We could also call this message “The well and river Attributes of the Holy Spirit.”

The primary scripture for the significance of wells is below. The full story can be found in John 4:1-42. I am just including the well-relevant portion so we can stay topic centered. Ha let’s go:

John 4:13-14 “…13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”

Ok so with that beginning I will let you in on the topic. Basically, you have a well within you, and a river within you. The various scriptures will prove that out but so that I make the point I will reference the scriptures and then get to why we are listening to this message.

And so but I am doing this message in part because I have done many, many messages on why we all should be operating in Spiritual miracles, signs, and wonders, and some of us in the spiritual offices in Eph chapter 4 as well.

So you could say that I have overly emphasized the spiritual gifts given in part because they are missing in the majority of todays churches. It’s like if the churches represented hospitals, they would be almost absent of any doctors. The church in part is a spiritual hospital as well as a training center for Christians.

Now having said that, the absent of training, equipping the saints for the work of ministry and making disciples is one of the key reasons why we do not have the gifts in operation. That has been my drum beat thus far.

And but well in this reading season of which I am in right now, I have discovered some new things. Important things in terms of what a complete Christian looks like. That is how we function as authentically born-again believers able to do all that Jesus did and more. The manifestation of the gifts is only one part.
