A friend comes back from Paris feeling the heat from haters, and we use that story to get to a bigger truth: hate doesn’t always come from money, status, or who’s “winning.” Sometimes it comes from defeat, from not being on your feet, from watching someone else move with confidence you don’t feel in yourself. From there, the room warms up fast, because once you start talking about confidence, you’re really talking about identity, legacy, and what people think they’re entitled to know about you.
We also bring the family back together and shine a light on what we’re building. Nina shares her new venue and event space, The Blueprints Social Hub, made for the culture and for the community. Shay talks about stepping into work as a public adjuster who advocates for homeowners dealing with insurance claims, plus her Boss Friend Collection clothing line. That matters because building in public raises the stakes on one question: what parts of your life are for everyone, and what parts stay locked away?

So they asked me what the topic was today. We always we always strive and move forward for these for these topics. We always like to give an interesting show as so many times in the past. You can we actually have a catalog, you can review our podcast history and see that we've been loyal to the soil. You know, hospitality program. Uh that was a part of my message in the hospitality program was being loyal to the soil. Who's loyal to the soil? Who can uh who can who can stop you? Because you've been true to the game and loyal to the soil. Talking about CJ's hospitality program, Union Meets Beautiful Unison. That's something that I added to the game because I'm just like that. Something that was needed. We like to seek out different things that can bring positive energy and a positive change to life, to lifestyles, to our way, to our being, that's what we do. And as far as Thursday Night Society, TNS Thursday Night Society, that's just uh the brotherhood and sisterhood as well that we keep and adopt. But back to the uh the topic. We're coming in with a topic today that's something that we want to we want to bring something, we want to present something to you. We want to give something to you for you to not only live to but to think about. We want you to think about this topic. This is this is uh something that's been on my mind. I go through the catalog of topics that are created, and I and I selected this one today because I got Nina and Shea and Elena. We got a great panel. But before we get there, I want to just say this.
Where Hate Really Comes From
SPEAKER_06I was on the phone with one of my brothers that he called me from uh, he just got back from Paris. And he called me on the phone and he was talking about, you know, coming back home. He was doing more world traveling, and he said he had a few haters based on his world travels. So, you know, he calls me as a mentor. I never call myself a mentor to anyone. I never take that title, but many give me that title, but I don't take it.
SPEAKER_04Accept it.
SPEAKER_06Just accept it, but I don't I don't accept that title as mentor because I am one who had many mentors, such as Ulysses.
SPEAKER_03Gotta pay it for it, CJ. You gotta own that title.
SPEAKER_06Okay, well, he called me and he was and he was trying to find out the origin of hate, and I told him it was defeat, and he said defeat, like like losing. I said, No, literally defeat your feet, ten toes people hate because they not on their feet. You have seen scenarios, I have seen scenarios where people who have more than you hate on you because that just because they have financial means, just because they have assets, just because they have what seems to be a wonderful whimsical lifestyle, don't mean that they on their feet. Confidence is on your feet. Being assured of yourself is standing on two feet. A lot of people out there is not on their feet, and when they see you on your feet, that's what brings the anger out of them. They're not on their feet, and then you got people who are not financially on their feet, they really not on their feet. So this is where hate comes from. This is the nature of hatred. Hatred comes from not being on your feet. Some people don't know how to talk. You get the chicks over there, you get the women, you know, the beautiful, and you can't talk. But I got all the cars, I got all the clothes. Yeah, but you don't have those because you don't know how to talk. I done seen dudes leave the club with their man's in the belly. I done seen them ride home together. Dry bones. They don't have that mouth. I done seen them ride together with the sport blazer on jam. I'm like, well, we go to White Castle dog. I done seen this in my life. I done seen y'all go home dry because you ain't got the gift to gab. And that's what y'all couldn't get on y'all feet with the women. This is where hatred comes from. It's not just about goods, products, and services. It's not just about money, it's about I'm not on my feet. I don't feel secure within myself. How are you so secure?
SPEAKER_02And now I hate you for it.
SPEAKER_06And now I hate you for it. And then you hit the number. Oh, not only did you assault to the wound. Yeah, and so you and you take the knife and twist. You already stabbed, now you're twisting with the with the blade. So that's where hate comes from. And I'd explain this to him. I said, listen, they're hating on you because you on your feet. Meaning, when you were in Paris, whether you flew first class, coach, or in the in the luggage compartment, you're still confident of yourself.

So it's like, what benefit would it be to tell anybody else something that I deemed a secret that give you one up on me for a later You did though about the die? Yeah, well, one up. I mean, what do you later we talk about? But even that, my point is now I'm gonna give you some room to mess up my legacy. I didn't build a name for myself. I guess I'm saying, like, I guess I'm saying like a deep secret, like, I don't feel like it's something I will be withholding that needs to be spoken of. But what I want to do is I want to leave this world as a better place. And I feel that if I have the courage to step up strong as a man and reveal my deep dark secrets before I leave, it will encourage someone, maybe no one here, clearly no one here, but someone out there will reveal clearly no one here, but someone out there will reveal proud of my answer their deep dark secrets.

SPEAKER_06I wasn't doing it for credit, I was doing it, I'm doing this to make the world a better place. To put back into the world some correction. I don't even have a chance to do that. This is why people conscious bother them. This is why people you know murdered 20 years and then they finally go to the police station and say, Hey man, I did it. Lock me up. Do I feel these people are stupid? Yes.

SPEAKER_06But we were giving this world as the statement is to become sharper. We were given this world, and I believe that at the bottom line is I'm leaving those secrets here. I'm not taking none of that with me. I'm leaving these secrets here on the earth solved to become sharper. So we we had a great podcast today. I'm not shocked about that answer, but like I say, it was a topic, it was a question to put out there. SPEAKER_02I agree. Mental freedom is your freedom. I mean, and this is just going back to our ancestors not being physically free. And I've heard a lot of people, uh, men, I watch a lot of prison shows. Don't judge. Um, and a lot of men, a lot of men who, when they get out, who've actually turned their life around, had to learn how to be free in prison mentally, in order to be free on the outside once they got out. Yeah, it's a mind thing. It's a it's a it's a mind thing.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Yeah, same with I agree with what they say. God is at the head of your life, then that's the best freedom you can have because it's all you need in this world. Honestly, your mind to play tricks on you. So you better stay in his will and in his presence. And I promise you, you don't want to lose your mind. Stay in God.
