We have just over four and a half months left until the end of the year, which is more than enough time to make a real shift in your business if you follow your strategy.

• Four and a half months equals about 20 weeks – enough time to build and launch an offer, grow your email list, or strengthen your systems
• Avoid the trap of thinking "I'll just wait until January" which wastes nearly half a year
• Choose one main business goal for the remainder of the year that would put you in a different position
• Break your goal down into weekly wins by reverse engineering it into 20 weekly steps
• Cut time wasters by asking if each task directly helps reach your goal
• Small, consistent actions create compound results better than bursts of effort followed by burnout
• The end of the year isn't a waiting room for January – it's a runway for your business

If you want clear, practical strategies you can use right away, follow Business Built with Strategy wherever you listen to your podcasts and share this episode with someone who's ready to end their year strong.

Speaker 1:

Hello everyone. It's Victoria here and welcome back to another episode of Business Built with Strategy. So we have got just over four and a half months left until the end of the year. I know, obviously, you know I did know roughly how long we had until December 31st, but actually when I did look at it on the calendar, I mean I don't know where this year's gone. It's, yeah, I mean, for me it's definitely been a crazy year, but yeah, I was a little shocked. But looking at it positively, that is more than enough time to make a real shift in your business.

Speaker 1:

If you follow your strategy Because here's the truth if you do exactly what you've been doing now and it isn't working, you'll be in exactly the same place come December 31st. So this is your chance, I guess, to go back onto your strategy, have a look at it. Is it working? What's not working? What is working? Change things up if you need it, so that you can achieve those goals that you want to achieve by the end of the year.

Speaker 1:

So this episode is about making these next few months count so you can step into the new year already moving forward, not starting over, and I know that does happen to a lot of people. They work all year and then they get to the end of the year and they're like, oh, I'll just start over in January. And the thing is you, you really don't want to be doing that. So the biggest trap in these last months of the year is thinking it's nearly the holidays, I'll just wait until January. As I just said, that's how people waste almost half a year without even noticing. It's not about working yourself into the grounds, because that's no good to anyone. It's about refusing to coast. Okay, and if you are coasting, then you need to be looking at your strategy.

Speaker 1:

Four and a half months is around 20 weeks. Yeah, it's around 20 weeks, isn't it? So if you use those 20 weeks with focus, you could build and launch an offer. Add hundreds to your email list, create content that works for you while you sleep, strengthen your systems so that when you get to January, you are organized, you know exactly what you've got to do, what you've got to get, what you've got to hit and where you want to be. The question isn't oh, can I do it? It's am I willing to stop drifting? And sometimes I think we can be drifting and not realize. So you go back. You look at your plan, you look at your strategy and you make some good decisions. You get clear on one main goal. Trying to overhaul everything at once guarantees that you're. You're just watered down your results.

Speaker 1:

Pick one main business goal for the rest of the year. Maybe it's getting your first paid clients. Maybe it's getting more paid clients, launching a new service, creating a solid marketing rhythm. Ask yourself, if I achieved this one thing by December 31st, would I be in a different place in my business? If the answer is yes, that is your focus. That is going to be your main focus.

Speaker 1:

And then break it down into weekly wins 20 weeks. Write down your goal, then reverse engineer down into weekly wins 20 weeks. Write down your goal, then reverse engineer it into weekly steps. For example uh, book five new clients before the end of the year. So that's your goal. Uh, then this week, update your service page, email your list, post three pieces of value-driven content with call to actions. Then next week, follow up on the past leads. Record a video answering a common client question. Reach out to potential clients Each week, check did I move the needle towards my goal?

Speaker 1:

If the answer's no, then you know that you must adjust things it has to be done. Cut the time wasters. This is so important. You don't have the luxury of wasting weeks on things that make you look busy but don't create results. How many of you have spent weeks? Many of you have spent weeks, maybe months, creating, but actually it's not moved your business needle once, not even a little bit.

Speaker 1:

So you ask yourself daily does this task directly help me reach my goal? Is there a faster way to do it? Can I stop doing it entirely? You have to be asking yourself questions, and if you're not, why? Why are you not asking yourself these questions? Free up your energy for the work that does actually matter. That does actually matter. And you know, keep it simple and consistent. Small, consistent actions will do more for you in the next four and a half months than one burst of effort followed by burnout. I've had burnout. It's not nice. It's really awful. Think of it like compounding. The results stack faster when you keep showing up, even in very, very small ways.

Speaker 1:

So the end of the year isn't a waiting room for January, and I know a lot of people do this. It's a runway. If you want to be in a different place on December 31st, pick one goal. Strip away the distractions and work it every week until you get there. Decide on your one goal today, write it down, break it into weekly actions and start now. Don't wait for the perfect time. Believe me, there is never a perfect time. These next 20 weeks can change everything Cliche, I know. Game changer, though, can be a game changer.
