France will choose a new president next year, and many people are asking whether politics is becoming too divided. Right now, former Prime Minister Edouard Philippe is seen as the strongest moderate candidate.
Polls suggest he could beat far-right politicians Marine Le Pen or Jordan Bardella.
France’s voting system means that if too many centre candidates run, they could split the vote and help more extreme parties.
Issues like immigration, living costs and public services are pushing many voters toward stronger political messages. Although Philippe currently looks strong, a lot can change before election day. France’s political story is still developing.

Ferrari has launched its first fully electric car called Luce, which means “light” in Italian. It costs around $640,000 and is also Ferrari’s first five-seater car.
The car is very fast, reaching sixty miles per hour in around 2.5 seconds using electric motors on all four wheels.
People have reacted very differently. Some think the design is exciting and modern, while others believe Ferrari is moving too far away from its traditional style.
The launch comes as other luxury car brands are reducing their electric plans because demand has been weaker than expected.
Now Ferrari is testing whether electric supercars are the future.
Entertainment
Stephen Colbert has hosted his final episode of The Late Show after eleven years on air.
His last show was emotional but also full of humour. Instead of focusing on controversy surrounding the cancellation, Colbert thanked his audience, team and viewers for their support.
Several famous guests appeared during the show, including Paul Rudd and Bryan Cranston, before Paul McCartney became the final guest of the night. McCartney performing at the Ed Sullivan Theater felt special because The Beatles also performed there in 1964.
Colbert said his show became about experiencing and understanding the news together.
Now people are asking: what will Stephen Colbert do next?
Sport
Las Vegas is hosting the first-ever Enhanced Games, a sports event where athletes are allowed to use performance-enhancing drugs banned in normal competitions.
Supporters say the Games celebrate science, human progress and honesty because athletes openly admit what they are using. Some competitors are attracted by large payments and million-dollar rewards for breaking records.
But many people strongly disagree. Sports organisations say it sends a dangerous message and could encourage cheating or unhealthy behaviour. Health experts also warn about possible risks, including heart problems and mental health effects.
The big question is this: how far should sport go in pushing human limits?

Today I want to talk about purpose. Many people think purpose means discovering one big mission in life, but it can be much simpler than that.
Purpose is having a sense that what you do matters to you. It gives direction and can help during difficult times. When life feels stressful or uncertain, purpose can remind us why we are doing something and help us keep moving forward.
People who feel a strong sense of purpose often feel more motivated and resilient. It can affect work, relationships and daily choices.
The good news is that purpose is not something only a few people have. It can change over time and grow with us.
Sometimes purpose begins by noticing what gives you energy, what you care about and what makes you feel most like yourself.
Well, that’s all from NEWS OF THE WORLD for now. I hope you explore your purpose today, and I’ll talk to you soon! Take care!
