Alright. Tonight we have Revelations 21. And it's going to be a good one. We're into the resurrected. We're into the the part of the the gospel or the part of the revelations of the resurrection and the the bride and the new Jerusalem, which is the good stuff. It's the it's the uh the fun stuff. So we're gonna start in the 21. Very interesting scripture. It says, then I saw a new heaven and a new earth. First, the the first thing you're thinking of to me is like, why does there need to be a new heaven? I mean, honestly, I know why there needs to be a new earth. We all think that's obvious, but why does there have to be a new heaven? And I don't know. But one thing I'm thinking about is you remember the dragon was thrown out of the, you know, and I think heaven is a different, it's a spiritual sphere, right? And the dragon was thrown up, so it's a new heaven, new earth. For the age of the previous heaven and earth has passed away. Now, the age is the time, right? And you know, of course, this is taught that someday this is gonna happen. You know, you can see why. It's also separation, right? And then in my craziness, for some reason I always think about, I was thinking about this this week. I thought, no, isn't it interesting that Adam ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and he sinned, right? So obviously he did something in his behavior that he didn't think lined up with what God was, and then of course the enemy accused him and he felt in shame. And because of that, we had a fall. Now, wouldn't it be interesting if everybody started believing who they are, regardless of their outward behavior? Now, just so you're aware, I believe this it's good to have good outward behavior. But wouldn't it be interesting as more people grab a hold of who they are, then maybe the earth will change. I know that sounds crazy, because you know, I've been I've been doing this a long time. And I and you know, you think crazy things, and you think to yourself, well, okay, you know, when we read the Bible, it's like, okay, one day he was in paradise, and the next day it's a disaster. I'm not sure about that. Maybe it was time, right? There was time before all this stuff happened. And what and I believe, you know, in Romans 4.17 it says, God speaks even though it isn't as it is and it must be. So in God's mind, this is accomplished. You know, we're perfect, but you can say you're not perfect. Well, am I perfect? God says I am. God says I'm righteous, and I can look at my look at my actions. I would say I'm not. But so God believed something here. Now I can say this is gonna happen in the sweet by and by or way down the line. Maybe that's true. I think it's already happened in the mind of God. That's my opinion. And it's interesting in Romans 8 chapter, it says, the whole creation is waiting for the sons of God to appear. It's been subject to frustration, waiting for the for you and I to appear. And how do we appear? By understanding who we are in the person of Christ. Christ is central here. That's why he's important if he can't see Jesus. If you don't continue to gaze upon Christ, you don't see the Father, the true Father. If you don't gaze upon Christ, you don't see the true you. So Jesus is preeminent here. Anyway, in 2 Corinthians 5.17, it says you're new creation, doesn't it? Sometimes you think, eh, maybe I'm not. Right? But he says you're a new creation. Alright, I'm gonna keep going. Verse 2, and I saw her, I love that. We got a feminine, the new Jerusalem is a feminine, and it's really the bride of Christ, is what it is. I saw her in spotless magnificence. How did she become spotlessly magnificent? By the blood of Jesus Christ. By his blood. Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. The holy city, the new Jerusalem, and the word Jerusalem means peace. Now, peace, Irene, means a union, a friendship, a union, a oneness. Isn't that interesting? A city, a holy city, a bride of union and oneness. Descending out of the heavens, having been fully prepared as bride and beautifully adorned for her husband, which is Christ. That's you and I, brothers and sisters. We are the new Jerusalem. Cities are made up of people. We are the bride. And we are in union with Christ. The wedding feast of the Lamb is your being celebrated. The Lamb and you. Equally celebrated, by the way. Alright. I love this in the commentary. In contrast to the symbolic religious prostitute city of Babylon, when Jesus speaks of waters gushing forth out of the innermost being, he says that you are a city. You are a bride. God's redeemed society. Say, I am the bride of Christ. I am the new Jerusalem. And a glorious announcement was heralded. I love that. A glorious announcement was heralded. Remember the glorious announcement to the shepherds? You know, there's a glorious announcement being heralded, preached out of the throne. Behold, God's tabernacle is with humanity, not separate from humanity, with humanity. Say God's tabernacle is with me. He has taken up permanent residence in human skin to be with them in the closest possible association of oneness. What I kind of like, this is one of my chapters that, like, wow, because I love confessing stuff like this. Let's say he has taken permanent residence in my skin to be with me in close possible association of oneness and union. Wow. And later on, we're gonna say the bride looks like Jasper. Well, remember the beginning of Revelations, the throne room looked like Jasper, didn't it? There's a union going on here. They are his own possession. Say I'm God's possession. I'm his possession. You're his possession. You're his tribe, and he is your God inseparably entwined in us. Say, God is inseparably inseparable. Can't pull us apart in you and me. That's the bride. You know, I mean, it's not sex, obviously, but a man and a woman coming together and they have a union. We all know, we don't have to go there, but you're right, there's a union there. It's a spiritual union, there's a physical union. And that's that's kind of a little bit of an analogy in a sense. I'm not talking the weird stuff, but I'm talking there's a oneness. There's a oneness with God. A union inseparable. Say, I am inseparably in union with the Father, Son, Spirit. You're not going to ever be separated. He and all of this, he wipes every tear from their eyes and blots out every hurtful memory. We've experienced this, by the way. When my wife came to the Lord, I mean, she, I mean, you should hear her testimony sometimes. It's crazy. She was just really treated poorly. Had a lot of stuff she could have gone to a lot of counseling for. And she had a, and before she even knew anything, she just met the Lord. And I she was living in Florida. I took Ob back to Minnesota, North Dakota, and she had a vision of Jesus wiping everything away. A chalkboard of everything that was in the past. And then, you know, when we used to go to a church, I mean we're talking 30 years ago, you know, in a women's group, they'd ask her to speak and give her testimony. She'd give her testimony and she'd tell me, yeah, it's you know, remember the old days of VHS? She said, Yeah, it's like putting it like a VHS tab tape in. I tell the testimony, all these women are crying. The testimony. She's not crying, she just takes out, she goes, I mean, I say it, but there's no emotions, no feeling, like it's gone, it's just been healed. He does that. Now we can say it's gonna be in the sweet bye and bye. Why not now? Why not now? And death shall be no more, nor any association with it, no more mourning or bitter weeping, nor any reference to pain for the former things that have passed away. I gotta flip it over here and just scripture just popped in my head. So just give me a moment here to uh my this is Old Testament, so I don't have my Bible open because I didn't anticipate going here, but I am. And we all know Isaiah 61. Just give me one second again. It says, you know, the spirit of the Lord is upon me. To grant joy to those who mourn in Zion, to give them an ornament of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment expressive of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, failing spirit, that they that we are called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, not our own planting, that he may be glorified. All right, verse 5. And the one seated upon the throne said, Behold, I, not you, I make all things new. And he instructed me to write because these words are true and to be relied on. Wow, to be trusted in. These words are true and they're to be trusted, and they look like craziness, don't they? You know, I mean, the Bible says everybody's righteous, everybody's forgiven, but you know, if you talk to people, they say, Well, that's not true. Well, God believes it's true. They maybe haven't got it in their head yet, had the revelation of it, or haven't had a good message preached to them without a lot of condemnation and a lot of spiritual laws that tell them they're all going down instead of just telling them who they are because of what Christ did. Verse 6, he said to me, Everything is now, NOW, fully accomplished. Wow. New heaven and new earth. I can't see it. Maybe I can in my faith, my in my my mind's eye, my faith eye. I can see it. Fully accomplished. I am the elf and the omega, beginning and end, right? I love this, the sum total, the sum total of the entire prophetic conversation concerning your and mine and everybody else's redemption. Remember, redemption is a big exchange. Jesus exchanged his life for everybody. I am both the origin and the conclusion of all things. Anyone thirsty can come and drink freely from the gift. The gift. I want to say the gift of the waters of life, directed from its source. And over in John 7 38, I mean, he had that in the commentary. In the regular version, I don't know, the amplified in the amplified version it says, you know, he who believes in me, you know, out of their innermost being will flow rivers of living water, right? And when you read it like that, it's like, oh yeah, it's gonna flow. No, but that's pre that's pre-death, resurrection, ascension. Now, it says, I'll say this. I believe, and because of that, just simply that, out of my being flows rivers of living water. Over in John the 4th chapter, I have a well bubbling up, an teaching well bubbling up unto eternal life. You have it. You're not gonna get it. It's in you. There's a river flowing in and out, and it's not just one river, it's rivers multiplying. The conquering one, I love this, inherits all things, and I will be God to him, and he will be my son. Of course, that's talking about Yeshua, Jesus. And uh Romans 4.13. Let me just read Romans 4.13 here real quick. Gotta start in Romans, get it going, right? Righteousness by faith and not righteousness by law promoted the promise when God announced to Abraham that he would be the father of those who would inherit the world. It is also, it is again a matter of embracing a gift rather than receiving a reward for keeping the law. And others versus say that the inheritance is to a person, which is Christ. He's the inheritor, and we inherit with him. We know that. I say that scripture all the time. Over in the eighth chapter, it says, right, the Holy Spirit testifies with my spirit, your spirit, that I am what? A child. You know, we always be led by the spirit. The biggest leading of the Holy Spirit will always be into your sonship. It's not, you know, go over here or go over to, you know, go to Gaza and you know, preach to the Ethiopian. I mean, yeah, God does that stuff. I understand, but the greatest leading the spirit's always gonna do is your sonship calling Abba Father. And then as he says, if you're a son, then you're what? A co-inheritor with Christ. Christ inherited everything. He says here the conquering one, Jesus, inherits all things, and guess I get to co-inherit. Say, I get to co-inherit with him, and I will be God to him, and he will be my son. The fear-driven, now think about that fear-driven and unbelieving. Now, I used to, I mean, just kind of sometimes people in the church, I call believing unbelievers because they believe in themselves. You know, we get into like, you know, I've said this before, Jesus Christ is my savior today, yesterday, forever. There's nothing I can do, no good work that I can do to save myself. There just isn't. It's trust in Jesus Christ. Always. And so if I start believing that I'm helping the game, I'm becoming an unbeliever. A little bit of one anyway, maybe not totally. But he says, but fear-driven, remember in 1 John 4.18, he says, perfect love, you know, God is love, perfect love casts all fear. With fear comes the thought of what? Punishment. When you're under the legalistic system, there's fear of punishment, isn't there? Shame, guilt, punishment. So the fear-driven unbelieving, those who haven't become rotten to the core, and down here he talks about like whitewashed tombs. Jesus compares the religious system to hypocrites. For you are so careful to clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside you are filthy, full of greed and self-indulgence. You are like whitewashed tombs which outwardly appear beautiful, but within are full of dead people's bones and uncleanliness. That's beautiful. Love and baby Jesus right there. Chewing the Pharisees out. Practicing magic in the cult, idolaters, in other words, people have a false image, usually of themselves, and deceivers. Their measure is in the lake of burning with brimstone. This is the second death. Remember, I think it was last chapter we talked about that. The first death is Jesus' death, and we're all included. The second death is people waking up to the first death because they didn't figure it out. So they're going through trials. They're going through a lake burning with brimstone. Of course, we've called that hell, and we've called that all kinds of things. No, it's a purification of the mind because of torment. Everybody comes to the fact that they need a savior. That they can't do it on their own. And they receive it as a free gift. If you're earning it, it is not a gift. He says that in the John, the fourth chapter. For a man who works for something expects a reward. But Abraham, believing in the God who justifies the ungodly, the undeserving, is quote, is reckoned to him as righteousness. Alright. Nine. Now listen, we're going to pull one of those celestial messengers forward now. And one of the seven celestial messengers, having the seven vessels being filled with the seven last wounds, it says here. Other versions say plagues, came to me and spoke, spoke to me, saying, Come, I will show you the bride, the lamb's wife. So I am the lamb's wife. You've heard me say this, you know, you women, if you if I can be the bride of Christ, you can be the sons of God, right? The bride is a place in sharp contrast with porn, the porn harlot. And we talked about you know the the whore of Babylon, right? It was basically relationship to the world and the religious system, and apart from God's all it is. It's not actual, you know, what we call it today. He carried me away in spirit onto a great and high mountain and pointed out to me the holy city, Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God. Now think about the holy city is people, and it's coming out of heaven, descending out of heaven from who? From God. 1 Corinthians, I think, I know one of Darling's scriptures is one uh 1 Corinthians 1 30. It is from God that you have your life in grace, Jesus. It is from God who He's made Christ to be your righteousness, your sanctification, yada yada yada. It's God who did it. It comes out of heaven from God. Christ is the Savior of the world. He lives in everybody. Colossians 3.11, Christ is all in in all. Ephesians 4.6. There's one Father over us all, reigning over us all, and living in us all. And over Acts 2.17 says the Holy Spirit's been poured out of who? All flesh. All sarks. All flesh. Possessing 11. Possessing the glory of God, her radiance, wow, she's radiating. What? Resembles a very precious and flawless Jasper stone, transparent like crystal. If you go back to the beginning of the book in Revelation, the throne room is like Jasper growing with crystal. Wow, we're grow glowing like the very throne room of God. Isn't that amazing? She had an impressive high wall with twelve gates, and the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel inscribed on them. Now, isn't that interesting? You got twelve gates, and of course, I'll just read the next verse. From the east, three gates, from the north, three gates, from the south, three gates, and from the west, three gates. And of course, three a lot of times is oneness, right? But now, why? Isn't it interesting? Do I have all the answers? Obviously not. I mean, you know how it is of scripture. You don't get to think you know something, you do, and then all of a sudden God shows you more and shows you more. But you know what's interesting about that is the gates are the names of the twelve tribes of Israel. Okay? Now think about this. The promise was given to Abraham, to Isaac, to Jacob, and to the twelve. It's symbolism of the promise, the prophetic promise. There's the gate to the New Jerusalem that's prophetic. Remember, it's a gate, so it still has an entrance. Does that make sense? I can't see it, so in other words, and you'll notice here when he's talking about the New Jerusalem, Moses isn't mentioned. Because remember when the patriarchs were there, there wasn't no law yet. The law came 430 years later. Or something something like that, 490, I can't remember. But a long time after these patriarchs, this is where the promise, the inheritance, the promise, the promise was a person. I don't think they figured that out. They thought it was a lamb, but it was a person, it was a special possession. Okay, he carried me away and okay. Did I get all that? No, no, no. Okay, I'm in the wrong verse. Verse 14.
unknown13.
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah. And the no, listen, this is great. And the wall of the city had 12 foundations or thresholds of the gates, and in them the names of the twelve apostles. Now you got gates that are for the, you know, you got the twelve patriarchs of the promise, of the, which would be the foretelling, but they received it obviously by faith, right? Abra's Abraham received Isaac by faith before he ever showed up. He received righteousness by faith. And you know what? I got a again a discussion with the uh theologian one time because he went to uh James about, well, yeah, he was righteous after he did all the no the verse 10 in Hebrews 4, or excuse me, Romans 4 says, was he righteous before or after he sacrificed Isaac? It was before. It was before he was even born, he was particularly righteous by faith. It was a space that he's righteous. So you got the 12 foundations. In other words, the bride, the foundations of the bride are in the teachings of the apostles. It's the foundation. Remember, Jesus is the cornerstone? And then Peter says we're all like little stones built up to a big uh to praise God. We're like little stones. He's the big stone, we're little stones. He says they're the foundations, they're names on the foundations of the teaching. The bride is on the foundations of the teachings of the apostles. And the prices and the prophets, which maybe means the patriarchs. In other words, you have the foretelling of the promise, and then you have the actual promise afterwards, the people who saw it, witnessed it, tasted. Remember, John said, we touched him, we saw him. All right, I'm gonna keep going. Verse 15. And the ones there's a lot of great stuff in the commentary, but there's just a lot. There's just a lot of stuff. And the one speaking with me, he had a golden reed wherewithin to measure the city, its gates, and its walls. And that's interesting. A golden reed, a reed was to measure something. But it's golden. It's you know, and I and I to me, or Peter says, Your precious your faith is more precious than gold. To me, when he talks about gold, I always think of faith. He's got a reed to measure the holy city. Now that sounds crazy, doesn't it? Holy city's people. He's gonna measure it. And the city was structured in a perfect quadrangular cube. In other words, a perfect cube. Like remember think the Rubik's cube? Think of a Rubik's cube. The city's like a Rubik's cube, in other words, in shape. And he measured the city, he measured the city with a reed at 12,000 stadia in length, width, height, and are equal. And you know what's interesting about the cube, which I I never didn't know this, but it says this in the commentary as the Holy of Holies was a perfect cube.
unknownWow.
SPEAKER_00Where are you at? In the Holy Holies, what's in you, the Holy Holies? Remember, I always love that in Hebrews. You know, he went into a place not made with human hands. He said, told Moses, make a replica of the true temple, which is you. And so he took the blood sacrifice into the real, the heavenly holy holies, which is in you. But it's a it's a holy voice. He measures it, right? Well, think about that. Okay. As eight furloughs make a mile, the extent of the walls, therefore, must have been three hundred and seventy-five miles each, 1,500 miles divided by four. This is all symbolism, by the way. The symbolic picture emphasizes height, 375 miles, suggesting a this is a fusion with heavens, with the heavens, and is equal to its width and length. In other words, on earth as it is in heaven. Down here says the bride city, the new Jerusalem. So relationship with the bridegroom in her fusion with heaven equally translates to her a horizontal relationship on the earth. A perfect cube like the Holy Holies in Solomon's Temple. Verse 17. And he also measured its walls 144 cubits, which makes me go back to think about Revelation 7, which talks about the 144,000, right? His measure was the stature of a man. He measured its walls, 144 cubits. His measure was the stature of a man, which is the measure of the celestial messenger. Singular. Which this is the revelation of Jesus Christ. So I assume it's Christ. The incarnate, the incarnate, this is the commentary, the incarnate under 17, the incarnate Messiah, Ephesians 4.13 to bring everyone into the realization of the fullness of the measure. According to the analytical Hebrew in uh uh Chaldean lexicon B. Davidson says, in Jesus Christ, God has measured man innocent. He, Christ, is the blueprint of our design. Christ in us defines us, he measures our identity, our sonship, our bul, and our belonging, our value, our innocence, and our royalty. Wow, I'm gonna. It's a good uh confession. I love that because this is what Jesus believes. Say this in Jesus Christ, God has measured me innocent. Jesus is the blueprint of my real design. Christ has defined me. He measures my identity, he measures my sonship, my belonging, my value, my innocence. He measures my loyal, my royalty. Say I'm royalty, I'm innocent, I belong, I have value. I'm a son. I'm a daughter. Wow! That's truly good news. Alright, six. 18. And the structure of its walls were jasper, and the city was pure gold, like pure glass. Alright. This is interesting. And the uh the thresholds of every gate in the wall of the city was beautifully adorned with every precious stone. The first, no, then it must must be around the gate, right? The gates are named around the gate, because we know that the gate is a pearl. We get to that. That's never closed, by the way. He says adorn jasper, the second sapphire, the third uh chalk chalkia. I don't know what that is. The fourth emerald, the fifth uh Sardux, the sixth Sardius, the seventh crystallite, the eighth mural, the ninth topaz, the tenth crystal process, the eleventh hycenth, and the twelfth amorist. Now listen to this. The twelve gems correspond closely with the twelve stones on the high priest's breastplate. Isn't that interesting? The gates have the names of the twelve patriarchs, and on them have the jewels like look on the on the breastplate. And the foundations. The foundations is the message of the apostles, the truth of the gospel, the new finished work. And I saw no temple in it. Why? Because a whole bunch of temples are living there. For the Lord God, the supreme power vested in the Lamb is that is in it, is its temple. But where does God live? He lives in you and me. Is he gonna appear as the man Jesus? I hope so. But I don't know. I know every I know everybody else says that. I do, I don't know. Because he's living in everybody. The entire city is now only one whole temple of God. We are made kings and priests. Behold, God's tabernacle is with human race. He has taken up permanent residence in your skin to be with you in the close, closest possible association of oneness. Wow that say this. I love this. Say, God has taken up permanent residence in me. Permanent. I mean, you know, people are always like in and out of self. I'm saved some days, I'm not saved some days. And I remember when we went through the transformation, you're talking deck, you know, decades ago, but once saved, always saved. It's like it says the Holy Spirit will come upon you and never leave you. I used to say, yeah, if I go to hell, I used to say this years ago, yeah, if I go to hell, Holy Spirit's still gonna be living at me, the nice air conditioner inside. Because the Holy Spirit lives and will never leave. Right? Say this. He has to say God has taken a permanent residence in me, in my human skin, to be with me in the closest possible possible association of oneness. Say I and the Father are one. There's no separation. And the city had no need of sun, nor the moon, that they might shine it, shine in it. For the glory of God illuminates it. The lamb is its light. The lamb is its lamp. Remember John said, I'm John 8 12, I'm the light of the world. And he's then he calls you the salt and light of the earth, and he says, a city set on a hill. You're that say, I'm the city set on the hill, and the new Jerusalem, baby. I'm shining my light. And the nations will conduct their lives in the lamb's light. Say, I will conduct my life in the lamb's light. And and the kings of the earth bring their glory, their people into her. What is the glory? And that you know, says, then the whole earth will be full of the knowledge of the glory of the Lord. That's the people. That's the sons and daughters of God. 2 Corinthians 3.18, right? As we be with unveiled face, as we behold, as in a mirror, the glory of the Lord, as Jesus reflected, the glory is you. This is interesting because I like stuff that's added. He talks about Erasmus. That's where the King James comes from. It's the Greek, the Greek uh New Testament. I think it started with Erasmus. And then I'm not going to read the Greek there. Of the one saved. He says, Erasmus added, added, he added of the one saved, and so did innumerable editors. Because it said once the one saved, it's defining the saved and unsaved in this verse. If you look in the other versions, he's saying it wasn't there before. Evidently, following his authority without any further uh examination, Codex 1 dates from the 11th to 12th century where Erasmus used used it, making his Greek text. The words of the ones saved eventually became part of the text, Texas Recepticus. And that's where it was translating the King James and New King James. Okay? The words were not in the older manuscripts. Again, manipulation of the text in order to exclude the majority of the masses. Interesting, isn't it? Something added. And I love this too, because this is really cool. This is Isaiah 35. He says the 99% that didn't respond to the good news. That's what he said up here. Okay. This reminds of a similar mistranslation in Isaiah 35.8. The highway in the wilderness will be called the highway of holiness. Now listen, it will be so obvious that no unclean person will miss it. Wow. Not even fools will get lost. Then down here, sadly in the King James says the opposite the unclean shall not pass over it. Even the unclean. Imagine that. Verse 21, and the gates will be open. How long? Always. The gates never close in the New Jerusalem. Oh, Jesus comes and we're well to judgment and da da da. It's over. Oh, we died and it's over. You had to choose before you died. Really? Grace ends when you die or when he comes back. It says the gates of the New Jerusalem will be open continually, day and night. They will never shut. And they will bring the glory and honor of the nations into her. The nations will discover their what? Redeemed, authentic doxa identity, and priceless value in what? In the light of the Lamb. While the light of the Lamb shows you how authentically identified and pricelessly valued you are. And how redeemed you are, how valued you are. How priceless you are in the light of the Lamb. That's even today, brothers and sisters. That's why we look at that's why I keep continuing the word all the time. So I always like to say I go to the Bible because I like what it says about me. We're talking New Testament here. Always, you know, I haven't said this in a while, but this is my saying I've been saying for 30 years. So the word gospel means good news. If it doesn't sound like good news is not the gospel. If it depends on you and me, it's not good news. God does not depend on us. Why? Because we're not he's not stupid. We're we're I always say this, we're undependable and he's not dumb. He depends on himself. That's why he gives it all as an inheritance, as a gift, and as a promise. Because he's not relying on you and me. Thank God. Aren't you happy about that? I sure am. Alright, 27. And no one classified as common. Who would classify other people or classify people as common? Or you might classify yourself as common. Or you could have you could go up here to verse 26 and classify yourself as redeemed, authentic, dox identity, pricelessly valued, innocent. Or you go down to 27, and no one classified as common will enter into her, nor anyone make it an abomination or a lie. But only the ones who as lies are defined by the book of life, which is defined by the tree, the the tree of Jesus Christ, which is the tree of life, and not defined by the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. That which were common, abominable, and the fruit of the deception were all dealt with in the Lamb's doing. He dealt with all that, they just don't believe it.
