Are your big goals starting to feel heavy, fuzzy, or just plain overwhelming?

Yep, I’ve been there too, especially around February when motivation dips and the plans we made in January feel miles away.

That’s why I’ve stopped obsessing over big-picture outcomes and started to track small wins every single day instead. It’s the simplest shift with the biggest impact on my mindset, momentum, and results.

In this episode, I’m showing you how daily business tracking can actually help you hit those goals, without the stress of long-term planning.

What you’ll learn:

  • Why focusing on outcomes alone keeps you stuck
  • How to use a daily progress tracker to build consistency
  • What to write down (and why notes matter just as much as numbers)
  • My go-to tool for goal tracking for entrepreneurs
  • How celebrating tiny wins creates long-term success

Overall, I’m sharing exactly what I track, how I do it in under 2 minutes a day, and how it keeps me consistent even when life gets wild.

Hey, I'm Lucy Reyes, your host of the Cheerful Productive Chats Podcast, where I'm on a mission to help online entrepreneurs that like you focus on all the right things and kiss overwhelmed goodbye. Here, you're going to learn strategies that will boost your productivity so that you can scale your online biz and impact lives sooner. It's your time to shine. So let's get started Hey, Hey, welcome back to the cheerful, productive chats podcast. We are in a February, and this is typically the time when our goals are to go out the window. We're shifting our plans yet again. And. It seems to happen every single year. And this year is definitely. Not any different in that regards and definitely has been a lot more mentally and emotional draining, at least on my end. So let's talk about. How we can shift from it feeling like we're not making enough progress towards our big goals, because let's be real. We might not even know what they are anymore, or they just keep changing over and over and over again. So instead let's shift and talk about how tracking some mall wins. Every single day can actually lead to those big results that you want over time. And right now. In this state in this moment in time, it feels a lot less overwhelming to just think about that one next step. What can I do today? What is the next tiny action that I can take? Because you know what. I can't even handle doing these a big, massive. Five year plans. Like I can't even think about what I'm going to be doing. In Q4 or Q3, because it's definitely going to look a lot different than it does right now. So. Let's talk about just focusing on those really, really small wins, because what this really means is that you are just focusing on that, that next step. You're not thinking about, you know, I want, for example, to reach. Let's say you want to reach your first 1000 email subscribers. And that goal might seem super unachievable. Maybe you've started Facebook ads. And your goal with Facebook ads is to get, let's say 200 email subscribers per month. And that seems like a far stretch. So instead of focusing on that big number, that just feels so far away. focus on what you can do. Every single day, break it down into those small goals and celebrate those small wins. Even if you just go one subscriber. Well, Hey, that's a one, a person closer to your 200 or 1000 goal, right? So really focus on these small, tiny wins. But more than that, you really want to make sure that you're tracking the small wins, because it helps you create this sense of progress and achievement. So it's almost like habit tracking when you're tracking your habits and making sure that you. Drink your water every morning that you. I don't know, whatever other habits. You might be working on it's the same concept, but with your goals and instead of tracking those big, huge goals, which yes, you still want to keep in mind, but let's break them down into some daily bite-size steps. By breaking them down into these bite-sized steps. You're taking something that feels way too far away, too unattainable way, too overwhelming into something so much smaller. That actually feels more manageable and achievable. And not just that, whenever you are tracking these small wins specifically in a daily basis or on a daily basis, these actions are eventually going to add up to Sydney. progress towards your bagel goal. And it's giving you a visual. You are seeing it firsthand. What you have done every single day. Not only are you seeing a, what you have achieved every single day, but by tracking everything on a daily basis, You're giving yourself the ability to also take some notes on what may have helped you achieve that number or that little small win. Maybe it was nothing. Maybe there was one day where you went without getting an email subscribers, and now you can reflect because it's fresh on your mind. You can say, okay, I didn't get any subscribers. Did I even do anything yesterday that could've potentially helped me get more subscribers? Honestly, sometimes for me, it's no. My notes. Say I didn't have any sale going on. I didn't send any emails. I didn't pause on social media. I didn't record a podcast episode. And then it's like, okay, well, that's why. Right. It's almost like the validation of like, okay, there's nothing wrong with me or my business. I, you know, start to hold myself accountable because I, I did not do what I needed to do to make this small goal, or even to get that one new subscriber. So not only does it start to help you. Make make it seem more manageable and achievable to reach that bigger, bigger goal that you're aiming for. But it helps you stay accountable, hold yourself accountable to what you are and are not to doing to help you achieve that goal. And if you do have any small wins that you can celebrate, well, now you're celebrating it and you're making note of how you achieve that. So if you did get. using the same example, two email subscribers, and you're like, oh yeah, well, I post that on my Instagram stories. You do a little bit of digging and you're like, oh yeah. These people came from my Instagram stories. Well guess what? Now, you know, that those Instagram stories that you're posting is helping. So what do you do? You can do more. You can share more Instagram stories. Likewise. If you go five days posting on Instagram stories, that's in your notes and you're not seeing the results. You can make a decision of, do I want to continue trying this for, you know, the minimum recommended time of 90 days or whatever? Or is it taking up too much of my time? Is it really hard for me is you can start to assess in real time how you're feeling about the things that you're doing. And if they seem to be working or not. Let me throw in this caveat. Um, there's a lot of things that you're going to have to do consistently for a longer period of time. And I don't recommend that you go and change everything just because you don't see results in one week of doing something, but by keeping track of these notes while they're fresh in your head, it'll give you more notes for you to reference back. Whenever it is time to assess whether something has been working or not. Okay. So. Really these small wins that you're tracking every single day. We'll eventually add up to significant progress towards your bigger goal. Or it will give you some amazing insight as to what has been working and what hasn't been working. Insight of the productive entrepreneurs club. I actually just uploaded a brand new, a resource, the goal to habit roadmap, which is really this concept of breaking down your bigger goal. And. Putting it into bite-sized habits that can help you reach that goal a whole lot easier. So you can join us at inside of the productive entrepreneurs club for just$7 a month, had to cheers to productivity.com/club to grab that resource. And everything else that's inside. Okay. So there's one thing that I want you to do is to pick one thing. Just pick that one thing to track today. And see how it feels. See how it feels. Tracking does not need to be overwhelming. It can be. As simple as just tracking one thing a day, it can be. The daily sales that you're getting, it can be the number of subscribers that you're getting to be the Instagram followers. It can be whatever thing that you want to focus on, that you have been trying to grow. Just pick that one thing and track it every single day. With how I mentioned of taking note of the number, You definitely want to keep track of the number, but also some quick notes. What did you do? That may have caused this number, whether it's a good one or a bad one. And if you want, like a more simple, simple way of how to do this, then I have created a brand, a new, a daily stats tracker. It's a Trello template. To make it super easy to track your small wins every single day. This is the exact template that I have been using myself for quite some time. Now, where I personally like to track my daily sales, I'm tracking the number of email subscribers that I have. I'm tracking the revenue that I'm getting per my platform, because I have my a Thrivecart platform. And I also have at my cheerful productivity shop, which is through Shopify. So I'm tracking all of those numbers. Every single day and yeah, I'm keeping notes of it. I haven't mapped out ready to go for the whole month. I have some automations in there to make it so much easy. Like I'm telling you, this process takes me less than five minutes to do every morning. Probably two minutes tops. Per day and it's so, so insightful. So I'm going to drop that link in the show notes. If you want to go check it out to make it so easy for you to. I keep track of multiple stats, but honestly, just start. if you take away anything from this episode, it's to just start tracking. And then just see how it feels. This template and this process is really just designed to make it so much easier for you to. Track your small wins and become more efficient at it. But even just the habit of tracking in general, no matter how you may do that, whether it's on paper as Bridgette, another tool, however you want to track it, it's all going to help you stay consistent with doing the thing that you're trying to do and achieve the goal you're trying to achieve. And also start to see that what you are doing matters. Literally. What you're doing, not only matters from a purpose standpoint, but also what you're doing, the tasks that you're doing, the actions that you're taking on your day to day. Matters, because those are the tasks that you're trying to go for. And if your task, your actions are not lining up with the goals. Then you got some work to do. But you won't know, unless you start to track this information. So. Definitely just start, pick something, track it and grab the template. If you want to make it easier for you and just start celebrating era daily wins. No matter how small they may seem. All right. I will talk to you in the next episode.
