say repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. The kingdom of heaven is at hand. The king has come, is at hand. The kingdom of heaven is at hand, the king has come. Jesus begins his public ministry in Galilee after John the Baptist is in prison. This was no coincidence, as it fulfilled Isaiah's prophecy.
Speaker 1:In your own time, if you have time, read Isaiah, chapter 9, verses 1 and 2. I will read it here to put it on record as to what the word of God says there. Verse 1 of Isaiah, chapter 9 says nevertheless, the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation when, at the first, he highly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of verse 2, have seen a great light. They that dwelt in the land of the shadow of death upon them hath as the light shined. I tell you what folks wonderful. This just proves his divinity. This proves him. The fulfillment of this prophecy fulfills him, him coming into Galilee instead of beginning his ministry in Jerusalem, in the Temple Mount. There, where supposedly the religious crowd was and we know they were in probably greater spiritual darkness because they were self-deceived into believing that they were right with the Lord, even though he had not spoken to them through a prophet in over 400 years. Jesus comes into Galilee, a region that was greatly spurned and looked down upon from the religious crowd in Jerusalem, an area that was in great spiritual poverty and in great spiritual darkness, but I find it interesting that it became the epicenter of divine light breaking into our dark world. I find it very interesting and we should find that very interesting that Jesus would seek to come into the darkest of dark, the darkest of hearts. That means none of us are too far gone for him to come to. None of us are too far gone for him to call. That's what it reflects to me. I pray that the Holy Spirit will show you what that reflects to your heart as we continue on. You know Jesus comes proclaiming repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Speaker 1:And've talked about repentance and I know we've centered many messages from matthew, chapter 4, on christ and christ alone. But it's very significant. Think of it this way. You know the whole word of god has one subject throughout. Who is that one subject? Jesus Christ. So if God in his word to mankind, if his love letter to mankind, centers the thought and the subject around one person, jesus Christ, it must behoove us in our hearts to center our hearts and our lives around him as well. If the whole word of God thinks it's significant enough to bring him, shine that spotlight upon him from Genesis to Revelation and the red line of blood running from Genesis to Revelation. Who are we to take him and set him aside for any reason at all? In other words, we should let his light shine through our hearts to a lost and dying world every day. We should be that salt that has not lost its savor, by bringing Christ to the forefront of our lives each and every day, that a lost and dying world can have taste. They can come and taste and see that the Lord, he is good, amen. You know Jesus proclaims repentance.
Speaker 1:Repentance again is not simply remorse for sin. No, it is a complete turning away from the dark world and the darkness of sin and surrendering to God by placing one's faith and trust completely in Christ and his finished work on Calvary's cross and his blood for the washing away of all sin. The kingdom is not distant. That is very significant for us to understand the kingdom today. This is a message that is more prevalent to me in my heart today than it was even then when Jesus proclaimed it. For the kingdom of heaven is at hand, for the kingdom is nearer today, I believe, than it's ever been, because I believe the return of Christ for his body, the rapture, the rapturing out of his church, is not far away. I believe we draw every second of every day even closer and closer to it and I realize that every generation has said that very statement.
Speaker 1:But understand, see, I don't watch the news because I know how everything is going to end up. I trust what God says in his word, what Jesus has revealed to us. I believe what the word of God says and what's going to happen. So I trust in it more than I trust in the news. But I don't watch the news that much. If at all possible I try to avoid it. But if you look around us today and you see how evil is ramping up and getting worse and worse and it's growing more and more and faster and faster, kingdom rising against kingdom, nation against nation, the world just seems like it's in a turmoil and all the time twirling in this turmoil and war is just right on the tip of someone's tongue and at the tip of someone's finger, at the beginning of World War III.
Speaker 1:I believe, as we see these things going forth, we see God's prophetic timeline at its climax and I believe that the return of christ can be just any moment now. In fact, I wouldn't be a bit surprised it wouldn't surprise me any if he didn't come before I finished this message today. So the kingdom of god, the kingdom of heaven, heaven is not a distant hope, it is a near fact, it is a near foundation that we must understand, is closer today than it's ever been. Not only that, but it's accessible and it's available to all who will respond to the call of Christ to repent and trust in him by faith. Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Just as Jesus brought light to Galilee, he desires to bring light to the darkest corners of our life.
Speaker 1:But I ask you this question, and it's another eternal question Are you ready to let the eternal king transform your heart today? Are you ready to take that step, to have a personal relationship with him and quit rejecting him, quit rejecting the word and the truth of God's word? The one who came and we see, is the only begotten of the father, full of grace and truth, the one who brings truth, see, is the only begotten other father full of grace and truth, the one who brings truth, grace and mercy to light in every heart that will be opened unto him, every person that's drawn to him, every person that accepts him, his life comes flying in. It comes lighting in that darkness and bringing light that will never be dimmed into the heart of that wayward sinner, that will only receive and allow him to come into their heart and life, asking him to come into their heart and life and have a transformed relationship with him, a transformed heart with him. Are you ready for the eternal king to transform your heart in that way today?
Speaker 1:Jesus is not just a messenger. He is not just a good teacher, but the embodiment of the kingdom. He is the very person of the kingdom of heaven. He is the king who has come. He is the king who has died on Calvary's cross to pay man's sin dead and full. He is the king that shed every drop of his precious blood in the ground there at Calvary that day. He is the king that was buried and praise God. He is the king that was resurrected three days later and he is the king that is ascended back into heaven to his rightly place at the right hand of the Father on majesty on high. He is the king, the person, the very person, the only person of the kingdom of heaven. Jesus Christ, our Savior. Not only do we see in the scripture, we see the person of the kingdom of heaven, jesus Christ, our Savior. Not only do we see in the scripture, we see the person of the kingdom, but we see the purpose of the kingdom, and that is changed hearts through repentance and faith. You know the call of Peter, andrew, james and John. Let's look at this in verse 18 through 22.
Speaker 1:And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, simon called Peter, and Andrew, his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishers. And he saith unto them Follow me and I will make you fishers of men. And they straightway left their nets and followed him. And going on from thence, he saw other two brother and james, the son of zebedee, and john, his brother, in a ship, with zebedee, their father, mending their nets. And he called them. And they immediately notice the response here, immediately left the ship and their father and followed him. Jesus calls Peter and Andrew while they are casting their nets, and James and John while they're mending their nets.
Speaker 1:His words are simple yet profound. They're mending their nets. His words are simple yet profound Follow me and I will make you fishers of men. I love that phrase. Follow me and I will make you. Because everyone who has immediately responded to him or that has responded to his call over time to follow him, has been made and transformed into his what he would have them to be, what the lord would have us to be. That change takes place immediately. It begins to take place immediately after we immediately respond to leaving everything behind, and their immediate response to leave everything reflects their faith and willingness to be transformed, and that's what we're telling him when we don't reject him. You know how were their lives transformed? We'll consider this. From a fisherman, peter was transformed from just an everyday fisherman to the fearless leader of the early church. Filled with the Holy Spirit, he preached boldly at Pentecost, where over 3,000 souls were saved. Tradition tells us that he was crucified upside down in Rome, deeming himself unworthy to die like Jesus.
Speaker 1:Andrew, we find as we read through the Gospels, especially there in John, is always the faithful bringer of souls to Jesus. He is always bringing someone to Jesus, including his brother Peter, there in the Gospel of John, chapter 1, verse 40 and 42, where he says we have found the Messiah and he brings Peter to him, and then we find, over and over again, him bringing someone. He is the one when Jesus fed the 5,000 that was looking around for someone when Jesus said go and buy meat for them. That was looking around for someone when Jesus said go and buy meat for them After that long day and Jesus had compassion upon them and wanted to feed them. And he's the one that came to the Lord in all trust that Jesus could do something. With just five loaves and two fishes could feed 5,000 people. He said, lord, I found this lad and he brought him to Jesus.
Speaker 1:He is the faithful bringer of souls to Jesus, and again I say, including his brother Peter, who became the great preacher and from a fisherman to the great preacher and the foundation of the early church. But tradition tells us he was so passionate for Christ that he was martyred on an X-shaped cross, preaching until up to his last breath. He was even preaching the gospel to the ones that were crucifying him on that X-shaped cross. Now, that's what tradition tells us. That is not confirmed in the word of God. I want to make that clear and plain here. Not confirmed in the word of God. I want to make that clear and plain here. The first apostle James was to be the first apostle martyred as he was beheaded by Herod in Acts, chapter 12, verse 2, demonstrating his unwavering courage and devotion to the Lord. How these men's lives were changed from fishermen to these great men of God.
Speaker 1:John, the apostle of love and the apostle in his gospel who identifies himself as the disciple whom Jesus loved. But he was the apostle of love who wrote the gospel of John three epistles first, second, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, john and Revelation. Tradition tells us, after his exile to Patmos, he returned to Ephesus where he continued to minister until his natural death. He suffered the martyrdom of a long life a long life because he is the only apostle that died of a natural death, according to tradition. But he was a witness of the growth of the early church and the enduring power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. These men, these four men, once ordinary fishermen, became foundational pillars of the church, all because Jesus said follow me and I will make you Follow me and I will make you. Their obedience to Jesus' call impacted generations. We must understand that their obedience to his call has impacted generations, spreading the gospel to the ends of the earth.
Speaker 1:Think of the countless souls that have been saved through the ministry, through the testimony of the lives of these three men who were once fishermen on the Sea of Galilee. And that day Jesus called and said follow me and I will make you fishers of men. How true he is to his word, how faithful he is to his word, but the ability to transform our lives. When he says, follow me, he has purpose. He has purpose for you before he says, follow me. But when he calls and says, follow me, I will make you, he know he's faithful to keep that promise. Follow me and I will make you a son and daughter of the most high God.
Speaker 1:Follow me and you will have eternal salvation. Follow me and you will have life and have it more abundantly. Follow me and you will have eternal life. Follow me and you shall not see death. Though you may die, you still live. Follow me and you can spend eternity with me where my Father and I are. Follow me and obey my words of my Father and I will find our abode in your heart. Follow me and I will manifest myself to you. Follow me and I will send my Spirit that he may dwell inside you, that he may bring all things that you've been taught to your remembrance. And bring all that you've been taught back to your remembrance and remind you of the things you've been taught through my word Follow me and you'll have eternal life, you'll have an eternal kingdom, you'll have an eternal home. In my Father's house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you I go to prepare a place for you. If I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself that, where I am there, you may be also. All that because he said follow me, and you choose to believe him and trust in his faithfulness to his word. Follow him and see how he will transform your life. He still makes that call today Follow me and I will make you Follow me, dear sinner, and I will make you Follow me. And I will make you Follow me, dear sinner, and I will make you Follow me and I will make you a son and daughter of the Most High God. That's the beginning. Born into the family of God, born from above, born of the Spirit. Having that rebirth, that new birth, not rebirth, but new birth from above, that spiritual birth where the Holy Spirit comes inside and dwells inside of us and makes us and molds us into his image, his dear image how the Father wants us to be molded and made into the dear image of his dear Son.
Speaker 1:What nets of life are holding you back from fully following Jesus? Are you willing to leave behind your nets, your past, your doubts, your comforts, and trust him to transform your life, just as he transformed the lives of these four men of God? If you don't believe that he can transform you, just go back and read the lives of the apostles, the apostle Paul especially. Oh, what a blessed man. He is my hero of faith. But read his testimony throughout the book of Acts, acts chapter 26, for example. Read Acts, chapter 26 and his testimony there of what he was before he met the Lord on that road to Damascus, that day when his life completely changed. What are you willing to turn loose of? What nets are holding you back? Are you ready to turn them loose? Are you ready to turn loose of your past, your doubts and your comforts to trust him to transform your life? Are you ready for that? That's an eternal question. Another eternal question.
Speaker 1:You notice that I keep saying eternal because the answer to it can carry eternal consequences. You see, jesus doesn't just call us to leave something behind, he calls us to step into something greater. Through his power he transforms ordinary people into extraordinary vessels for his kingdom. I invite you in your own time to read John, chapter 15, where he talks about being the true vine and the branches that are attached, that we may bring forth fruit, more fruit and much fruit for the furtherance of his kingdom. That we, apart from him, can do nothing. But Paul said I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me, so with him we can do all things. Without him we can't do anything. But finally, we see not only the person of the kingdom and the purpose of the kingdom. We see the power of the kingdom healing sin and demonstrating divine authority. Read with me, if you will, verse 23 through 25.
Speaker 1:The word of God says here and Jesus went about I love this verse all Galilee teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. And his fame went throughout all Syria and they brought unto him. All I love and I've got these underlined in my Bible, I invite you to do so All sick people that were taken with diverse diseases, various kinds, many kinds of diseases, different diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils and those which were lunatic. Those three are separated here in the word of God Torments, possessed with devils and lunatic, insane. They are three separate things here in the word of God. And those that had the palsy. And he healed them. And there followed him a great multitude of people from Galilee and from Decapolis and from Jerusalem and from Judea and from beyond Jordan. From beyond Jordan, the power of the kingdom on display, jesus healing ministry. Let's read that verse 23 again.
Speaker 1:And jesus went about all galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, healing how many manners of sickness, all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. Jesus' ministry included teaching and preaching and healing Says it right here in verse 23, teaching in their synagogue, preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of diseases. His miracles were signs and, might I say, affirmation, another affirmation. Not only was the fulfilling of the prophecy of Isaiah an affirmation, but his divine miracles, his divine healing, was an affirmation of his divine authority and a remarkable display of his divine compassion for all souls. He healed diseases, cast out demons and restored the brokenhearted, pointing to his ultimate mission and reflecting to his ultimate mission, which was healing humanity's greatest affliction, which is sin, unto death.
Speaker 1:You know, the greatest healing is the healing from sin. Physical healing is temporary, but spiritual healing is eternal. Sin separates us from God, but Jesus bridges the gap, offering forgiveness and restoration through his sacrifice, and his sacrifice alone. That is why he is the only one who can save, because he is the only one who could have died the sinless and did die the sinless sacrifice to satisfy God's holiness and righteousness upon sin, because sin had to be judged. God, in his holiness and righteousness, had sin because sin had to be judged. God in his holiness and righteousness had to judge sin, and he judged all of our sin in none other than Jesus Christ hanging upon Calvary's cross. Upon Calvary's cross, might I say.
Speaker 1:But his miracles reveal his power, jesus' first miracle and these are not just his first miracles he first showed forth his miracles in Cana, galilee, where he transformed the water into wine. The miracle at Cana showcases Jesus' transformative power. Just as he turned water into wine, he transformed hearts and lives of men. Just like I said earlier, you can be transformed from a sinner to a son and daughter of the most high God by choosing to follow Jesus. He said follow me and I will make you. He is faithful to his word. He is faithful to his word. If you want to know where that is recorded in the word of God, that first miracle at Cana of Galilee, it's in John, chapter two, verses one through 12. We don't have time to go there today, but I invite you in your own time to read it and hear the transformative power of Christ and his miracles and watch his divine affirmation there, as he affirms his deity there and his power over nature, his power over water, his power over mankind, his power over diseases, his healing here of the sick and the casting out of demons.
Speaker 1:In today's scripture text and throughout the gospels, might I say as we continue through the gospel, demonstrate his authority over both physical and spiritual realms. There is healing in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. One of my favorite scriptures is Acts, chapter 3 and 4. If you have time, read those prayerfully and ask the Holy Spirit to open up your eyes to the healing that occurred in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, not just of a lame beggar of 40 years, but read through those two chapters and see the lives that were changed just by the power and the faith and the power of the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. It's one of my favorite scriptures of the whole Word of God.
Speaker 1:But whatever our burden may be, be it physical, emotional or spiritual, jesus invites us to bring it all to him. His power to heal is as real today as it was then. You know, the power of the kingdom is not just in words, but it is greatly more in action. Jesus' miracles reminds us of the ultimate hope we have in him, a hope that transcends this life into eternity, and that's the hope of the curing of the greatest disease of mankind, and that's the disease of sin that surely leads to death, where he can transform us from death into life, eternal life, hope, love and mercy, grace all on display in that transformation. The kingdom of heaven is at hand. That transformation, the kingdom of heaven, is at hand. The king has come, his purpose to transform hearts and his power to heal souls Like Peter, andrew, james and John.
Speaker 1:The call to follow Jesus demands a response, demands a response. I'll repeat that Demands a response. I'll repeat that demands a response. These men left their nets and found eternal purpose. Are you ready to do the same? Jesus calls you not to a life of comfort, but a life of meaning, hope and an eternal impact. Think of the souls that you could impact by giving your heart and life to Jesus today. Think of the souls that you could impact in your family, your friends, your co-workers. You know, whatever it may be, whatever he has set forth for your purpose, he can transform you and set you on that purpose for your life today in him. There's no other way but through Jesus Christ.
Speaker 1:To all who are weary, burdened and lost, jesus calls you today Follow me and I will make you. But he first calls and says Will you repent, believe and follow me? The King of kings and the Lord of lords offers healing, transformation and eternal life to all who will come to him. And I ask you this question, another eternal question as I close how will you respond to his call today? How will you respond? Remember, the answer carries eternal consequences.
Speaker 1:So it is a prayer of my heart that if you're lost and undone, that means you've never received Christ as your Lord and Savior before, that you would do so before it's eternally too late. You say well, how do I do that? You repent, you turn from that sin that you're in, you turn from the dark world and you turn to God by placing all of your faith and trust in none other than Jesus Christ and his finished work on Calvary's cross and his bloodshed to redeem you off that slave market of sin and out of that eternal life of death. Your soul is destined to spend eternity somewhere. The decision you make today could determine where you spend eternity, and that's heaven or hell.
Speaker 1:Accept him and follow him, be transformed and be an eternal. Spend an eternity in heaven with him, or continue to reject him, die in your sins and be cast out into eternity, never knowing him, eternally separated from god, ending up in hell and, and sooner than later, the eternal lake of fire, which is the second death. That eternal separation from God, where his judgment is poured out without mixture, no grace, no mercy, no love, no longer, and that's for an eternity. Don't think that you go there and you're annihilated. No, that's not.
Speaker 1:Scriptural Scripture says that you will spend an eternity there. Jesus talks more and teaches more about hell than he does any other subject, so it's significant that he's offering you to come and follow him today, and won't you do so before it's eternally too late? That's the prayer of my heart. Thank you all for joining us today. I look so forward to the next time we can share a word from the prayer of my heart. Thank you all for joining us today. I look so forward to the next time we can share a word from the word of god. God bless you all.
