In World News…
Australia’s prime minister, Anthony Albanese, says his government would support UK plans to remove Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor from the royal line of succession. He shared this view in a letter to Sir Keir Starmer, the UK Prime Minister.
Andrew was recently arrested and released under investigation. He denies any wrongdoing. Removing him from the succession would require a new law passed by Parliament and approval from Commonwealth countries where King Charles III is head of state.
The UK government says it is considering its options. Buckingham Palace has not yet commented. Some politicians have called for caution until the police investigation is complete. The case continues to attract attention both in Britain and abroad.
Business News
China’s renewable energy boom is reshaping global business. The country now has over 1,000 gigawatts of solar capacity and produces more solar panels than the rest of the world combined. Backed by state support, Chinese firms have driven prices down worldwide, making solar cheaper for many countries.
But success has created problems. Too many panels and components have led to oversupply, price wars, and heavy financial pressure on manufacturers, with some predicting major losses.
Globally, China’s dominance is hard to ignore. Its scale is speeding up the clean-energy transition while also increasing other nations’ reliance on Chinese technology — creating both opportunity and economic tension in the global energy market.

Across snow and ice, the competition was fierce and full of unforgettable moments.
Self-development
Today we are exploring the idea of ego states from the world of Transactional Analysis.
In simple terms, we all move between three states.
Parent – the voice of rules and judgments.
Child – the emotional, reactive part of us.
Adult – the calm, present state that responds rather than reacts.
Everyday conversations often shift because of these states. A critical tone can trigger defensiveness. A stressful comment can spark irritation. Suddenly, you are reacting instead of communicating.
The key skill is staying in Adult. That might mean pausing before replying, asking curious questions, or softening your language. Instead of saying “That makes no sense,” try “Can you walk me through your thinking?”
This works at home, at work, and even in your internal dialogue. Adult isn’t cold - it’s simply grounded.
So, when conversations go wrong for you, which ego state do you tend to fall into?
Well, that’s all from NEWS OF THE WORLD for now. I hope you connect with your inner Adult today, and I’ll talk to you soon! Take care!
