It isn't a secret that the veteran community is plagued with mental illness and suicide. The opportunity to experience a psychedelic retreat came to me a few weeks ago and fell on the exact same day as the funeral for a Marine that I served with who had committed suicide. So I felt that I couldn't pass it up and staying true to the intent of this podcast, I wanted to attend it with the intent to share the experience.
