Speaker 1:

hello everyone. I'm victoria, and before we jump into the first official episode, one that drops on july 7th, I just wanted to take a few minutes to tell you who I am, where I've come from and why this podcast even exists. Because, let's be honest, when you're listening to someone talk about business or about anything, it really does help to know who the hell they are and what they've actually done. So here is me in a nutshell. I actually started on stage, not in business. I was a singer. I nearly signed a record deal. I got very, very close, but the truth is that industry felt like a shaky game. It was very, very precarious. I had a young son. I was a single mum and I needed something solid, very solid. So I kept performing and that's what put food on the table when my son, harry, was little. I don't regret a second of it. Performing gave me presence, resilience, confidence, presence, resilience, confidence definitely things now that I bring into business, but also my everyday life. But business, that's always been there.

Speaker 1:

I started working in my dad's company when I was eight I know, right, eight years old. I was so young and it was over in one of his companies in St Albans. It shaped me. That business gave me the kind of grounding you can't learn from a course. I learned by doing, by watching, by being around real work, real people and real responsibility. Later I built my own business from the ground up and then COVID hit and, like a lot of us, I had to pivot. I started helping other entrepreneurs, especially those who needed guidance, structure and someone who actually does get it, and someone who actually does get it. I run my own business.

Speaker 1:

I still support my dad's company since he actually passed away five months ago, and I carry his belief in me everywhere I go. He was my business mentor, he was my dad, but he was also the person that I went to in business. He always knew that I'd end up doing this, helping people, building things that actually matter, with real strategy and mindset behind it, and that is something that I have brought into my business, something called the Martin Strange effect, which I'm currently still just working on behind the scenes, and it's going to focus on mindset and method, because the two are needed together, because the truth is you do need both. It's not just about the plan and it's just not about the mindset, it's, it's both always so if you're someone who wants honest, clear support in business from someone who has definitely lived it, who's failed 100, who's rebuilt 150% pushed through loss still shows up, then stick around.

Speaker 1:

We have got some incredible things coming up this year and they're all for you, the entrepreneur who's ready to build something tangible, something real, welcome, welcome to Business. Build with Strategy.
