Mary Smith: Family, Networking & Being YOU!
Feb 23, 2023 Episode 16
Margaret "Mo" Smith / Mary Smith

You're listening to I love it when... I am your host, Mo, and I'm a speaker, coach and retreat facilitator. You're in the right place if you're looking for inspiration, education and a path to find your true self.

My intention is to bring you stories that will help you uncover the magic within so that you can truly: BE YOU.

I love it when... I have the opportunity to learn a new perspective! 👀

🎙️In This Episode:
I remember walking into the Northgate Mall when I was 13 with my Mom. We were there to shop around and probably give my Mom a chance to get out of the house. I very distinctly remember thinking to myself as we walked in: "I don't care who sees me here with my Mom- she's my Mom AND she's also her own person AND she's my friend!" If you're in my circle of friends/acquaintances at some point you'll most likely meet my parents because they're an integral part of my life. I have always made an effort to share and connect with my parents in a way that I know many people don't get to experience. I am grateful every day for their relentless love, playful spirits and deep desire to support me and my 3 younger brothers. They both taught me and have reiterated this since I was born: it is 100% ok to be me- and I will always be loved exactly as I am.
Today you get to meet my Mom, Mary Smith- quite well known in the Seattle, WA area as she spent 27 years working for the Seattle Public Schools. Tune in for this episode and please share this with friends and family!

✨The 411 on Mary:
I live in Edmonds, WA with my husband of 43 years, Andy. I was born in 1954 into a large Catholic family - I am #5 of 6 children. I attended Forest Ridge, a Catholic girls school from Kindergarten through 12th grade.  I graduated from the UW in 1976 with a BA in Liberal Arts. We have four grown children, three daughter-in-laws and 7 wonderful grandchildren. I worked for 27 years for Seattle Public Schools. I retired in 2019 and spend my time doing crafts and lunching with my sisters.
