Well, so well, well, this is not going to be a feel-good message, but one that is necessary for continued growth. I was reading the final book in a four-book series titled the Ethiopian Bible and I was noticing how authentically born Christians really rub against the religious mindsetted peeps. Meaning those who think that God approves of their lifestyle regardless of what they do, because after all they have been in church their whole life. Oftentimes these types are simply minded in that they believe if you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord you will be saved, no additional action items necessary.

Rom 10:9 - that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

You see it says it so it must be true. Well let’s look at some other samples and see if we can see a pattern or way of thinking that is expressed in the bible:

God said:

Gen 2:16-17 - 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

Gen 3:1-5 - 3 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”

Watch the twixy-conundrum. God said, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat. But satan repeated it back in a weird sort of way right: “You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” Look if you had to listen to that again, that is the catch or hook that satan intended to use.  Verse 2 - let’s see if we can see the author of confusion’s plan at work (1 Cor 14:33):

2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ”

Ok so like satan she did not quote God accurately and that is what created the crack so to speak. “You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die. In Gen 2:16-17 God didn’t say, “nor shall you touch it.” And but now before you say awe that is just being semantical, listen again to the words and how each time God is quoted they move away from what He originally stated. Hey look, she ate it and we are, all of humanity, born into sin, so I cannot be too far off of this point right?

SPEAKER_00

Hello, this is Kenny Podcast Preacher. Welcome back to my podcast Deep Waters. This podcast is brought to you by Applied Strengths Ministry, where we believe working together on our strengths is the effect of working out the will and calling of God and into our lives. Thanks for joining me. Let's open up in prayer. Bless to be the God and Father of your Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed you with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. Just as he chose you and him before the foundation of the world, that you should be holy without blame before him alone, having predestined you to adoption as a Son or daughter by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, which He purposed in Himself, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made you accepted in His love. In Him ye have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace, which He made to abound towards you, in all wisdom and prudence, having made known to you the mystery of His will, that in the dispensation and the fullness of our time, He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth in Him. I ask that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation and the knowledge of the mystery of him, to the deepest knowledge of him that you are willing and able to receive, that the eyes of your understanding would be open wider, and that you would be enlightened to who he is, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in you, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power towards you who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, which he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, that he would grant that you would be strengthened with might through his spirit in the inner man, and into your spirit and heart, and that you would be able to stand against your flesh in this world, and the devil, and into any and all temptation. I pray that your love may abound more and more in all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense until the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God. I ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will and all wisdom and spiritual understanding, that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing him, being fruitful in every good work, strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, and all patience and long suffering with joy, giving thanks to the Father who has qualified you to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints who walk in the light. I pray that your hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love and unity, and that you would attain to all the riches of the full assurance of understanding, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which has been given to each of my listeners by Christ Jesus, that you are enriched in everything by him, in all utterance and all knowledge, so that you do not come short in obtaining or operating in your calling and purpose, nor in using any spiritual gifts or talents, eagerly waiting for the continued revelation of our Lord Jesus, who will confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the near coming of the day of our Lord. God is faithful by whom you are called into the fellowship of His Son Jesus. Okay, so now therefore, my brothers and sisters in Christ, when things get tough, think about whatever things are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, and whatever things are of a good report. If there's any virtue and if there's anything praiseworthy, meditate on these things alone. I pray that in these very days that you would let your love be without hypocrisy, hate and loathe what is evil, cling to what is good and righteous, be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor, giving preference to one another, not lagging in diligence, fervent and fully engulfed in spiritual fire, serving the Lord, rejoicing in hope, walking in the peace of God, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer, distributing to the needs of the saints, that is each other, and that you would be given to hospitality. May the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like minded towards one another, according to Christ Jesus, that we learn to be of one mind and one accord, operating completely and fully in love and unity, always striving for the working out of God's specific will for each of our lives, while working in partnership with each other within the church and the Holy Spirit, as he manifests his miracle signs and wonders through the daily activities of our ministry and kingdom work, and while we also go out preaching the gospel in word indeed. Let us love and serve one another, our enemy, and those who wouldn't expect us to do so, considering each person better than ourselves. Bind up any words or thoughts that are contrary to the love of God or which would set you back in your Christian walk. Ah, step out in faith today and walk with God, being assured that nothing will separate you from him, as long as you abide in him. Call those things that don't exist as though they do. Remember he that is in you is greater than he that is in the world. Be more than a conqueror today, submitting to the will of God in everything. Let each of us express uncompromising love towards one another in humility while maintaining a teachable spirit. I pray that God will give you the revelation within this message that He intends you to receive with the understanding. Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of his knowledge in every place. In Jesus' name we pray amen. The title of this message is Left Behind Conundrum. Well so well well, this is not going to be a feel good message, but one that is necessary for continued growth. I was reading the final book in a four book series titled The Ethiopian Bible. I'm sure many of you have heard about it on social media, and I was noticing how authentically born again Christians really rub against the religious mindset peeps, meaning those who think that God approves of their lifestyle regardless of what they do, because after all, they have been in church their whole life. Oftentimes, these types are simple minded, in that they believe if you believe with your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, you will be saved. No additional action items are necessary. Romans ten nine that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. You see it says it, so it must be true, right? Well let's look at some other examples and see if we can see a pattern or way of thinking that is expressed in the Bible. God said Genesis two, sixteen through seventeen, and the Lord God commanded the man saying, Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it, you shall surely die. Genesis three one five. Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field, which the Lord God had made, and he said to the woman, Has God indeed said, You shall not eat of every tree of the garden? Now watch the Twixy conundrum. God said, Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat. But Satan repeated it back in a weird sort of way, right? You shall not eat of every tree of the garden. Question mark. Look, if you had to listen to that again, that is a catch or a hook that Satan intended to use with Eve. Verse two, let's see if we can see the author of Confucian's plan at work. Corinthians fourteen, thirty three. And the woman said to the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden, but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, least you die. Okay, so like Satan, she did not quote God accurately, and that is what created the crack, so to speak. You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it least you die. In Genesis two, sixteen through seventeen, God didn't say, Nor shall you touch it. And but now before you say, Oh, that's just being semantical. Listen again to the words and how each time God is quoted, they move away from what he originally stated. Hey look, she ate it, and we are all of humanity, born into sin. So I cannot be too far off of this point, right? So now watch as we go from confusion or a couple of different interpretations of what God actually said, and see how Satan adds his own interpretation of what God intended. Verse four. Then the serpent said to the woman, You will not surely die, for God knows that in the day that you eat of it, your eyes will be open, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil. Now an additional quacky quandary is the fact that we as humans were already made. Well, let's see it in Scripture. Genesis one twenty six. Then God said, Let us make man in our image according to our likeness. Genesis three twenty two. Then the Lord God said, Behold, the man has become like one of us, to know good and evil, and now least he put his hand out, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever. Another boom shakalaka is that this is what Satan was going for, which is that mankind would know a level of evil that God did not intend for us to know. How? Ah, by the way of the fallen sons of God, who brought heavenly knowledge to mankind, which eventually resulted in all the flesh being corrupted. Well except for Noah. Genesis chapter six. God is very precise and specific, as he knows we lack basic communication listening skills. This was a planned distortion of the scriptures to corrupt all flesh, and to try and pollute the pure seed in which Jesus was to come from. Ah, it's in a previous message, so go get it and give it a listening. So in this next conversation that Satan is having with Jesus, let's see if we can pick up on the same out of context interpretive misapplication of the Scriptures. Luke four thirteen. Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, being tempted for forty days by the devil, and in those days he ate nothing, and afterwards, when they had ended, he was hungry. And the devil said to him, If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread. But Jesus answered him saying, It is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. So let's see if we can find the original statement in the Bible and see if we can see any twisty turnies. So he humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with mana which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord. What are you saying? That Jesus needed to be humbled, Podcast Preacher? Philippians two five eight. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bond servant, and coming in the likeness of men, and being found in appearance as a man. He humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. So you see how we are knitting a sweater. At the beginning of his ministry, Satan shows up to get Jesus' eyes off of his ultimate purpose. And so Jesus was humbled in the desert, and grew to rely on God alone for his sight and voice up to and through to the very end. Then the devil taking him up on a high mountain showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said to him, All this authority I will give you and their glory, for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. Therefore, if you will worship before me, all will be yours. When Satan states this has been delivered to me, he is referring to Eve first sinning against God, and once Adam followed suit, the authority of the planet was transferred over to Satan. And why not, as Satan has always been about control? Second Corinthians four, verse four, first John five, verse nineteen, Isaiah fourteen, thirteen, Ezekiel twenty eight, one through verse nineteen. Okay, verse eight. And Jesus answered and said to him, Get behind me, Satan, for it is written, you shall worship the Lord your God, and him only you shall serve. twenty. You shall fear the Lord your God, you shall serve him, and him you shall hold fast, and take oaths in his name. Okay, so the first two attempts to get Jesus to compromise failed, so Satan resorted to quoting what he thinks God said. Alright, just like in the garden, right? Verse nine. Then he brought him to Jerusalem, set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said to him, If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down from here, for it is written, He shall give his angels charge over you, to keep you, and in their hands they shall bear you up, least you dash your foot against a stone. And Jesus answered and said to him, It has been said, you shall not tempt the Lord your God. The deception in Satan's quotation of Psalms ninety one eleven through twelve, and Luke four, ten through eleven lies in selective omission and twisting the context. The specific description includes omission of a critical phrase. Satan left out the phrase to guard you in all your ways. In Scripture, our ways refers to the paths of obedience and the will of God. By dropping this, Satan turned a promise of protection during everyday obedience into a blank check for reckless, self induced danger, turning trust into presumption. Psalm ninety one is a promise of God's sovereign protection when a believer is walking the path he has laid out. Satan used it to tempt Jesus to throw himself off the temple to force a miraculous rescue, which changes the meaning from trusting God to testing God. Jesus recognized this deception, refuting Satan's twisting of the text by quoting Deuteronomy sixteen You shall not tempt the Lord your God. Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from him until an opportune time. Okay, so Paul stated we are not unaware of Satan's devices, right? Second Corinthians two eleven, least Satan should take advantage of us, for we are not ignorant of his devices. So to wrap up this portion into a tidy package, the point was to address the widespread deception that all you have to do is in Romans ten nine, that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. And now but we know that this is not entirely true, is it? Otherwise the Bible would be nothing more than a fortune cookie. In these final days I'm already seeing an enormous amount of compromise, spiritual pride, which can be discovered by a person's willingness to listen to others, especially when maybe something is not correct in their life or that their words do not align with how they themselves are living. I think it represents an extreme sort of casualness about the times that we are living in. I have heard how a person can use all the correct Christian easy language, which is really intended to convince others that they are truly spiritual and walk close to God. And I would but suggest that if you want people to be aware that you walk close to God, then you should exhibit God's fruit of the Spirit and His love and sacrifice. Don't say one thing, and then do another. Even a baby Christian can see spiritual pride. They will know you by your works Matthew seven, sixteen through twenty, James two eighteen, and John thirteen, thirty five. Spiritual pride, the unteachableness of many saints, the self righteousness of many saints, the heaping up of pastors who are more like life coaches instead of shepherds, who are actively taking care of their flocks. We have too many figurehead pastors, and too many people that have come to accept that this is okay. Isaiah forty two eight. In part it states I am the Lord, that is my name, and my glory I will not give to another. I think we should define spiritual pride as it is a biggie and see if any leaven of pride is creeping around your churchy neighborhood. Spiritual pride in the Bible is defined as considering oneself spiritually superior to others based on religious knowledge, practices, or status. So I must interrupt your movie for an important announcement regarding that there very statement. The danger of walking a mile in your pridey shoes is that at some point it will be difficult for you to see that this is the definition of your walk with God. We all have spiritual blind spots, and therefore need others to be invited into our lives before we become so spiritually self righteous that we become unable to discern the voice of God over Satan's. On to the definition. It is considered one of the most grievous sins because it twists sacred gifts into self righteousness, causing individuals to forget that grace is an unearned gift from God. The Bible frequently warns against this self elevation and outlines its dangers through direct teachings, parables, and historical examples. The core teaching of warning is simple, the danger of arrogance. Proverbs sixteen eighteen warns that pride goes before the destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall, serving as a reminder that spiritual arrogance inevitably leads to ruin. I've seen this too many times in my life, and I have watched the complete and utter destruction of a work with more than fourteen years of invested build time. All it would have taken to stop the end of the work was a humble spirit and a listening ear. I have been part of two church works which no longer exist today because of an unwillingness to change or to listen to differing views. You lose, we lose, the devil wins. You can read the book of Esther and see how far a person is willing to go to be right or in control. The Queen lost everything because of the word no. She lacked wisdom and insight regarding the situation and made a wrong call that changed her life forever. Back to it, God's opposition, both James four six and Proverbs three thirty four explicitly state that God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Some key biblical examples, the parable of the Pharisees and the tax collector. That's in Luke eighteen, nine through fourteen. We'll get to that in a minute. This is the clearest New Testament example. Jesus described a Pharisee who publicly thanks God that he is not like other men, or the tax collector. The Pharisee's pride blinded him to his own spiritual need. Listen to that. The Pharisee's pride blinded him. That means if you're operating in spiritual pride, you are literally blind and cannot see it. While the humble, repentant tax collector was the one justified before God. There's no way you can be an independent Christian separate and apart from other believers speaking into your life. That's not the relational God that we serve. It's a way to hide, that's what it is, but we'll get to that later. Luke eighteen fourteen. Also, he spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves, that they were righteous and despised others. Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself. God I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. I fast twice a week, I give tithes of all that I possess, and the tax collector standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other, for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted. Keep in mind the Pharisee represented the pastors of the church of the day. If anyone should have known better, it should have been them. The warning to the Corinthians eight one the apostle Paul cautioned the early church that knowledge puffs up but love builds up, indicating that possessing spiritual knowledge without humility leads to destructive pride. I would also add that too much knowledge without any or much corresponding action or works can lead to a knowledge puffy life as well. King Isaiah Second Chronicles twenty sixteen When Isaiah became powerful and experienced great spiritual victories, his heart was lifted up to his destruction. His pride led him to unlawfully enter the temple to burn incense, resulting in him being struck with leprosy until the day he died. A life altering decision in the blink of an eye, and you still say this would never bother me. You then, my friend, are already on your way. Past ministry performance does not guarantee future ministry success. Lamentations three twenty two twenty three. Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness, and if we need it every morning, that means every morning we got to be paying attention. A biblical antidote throughout Scripture, the remedy for spiritual pride is a posture of humility, recognizing personal unworthiness, and giving all glory to God. Believers are encouraged to focus on Christ rather than on their own perceived religious accomplishments. I would also add a scripture too that keeps popping up in my head. Let's see if it has any meaning to our lives today. Matthew ten twenty five. It is enough for a disciple that he be like his teacher. If you think you are spiritually ahead of the person who is teaching you, then find someone who is miles ahead of you and get to learning. Yes, I would agree that too many church injuries occur in part to unqualified and in many cases self appointed teachers, thinking that they are all that in a bag of chips. We need to take the making of life learners, or by another title, disciples, way more seriously than we currently do. Perhaps your church doesn't even have a solid discipleship program or ministry development program, or no one is equipping the saints for the work of ministry, and if this is the case in your church, I would leave that non work and take your end time commission way more seriously. If you are a puller backer, meaning that rather than to deal with the mess that you might find yourself in, you stop participating in any religious reindeer games, meaning you stop attending meetings, which up to the time that you stopped showing up, it was thought that those meetings were necessary, productive, and mandatory. Then you are on the backslidden road, and have opened up unnecessary spiritual warfare in your lives and in the lives of others whom you may be giving an account of in heaven. Hebrews ten thirty eight through thirty nine. Now the just shall live by faith, but if anyone draws back, my soul has no pleasure in him. But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul. That God's statement in verse thirty eight should wake and quake us to deal with our stuff as soon as possible. A pot ignored is a fire waiting to happen. Now to deal with this other position the self righteous might take. Jesus is the only one I know who went straight to the Father for instruction, teaching and everything else that Jesus walked in while he was on the planet. Everybody else is surrounded by people who can help them who are full of the Holy Spirit. If they are full of something else, such as something found in a field like a cow patty, then you shouldn't be surrounding yourself with them because as wise as they might think that they are, the stink will always give them away. Isn't it true that discernment can oftentimes come from a scent of something, be it a rose or of an off putting skunk like aberr? What's difficult for me to see is how easy dissension and disunity and this strange sort of eagerness to prove what one knows about the Bible over another is happening. James four one through two. Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desire for pleasure that war in your members? You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war, yet you do not have because you do not ask. Whatever happened to our focus on doing what Jesus called us to do, how have we come to this so quickly? If all of this is new information to you, then good, perhaps it hasn't hit your area yet, but it is definitely a significant part of the in time behavior of people who just did not take God seriously enough. The ten virgins all attended the same church, and they all had oil and lamps, but only five of them prepared for the unexpected, and in doing so, when the other five showed up, who no doubt told the original five, Well, no no, we're good with God. We all went to the same church as you guys did, right? But when they showed up at the spaceship door in the cornfield, Jesus said, I don't know who you are. If that's not a finality statement moment, that should shock you white, I'm not sure of a sterner statement from the Lord. How does one recover from believing at one point in time that they were good with God? And then when they hear it from the mouth of God that they are not good with God, how do they even process that? There is no going back from that statement. Away with you, I don't know who you are. How many times has Jesus shared this very uncomfortable moment in the Bible? We will take a look, and but also consider his audience and who he is speaking to. Supposed believers is his audience, and but they claim to know him while ignoring the growth process down here, and have paid a strange price to end up in hell. Matthew seven, fifteen through twenty three. But wear false prophets who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? Even so every tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and torn into the fire. Therefore, by their fruits you will know them. Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name, cast out demons in your name, and done many wonders in your name? And then I will declare to them, I never knew you, depart from me, you who practice lawlessness. Notice that these so called called ones were operating in miracle signs and wonders, and yet they didn't get in. I also believe that many who are falsies will be unaware that they are falsies. Yep, the Old Testament is full of stories, whereby people were unaware that they were standing on the wrong spiritual side of an issue. Matthew twenty five, one through twelve. Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps, but took no oil with them. But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. At midnight a cry was heard, Behold the bridegroom is coming, go out to meet him. And all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out. But the wise answered, saying, No, least there should not be enough for us and you, but go rather to seven eleven and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding, and the door was shut. eleven. Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, as they were gnawing on their slurpes and their hot dogs, Lord, Lord, open up to us. But he answered and said, Assuredly I say to you, I do not know you. Those five virgins who didn't get in the spaceship were hiding in the church, and must have had some element of being unteachable. Otherwise, they might have just made it onto the spaceship. Luke thirteen, twenty three through twenty seven. Then one said to him, Lord are there few who are saved. And he said to them, Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able. When once the master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open up for us and he will answer and say to you, I do not know you where you are from. Then you will begin to say, We ate, we drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets. But he will say, I tell you, I do not know you where you are from. Depart from me, all you workers of inequity. If I'm being honest, church is a lot of work. And the last thing I would want to do is spend my entire life, well, for me about thirty years so far, working in a church only to find out I was doing all the wrong work. One of the power hinge words is few, that is few find it. Jeremiah four twenty two for my people are foolish. They have not known me. They are silly children, and they have no understanding. They are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge. Second Thessalonians one eight, in flaming fire, taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Okay, so there are more, more scriptures regarding knowing God. Many actually state the obvious about those who simply reject him, so the outcome is that they would not know him, or that he wouldn't know them. But what we are focused on is the crowd that feels like they are good with God, but by all accounts, based on their spiritual immature behavior, they are not, and are unaware that they do not know God, nor does he know them. sixteen They profess to know God, but in their works they deny him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work. So if, for example, you refuse to change or to listen to those around you who are in the know, then you are setting yourself up for quite a surprise. Remember Judas was casting out demons in one breath, and then became occupied by Satan in another, based on one bad decision Luke ten one through seventeen and Luke twenty two three. And so it is for this reason why these in time behavioral types of messages are necessary, so that we don't have a lot of people who listen to this podcast standing on the outside looking in, but rather being prepared for what is already taking place right now under our very noses. Hosiah four six, my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge. I also will reject you from being priest for me. Because you have forgotten the law of God, I will also forget your children. 1 John 4 8, he who does not love does not know God, for God is love. Will you be left behind along with so many others who out and out did not know God, nor want to? Check yourself and see if there be any evil way in you. Psalms 139, 23 to 24. Search me, O God, and know my heart. Try me and know my anxieties, and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me into the way of everlasting. Let's close in prayer. May the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, so that you may establish your heart blameless in holiness before your God and Father at the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ with all his things. Now may the God of peace, the one in whom we call wonderful counselor, mighty God, everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace, may He Himself sanctify you completely. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless of the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. To our Lord of Lords and our King of Kings, to our high and lifted and great high priest, who has, once and for all, paid the price. As you might see and hear God, may He hear and respond to our prayers. To our God we stand and pray as He too always lives to make intercession for you, while seated at the right hand of the Father. May the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, the great shepherd of the sheep, who the blood of the everlasting covenant make you complete in every good work to do his will, working in you and is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom we glory forever and ever. Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen. Well that's it for today.
