Day 56 – Remembering Grace and Humility

Deuteronomy 6–9
Luke 7

God repeatedly calls His people to remember. In Deuteronomy chapters 6 to 9, Moses reminds Israel that their story is shaped by grace. The Lord rescued them, sustained them, and remained patient even when they failed. Moses warns that prosperity can lead to forgetfulness. Success can quietly turn hearts toward pride. Remembering God’s mercy guards against this danger. In Luke chapter 7, Jesus responds to people with compassion and authority. He heals the sick, raises the dead, and honors those who approach Him with humble faith. These moments reveal that God welcomes those who recognize their need for grace.

When we listen to these readings side by side, a clear truth emerges. Remembering God’s grace keeps our hearts humble and faithful.

So what might faithfulness look like today? Here are three simple and practical steps shaped by today’s readings.

First, thank God for one blessing in your life that you know you did not earn.

Second, practice humility in one conversation today by listening carefully before speaking.

Third, express your love for God through one intentional act of obedience.

As you carry this into your day, remember this. Gratitude protects the heart from pride and keeps faith rooted in God’s grace.

Thank you for joining me today. Walk humbly, remember God’s kindness, and respond with grateful trust. Until tomorrow, may humility and gratitude guide your steps.
