Then, of all the people to combine musical genius, alcoholism and drug addiction, guitarists seem to do it as well as anyone else. And this week's Mad Dog is one of the very best. Even more impressive, among numerous appalling character traits he's managed to display some serious racism despite having pilfered most of his music straight from African Americans.
