Ever feel like you've got all the "right" business systems in place, but something still feels off?

In this episode, I'm pulling back the curtain on the rebrand, the pattern I kept hearing from solopreneurs that sparked it all, and what this shift means for you moving forward.

What You’ll Learn:

  • The surprising thing thriving solopreneurs have that struggling ones don't (hint: it's not another app or tool)
  • Why adding more to your business is quietly making the overwhelm worse
  • What's changing on the podcast, what's staying the same, and who this show is really for now
  • The aha moment that completely shifted how I support business owners juggling real life
  • A behind-the-scenes look at how I got clarity on this next chapter (and how you can too)

If you've ever felt like business advice doesn't quite fit the real life you're actually living, this is the episode that's going to make everything click.

The business owners I see thriving aren't the ones with the most perfect systems, the cleanest homes, or the color-coded Trello boards. They're the ones that realize that business systems and real-life rhythms support each other, and that's what this rebrand is all about. So let's talk about it.

Welcome to the Cheers to Better Systems Podcast. Yep, you heard that right. We have a new name. If you're new around here, hey, I'm so glad you're here. You might be like, "What is going on?" "This is the first time I'm tuning in." But if you've been with me for a while, then you know that this used to be the Cheerful Productive Chats Podcast. So today is a big day. We got a new name, we got new cover art, but it's the same me, the same heart, and we are going to have a whole lot more clarity on who this show is for and what we're actually doing here together. So this show is for solopreneurs who are running a business while juggling all of the real-life things, so parenting, caregiving, day jobs, health, neurodivergent brains, like all of the things, but still want sustainable systems and practical, no-fluff strategies that actually fit into your life. Not the perfectly planned one that we all wish we had, but the one that we got. The actual life that we got with all of the curve balls and all of the plans not going according to plan. That is who this show is for. And today, we're gonna talk about the pattern that I kept hearing over and over and over again through a lot of market research that I've been doing in the past months that ultimately led to the rebrand of this podcast. We're gonna talk about what's changing and what's staying the same and what to expect from the show going forward. So I'm so, so excited because for a while there has been this feeling that something has been off about the podcast. But I couldn't name what it was yet. I just knew that there was something missing, that something was going to need to change. And so you may have noticed, and this has been, like, a while, guys, like a while. You know, you've seen me come on and off the podcast. You know, I've had my breaks, and then I come back, and then I have another break. And that is because I'm trying to figure out something is off, right? And so what I ultimately ended up doing was I had to sit down and do some very intentional praying and journaling to really get clarity on what was next. So I actually broke down my whole process on getting business clarity in episode 112. So if you want that full breakdown, go back and listen to that, 'cause that's where I break it down. But what came out of this quiet time for me was the realization that something needed to change. I just didn't know what it was yet. But then things started happening in my favor. And once I acknowledged and knew that the change was coming, from there I needed direction. I needed opinions. I needed information. And the direction actually came from you, my audience, through all of the surveys that I've been sending out in the past months, the polls, the market research calls. So truly, if you have ever filled out a survey, answered a poll, or hopped on a call with me, genuinely, thank you so much. You are a big reason why this rebrand is what it is. So this pattern really came out of all of those conversations, and so let's get into what those patterns are in just a second. But before we dive in, if you're not in my free community yet, that is where these conversations are going to keep going after each episode ends. The link is in the show notes, so come hang out with us, especially if you're listening to this in real time, because there is such a fun punch card game running in there right now with incentives and prizes. More on that in the end. But if you are listening to this in real time, go join my free community. It's the best time. All right. So let's dive into this pattern that ultimately led the, to the rebrand. So the one... The main things that I kept hearing over and over in the market research calls, seeing in the surveys that, yes, AI helped me, helped me go through and figure out what people were saying. There was a... It came down to really four things. Business owners were really struggling to set up or stick with business systems for various reasons. Some of those reasons were they felt like they weren't working, and they just didn't know why. Like, they, they were like, "It's not working, but I have no idea why that is." Some of them were trying to fix their systems by adding more things into their business. So more tools, more apps, more strategies, more planning, more complexity. And they were still feeling super scattered and overwhelmed. But that was, like, the surface level conversations that I was having. These are the things that people were telling me, right? But it's my job to kinda decipher all of that information and be like, "Okay, what is the root cause of all of this," right? That is why I am here. That is why I'm a productivity strategist and coach, because that is what I help you with. I help you see the things that you cannot see for yourself. So the common denominator through all of these surveys and calls that I kept noticing was it was just It was not just a business systems problem. The ones that were really struggling the most with their business systems also didn't have much support in their real life. So I'm talking about not having consistent routines, no rhythm around rest, no support systems at home. The ones that were thriving, the ones that were doing good or okay or decent, they had business and real life, some sort of systems supporting those aspects, which means that they support each other. So this was my huge aha moment, where I was like, "Oh, my gosh. I need to provide support for starting with the life foundational systems, not just business, to truly help you succeed." It was generally one of those moments where I was like, "Oh, my gosh." Like, I remember, like, instantly telling my husband, like, "Oh, my gosh, I just had my revelation. Like, this is, this is what has been missing." And then that's when it was like, "Okay, now I need to shift things around." That is when I decided and started making the changes towards this rebrand. That is when I opened up my free community so I could keep these conversations going. That is that is what led me here. The Cheerful Productive Chats podcast has been around since, I believe, 2022. And it served its time. I love it. It's great. It was Still a bit too broad for what business owners actually needed, and the word productivity, productive, it feels like it's, it's just too negative of a word for a lot of people right now, and we're actually gonna go deeper into that in another episode this week because, ooh, I have a lot to say about this word specifically, and yeah, we're just not gonna get into it right now because I'm gonna go off on a whole rant, but there is gonna be another episode dropping this week on this topic, so come back. Subscribe to the podcast and come back and listen to that. But the point is, people really need systems, and systems is not just the things that we think we need, which, you know, as business owners, we tend to think about the project management tools and automations, but I'm talking about systems that incorporate, include your entire life as well, systems at home, and those systems don't always necessarily mean more tools or more routine charts. Like that is not what we're talking about, but in general, we all need systems. And so here is what's staying the same. It's still me. Hey, it's the same person. It's the same heart that I'm going to be sharing from. It's still my no-fluff approach, my energetic, cheerful, encouraging self, where core productivity and business systems, that content is not going anywhere. So we're still talking about Trello, and workflows, and task management, and prioritization, and all of those things are still here, but we're just now adding in more of those home and life system episodes mixed in. So I'm talking about routines, rest, rhythms, support at home, literally at home. Faith, my faith has been a huge part of this entire process. It's been, it's always been a part of who I am and who I have been as a business owner. But I am definitely feeling more, feeling more called to be even more bold with my faith and giving all of myself to you. So what that means is including the parts that came from a Bible study revelation or a process that I mapped out because of one passage reading. Like, those are all things that have ultimately helped me run the business the way that I run it, and what I want to help you find at peace, what I want to help you find peace with running as well. So faith will show up on the podcast naturally where it fits because it honestly has made working just so much easier and so much more peaceful for me, and that's what I want for you too. So that's gonna be another little bit that is changing on the podcast. And you're just gonna get a fuller picture of what systems really cover. So all of the things, right? We talked about some examples, but other ones are habits, organization, mindset, planning, focus. There's a lot under the productivity umbrella. Systems is actually one of them. And we're gonna touch on all of the different things for your business and real life. So the bottom line is if you're a longtime listener, nothing that you loved is going away. I'm adding the real lifeness that I have been holding back on because I was so focused on business systems specifically. So this podcast, again, is for solopreneurs who want sustainable systems in their business and life. All right, so before I let you go, I have to tell you what's coming this week because this launch week is such a fun one. I'm so, so excited. We are going to have three episodes dropping this week. The next one after this one is already posted, so go listen to that one. And then I got two more coming later this week. So I have one coming tomorrow and one coming on Wednesday. After launch week, I'm going to be 100% honest because this is, you know, this is what it's all about. I do not like boxing myself in. All of the coaches, all of the experts say you have to be consistent, you have to be consistent. I have episodes on consistency. Go listen to those so you can hear my take on consistency. And so what you can expect from me is two to three episodes per month. I will try my best to create some sort of consistent cadence, but again- I don't like boxing myself in, and I'm being very honest. So the best thing you can do is hit subscribe on the podcast, so that way you do know once the next episode is released, and come join my free community, because that is where you'll stay up to date with all of the things, all of the conversations that come from the podcast, or honestly, the tidbits that the community gets first, because they were right in my head, right in the moment, and they get to hear it first. And right now, again, if you're listening to this in real time, then I am running a punch card. You know those little punch cards that you get, like, at the coffee shop, and it's like you go so many times, you get your little punch in, and so many gets you, like, a free gift or a free smoothie or a free coffee? That's what we're doing inside of the community right now. So punches equals entries, which equals how many episodes you listen to. There's prizes, which the main big prize includes free coaching with me for two whole weeks. Now, this is only available until May 22nd, '26. So 2026. So this is launch week, okay? So if you're listening to this in real time, go join the community. Jump in on this. It's going to be so much fun. And if you're listening to this afterwards, still come join the community because this is where all of the fun things like this are going to happen always. So come join the community anyways. Now, before we wrap up, go listen to the episode that has already dropped this week. Come back tomorrow and on Wednesday for... or tomorrow and Thursday for the next episodes. Join my free community, and I'm so, so excited that you are here through this journey. I'm so, so excited for where this podcast is going, how it's going to help you moving forward, and I will see you in the next one. Cheers to better systems, less overwhelm, and more peace. See you in the next one.
